Does ST25DV64K support the extendedReadMultipleBlocks command sent by iOS 13?Although the data sheet says it supports but when I try that command using iOS 13, I keep getting the error: Tag Response Error. And when I set the start block number larger than 256, it tells me that the range can't be out of (0,255), it's kinda weird, I'm using extended command, it should have 2 Bytes to stand for the address. (I have seen the source code of the app: STNFC Sensor, it seems not using this command)

I know that it's straightforward to just try, but currently I don't have the board at hand...This doubt has arisen while I was unit testing some corner cases of my timer functions on the development machine (with mocks and so on).For the common case, the reference manual is quite clearBut, let's say that Counter register has value 30, what happens if I set TIMxARR to 30?I would expect that a fraction of tick later, the update event is triggered. And what happens if I set TIMxARR to 29? I've skimmed through reference manual, datasheet and timer cookbook (application note), but I didn't find anything in this regard.I have kinda the feeling that to someone with some experience in implementing hardware timers with FPGA/ASIC, this should be quite obvious. But I'm not sure.Is there any "hidden knowledge" I'm not aware of, for which the behaviour in this case is so obvious that doesn't merit to be documented?

Hello everyone, I've made a code within my STM32f405 MCU that writes SD 4 bits wide bus onto an SD card. I'm making a program where "HAL_CAN_RxFifo0MsgPendingCallback" fills a "uint32_t dataCANID[14339]" array and increments a counter. This counter value in the main() will continue until its filled the "buffer-1" and f_writes & f_syncs, resets the counter value to overwrite the buffer with new CAN ID messages. I'm running into an issue where I'm losing HUGE amounts of data ~roughly 30% of CAN messages coming in.My test runs as follows:USB-CAN adapter sends X amount of messages, I compare it with the written SD bin file on how many IDs were written, then account for the max "buffer" size loss and get the difference.I'm wondering what I can do to reduce this loss or improve it?DMA transfer? Hard coding the Rxfifomessege, CAN interrupts disabled? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!Below is my main functions://MAIN while(1){   if(counttrack == (MAX_BUFFER

I need some advice on how to solve an issue with a forced hard fault IBUSERR when using ST provided emWIN freeware on a custom designed STM32F429BI based board. The STM32F429 is running HSI at 168MHz at 3.3v. As shown below, the forced hard fault IBUSERR bit is set in the CFSR register which happens every few days or so of constant operation. Every time, the LR points to the call to LCD_UpdateColorIndices() within the GUI_SelectLCD() routine of emWIN - see attached disassembly screen shot. I've experienced the error with emWIN v5.28 and v5.32. I've also experienced the error with overdrive disabled and enabled, prefetch disabled and enabled, and instruction/data cache enabled and disabled. Flash latency is set for 5 wait states (I'm currently running tests with 6) . I've contacted Segger and they can't provide any support without licensing the source code. Has anyone else had this problem? Why is IBUSERR happening during calls in the GUI_SelectLCD()? Any recommendation on what to try?

I’m using STM32746G-Discovery board. Can you share latest Demonstrations software binary file? I want to flash STM32746G-Discovery board with fully loaded Demonstrations binary file

I am working in small startup in Bangalore. I had designed the board using the STM32F103R8T6 controller now i am facing oscillator issue, oscillator is not working as i expected. thereafter i googled it for oscillator design guide and i found AN2867. i was reading AN2867 everything explained neatly. in Load capacitance section (page number 12/54) they explained the CL value by taking one example.CL=15pF, Cs=5pF,then CL=10pF,then CL1=CL2=20pF.at last how CL1 and CL2 become 20pF?1) if CL value is doubled then why it is doubled?2)if CL value is multiplied by 2 then why it is multiplied by 2?3) Load capacitance value should be mentioned by crystal manufacturer, then how CL should become change than the original value?4) Does designer should use manufacture specified value or should we go through this AN2867 ?kindly answer my question.i am attaching some images with this.

