Editing an IOC in CubeMX IDE and using Pin & Configuration view, changing a pin's special-function or user label does not mark the IOC as changed. Consequently File Save remains grayed-out and it is not possible to save the changes.@Markus GIRDLAND - Please confirm you can reproduce this and a ticket has been opened, Thanks!Best Regards, DavePS: IOC attached illustrates the problem.STM32CubeIDE, Version: 1.0.2, Build: 3566_20190716-0927Try changing pin PA4

We are planning to use three L7987 DC/DC switching regulators on our interface module. All L7987 should be synchronized and should operate with the same frequency set with an external resistor on the pin FSW.In datasheet https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/l7987.pdf (chapter 4.1, page 13) it is mentioned that the same resistor on pin FSW should be used for multiple L7987. It says: “In case two or more (up to five) L7987 SYNCH pins are tied together, the L7987 IC with higher programmed switching frequency is typically the master device; however, the SYNCH circuit is also able to synchronize with a slightly lower external frequency, so the frequency pre-adjustment with the same resistor on the FSW pin, as suggested above, is required for a proper operation.?So ,what does that mean? Should each L7987 should connected to one resistor with the same resistor value (R1=R2=R3=20kOhm) or should only one resistor R1=20kOhm connected to the pins FSW of the three L7897 ? NOTE: This

I need a network connection for my project. Does the network PHY have to be programmed in CM4 via LwIP ... or does communication via OpenAMP to the CA7 work? Are there examples of a simple web server that can switch a port or similar? Thank you very much for your effort.

Hi,I am working with stm32mp157-dk2. Arduino connector CN16-pin5 is giving 5v.How can I switch on/off this pin in my M4 program ?I couldn't find a solution or example, could you please help me ?

Hi ,  My name is Midhun .I want to know is it possible to read from multiple channels of same timer in input capture mode...?I am using Stm32f401RE Nucleo board ,Using MDK ver 5.0 on KEIL IDE.Our project includes a multitude of optical encoder units which we used to find the position of dc motors associated with it .Is it is possible to access multiple encoder unit reading which are connected to different channels of a particular timer ,If yes how to read value by addressing the timer channel specifically using the HAL API functions..?

I need to change all occurences of variable names. These names happen to be in a lot of .C and .H files hundred times. Source is from a collegue with "xz2b3" kinda variable names. I'd like to change variables to longer, more talkative names. Some IDE editors feature some Ctrl-Shift-F for this purpose. Any tip?

Does LIS2DH12 support hand raising detection, thx.

I'm trying to get the ADC to work with DMA Continuous Requests, and am not having any luck. I've actually seen it work once, totally randomly, but on subsequent runs all I get is a white screen on startup. I see the ADC is indeed still calling HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback and the buffer is updating , but it seems to break LCD functionality.I've tried setting ADC3 to Stream 1 instead of the default Stream 0, but that didn't help. I'm kind of at a loss as to what the actual issue is. Anyone with more experience know what might be happening?ADC3 settings: Clock Prescaler: PCLK2 divided by 4 Resolution: 12 bits Scan Conversion Mode: Enabled Continuous Conversion: Enabled DMA Continuous Request: Enabled Number of Conversions: 2Channel 4, Channel 5Stream: DMA2 Stream 1 Mode: Circular Data Width: WORDNVIC: ADC1/ADC2/ADC3 Global interrupts enabled

I am trying to define a new Typography with this ttf font (already installed in Windows), but It doesn't show up. I restarted Designer and re-installed font many times. What am I doing wrong ?.....

Hello,We are using FMC interface. Is it that the access must be in the same size of the memory data bus ?In software, the bus width is defined as following:MemoryDataWidth = FMC_NORSRAM_MEM_BUS_WIDTH_16; and the access is 16 bit as following:So, is it illegal to make the access in 32-bit if the data width is 16-bit ?Thank you!

