Hi,We wish to do a Boost PFC with L4986A and a  30uH inductor.Power is 2200W and Mains is 85-265VAC.When the mains is at 240VAC,  the inductor current would be discontinuous for some 80% of the mains half cycle. Is this OK?Will the L4986A be able to control it  to give a good power Factor with low THD?

I am designing a 3-phase AC to 24 V DC power supply and plan to use the VIPER26K high-voltage converter (as used in the STEVAL-VP26K02F evaluation board) as the main switch-mode controller in a flyback/isolated design. The target specifications are:Input: 3-phase AC, ~90–480 V ACOutput: 24 V DC, ~200 mAI have reviewed the STEVAL-VP26K02F datasheet and schematic. While I believe this device family is suitable for my application, I am unable to simulate the design in LTspice due to the following issues:The available OrCAD/PSPICE models from ST are not directly usable in LTspice.I cannot successfully import or convert the existing model due to signing/encryption and compatibility issues. The product page only lists PSPICE and SIMPLIS models, and I haven't found an LTspice-ready model for the VIPER26K.My questions are:Does ST offer a native LTspice (or compatible SPICE) model for the VIPER26K (e.g., VIPER267KDTR) that I can use for simulation? If a direct LTspice model is unavailable, is the

Hello,I am a graduate student working on power electronics research.I am using STDRIVEG600 in my experiments and simulations.I would like to ask if any simulation model is available for STDRIVEG600.If available, please advise how I can obtain it.Thank you for your support.Best regardslanrain

Hello everyone, I find your new product, the ST87M01-1301, an interesting alternative to Nordic or Simcom. However, I haven't found any hardware design guides for the module yet. Could you please provide some? A schematic would be really helpful, showing how to wire the pins and connect the SIM card, antennas, etc. What is the maximum current draw of the module? If you have any battery management products, how can they be used together (for example: BMS + STM-Host MCU + ST87M01 – an example schematic would be great) so that people can use your specifications as a guide and build their own prototypes with your modules. I really like how Simcom handles their documentation; you could certainly learn from their example. Currently, your documentation for the module is a bit chaotic and incomplete, as if it were done by an intern. Many greetings,Andreas

Both the BoM and Schematic (in the Data Brief) do not show the part numbers or values for L2 and L4 on the STEVAL-STPM801 ORing circuit.  Which inductors are used on the reference design?   Thank you.

Hello, I have a custom board with a STM32WB55CEU6 and I am trying to programm it through a Nucleo STLink with SWD. The onboard Nucleo CPU is detected and works fine if I add the jumpers, and I can program a different STM32 board with the jumpers removed as well, so the STLink is functional. It fails when trying to connect to the STM32 saying it's unable to detect the Device ID, so no SWD communication happens at all. I have connected SWCLK, SWIO, NRST and GND and checked the polarity multiple times. I also checked with a multimeter, and there is connectivity between the pins. I used a 10cm Dupont Jumper and the traces on the board are around 3cm long. Boot0 is tied to GND. Supply voltage is a clean 3V3 and I am using the internal SMPS, where VDDSMPS is at 0.97V if I plug it in. So I think the STM32 is powered and operational, just not able to connect. I don't really know what else could be going wrong on the board, so I came here to ask for help.

When connecting to a charging port with a USB-C to USB-A cable, the device repeatedly switches between charging and not charging. If the STUSB4500 is supposed to support non-PD sources, how should I configure it to ensure stable charging in this scenario? Thanks!

