Can someone helps me how to use the LCD on the STM32F413H-Disco, I want to display a message on it.Have you got some suggestions please?thanks

Dear STM community and teamI'd like to try out some widget on the TouchGFX Simulator but since the png-data does not show properly on the simulation, it is difficult to do so. Any idea to resolve this problem?I have attached some pictures of the simulation. Temperaturebar and icons on the buttons is not displayed correctly.

Hi,I want to update the software of the STM32F746BGT via a USB stick or Ethernet connexion.Firstly, how can I use the USB stick to update the software inside the MCU ?How can I use the Internet connexion (via UART : Lantronix XPORT) to update the software inside the MCU ?Best regards

Hello All,I was wondering if it is possible to clock another STM32 MCU (STMF031) using the single existing crystal oscillator that is currently clocking the main MCU (STM32F334). It could really save me space, power, cost and another clocking source on the board. If yes, how?BRAsrar

I am learning on using the STM32L431CC FLASH memory to store data after the microcontroller loses power. From compiling through Keil, I get:Program Size: Code=34316 RO-data=1228 RW-data=364 ZI-data=1908From the above, Is it correct that only 35Kbytes of FLASH are being used?FLASH/ROM = Code + RO-data = 34316 + 1228 = 35544 bytesSince the STM32L431CC uses Pages instead of Sectors for its FLASH, this is the code that I used to write into its FLASH memory:HAL_FLASH_Unlock(); __HAL_FLASH_CLEAR_FLAG(FLASH_FLAG_EOP | FLASH_FLAG_OPERR | FLASH_FLAG_WRPERR | FLASH_FLAG_PGAERR | FLASH_FLAG_PGSERR); HAL_FLASHEx_Erase(&lFlashPage, &PageErrorStatus); HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_DOUBLEWORD, 0x0803F800, *pData1); HAL_FLASH_Program(FLASH_TYPEPROGRAM_DOUBLEWORD, 0x0803F800 + 0x08, *pData2); HAL_FLASH_Lock();And the FLASH configuration that I used:FLASH_EraseInitTypeDef lFlashPage; lFlashPage.TypeErase = FLASH_TYPEERASE_PAGES; lFlashPage.Banks = FLASH_BANK_1; lFlashPage.Page = 127; lFlas

I'm using 'stm32f103rc'.I connected the button to the GPIO PIN.If the button is still pressed, the HIGH signal will continue to occur. So, how do you detect how long the HIGH signal has been pressed?Because when the button is pressed for more than 0.5 seconds, you want to generate a specific function.I lack knowledge of hardware.

Hi,We are using STM32F746ZET6.we have to calculate input frequency on 5 pins from 40khz to 0.01hz.currently we are using 50 micro seconds timer and at every timer interrupt we are processing frequency calculation based on the polling of the pin status(high or low), with this approach currently we are able to capture the frequency bellow 1hz with good accuracy but for frequency higher then 500hz or more we are not getting proper results, currently for 20000hz(20khz) we are getting 20014hz.we can not use GPIO interrupt other wise we will get frequent interrupts as there are total 5 pins.currently we are capturing the input raising edge using timer capture mode but in this we are not able to detect frequency decimals points, as it only calculates raising edges then we read it at every one second so number of counts in 1 second will be our frequency.but this is not giving us frequency in decimals, e.g 5.5hz, 18.9hz.can we use timer input capture for calculating frequency without more inter

How do I obtain one? Cube isn't helpful -- this isn't a filter parameter. I need an MCU with built-in backup battery domain for the RTC. I don't want to build anything external and the design must not be capable of powering up the core from the battery, even by accident. The core must remain OFF for months at a time.

Hi, I have implemented a tilt and heading calculation using the simplified heading calculation that only works when the device is horizontal, and was until now ignoring the magnetic field value on the Z ax. Now I'm trying to implement a tilt compensated heading to be able to calculate heading when the device is not horizontal, and I was starting by trying to obtain the Z ax max and min magnetic field value to compensate its offset as I did before on the X and Y axes, and noticed that the minimum is with the board lying horizontally on the table, components facing up, and the maximum is with the board lying horizontally on the table with the components facing down, I never get close to these max/min values rotating the board in any other direction. I was rotating the board vertically and the Z value varies but its max/min value when it is in a vertical position is less than half of the value when it is lying horizontally on the table. Does it makes sense? For the Z ax It seems that the

Hello, I am very new to STM32 MCUs and hoping someone can explain to me the HardFault_Handler and possible reasons why my code is jumping to here? If there is a good resource which discusses this, that would also be very useful but I haven't been able to find anything myself. Thanks,Matthew

Hi everybody. When i open "SDK5x - STEVAL-SPIN3201 - BullRunning.ioc" file (that is pre-compiled example FOC motor control firmware provided by ST), "can't add: motorcontrol files not found" fault message appears on my screen. I already copied Motor Control SDK library file into CubeMx reposity directory. But it didn't work.

