We are working on syringe volume sensing application with VL53L0X Our expected accuracy is +/- 2mmWe configured sensor in high accuracy mode with 900msec budget timeTo check stability performance of sensor over long period of time we captured 97000 sample at @ 1 sec periodicity over 27 hours period with object at fixed distance.Overall we found the sensor output is stable varying between 3 count for fixed object distance.Attached is the 97000 readings which we captured and our observation and queries. Please help us to provide answer to our queries..

Hello.I am in the process of power on my custom board. Right now I'm trying to get the USB to work but I'm stuck and don't know what to do next.I use USB midleware from CubeMX 6.1.2The moment I have everything configured and run the interrupts I get the one interrupt with flags:USB_OTG_GINTSTS_USBRST and USB_OTG_GINTSTS_USBSUSP.While handling the suspend handler my micro controller is restarting (The restart is caused by operation: __HAL_PCD_GATE_PHYCLOCK(hpcd) in usb suspend handler)I checked the voltages and waveforms of crystal lines and ulpi clk line and everything seems to be ok.Here is the USB3300 wiring diagram:ThanksPiotr

Hi,I am running into a problem where the VL53L0x will return "0" for its SignalRateRtnMegaCps value for certain range measurements. Some sensors I have it does this an overwhelming amount of the time. Some sensors I only see this periodically.I use this SignalRtn value to gauge how strong of a reading I received. The 0's happen in situations where I would certainly expect there to be a strong value for SignalRate.Does anyone knows if this "0" means anything? Or if anyone has come across this before? Thanks

Is there anybody out there who got the USB running as VCP on a STM32L552 ? We have problems to get the system running with USB attached to a PC via VCP. We used the MXCube release 5.6.1 and created a small project with USB VCP. The VDD-USB Pin is connected to 3.3V, the system boots, but USB is not detected on the PC side. We have USB as VCP working on several other processors before (STM32F4, STM32F7, STM32H7) without any issues. But on L552 there must be something different which is not working when using the same firmware handling and hardware layout. Any comments are very much appreciated.

I am trying to receive some uart input from data that is an unknown size. I should end on \r\n or on an OK or ERROR received. The issue I am having with interrupts(HAL_Receive_IT()) is obviously losing too much data. I have also tried to implement this with DMA and a buffer but could not get it working. I have looked at some of the other solutions posted as well (one by user Tesla Delorean in 2018 on streaming uart data from a different module) and another from an ST employee here: https://github.com/MaJerle/stm32-usart-uart-dma-rx-tx/blob/master/projects/usart_rx_idle_line_irq_L4/Src/main.cI do not want to use any RTOS though. Is there some really simple example of just getting the uart data and outputting it to console on another uart? Or can someone guide me on how to do this/ tell me the best/better way ? Just reading 1 byte and interrupting each time is too slow and missing too much data. Thank you.

I am working on improving the pedometer functionality on a sensortile.box device. I would like to use the regression tool provided in the Unico GUI, to use pre-recorded data patterns to configure the pedometer. The problem I ran into is, that if I load patterns into the Debug /Data Injection Tool, they are either not recognized, or the values are 0 or -2147483648 (min value of signed 32 bit int), or the program crashes instantly without error code.If I use the regression tool on my pattern folder, it does something and creates a .ucf and config file, but no matter what patterns I give the tool, the .ucf is always the same. The Patterns were tested in the MLC Tool, which accepted them and interpreted them correctly. The only reason I could think of is, that the extra motherboard is needed in order to use these tools, but I was not able to verify or disprove this assumption, so I would be thankful for an answer to that.Best Regards,K. Werner.

I am trying to explore X-CUBE-TOF1 and I have several VL53L3CX breakout boards. I'm using the latest CubeMX and IDE (6.3.0 and 1.7, respectively) and therefor downloaded both the 2.0.0 and 1.0.0 X-CUBE-TOF1 cube modules.I've selected the following software packs:The performed the following configurations: After generating the code, the directory is completely empty.Removing the software pack results in a properly generated project (but without the software packs, obviously) How can I generate starter code to use with the VL53L3CX breakout boards?

I would like to send an image of size 320x240 pixels using ZigBee mesh to the intended node from coordinator. What is the maximum range of ZigBee in mesh configuration achieved with STM32WB55 with external SMD antennaWhat is the power consumption in ZigBee mesh configuration for each node.I will have to send the image twice in a day and rest of the time all the zigbee nodes will be in sleep mode.. Is it possible to have wake on radio mechanism to keep the modules in sleep and wake up only when there is some data flow ?

I am using a LIS3DH breakout board that is exhibiting weird behavior. My I2C master is a STM32L496 board that has been tested OK with other I2C chips.StartupI2C init to 400 KHzScan all possible addresses via HAL_I2C_IsDeviceReady() loop Remember addressRead WHO_AM_I registerIf it's an LIS3DH, Write config registersIf I write 0x00 into CTRL_REG0, the next write or read is NACK'd. If I reset the MCU, the reported address from step 3 changes to 0x10. (thus the NACK)So, on power cycle, the address from step 3 is 0x30 and post-config the chip NACK's 0x30.On MCU reset, the address from step 3 is 0x10 and everything works OK. I believe writing 0x00 to CTRL_REG0 is the root cause. It seems like undocumented behavior.Anyone else see this issue?

