Posted on November 16, 2017 at 13:42I use the DSI interface in the STM32F469 microcontroller and I try to read this by means of the HAL_DSI_READ function - but data are read not completely, only 1 byte from four. Tell me please how it is correct to use this function, can be somewhere to eat examples?

Posted on November 13, 2017 at 18:04Hello,I am using the STM32F429ZIT uC and it is currently communicating with another uC through SPI. The STM32 is slave and the other is the master. The master sends 10 bytes and the slave replies with another 10 bytes in full duplex. Every 150ms.The communication works fine , attached you can see 'Working_with_all_the_Frames.jpg'. (yellow = CS, green = MISO, white = CLK).But after a while (randomly 10 min, 1h ...) the communication is corrupted just in the MISO signal , the STM32 sends the 10 bytes frame but instead of sending Byte0 Byte1 Byte2 Byte3 Byte4 Byte5 Byte6 Byte7 Byte8 Byte9 Byte10, (LSB first)it sends:Byte10 Byte0 Byte1 Byte2 Byte3 Byte4 Byte5 Byte6 Byte7 Byte8 Byte9, IT IS MOVED TO RIGTH 1 byte!?!?Attached you can see the capture 'Working.jpg' with byte0 = 0x02 and the rest of the bytes = 0. In the other capture 'NOT_working.jpg' is a capture with the problem. Both uC were working properly for a while and suddenly the STM32 uC started t

Posted on November 14, 2017 at 15:41 Hello everyone, I'm new to STM32 microcontrollers. I'm currently working on my first project using this microcontroller, it is for a motor control application. I am trying to set up the PWMs, I'd like to run them at a frequency of 15kHz and they must be center aligned. I am able to get edge aligned signals at this frequency, but when trying to set to center aligned the frequency drops to 58kHz. What am I doing wrong here? /* Compute the value to be set in ARR register to generate signal frequency at 156 Khz */ TimerPeriod = (SystemCoreClock / 35156); /* Compute CCR1 value to generate a duty cycle at 25% for channel 1 */ Channel1Pulse = (uint16_t) ((TimerPeriod + 1) - ((uint32_t) 25 * (TimerPeriod - 1)) / 1000); /* Compute CCR2 value to generate a duty cycle at 25% for channel 2 */ Channel2Pulse = (uint16_t) ((TimerPeriod + 1) - ((uint32_t) 25 * (TimerPeriod - 1)) / 1000); /* Compute CCR3 value to generate a duty cycle at 0% for channel 3

Posted on October 28, 2017 at 07:17       Hi Can I connect the positive output voltage terminal of my off-line power supply using Viper16L to AC-main's (N) terminal (doesn't make sense though) to trigger a snubberless triac (T435-800T) as I drawn below. Is there any way to avoid isolated power supplies in such cases? Please let me know your opinion. Thanking you.   #triac #snubberless

Posted on November 15, 2017 at 19:54I am using STM32F042F6 uC.  I am not sure why this HAL_PWR_EnterSTANDBYMode() does not put the uC to sleep mode.  But the odd thing is in certain condition, it does go the Standby mode, but in some other boards, the uC does not go to standby mode.  I would think this function is unconditionally put the uC to Standby mode.  Is there any condition in which the uC cannot be put into Standby mode?  Why would in some condition I can put uC in standby and in some I could not? Thanks.

Posted on November 16, 2017 at 11:32Hi !I'm working on a STM32L031 project, and I need to read 10 digital 0V-3v3 Inputs.Everything works fine if i'm reading 5 inputs (PA3, PA4, PA5, PA6, PA7). It is also working if I'm reading 5 other inputs (PB3, PB4, PB5, PB6, PB7).But as soon as I plug both PA3, PA4, PA5, PA6, PA7 and PB3, PB4, PB5, PB6, PB7, it stops working.I checked using a voltmetre in the 10 inputs config, and 4 inputs don't rise to 3v3, but only 1V.So It only reads 3 inputs of (PA3, PA4, PA5, PA6, PA7) and 3 inputs of (PB3, PB4, PB5, PB6, PB7).Would it be a problem of current sinking ? or just a wrong software configuration ?I tried configuring inputs with and without pull down.I checked GND is common to every inputs.Any ideas ?thanks for your time.Hugo#current-sink #digital-input #stm32l0 #3v3