Hello,We are planing to use ST25R95 in a new product. It's now in a component selection stage, but we have some eval boards and test code already done, so we would like to use this IC.We need enough security to authenticate tags and prevent tag copying by users. Users reading the tag information is not an issue, as they can't copy the tag.Well, at this point I found that for doing this an standard tag is not enough, because the security features are tag signed uuid (I can copy the sign and the uuid using "black market tags") and password protected read (is not safe because password is transmitted in plain text). At this point, I find that I can use some more advanced tags as the NXP propietary Mifare desfire EV2 or Mifare Plus EV1, but, correct me if I'm wrong, I think ST does not provide support for those technologies, so in order to use it, we would have to use an NXP reader/writer.My question is if you can suggest me a way to achieve what I need. Tag authentication preventing copy, i

I'm using the demo board SPC560P - DISP and the example SPC560Pxx_RLA CAN Test Application for Discovery .This Test Application use the CAN loopback, if I remove the flag of FlexCAN Enable Loopback in the can configuration setting I'm expecting to see the correct logic value (digital side, not after transceiver) of frame transmission on the pin 109 (CANTXD).But I only see a noise an this pin every time there's an attempt of transmitting something. So something in the configuration of the pin is wrong, but I don't know the correct setting. Thanks to those who will be able to help me.

Hi,I have a project under EVT situation.I will choose the stm32h7b0vb(128K Flash + 1.18M SRAM)as the mcu for the system. The main functions is below：1,Driver a tft-lcd with touch via LTDC interface, lcd size is 640*360 pixes support rgb888 and support single touch and slide.2,Support FreeRT OS and about 10 tasks.3,8M Bytes for sampling data records storage in flash and 40K SRAM for data records write and read.4,Support DFU via ble(OTA), stm32h7b0 connect ble soc via uart.Q1:If the QSPI Flash is used for code storage and sampling data records storage, which one should be optimized(nor flash or nand flash)? What is the difference between the nor flash and nand flash? Q2:The SRAM on stm32h7b0 chip is enough for software design?Q3:How to design the dfu when use extern QSPI Flash for code storage?(I designed the dfu on internal flash on stm32f103re )Thanks for your attention.

I want to read the general accelerometer register of the I2C interface.I think it can be achieved by using HAL_I2C_Mem_Read ().I set the second argument DevAddress to the value of the accelerometer slave address shifted left by 1 bit. This is a HAL rule.At this time, is it unnecessary to set bit0 of DevAddress to 1?At the time of Read operation, I think that it is necessary to set bit0 to 1 together with the slave address.

Hello, I am testing the MP45DT02 microphone on 32F4Discovery Board. The final goal is to measure the sensitivity of the microphone(SPL) when you operate a buzzer with a frequency of 1 kHz.First I set up the I2S communication as below to activate the microphone. And below is the while loop in main function.while (1) { HAL_I2S_Receive(&hi2s2, data, 1, 100); }Question 1. Is it correct to set as shown above to read the sound data of the microphone?Question 2. Audio Frequency is 8Khz and Frame is 16Bit.      It is calculated as CLK = 8000 * 16 = 128Khz on MCU.     But when I measure my CLK with my scope, I get 256Khz.     What is the reason?Question 3. Is there an example from ST that deals with the MP45DT02 microphone with Discovery Board? Please Help me

Hi,I'm looking for the simplest way how to gather data from SensorTile board(s) on STM32MP157C-DK2via Bluetooth.Could you please help me to find some examples?Ideally it'd be nice to do it directly on Cortex-A7, e.g. by adapting/making running on STLinux the python scripts.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/BlueSTSDK_Python/blob/master/README.mdAs an alternative (if easier) that's also fine to do it on Cortex-M4. Anyway, I have firmware running there which can just "forward" the gathered data to A7.BTW: as I've found in the post, STMicroelectronics is working on the feature to install python packages via apt-get in 2020.Do you know when it's going to be implemented and whether it's possible to join beta-testing of the feature.I'd be really thankful for it :-).https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BmnKOVSQ2/how-to-install-python-package-on-stm32mp157cdk2Thank you!Kind regards, Alexander Iotko

