Earlier I implemented file transfer using TFTP in which my stm32 module was working as a server. But now I want to make it work as a TFTP client. Is there any example regarding TFTP client.

Hi everybody,I am currently working on an STM32F446REDatasheet I need to save some bytes like 10 for example. I need to save some bytes like 10 for example, in flash memory to save my HMI configuration.I have read articles and done research but I don't understand everything.The memory is divided into sectors. I think I have to write my data to the end of the memory. However, the last sector is 128kB. Do I have to erase 128kB each time? Isn't there a simpler and less resource-intensive method? Can't we just delete a 2KB page?I really need to save only a few variables Thank you to reading me

Hello  everyone,  I started learning programming on the STM32 ecosystem a few weeks ago, and I'm currently trying to get data from the VL53L8CX sensor using the NUCLEO-F401RE expansion boards and the vl53l8cx_api. I wrote a small program based on what I have seen in other projects, but my code doesn't work at all. While debugging, I discovered that the program jumps to the HardFault_Handler() function at this line in vl53l8cx_init().   status |= VL53L8CX_WrByte(&(p_dev->platform), 0x7fff, 0x00); Here is the essential part of my code maybe someone have any solution: #include "vl53l8cx_api.h" #include "main.h" #include "stm32f4xx_hal.h" #include <stdio.h> // Private variables --------------------------------------------------------- static VL53L8CX_Configuration tof_dev; // Sensor-Konfiguration static VL53L8CX_ResultsData results; // Ergebnis der Messung static int32_t status ; // Status für Fehlerbehandlung static void MX_VL53L8CX_SimpleRanging_Process(voi

Hello, I am using a STM32G0B1xx MCU with the X-CUBE-TCPP v4.1.0 stack an FreeRTOS. I am trying to setup a USB-c port with OTG-functionality. I am having some problems understanding your X-CUBE-TCPP-stack.Some background info:I am initializing the software with MX_UCPD1_Init() and MX_USBPD_Init() provided by the original stack/CubeMX. I am testing the connection with several USB-devices an -hosts.  We tested a previous version of our software on a  NUCLEO-G071RB in combination with a X-NUCLEO-DRP1M1 with your Tool "STM32CubeMonitor-UCPD", which was working fine. 1. The DPM_Params[0].PE_DataRole is always defined as USBPD_PORTDATAROLE_UFP, no matter what i connect to the USB-c port. Is this intended? 2. I do not get a Notification for USBPD_NOTIFY_DATAROLESWAP_UFP or for USBPD_NOTIFY_DATAROLESWAP_DFP in here, no matter what I connect to the USB-c port:/** * @brief Callback function called by PE to inform DPM about PE event. * @PAra

Hello!I wonder if anyone has had experience making a dimmer on an STM32F746? For example, want the display to dim after 1 minute of being idle. It should remain bright enough to read, then return to full brightness on touch.I saw some posts that PWM should be used with a Timer pin, but this doesn't appear to be an option on the STM32F746?Thanks,the Windmill

Hello,I created a timer for a display using two text areas. One is a text area with a single wildcard (i.e. minutes), and another is a text area with two wildcards (i.e. seconds). It runs fine for ~9 minutes and 4 seconds but then suddenly the text area with two wildcard randomly generates a ? on the second wildcard, and this occurs on both the simulation and on the hardware that I am running. The typography has the 0-9 wildcard ranges, for all font sizes used. There are rare occasions when the question mark (?) goes away, but I do not know at what time that occurs. Any help is greatly appreciated.Here is the code that controls the timer.HPP code#ifndef RACETIMERVIEW_HPP #define RACETIMERVIEW_HPP #include <gui_generated/racetimer_screen/RaceTimerViewBase.hpp> #include <gui/racetimer_screen/RaceTimerPresenter.hpp> #include <touchgfx/canvas_widget_renderer/CanvasWidgetRenderer.hpp> #include <touchgfx/Color.hpp> class RaceTimerView : public RaceTimerViewBase { pu

Respected Members,We are using STM32Cube Package 1.16.0 and STM32CubeIDE v1.12.1. We have 10,000 devices in market with BLE stack v1.16.0 and FUS v1.2.0 (STM32WB5MMG). We encountered a BLE related disconnection bug that was resolved when we switch to BLE stack v1.21.0 so now the idea is to wirelessly OTA BLE stack of CM0+ and firmware binary of CM4+.But the problem is that whenever I make a call to FUS using SHCI_C2_FUS_GetState(NULL), it is blocked and keeps waiting on shci_send( SHCI_OPCODE_C2_FUS_GET_STATE, 0, 0, p_rsp ); This call never returns if I check with debugger (STLINK-V3 using IDE attached).Now, if I manually start FUS from CubeProgrammer, then re-run the firmware, FUS get state works but I cannot do this on working devices deployed in the field. If BLE stack is running, I cannot seem to get this call SHCI_C2_FUS_GetState(NULL) to work.The startup script and linker script is attached as well along with .ioc file used to generate project (wb_1.21.0.zip). Hi everyone, after I've configured TouchGFX, the program needs to be manually run in Keil's debug environment to execute. Why is that?My ICNA3306_DrawBlock data transfer did not use DMA.