I have installed STM32-MAT/TARGET , generated configuration with CubeMx, made simulink model, generated c code for keil, and compiled with out errors but the port is not toggling. I have been trying for last two weeks to get it work. I have attached cubemx file and simulink model with this message, kindly someone help meMatlab2019aSTMcubeMx 5.3I have tried with the simpleGPIO example supplied also, but that too didn't worked, is there any compatibility issue between the cubeMX and Matlab2019 version? The examples supplied are made with earlier version of cubeMX and Matlab

Hello ST community,I have some troubles using Quad-SPI interface in STM32H7 micro.I need to communicate with a custom part using quad SPI mode (4 data lines). The interface is configured for indirect mode and DMA is enabled. In a super-simplified case I need to execute two transactions sequentially:1. Send address byte, send two dummy cycles and read back one byte.2. Read just one byte (no address, dummy cycles and instruction words)The first transaction works fine all the time. The second transaction failed in multiple ways. In different code variants, I was able to reproduce application crashes, or producing different than intended number of clock cycles during the bus transaction, or the completion interrupt is never fired.Minimal working example:uint8_t data_rx_ready = 0; uint8_t data_packet_rx[16];   void TestRead_QuadSPI() { QSPI_CommandTypeDef cmd; HAL_StatusTypeDef res;   // FIRST TRANSACTION: address byte, dummy byte (two cycles) and one data byte to read cmd.Add

#include <iostm8l.h>#include <stdio.h>#include <string.h>#include <stdlib.h>#include "defs.h"unsigned int count = 0;@svlreg @interrupt void TIM1(void){ count += 1; TIM1_SR1 &= ~(0x01);}main(){ CLK_DIVR = 0x00; // Set the frequency to 16Mhz CLK_PCKENR2 = 0x02; // clock for timer1 PC_DDR = 0x80; // direction output for led PC_CR1 = 0x80; // fast push pull mode PE_DDR = 0x80; // direction output for led PE_CR1 = 0x80; // fast push pull mode TIM1_PSCRH = 0x3e; TIM1_PSCRL = 0x80; TIM1_ARRH = 0x3e;  TIM1_ARRL = 0x80; TIM1_CR1 = 0x81; TIM1_IER = 0x01;  _asm("rim\n"); while(1) { if (count == 1000) { PE_ODR ^= 0x80; count = 0; } }}

I'm using a Nucleo-H437ZI2 board. Set up a simple project in STM32CubeIDE with the latest firmware for H7. I enabled both Icache and Dcache, no MPUI create a uint16_t array of 12,900 elements as a buffer for an ADC conversion using DMA transfer into the bus. Since the Dcache is active, after the ADC/DMA conversion completes, I want to invalidate the cache, to ensure coherency between what the DMA transferred and what the CPU sees. So, after having read all the available L1 documents (AN4839) and some examples, I added SCB_InvalidateDCache() right after the DMA completes, and before accessing the array. But the execution hangs, and if I interrupt the execution, I see that it loops forever in the code below in core_cm7.h__STATIC_INLINE void SCB_InvalidateDCache (void) { #if defined (__DCACHE_PRESENT) && (__DCACHE_PRESENT == 1U) uint32_t ccsidr; uint32_t sets; uint32_t ways;   SCB->CSSELR = 0U; /*(0U << 1U) | 0U;*/ /* Level 1 data cache */ __DSB();   ccsi

I have a "hello world" example that works fine on a STM32F765Z6T6 (custom board). It basically waits for a USB serial port to be opened on the host side, and outputs "Hello world" every second over and over again. Unfortunately it's based on libopencm3 and my own middleware library, so the code is not easy to share. So everything works fine on the STM32F765Z6T6.I designed another board using a device from the new value line - STM32F730R8T6 (schematics attached). Curiously, my hello world example doesn't work on this new board - it doesn't enumerate.I know the USB hardware works because I can program it using the DFU bootloader, and I know my code is being run because I can get a blink example to work, and it blinks at the correct frequency (crystal frequency is the same as the board that works). I verified with an oscilloscope that the blink frequency is correct, so I don't think it's a clock setup issue (I am using the same crystal as the working board, so all the clock setup should be

