Hi all,I'm doing some research about STLs. What is different between STM's X-CUBE-STL offering and ARM STL Libraries ? Why would you use one over another ?Thank you, best regards

Hi all,i'd like to know the typical resource requirements (mainly required computing power / DMIPS value) of running the TouchLessControl library (STSW-035) library on a host MCU. The GestureEVK-UM.pf mentions a typical RAM and FLASH footprint :I know that the library is also availble for Cortex-M0...But I can not find maximum usage of (D)MIPS, required to run the STSW-035 SW stack.Even if its may hard to give an exact value due to mapping of DMIPS to real world algorithms -  There are interrupts, DMA, peripherals, RTOS, .... - an indicative DMIPS range would be quite helpful.

Dear Sir.I migrated the code of TSV_BasicAcquisition_Interrupt to my board .The IO rae different than the exampleExample Custom Board,PC7 PB6PC6 PB5PB13 PB12PB14 PB13I keep getting HAL_TSC_ErrorCallback,How can I tell the source of the HAL_TSC_ErrorCallback .I ist possible to calculate the capacitance of the TKEY ?. Please Advise.

Hi,FDCAN is not available.I am using STM32G474RE.I want to set the baud rate to 1MBps in classic mode.  I often stumble on if (HAL_FDCAN_Start(&hfdcan1) != HAL_OK){ Error_Handler();}.I don't know what causes it to fail.I think having a bad setup.Thanks.

Hey!I am having trouble with my ADC readings on my STM32G071RB.I am currently using 2 ACD-s for testing. VREF is set to 2.048 V. On 1 ADC, I give the input of 1.65 V directly from an external PSU. On the other ADC, I use the boards 3.3 V and run it through a voltage divider to also get 1.65 V.When I measure the voltage with a multimeter, the voltage on both cables going into the MCU is about 1.65 V . The result from the ADC that measures input from the PSU gives me a reading in the range of ~3360 which calculates to about 1.68 V. But the result from the ADC that measures the input from the voltage divider gives me a reading of about ~2890 which calculates to about 1.45 V.Where could this difference come from if the actual voltage going to the ADC pin is the same? Tried swapping the ADCs, calibration on/off but the result is the same.

CubeMX (version 6.6.1 and others) generates this code. /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_USART3_UART_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_UART4_Init(); MX_UART5_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_USART6_UART_Init(); MX_USART2_UART_Init();The purpose of MX_DMA_Init() appears to be to configure the clocks for the required DMA peripherals. I don't see this being done anywhere else.If DMA is being used for the UARTs, the MX_UART*_Init() functions call HAL_UART_Init() which calls HAL_UART_MspInit() which calls HAL_DMA_Init() which attempts to write to registers of the DMA peripheral(s).Unfortunately, in the case of USART3, UART4, UART5 and USART1 in the example above, the clock for the DMA peripheral has not been enabled at this point and so the writes to registers of the DMA peripheral fail. The UART then does not operate as intended. The workaround seems to be to explicitly call MX_DMA_Init() before this sequence. /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ &nbs

Hi, I was testing the different levels of read protection and when I activated RDP 2, I lost full access to my board. I would like to know if there is any way to regain access (do a downgrade), despite losing all the content I had installed, something like a hard reset, ...

New to STM32. I've ordered a NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q development board and have been playing with CubeMX in preparation for board arrival. In creating a project for the board I'm starting the project using the board selector and selecting the NUCLEO-U575ZI-Q. I select the option to initialize all the peripherals in default mode and the project initializes. But there are yellow flags all over the place indicating conflicts on the pins.Is this expected behavior?Specific examples (not comprehensive):RCC - partly disabled conflict with: USART1 Mode AsynchonousTSC - partly disabled conflict with: PB14 PB5 PC7 PB7DEBUG - partly disabled conflict with: UCPD1 UCPD Mode SinkFirst, it's not clear what there messages really mean. Not sure if it's a "real" conflict or a "potential" conflict. If it's "real", why would ST ship a template with all these conflicts? How do I resolve them?I've attached the project in case that's of any help in understanding the issue. Thanks in advance for any help.Shawn

The description of the ST25R3916 states "Special stream and transparent modes of the AFE and framing system can be used to implement other custom protocols in reader or card emulation mode." - this makes it sound like it should be possible to implement custom protocols using the stream mode for card emulation.Unfortunately looking at the datasheet the mode definition register operating modes table only lists stream mode options when the chip is configured as an initiator, there are no stream modes listed when in passive target mode.Is there a way to leverage stream mode when in card emulation mode, or is transparent mode the only option here (which would seem odd as other posts on the community from ST made it sound like stream mode is preferred over transparent and that transparent mode really only exits for internal testing)?

Hi. I am interested in using the STEVAL-IPMM10B evaluation board to drive a BLDC motor with the voltage rating of 50 V. The evaluation board user manual says, it works for 125-400 VDC. Is there any way I can use this board for lower voltages? Thanks.