Hi,what is the best way (excluding asking them to use TouchGFX) to show a preview of a touchGFX project - with just button functionality to navigate between screens - to a someone?Is there perhaps a viewer for Window or can a project be compiled and sent as .EXE?If not, what is the best way to send someone an interactive TouchGFX UI project (again, all I need is the navigation between screens through the buttons in the UI)?Thank you

Just a question: I'm using the following code snippet: void HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback(TIM_HandleTypeDef *htim) { if (htim == mod_timer){ pwm_timer->Instance->CCR4 = sinetab[loop_cnt++]*global_adc1/4096.; //setzt neuen PWM-Wert aus Tabelle if(loop_cnt == MAX_SAMPLES){ loop_cnt=0; HAL_ADC_Start_IT(&hadc1); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED_GPIO_Port,LED_Pin, SET); } } } void HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback(ADC_HandleTypeDef *hadc) { global_adc1= HAL_ADC_GetValue(hadc); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED_GPIO_Port,LED_Pin,RESET); }  Do I have to care about  HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc1 );If yes, I assume I would do that once in program start in main()? And how do I wait for calibration completion?

Hi all,I'm working with an STM32-based motor control setup ( The EVSPIN32F0251S1 board is a 3-phase complete inverter based on the STSPIN32F0251 controller), and I have a physical PMSM motor that I want to use with FOC (Field Oriented Control).I need help figuring out the following motor parameters:Parameters I want to find:Stator resistance (Rs in Ohms) Stator inductance (Ls in mH) Back-EMF constant (in Vrms/kRPM or Vpeak/kRPM)Maximum mechanical RPM What I have: Physical motor only and basic data (no datasheet)PMSM motor Volt -24Current -4.3 ampPower -105WRPM - 500 Hz- 83.3 HzPole Pair -10Torque -2.0 NmCan measure with multimeter, oscilloscope, etc.Using STM32 Nucleo-F446RE board Planning to use STM32 Motor Control Workbench & SDKMy questions: What is the best method to measure Rs and Ls accurately with basic lab equipment?How can I measure or estimate the BEMF constant?Is there a reliable way to determine the maximum safe RPM if the motor model is unknown?Can the STM32 MC Workben

OK, this is perhaps a fairly stupid question but I do not get it.I have an analogue voltage in range -5V..+5V and wantto measure it with the ADC of an STM32F446. The ADC-input works in range 0..3.3V.I have the feeling I can do that with a simple, resistor-based voltage divider that pulls down the 10V effective of the input value to the 3.3V the ADC expects.But...how has ti voltage divider to look like when going with +-5V, means when it starts at -5V?

Hello@STTwo-32 @Remi QUINTIN , We are using STM32WB55RG MCU for our development. From the examples I came to know that the BLE device  initially starts advertising as peripheral and the mobile device as central will be able to scan the device and initiate the connection. Once connected the device advertising is stopped. But, I came through the BLE stack document and find out it is possible to have simultaneous connections with the BLE peripheral device upto 8. I have been trying to have multiple connections of the BLE, like I want the device to be connected as well as advertiser so that it is possible to connect to with other central devices.Do we have any examples in the STM32WB SDK which shows this behavior of connecting with multiple devices?If yes, please let me know. I have tried my side, changing few lines of code in the software as shown belowFirstly, In app_conf.h, i changed maximum number of simultaneous connections that the device will support to

Good morning everyone,We bought a STM32F103C8T6 Evaluation Board ADS1256 (https://www.amazon.it/Lodokdre-STM32F103C8T6-acquisition-Industrial-Control/dp/B0C582B33D), after writing the firmware I am trying to debug it with the ST-LINK V2 programmer (https://www.digikey.it/it/products/detail/adafruit-industries-llc/2548/6827110). When loading the STM32CUBE IDE firmware I get the error:Error in final launch sequence:Failed to start GDB serverFailed to start GDB serverError in initializing ST-LINK device.Reason: (18) Could not verify ST device! Abort connection.Reading some forums they advise me to use OpenOCD as a debugger, but even with this setting I can't communicate.STM32CubeProggrammer allows me to communicate with the board, but at this stage of work I need the debugger.Can someone kindly give me some advice?Thank you very muchGian

Hello Everyone,I am currently working on a project to determine if it is possible to differentiate between a glass cup and other types of cups using VL53L8CX sensor data histograms, and also to detect the fill level. I have already collected data from the sensor using Example 12 provided in the Ultra Lite Driver, and I have written a small Python script to visualize my data.My first challenge is switching between the 4x4 histogram data format and the 8x8 format. The second challenge is interpreting the incoming bins_data to understand the differences between, for example, a ceramic cup (which is already possible using just the distance data) and an empty glass cup (using the histogram data to make a distinction, detect the edge, and determine the fill level).  Here below is my code stmIDE  Code//__________MY CODE ___________ p_dev.platform.address = 0x52; Reset_Sensor(); if (status != VL53LMZ_STATUS_OK){ printf("vl53lmz_init failed : %d\n"); return status; }

