i am having STM32F0103 discovery board and STM32F746ZG Nucleo. i want to check maximum speed on which i can toggle GPIO. When i select 48 MHz in STM32F0 i am getting maximum 1.25 uSec which is around 800 KHz Max.in case of STM32F7 i am running at 216 MHz - then i am getting maximum .254 uSec, that is also very low as 4-5 MHz. can any one sugget how get maximum speed of GPIO toggle. currently i am working on display panel.Let me know if more clarity required. on this community few people asked same question but no body answered correctly.

SOSI have tried the other forum suggestions but nothing seems to work so far for me. Basically I am just trying to turn an LED on/off with a set delay: while (1) {   /* USER CODE END WHILE */    HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED1_GPIO_Port, LED1_Pin, 0);    HAL_Delay(1000);    HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LED1_GPIO_Port, LED1_Pin, 1);    /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }It just hangs at HAL_Delay(1000). I am using a STM32L496G-DISCO board.

Hello,I need to know how to calculate CRC-8 of input data.I have a binary stream like (12586966 Dec or 0XC00FD6) and CRC-8(22 DEC, 0x16). Based on 0x97 polynomial how I can calculate my input binary stream CRC-8?Thanks

Hi all,I'm using STM32H750VBT6 and CubeMX 5.5.0 for my project. My problem is that I couldn't read ADC values using DMA. I have tried many ways but still stuck on this. Please provide any solution to this.Thanks,Duc-Toan Tra

Hello,I worked till now with H7 (stm32h743) and UARTs and had no issues at all.But recently I needed to port the project to L4 (stm32L496).For some reason UART now behaves differently:With polling there is no issue, but with interrupt or dma:As long as I try to read into buffer the expected number of bytes it works well. But if I do the receiving of bytes in slice (for example expecting 1024 bytes in slices of 64 bytes), I always get overrun error, even if I just doo HAL_delay(0), between each slice read.I also get the same behavior when receiving bytes in DMA in circular mode. The strange thing is that with H7 I never got this behaviour. Is it related to cpu clock cycles , cache enable/disable , or some fifo which exist in H7 and doesn't exist in L4 ?Thank you, and wishing good health to anyone out there (or IN there) in ST community, ranran

I was working with STM32CubeIDE version 1.2 and I was debugging my code with the serial console available in the IDE.I made the update to the 1.3 version and now the "open serial console" icon just disappear and I can't find it anywhere.Does the serial console has been removed on version 1.3 ?If not, where is it hidden ?Thanks in advance:PS:Here is a picture extracted from document AN5360 which explain about the serial console. This is this icon or fonctionnality that I am looking for.

I am trying to update the FUS firmware to the latest version on a STM32WB55CG, following the guide in the release notes I get Error: Firmware not authentic!. at step 5 (RSS_IMAGE_NOT_AUTHENTIC).I have the latest CubeProg version and my actual FUS is 0.5.3Am I doing something wrong? Thanks!

I am trying to get FOTA updates working with the IoT node kit and Azure.I currently have v4.0.1 installed on the board. I uploaded v4.0.2 to an azure storage account where I created a blob and uploaded the file, then generated a blob sas url.In my Azure application I created a command with the field name FirmwareUpdate with an input text field of URL. Below is the command history from Azure. The device recognizes the firmware update request, but it has an error: "Err: Parsing the FOTA command searching Start File Path" (output below). What does the error mean? I am using base software on the device and on the update file. Am I not properly storing the file to be uploaded in the cloud and generating a url for it?Received firmware update request. Use package at: [https://something.blob.core.windows.net/fotafota/Azure_IoTCentral_BL.bin?something] Err: Parsing the FOTA command searching Start File Path IoTHubClient_LL_SendEventAsync accepted message [2] forI also tried just using the URL wit

Hello, I am using STM32H753 and STM32CubeMX. In my application I use four timers timers. Two timers are used to generate PWM signaly, and the other two are used to generate time base interrupt. All four timers are synced together using the internal triggers. From the two timers, which generate time base interrupt one of them is used to control sampling rate of an ADC and the other is used to turn of all four timers after a specific time. I run the above process, running the two PWMs and the other two timers, multiple times. The first time everything works perfectly. Timers start together and run the adc and PWMS, and the last timers turns everything off at the right time. The problem is that the second time that I run the process, the timer that runs the ADC works longer than expected. In other words, when the last timer turns all timers off, the timer that controls the ADC has worked longer than expected (some milli seconds, but in my application this produces a problem) My code is re

Hi,I'm using the nucleo-h755xi for testing purposes and I'm doing configuration by using CubeMX.I have opted to using the FreeRTOS middleware for both cores, CM7 will be using TIM6 and CM4 will be using TIM7 to generate ticks for the OS.Now my question is, looking at the generated code and my settings over at CubeMX. The configuration looks as follows (I've underlined one result with red for future reference):Now, in the reference manual it says:This is how the Timer6 is supposed to look like. The generated code for HAL_InitTick looks like this:HAL_StatusTypeDef HAL_InitTick(uint32_t TickPriority) { RCC_ClkInitTypeDef clkconfig; uint32_t uwTimclock = 0; uint32_t uwPrescalerValue = 0; uint32_t pFLatency; /*Configure the TIM6 IRQ priority */ HAL_NVIC_SetPriority(TIM6_DAC_IRQn, TickPriority ,0); /* Enable the TIM6 global Interrupt */ HAL_NVIC_EnableIRQ(TIM6_DAC_IRQn); /* Enable TIM6 clock */ __HAL_RCC_TIM6_CLK_ENABLE(); /* Get clock configuration */ HAL_RCC_GetClockCo

I am having a hard time configuring the LIS2MDL via the sensorhub on the LSM6DSM. The datasheet gives very little information. I would like to check the application note but I can't reach it.