Hi guys - Any idea how long it will take for prebuilt Altium design files for the remarkable STM32G4 series to show up? [I am specifically designing for the STM32G431RBI6, which is a tidy 5mm x 5mm BGA with 8x8=64 balls @ 0.5mm pitch.]. I don't know how long it usually takes for manufacturers to set up prebuilt design files for new ST ICs in Altium.

Hello,I am currently working with LSM6DSO and FIFO functionality.When ODR is set at 52Hz, axis values are correct but when I switch to 104Hz or 208Hz, values are not consistent. I have added my sensor configuration code and image to better explanation. Am I missing something in sensor configuration?lsm6dso_device_id_get(&dev_ctx, &whoamI); if(whoamI != LSM6DSO_ID) while(1); lsm6dso_reset_set(&dev_ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE); do { lsm6dso_reset_get(&dev_ctx, &rst); } while (rst); lsm6dso_i3c_disable_set(&dev_ctx, LSM6DSO_I3C_DISABLE);   lsm6dso_xl_full_scale_set(&dev_ctx, LSM6DSO_2g); lsm6dso_gy_full_scale_set(&dev_ctx, LSM6DSO_250dps);   lsm6dso_block_data_update_set(&dev_ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE);   lsm6dso_fifo_watermark_set(&dev_ctx, 500); lsm6dso_fifo_stop_on_wtm_set(&dev_ctx, PROPERTY_ENABLE);   lsm6dso_fifo_mode_set(&dev_ctx, LSM6DSO_STREAM_TO_FIFO_MODE);   lsm6dso_xl_data_rate_set(&dev_ctx, LSM6DSO_XL_ODR_5

Hello,I've faced some problems with setting up and sending data for STM32L496 Serial Audio Interface (I2S) using HAL functions from the PACK. Could you recommend some software examples or a sequence of actions? Thanks,Alex

I have a few thousand units using these tags in the field and have found that under some condition that I'm yet to replicate in the office the tags seem to be able to get into a state where they are unable to be interacted with by either an app (I've tried our own,the ST25 app and taginfo from NXP) whilst the host MCU is held in reset. Also I have found that they don't even detect the tag. Likewise the first thing that the MCU does on bootup is a M24SR_ReleaseSession() command which fails with a NACK from the M24SR. All subsequent comms also fail. The only way that I have found of rescuing the chip is to power the M24SR off and then power it on again after a delay. has anyone else found this at all and anyone got any ideas as to how to try rescuing them apart from the power option?

Hi,we're thinking about using the STM32MP157 in a product. However, there's still something unclear to us.We need to connect it to a display which only supports the 16-bit Intel 8080 bus (so LTDC cannot be used). I read that it's possible to emulate its graphics memory via FMC. Our plan was to let the GPU write directly to FMC so that no DMA intervention will be neccessary and no extra frame buffer needs to be allocated. Unfortunately, there's not much documentation on the 3D GPU.So our questions are: Can the GPU output pixel data directly to FMC? How does the pixel data format look like? Also important to us: Can Android run on both CA7's or is it only possible to run a TEE OS on the secure core? And would it be possible to run CM4 either completely independent or split (custom code + Android communication)? Thanks in advance,Alex

Hi,I started a project with the STM32CubeIDE and launched the TouchGFX Designer from it. I have made a simple design, then i generated the code, built it with the CubeIDE and everything worked fine, 0 errors. My problem starts when I make some modifications in the TouchGFX/generated folder, changing some things of the texts and fonts folders. Built and everythong is okay. Then, when I make a change in the Designer and press Generate Code, the things i had changed previously disappear and gives me some errors (the same ones as when i hadn't modified the folders). I don't know to fix it and i would appreciate some help on how to do it.Thanks, Dani

I am trying to use STWIN sensor tile for logging the sensors data every 30 minutes, could anyone please help me how to modify codes in HS-datalogin?