Hi,I think I have found a bug in CubeMX v6.12.0.I have an STM32U595 with USB OTG HS.My USB peripheral is set to use the HSE as it's clock (not PLL1):However, when I try to set the oscillator source for PLL1 to the HSI, CubeMX gives an error declaring that "Only HSE is possible when OTG_HS is using PLL1", which would be try, except OTG_HS is configured to use HSE, not PLL1:Can you either confirm this is fixed in a later version of CubeMX, or otherwise fix it!

hi,Previously i was using STM32L010K8TX which has 8K memory. I did OTA update in this device via Uart with help of external controller which receive hex file from User. Currently am using STM32L010R8Tx which has 64K memory. And i tried the same OTA program to update the application in this new device but after OTA update the user application is running proper.The external device which receive hex file has a debug communication port to monitor STM32L0 device by communicating in UART. After updating the application the UART communication not at all responding to external device.After completing the OTA update am using GO command to run application (0x08000000) and making Boot Pin Low ( which is making HIGH When Entering to OTA mode). Am using same OTA file commands flow to update which was used for previous device (stm32L010K8Tx) including the memory locations.  but in new device after updating the OTA it stops working Uart peripheral. I am not sure about other peripherals

Hi,I designed a screen like the one below. The page works very well in the simulator. However, when I load it into the demo kit (STM32N6570 DK), nothing appears on the screen. When I hide one of the texts, thinking it might be related to the buffer, the screen appears on the kit without any problems.Increasing the Canvas buffer did not solve the problem. Where can I see the size of all the text icons etc. loaded on the screen? How can I calculate it?I use a special font in the texts I add. Also, the product will support more than one language. What should I pay attention to regarding size?I'm sharing my settings.BR,Onur

Hi.I am currently working on a custom board using the stspin32g4. This was derived from the evspin32g4 development board alone with the stm32 motor workbench. Uploading the motor workbench code to the evspin32g4, works and can tune the motor parameters through serial.Moving away from the development evspin32g4 to a custom board has become a tad tricky. I am able to possible flash the custom board's stspin32g4 microcontroller using the ST-link/V2 programmer/ debug tool. However, I couldn't get the serial uart port working. I can confirm the source code is exactly the same (Being uploaded) to the evspin32g4 (So I don't think it's a programming issue).At first, I tried confirming the UART is working correctly. I used the SFR in the stm32 IDE debug tab and modified the registers (When it is in debug mode) (Register USART1 --> RDR (Checking byte sent from the computer serial port application matches the hex value present) and (Register USART1 --> TDR (Writing a hex value and confirmin

Hello, I am trying to build a power supply to power a vehicle tracker.  Can I use two RBO40 in series, so the output of first RBO40 connected to input of second RBO40?  Reason, when a thief steals a vehicle they want to stop the tracker working and sending out GPS coordinates, and quickly.  If they find the tracker's power cable but cannot find tracker because they are quickly working in a public area like a car park they might consider using high voltage like connecting up to 230volts to kill the tracker.  While we can never be sure what actions the attacker will do my thinking is the first RBO40 will be toast and assuming it has created an open circuit, the second RBO40 will continue to ensure nothing bad happens to the battery backed tracker. Putting the above scenario aside, and it isn't my question because there are too many ifs and buts, my question to ST Community is can I safely use two RBO40 in series for about $2-4 to protect $200-400 of components? Thanks

I encountered two problems while learning the Extrapolate library:One of the issues is that I am not very clear about this extrapolation value, and I don't know if there is a problem understanding it. I have always believed that this extrapolated value is a predicted data value made by AI after reading the raw data of my sensor and predicting the trend of sensor changes. However, while studying, I found that this value seemed to need to be set by myself, which made me very confused.Another question that I derived from the first one is that I am not sure what kind of data should be included in Add Singal. In my personal understanding, if I have two columns of data, is the first column the predicted value I set myself? Is the second column my original sequence?Then I tried to search for information in comments and online, but I found that I still couldn't find more information about the Extrapolate library in this NanoEdge AI studio. If you know, can you help me solve these two confusion

hi, im using stm32g474vet6 mcu for power converter. when the supply is turned on initially first time, controller is behaving like hang or stuck somewhere. if i do a pushbutton reset, the mcu starts working fine. after that no issue. whenever im turning off and on the power supply, that time controller is not responding or hanging.what to do for this. since nrst pin not pulled down or pull up. only boot pin is pulled down with 10kohms. i think in debugging mode, controller will alive only, this problem will not come. initially some code issue or init issue or configuration issue if there also, but after the reset mcu starts working finely.so what happens with the initial supply on time. since i have changed power supplies also. after changing the power supply, if i turn off and on(POR) , during that time also hanging is happening.whenever main supply turn off and on this probelm is coming one time, after push button reset only mcu starts working fine.can anyone suggest what to do&