Posted on August 28, 2017 at 13:46Hello everyone,I am setting up a project to make some tests with an STM32F7 MCU. I am using the STM32Cube HAL and the idea is to configure some timers and their interrupts using this HAL. The board is equipped with and 25MHz HSE so in the code I am configuring the HSE and disabling the PLL.The problem is that if I don't write the SysTick_Handle() function inside my code the MCU and the interrupts don't work. The PC goes to the SysTick_Handler() defined inside 'startup_stm32f769xx.s'.I am trying to understand why is it a must to define the SysTick_Handler() in the code so you can use the HAL properly but I am not sure whether I really understand why.In the FAQs of the HAL manual the third step of the sequence to use the HAL drivers is:'Add HAL_IncTick() function under SysTick_Handler() ISR function to enable polling process when using HAL_Delay() function'But I am not using the HAL_Delay() function, so why I need to define it?Anyone can help with this?

Posted on November 10, 2017 at 13:29Hello,I am using the arm-eabi-none- toolchain on Mac OS X 10.11 using STM32CubeMX 4.22.1 to create the initialization code, a Makefile that I wrote and the ST-Link/v2 for programming.  With that environment, I can get SWO printf debugging working without problems.  However, when I use the same software together with the Makefile created by STM32CubeMX (with 'Makefile' selected in the 'Toolchain / IDE' box), SWO pintf debugging does not work.  Sadly, I have to switch from my hand-crafted Makefile to the one generated by STM32CubeMX and so I must get this working. Can anyone help with this?  I can post a minimum example if necessary, but I suspect that there is a flag missing somewhere.  Since my Makefile searches the Drivers subdirectory for all files that meet the search criteria, but the STM32CubeMX Makefile doesn't appear to do that, I think that mine is including a file that the Cube one doesn't.Could someone adv

Posted on November 08, 2017 at 15:28I have a ST-LINK-V1 connected to a OLIMEXINO-STM32, an F103RBT6 using the System Workbench.Using the ST-LINK utility I can see that I communicate to the ST-LINK. I can flash the com light and change basic configuration. But when I try to connect to the device it times out without much feedback as to why.Trying to connect for debug on the WB there is more detailed information. It seems to connect, I see the unit voltage but it says '0' breakpoints and something about not connecting through JTAG even though i have SWD selected. Since I an writing this from my cel phone, I'll submit this and go to the computer to to collect images and data and post a subsequent post.

Posted on November 12, 2017 at 16:57I make a simple project to write and read data from FLASH OTP. I checked states of 16 blocks in OTP , have 3 block is block (state 0x00) and i write to other block with state 0xff. But i just correct only 1 times, and i try to change some data to write and read it back again, it's wrong data. Please help me to dead with this problem , and how i can 'unblock' 3 block are blocked with st-utility 5.1.

Posted on November 12, 2017 at 19:09Hi,I am using this micro controller for one of my application. My need is to store some data permanently and retrieve it when required. I could find this series of controller has 8KB EEPROM. I want to write some configurations and read them as and when required. I have tried to look online for some available library for this purpose but failed to do so. I could find some definitions available in 'stm32l1xx_flash.c' for flash/eeprom write but there is no definition for reading from it. I have also tried to check the concerned registers which can be used to read data from eeprom in the STM32L152 series reference manual but unable to find any.Can anyone please help me in this regard?RegardsSingh

But then again it says ''The LIS2DE12 contains a 10-bit, 32-level FIFO''. Why?I am assuming it is 8bit, but then why do I need to read two bytes (for example, to get X-axis value from OUT_X_H [29h] ) ? Isn't it supposed to be 1 byte for a single axis, 3 bytes for a single FIFO and 96 bytes for whole FIFO as opposed to 2bytes, 6bytes and 192 bytes?#accelerometer #mems