1.I want to control a BLDC motor. Why can't I choose BLDC type in MC workbench? There are two PMSMs motor types available to pick.2.Does anyone know if the set (X-NUCLEO-IHM07M1 and NUCLEO-L476RG) would be enough to control this motor?(https://uav-en.tmotor.com/html/2018/GB_0402/34.html) We want to use quadrature encoder and torque control by FOC method. Any help would be great

I have implemented my entire application in Touchgfx and FREERTOS and using the NOR flash as the external memory device. Now, is there any way to copy the entire code stored in NOR to SDRAM and run execute from there. Just like boot loading from NOR to SDRAM for faster execution. Becuase I see some image flicker/slide effect with NOR flash and wanted to execute code from SDRAM. Is it really possible with this device ?

I am using STEVAL-SMARTAG1 and ST Link V2 (https://www.st.com/en/development-tools/st-link-v2.html)Find the connections in the image attached. Please share details related to required connections, debugger configuration etc.

My register configuration are (0x10, 0x60)( 0x16,0x70)(0x11, 0x60)(0x12,0x40)I am getting values like (0, 5, 7, 65534, 65535, 567) for the all the axis , while my sensor are in rest.

Hello, i have just upgraded the IDE and now when I am starting a debug session, the external QSPI Flash is completly ignored, there is no compare/write operation on the external flash. Before the update, everything worked fine. I have a STM32F746NG chip on an personal board, with an personal loader for the external flash. When i upgraded the IDE bevore i just had to overwrite the ST_STM32F746G_Disco_QSPI.elf file in the STM32CubeIDE\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.jlink.win32_1.5.0.202011040924\tools\bin\Devices\ST\STM32F7 directory, but in the new "Devices" directory there is no STM32F7 directory?

Hi Sir,We want to use STM32F429IGT6's internal RTC, so we connect pin 6 to backup battery, and add a 32.768K crystal to pin8 pin9, Are there any additional details I missed?

When I enable a peripheral like LTDC - the pins automatically get assigned. I would prefer to assign them manually so that I can have all related signals come out from a single side of the LQFP. How can I do this? Or is this not advised?

I've been trying to implement a clock and calendar into my solar tracker project(using an stm32f103) so that I can set at which time it should go to sleep ( and for how long) , but every time the board goes into standby the counter -unfortunately- gets reset. To counter act that, I tried writing the values of the counter register into the backup registers (which worked just fine) writing these values back to the counter registers turned out to be quite a hassle however, and it just never seemed to work for me. I did disable the write protection and enabled the CNF bit mind you, but their values just wouldn't change .

I am getting this error after I modify my linker script (which I got from a project created with CubeIde):$arm-none-eabi-objcopy -O binary Prog_test_H735.elf Prog_test_H735.bin$arm-none-eabi-size Prog_test_H735.elf  text     data      bss      dec      hex   filename 35596      188     2108    37892     9404   Prog_test_H735.elf$st-flash write Prog_test_H735.bin 0x8000000st-flash 1.7.02021-08-16T15:18:11 INFO usb.c: Unable to match requested speed 1800 kHz, using 1000 kHz2021-08-16T15:18:11 INFO common.c: H72x/H73x: 128 KiB SRAM, 1024 KiB flash in at least 128 KiB pages.file Prog_test_H735.bin md5 checksum: 73e68311fa7a2f7533a11e4b1a1ca47, stlink checksum: 0x0039488a2021-08-16T15:18:12 INFO common.c: Attempting to write 469762112

I am trying to program my flash halfword per halfword. There is no HAL library to achieve this work so I am working with registers. After erasing the specific sector that I want to write, I am trying to change the control register 1 with below code.Which is 0101 0010 in binary (You can check The CR1 register from the ref manual for further details).https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/dm00314099-stm32h742-stm32h743-753-and-stm32h750-value-line-advanced-arm-based-32-bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdfWhile debugging, I can see that FLASH->CR1 register goes 0x12 in HEX, 0001 0010 in binary. I cant set 6th bit for a reason that I can not understand. I tried to change bits one by one too. Still cant set the FW1(6th) bit. Thats what I am asking. I cant program my flash with halfword chunks. Any application code, any help will be appreciated.I can write with hal library(256 bits). I am trying to say here that there is no problem except mentioned situation above.eymen

Reference Manual for STM32H72xxx/73xxx (RM0468), section 2.6, says that the embedded bootloader can be accessed via I2C1, I2C2, I2C3, I2C4 and SPI1, SPI2, SPI3, SPI4, however AN2606 only lists I2C1, I2C2, I2C3 and SPI, SPI3 as the working I2C and SPI interfaces used.I didn't notice any discrepancy with the other interfaces. Can someone help to clarify?