Hi all, I have downloaded the crypto lib directly from the "Help->Install New Software" menù of SPC5Studio , but I do not have any idea on how to use it, include it inside a project, use sample codes (if available), and so on.Proposed link:https://my.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/software/sw_development_suite/c3/77/6e/b9/23/14/43/42/SPC5-CRYPTO-LIB.zip/files/SPC5-CRYPTO-LIB.zip/jcr:content/translations/en.SPC5-CRYPTO-LIB.zipdoes not allow to download any library!!!Could anyone be so kind as to help me? Any suggestions would be very appreciated!!!Best regards,Andrea MocciEmbedded SE developer at Eldor s.p.a.

"Contains the word aligned CPU2 boot reset start address offset within the selected memoryarea by C2OPT"SBRV sets CPU2 boot address, but I use STM32cubeProgrammer to get NUCLEO board data as follows:The starting address of CPU2 is 0x08032C00, but SFSA is 0xcb and the address is 0x080cb000. My understanding is that SFSA should be aligned with the starting address of CPU2. As the picture says:SFSA--0x080FFFFF is a dedicated area belonging to M0+，So what does it mean to set SBRV to 32C00 !

Hello!I have a quite specific question about STM32L4-MCUs. For a project, I would like to use code Readout Protection (RDP), but I have to be able to mass-erase the chip and manually upload a new image. So only RDP level 1 is an option. But with RDP, the debug port seems to have access to SRAM1 and to most of the registers. This is undesirable, because an attacker could read out all sorts of information. So my question is: is it possible to disable SWD and JTAG debugging (manually from user code) when activating RDP level 1, so that the debug interface cannot be used anymore to read out registers and SRAM1, as this functionality is not needed, but still being able to perform a forced mass-erase on the whole chip and reset it to factory, kind of?Thanks and best regards, the blackrod

Hello,I am not able to activate the module entry in Clock Component RLA. Can you please guide me how to do the configuration for sending the uc in standby mode.

I am using a CR95HF chip with ISO14443A cards. I can select the card, read it's UID and all the data storred on the card without any errors. The problem is when I remove one card out of the field and place another card in the field, it refuses to respond. The only way I can get it to respond to the next card is to reset the chip. Both cards are functional, the first card is allways read ok, but the second card allways errors no matter which card I scan first. Is there a "deselect" command ?Also what are the responce codes ? (section 5.1 of the datasheet). i.e. you send a command to the chip and get a responce code back. i.e. I think 0x87 is "bad length parameter"Thanks!

We are porting a piece of software from STM32F1 to a STM32F091.One part of the software is using bit banding. But in the library heade is no definition for the bit danding area in the memory.I fear bit banding is not supported by this special device? Is that correct?

Dear all,In hal driver datasheet, the funcion HAL_PWREx_EnableWakeUpPin is defined like this : void HAL_PWREx_EnableWakeUpPin (PWREx_WakeupPinTypeDef * sPinParams)In stm32h7xx_hal_pwr.c from STM32Cube FW_H7 V1.5.0 library is defined like this : void HAL_PWR_EnableWakeUpPin(uint32_t WakeUpPinPolarity)Is there a mistake ?Thanks,

Hi,I am working on the power delivery expansion pack with cpm tcp architecture by using STM32F072 and PTN5110 as tcpc. Right now i am configuring one of the ports for sink and connect to PD2 capable source device. I am able to get 5v default voltage. however for the later stages of power negotiation i have been stuck at where the Sink generates the last GoodCRC message. this has been always get stuck within the PE_State Machine which is not accessible. Is there a way to get an access to this core function to figure out why the negotiation get stuck? In attach you can see the log file of the traces i m getting. Please feel free to comment on the negotiation, how it should be, if there is something else wrong and how to fix it!