Hi.I want to use my MCU at its max Speed.I am using STM32F103C8T6( Blue Pill ).Can any one Provide good resource?can anyone Provide source code for this ?Can anyone tell me about that in my Controller Why are we using RCC_CFGR and RCC_CFGR2?What is the meaning of PLL, PLL2 and PLL3 and Differnece between them ?

I want to exchange data between M4(running custom firmware) and A7(running OpenSTLinux) by using the Linux RPMsg framework. The ST-wiki refers to https://www.kernel.org/doc/Documentation/remoteproc.txt.I tried to run the example given by kernel.org, but without success. It seems the problem is the linux/rpmsg.h file delivered by the developer package ecosystem release 1.20 (file attached below). Simply replacing the rpmsg.h file with a common one (attached below) does not solve the problem because further .h files are missing.I don't want to use the normal read() / write() functions on the ttyRPMSG.Any suggestions?thanks in advanceLukas

Hello ST and users In the ST25RU3993 EVAL boared, the micro controller interacts with the RFID reader chip through SPI interface and control signals ( 93_signals) - altogether six data lines in total. The SPI interface is also shared with a carrier cancellation chip. We wish to add an identical RFID chip and PCB externally through external interfaces ( SPI and 93_signals) and disable/not use the on-board RFID reader chip. This would perhaps allow us to use the already available firmware/GUI for this development kit and we could reduce efforts in Firmware development. Is such an approach feasible ? what are the consequence on the micro Controller and its re-programming ? is there an application notes for something similarThanks and best

Hi , while referring to example file , in the file "rfal_nfcv.h" there is function declaration "rfalNfcvPollerLockBlock" . Need more understanding on this.Exactly Locking the block means what ? Once we locked the block than can we read data from that block ??? And can we unlock the same block. Also is there any type of authentication supported by ST25R3911B for Type-V cards while reading data ?

Dear community,I am totaly new and trying to get some idea on STM32F7...boardI've got opened an example project, provied within IDE. If I compile code and download it to MCU, everything works fine: 2 LEDs are blinking:This is the main code for LEDs blinking within main function:while (1) {   while (Buttons_GetState() & 1U);       /* Wait while holding USER button */  osSignalSet(tid_Thread_LED, 1U);       /* Signal LED thread             */  osDelay(100);                          /* Wait 500ms                    */ }It does blink, when no button is pressed.in order to get better under

Hi,I am currently working on developping a guitar digital looping pedal. I following my last post, I have starting looking into using the 32F746G DISCOVERY for my app, as it includes enough RAM to store audio data and has some interesting audio features as well. Since so far my project has been developped on Nucleo-F446RE, I'm wondering how I will be able to transfer what's already made. Precision on what my prototype would do:Sample the electric guitar signal with ADC, and reproduce it in real time with DAC On the 1st press of a button, sampled data is saved in memory, while still being reproduced through DACOn 2nd press of the same button, the saved audio would start playing in a loop, while being combined with what is being played in real time. Can erase/overwrite a loop on the press of another button. Here are my principal concerns:The F746G interfaces to an audio codec via I2C, while my current project uses the ADC/DAC embedded in the microcontroller. However, after searching f

Can I use STM32MP1 without an operating system?Linux is harder for me to master than a microcontroller. It would be convenient if the cube generated code hal for the processorIs there a similar feature planned? If not, is there a step-by-step instruction on how I can run custom bsp for Linux and compile it?

Hello all, I'm using STMCubeIDE to program an STM32F042K6-T6 development board. I'm attempting to set up an elapsed time interrupt, but it doesn't seem to be working. I am running my chip at 8MHz, and I want to try blinking an LED once a second using the HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback function. Here's what I set my configuration to: Prescalar and ARR give me 8MHz/(8000 * 1000) = 1 second periodI enable the HAL_TIM_Base_Start_IT(&htim3) function, and then run the code, but the interrupt is never called. I am designing a multifunction motor control board leveraging two STM32G431RBs (64pin BGA version of the entry-level STM32G4). In due course, I anticipate the 128K Flash / 32K RAM limit on these MCUs may well be a significant limiting factor of what this board can be used for. I noticed that the STM32G491RE (in the same MCU family / package size, with 512K Flash / 112K RAM) is announced for release in Q3 2020. Will it be pin compatible? When will its datasheet be released? We won't be manufacturing large scale until Q3, but we are starting layout (using STM32G431RBs) now. I am hoping there won't be too much rejiggering of the layout required when upgrading to the STM32G491RE?