Dear all, I have a custom PCB with the STM32WBA5MMG module. I missed the keepout requirement in the reference design and pads 2 - 5 and pads 56 / 59. These pads are connected to GND in my design. I did some signal tests, and I have a feeling the antenna is not performing well (I configured +10dbm). Can somebody confirm these pads connected to ground influence the antenna performance? Below is a snippet of the PCB design:   Thanks, Robin

Hello,I successfully used linuxptp with stm32mp257f-dk board, but now need to do the same with stm32mp157f-dk2. linuxptp was built from the same latest sources for both boards using corresponding SDK for each board. But when ptp4l is running on stm32mp157f-dk2, debug output shows that required clock adjustments are not being applied to raw ptp clock: I tried to rebuild uImage and modules for stm32mp157f-dk2 using latest sources from v.25.08.27, but result was still the same. Hi,Is underline of text supported by TGFX or will that be part of the ttf-files in Typographies? The goal is a text like this: "Press SETTINGS now."

Hello.   I'm having a problem with an STM32H503. I need to use the RTC, which is running on the internal 32kHz LSI clock. The clock configuration was created with CubeMX.   When I check the RTC, I see that it has only advanced by 21 seconds in 60 seconds. That's a deviation of 285%. The processor is running on the HSI clock, which is divided by 2, so 32MHz. Does anyone know why the RTC is running 3 times too slow?   Init of the RCC: RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI | RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_LSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIDiv = RCC_HSI_DIV2; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT; RCC_OscInitStruct.LSIState = RCC_LSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_NONE; // RCC_PLL_OFF; if (HAL_RCC_OscConfig(&RCC_OscInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB buses clocks */ RCC_ClkInitStruct.ClockType = RCC_CLOCKTYPE_HCLK | RCC_CLO

Hello ,I want to Access QSPI drivers in STM32H7A3VIH6. However in Cubemx there is only option of OCTOSPI1 and OCTASPI. My question is there way to use QSPI api directly like HAL_QSPI_Init instead of OSPi init?Or we have use OSPI only?Secondly i am using 2 external flash to be used in each QUAD SPI.

Same issue reported in 2020: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32g473-fdcan-pinout-contradicting/td-p/224770.As of DS12712 Rev 5, Table 13 Alternate Functions has PB10 and PB11 mis-labeled as FDCAN3_RX and FDCAN3_TX respectively.Under AF11, PB10 and PB11 are not available as FDCAN3_RX and FDCAN3_TX.

Our own non-secure application is based on "SMAK_Appli" in the STM32TRUSTEE-SM example and in principle, it works, but debugging is giving me issues. This is with STM32CubeIDE latest version and all tools software and firmware updated to their latest versions, too.Issue 1: Using STLINK-V3 to start debugging, whenever there has been a code change, the first attempt results in a verification error (see log below) and the second attempt then works. This is 100% consistent and terribly annoying since starting the non-secure debugging session is very slow to begin with.Issue 2: Using J-Link to start debugging, it claims flash was programmed (very fast) and debugging seems to work at first, but I found that flash programming was not effective. The flash content is always what it was programmed with using STLINK. So if I want to use J-Link, I have to program with STLINK (twice), then switch to J-Link but I cannot successfully program changed flash content with J-Link.Are these issues know and

This had me stumped for a while - Thought I was going blind for a second LOL.PCLK1 and PCLK2 identifiers are missing from the clock tree diagram for the STM32H723.(They are present in the trees for F103, G431, F446 and F723).

I have eval kit EVALSTPM33 from Digikey. When I plug it into my PC USB port, I see a red LED near the USB port, and in the Windows device manager it shows up as com port #6. If I connect to that com port and try to read a register in software from https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stpm001.html, I get an error. After 10 seconds or so the red LED goes out. I do not have anything connected besides the USB port.