Hello,I used to work with IAR.In IAR call stack, if ever you break into an ISR, the call stack shows you where you were in the "main" code just before the ISR fired. Now, with STM32Cube MX, the call stack only shows the call stack since the root ISR function, but we don't know which function has been interrupted. How to read this info ?Thanks.Best regards,V.

I am looking for the source code of CR95HF.DLL.The project successfully implements bidirectional comms between CH95HF hardware (which is based on the DEMO-CR95HF-A board) with a M24SR02-Y in the target device. We use CR95HF.DLL V1.2 with various Delphi-developed applications. A problem has been observed when the applications are used in countries that do not use US English environments. The nul-terminated paraters used in the DLL calls appear to be an issue. Data appears to be modified IN the DLL with single characters appearing as two bytes (i.e. unicode representations)My feeling is that modifying the DLL would solve this problem.

Hello,I want to use MDMA on STM32H7 to copy data from ADC to DTCM RAM. But it is not clear to me how to set it up . From ref manual I asume that there is a connection with "standard DMA" DMA1 or DMA2, maybe I have to set up a channel there to, but there is no clear instruction. Even with CubeMX it is not clear. Where to setup source and destination address? What is address mask and data mask for? DMAMUX seems to be not available in CubeMX.Is there any application note or example code? Thanks for any helpMartin

I bought the STEVAL-MKI109V3 motherboard and the STEVAL-MKI196V1 evalboard for the LSM6DSO. Now, i try to use the unico GUI to start working with the LSM6DSO, but I get the attached error message when I select the used components. Further, I tried with the DfuSeDemo program to update the Firmware. I downloaded the newest firmware, which i got with the unico software, but the error message still consist. Does somebody can help, how I can solve this problem? Thanks a lot.Best regards Basil

For this reason, we need an Eval Board that meets the requirements I will list below. I request your suggestion equipment.Thank you,Requirements; There must be a debugger for the uC on the development board.uC must have Ethernet, FlexRay, USB, SDHC, CAN, LIN, UART / SCI, and SPI communication networks.uC ISO 26262 must support at least ASIL B in terms of functional safety.32bit uCs should be preferred for system efficiency.uC should operate at a speed of at least 80 MHz.

I found this two in market help me to find out original one, also tell me to check visually that which one is original?

Is there a way to self reset other than watchdog?Without external pull-up resistanceI want to keep the GPIO high even if the MCU performs a soft reset. Is there any way?

Hello Everyone,I am working on a project in which i have to use both roles of USB_FS. I want to interface mass storage device for which i need host with MSC and i also want to send some data to PC over VCP for which I need device with VCP.I searched a lot but not found any example of USB_FS switch roles dynamically. So can you tell me how to do this or share some examples if have. One more question can I do both of these tasks using USB host only? Can I connect to PC using USB host CDC class? Thanks

Dear Experts,I ported I2S RX and TX program from F401 to F302R8 Nucleo board. And I encountered **unexpected** phenomenon. When I use I2S for receiving data (Half-duplex, Master-Receive mode, 48kHz, 24bit data on 32bit frame), it works fine. That means, CubeMx initialize I2S as I2SxPR = 0x10b, I2SxCFGR = 0Xb03 and output frequencies are I2S_CK = 3.130 MHz and I2S_WS = 48.91kHz. (==> OK)However, when I set it in Master-Transmit mode (rest are no change), CubeMx initialize I2S with the same parameter I2SxPR = 0x10b, I2SxCFGR = 0xa03 [changed as master-transmit], but OUTPUT FREQUENCIES are HALF of correct one. (I2S_CK = 1.535 MHz and I2S_WS = 23.99kHz). Master clock out is also changed from 11.99MHz to 6.143MHz.And if I use lower sampling rate such as 16kHz or 8kHz, such frequencies deviate further. (some are one-third of correct one.)I have not found any problem on F401 MCU like this. Can anyone kindly let me know how I can avoid this phenomenon. (Or does STM issued any errata on this i

I'm using sensor LIS2DH12, acceleration data I get looks OK. But I'm bit confused about temperature data.CTRL_REG4.BDU is set to 1CTRL_REG4.FS is set to 0 (= 2g scale)CTRL_REG1.LPEN is set to 0CTRL_REG4.HR is set to 0 (= 10bit normal mode)CTRL_REG1.ODR is set 0x04 (50Hz)TEMP_CFG_REG.TEMP_EN is set to 1 (enable temperature sensor)I left measuring for 10 minutes, once every second, and I get these values (99% of time):OUT_TEMP_H = 0b01111011 (7Bh = 123)OUT_TEMP_L = 0rarely I get value like 6Fh, 7Fh, 73h, 77h, 79h, 6Bh (I take those as some fluctuations).Ambient temperature is around 23C.How to interpret those values? They look too high to me.UPDATE:In normal mode (10bit) I get:OUT_TEMP_H = 0b01111011 (7Bh = 123)OUT_TEMP_L = 0In low-power mode (8bit) I get:OUT_TEMP_H = 0b01101111 (6Fh = 111)OUT_TEMP_L = 0This doesn't seem right.