I am working with HTS221 Humidity and Temperature sensor on STM32L4 IoT node eval board. So far its working fine as far as inint and read data apis are concerned. However i have couple of questions reagarding de_init (disable) the sensor i.e putting it in power down mode.Below is the code i am using to de_init the sensor status_t de_init(int8_t DeviceAddr){ uint8_t tmp; tmp = SENSOR_IO_Read(DeviceAddr, HTS221_CTRL_REG1); /* HTS221 in power down */ tmp &= ~HTS221_PD_MASK;   /* ake HTS221 boot */ tmp &= ~HTS221_BOOT_BIT; SENSOR_IO_Write(DeviceAddr, HTS221_CTRL_REG1, tmp); }After executing this i start getting constant temperature/humidity value whenever i read from sensor. I understood that the sensor is power down mode and receving last stored (before power down) values from control registerd. Do we need to clear the control registers as well ? How to do that. ?2. Is there any way to only disable humidity or temperature alone. Currently If I put it in power down mode i cann

Context: Using STM3Cube. STM2L431CC. (256KB flash, single bank)I have RAM code that successfully erase and program page 64 to 72. The same ram-code is then used to program page 0..8.The problem it fails to erase any page in range 0..63.No interrupts are enabled. When the START bit is set it is cleared right away and the page isn't erased. Cache and pre-fetch are disabled, interrupts to. No apparent mechanism is enabled to protect page 0..64. The device isn't suppose to support dual-bank. The IDE shows undocumented bits in OPTR BFB2=1 and DUALBANK=1 .nBOOT1=1. Of course the SR.LOCK bit is 0 for unlocked. So what is the problem here?I can erase and program page 64 and up and can't on 0 and my code runs in RAM?

I’ve updated to IDE 1.2.1 and GFX 4.13. After a HARD uphill struggle, I finally figured out how to get a screen running on a 746 Discovery board. I can’t find how to enable the touch controller, though. In the previous software, this functionality was generated in a cpp file in the TouchGFX folder. That file contains nothing but comments now, with no code to initialize or service touch events. How do we get the touch function going? We need some clear example code or instruction. (And may I vent a bit here? This release can not possibly have been regression tested. I’ve done this long enough to recognize a train wreck when I see one. ST “broke the build?, and left their base to suffer the consequences. It is inexcusable.)

In the code it says the following:/** * @brief This function writes a data buffer in flash (data are 32-bit aligned). * @note After writing data buffer, the flash content is checked. * @param pFlashStatus: FLASH_StatusTypeDef * @param pDestination: Start address for target location * @param pSource: pointer on buffer with data to write * @param Length: number of bytes (it has to be 64-bit aligned). * @retval SFU_ErrorStatus SFU_SUCCESS if successful, SFU_ERROR otherwise. */ SFU_ErrorStatus SFU_LL_FLASH_Write(SFU_FLASH_StatusTypeDef *pFlashStatus, void *pDestination, const void *pSource, uint32_t Length) { ... }The brief says 32-bit aligned and the length parameter says 64-bit aligned so which one is it? I thought I read it is either 32 or 64 depending on platform, based on sizeof of SFU_LL_FLASH_write_t.Thanks,Arno

Hello, I am relatively new in this field, and need assistance for my project at work.Recently, in order to have more RAM, I switched from STM32F4 to STM32H7. I saw that STM32H7 has 1MB of RAM, and decided to base our system on this MCU. However, after compiling my code, I see that only DTCM RAM is used by the MCU and others are not used. The DTCM RAM is now full and I can not move any further with my code. How can I make use of RAM_D1 or RAM_D2 for my variables?I am using CubeMX and Atollic Truestudio. Please kindly help me as this is vital for my work. Any help is greatly appreciated.