Hello ST community,I am working on an application on STM32N6570-DK using the camera to detect humans with an AI model (X-CUBE-AI + NPU) and draw bounding boxes on the LCD using LTDC.I am facing a display corruption / glitch issue that only appears under very specific conditions, and I strongly suspect an AXI / interconnect / NPU side effect, possibly related to an undocumented reset or QoS state.Project architecture:Camera -> DCMIPP -> PIPE1 -> BUFFER1 -> LTDC_L1                                 -> PIPE2 -> BUFFER2 -> NPU -> Config ROI of DCMIPPMemory placement:LTDC framebuffer: AXIRAM2AI input/output buffers: AXIRAM5No buffer sharing between LTDC and AIProblem description:When MX_X_CUBE_AI_Process() is commented, the camera preview is perfectly stable on the LCD.When MX_X_CUBE_AI_Process() is enabled, continuous display glitches appear (tearing / corrupted lines). The issue happe

Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a project using STM32Cube.AI with the STM32F746NGHx board. I've encountered an issue where the bsp_ai.h file is not generated after code generation. I'm using an ONNX model for this project. I've tried reinstalling STM32CubeMX several times, but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!error: '../X-CUBE-AI/App/ai_device_adaptor.h:384:10: fatal error: bsp_ai.h: No such file or directory' Thank you!

In the FD_CAN register, there is a CEL[7:0]:, REC[6:0]: and TEC[7:0]:,The CEL register is not being reset on read and goes into the Bus-Off mode.Do I need to also reset the REC and TEC register?I am currently using the HAL_GetErrorCounter() function to read the register.

Hi,I wrote my own source file. It is located in the Core/Src directory. I have also entered it accordingly in cmakelists.txt.my cmakelists.txtNow I get an error saying that the include files from the Drivers directory are missing. If I remove my entry, I no longer get the error. But then I can't use my customs. Is there a sample cmakelists.txt that includes customs?Thank you,Funnypinky

Hello,I have STM32F7 controller, using Free RTOS, trying to interface external NOR flash, S29GL128S10TFIV13.So at first, I was trying to do normal read/write operation, but here what I observed,void FMC_Init() { hnor2.Instance = FMC_NORSRAM_DEVICE; hnor2.Extended = FMC_NORSRAM_EXTENDED_DEVICE; /* hnor2.Init */ hnor2.Init.NSBank = FMC_NORSRAM_BANK2; hnor2.Init.DataAddressMux = FMC_DATA_ADDRESS_MUX_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.MemoryType = FMC_MEMORY_TYPE_NOR; hnor2.Init.MemoryDataWidth = FMC_NORSRAM_MEM_BUS_WIDTH_16; hnor2.Init.BurstAccessMode = FMC_BURST_ACCESS_MODE_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.WaitSignalPolarity = FMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_POLARITY_LOW; hnor2.Init.WaitSignalActive = FMC_WAIT_TIMING_BEFORE_WS; hnor2.Init.WriteOperation = FMC_WRITE_OPERATION_ENABLE; hnor2.Init.WaitSignal = FMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.ExtendedMode = FMC_EXTENDED_MODE_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.AsynchronousWait = FMC_ASYNCHRONOUS_WAIT_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.WriteBurst = FMC_WRITE_BURST_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.Continuo

I have a dual core application running on an STM32H7 where I would like: the CM7 to tell the CM4 to enter stop modehave the CM4 enter stop modeat a later time, have the CM7 wake the CM4 from said stop modeIn the CM4 code, I'm doing this: HAL_PWREx_ClearPendingEvent(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFE, PWR_D2_DOMAIN);The problem is that HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOPMode is immediately exiting. I use the HSEM library for synchronizing all communication between the CM7 and CM4. I thought that maybe I had a case where the CM7 was notifying the CM4 via the HSEM library when I didn't want it to, causing it to wake. So as a test, I added an infinite loopwhile (1);after notifying the CM4 so that the CM7 wouldn't execute anything else. I know that debugging can/will wake the core. To confirm that the CM4 was getting the notification and calling the above HAL_PWREx code, I turn on an LED, delay for 5 seconds, then make the calls. After the enter function returns,

I was previously using version 5.0.2, where I could enable the 'Multi-library' option in the Deployment step (Step 5). After updating to v5.1.0, I can no longer find this checkbox. Since I need to deploy two separate libraries in my project, what is the recommended workflow now?