Trying to have multiple ST-Link connected at one time. Not working like I hoped.Anyone got it working? (Multiple projects each with own STLink, all connected at same time)Using STM32CubeIDE v1.6.1---- My results ----I try to set each project to a specific STLink Serial Number (I have 5 modules interconnected, and that list is growing), using: Project > Right Click > Debug As > Debug Cofigurations... > Tab:Debugger[+]ST-Link S/N > Scan > Select the correct one > Apply > CloseIt works with one, but gets confused when I have more than oneI've written the serial number on each device by connecting one at a time and scanning for changes.I've noticed that the first serial number listed seems to be incorrect, as it is often for an STLink I've disconnected. ****This may be a bug****---- Suggestion ----ST-Link serial numbers should be:Shown on the Virtual disk that opens when you connect the USB to the STLink (maybe in Details.txt)Printed on the label (STLink/V3, STLink/M

Hello,I'm discovering the different widgets of Touch GFX. I stumbled upon a problem I do not know how to solve and I haven't found the answer on the internet.I'm working with the board Riverdi_101STM32H7 (chosen in the list of available boards). When I create a text area (or a button with text, text progress, digital clock), I encounter this problem when I generate the code.Generate Code Generate Done Generate Assets make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8 Reading ./application.config ERROR: Attribute 'Direction' not specified in line 8 for <Text Id="__SingleUse_FCFO"> An error occurred during text convertion Cleaning generated files from generated/texts and generated/fonts. generated/simulator/gcc/Makefile:225: recipe for target 'texts' failed make[1]: *** [texts] Error 1 simulator/gcc/Makefile:32: recipe for target 'assets' failed make: *** [assets] Error 2 Failed FailedI checked the direction of the typography is LTR so it is specified in there at least. Wh

Hello, is it possible to add for example a line on the canvas at run time? I'm managing to do a log x scale providing the decades separators with a Line object, but my plot could have more than one decade, so i think is a terrible idea to add many lines as i want, and then making each one visible as it is required. So a tried to add lines at run time but i couldn't manange to do it. I didnt expected to work because it's probable that im jumping many layers of TouchGFX.This part of code was written from me in Screen1View.cpp - void Screen1View::DataDisplay(): touchgfx::Line line4; touchgfx::PainterRGB565 line4Painter; line4.setPosition(204, 0, 23, 240); line4Painter.setColor(touchgfx::Color::getColorFromRGB(255, 255, 255)); line4.setPainter(line4Painter); line4.setStart(0, 240); line4.setEnd(0, 0); line4.setLineWidth(4); line4.setLineEndingStyle(touchgfx::Line::ROUND_CAP_ENDING); add(line4);Thank you very much.

I found the following bug:STM32CubeMX generates the following initialization code: /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DCMI_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_I2C2_Init(); MX_UART5_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init();The problem is that MX_DCMI_Init() is also initializing the corresponding DMA. But the DMA clock is not enabled yet! It will be enabled by MX_DMA_Init().The result is that the DMA for the DCMI is not correctly initialized and the code does not work.When I enable the clock just before the initialization it works: /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */   __HAL_RCC_DMA2_CLK_ENABLE();   /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_DCMI_Init(); MX_I2C1_Init(); MX_I2C2_Init(); MX_UART5_Init(); MX_USART1_UART_Init(); MX_DMA_Init(); MX_USB_DEVICE_Init();

Hi,I'm using CubeIDE: V1.10.1 (CubeMX v6.6.1).To configure my project in (internal) CubeMX, I have created a "user constant":Name: USER_01Value: 7In FreeFRTOS Config parameters -> LIBRARY_MAX_SYSCALL_INTERRUPT_PRIORITY,I have entered this "USER_01" When I save the IOC and generate code, everything is still fine. Then I close the IOC File. When I try to re-open the IOC, there is an error message "Not a valid ioc file".And CubeMX can not edit this IOC any more - it is "broken".---When I edit the IOC file manually with text editor and change one single linefrom"FREERTOS.configLIBRARY_MAX_SYSCALL_INTERRUPT_PRIORITY=USER_01"to"FREERTOS.configLIBRARY_MAX_SYSCALL_INTERRUPT_PRIORITY=7"CubeMX can re-open the IOC file again.---Am I doing something wrong, or is this a CubeMX issue?Best regards, Andy

I have read that ST will be releasing code to show how to do gesture recognition on the VL53L5CX, when is this due to be released?

I'm using a STM32H743.I used STM32CubeMx to configure the DCMI. It uses DMA to transfer to memory. When calling HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(), the DCMI_DMAError() function is called.I found out that there is a transfer error. And according the documentation a bus error is the reason. But the CFSR register of the MCU is zero, indicating no bus error. What could be wrong?Things I did:use STM32CubeMX to set up DCMI and enable DMADisabled cachingcreated a buffer in SRAM1 using__attribute__ ((section(".buffer"), used)) uint32_t bigbuf[30000];checked that it is present in region RAM_D2called HAL_DCMI_Start_DMA(&hdcmi, DCMI_MODE_CONTINUOUS, (uint32_t)bigbuf, ((752*480)/4)/4);HAL_OK is returnedsensor is 752*480, I use 8 bit DCMI (thus 4 in a word) and I use half the number of pixels and half the number of lineschecked with oscilloscope that DCMI is working (clock, sync and data signals present)Any idea why I can get this transfer error?

According to api Manuals, for VL53L0CX and VL53L1CX, Offset calibration should be performed before Crosstalk calibration, but for newer ToF sensors, such as VL53L3CX or VL53L1CB, it's said Crosstalk calibration should take place before Offset calibration. Are alll these guides correct? Or order guide in earlier api manuals should be revised to be consistent with newer products?

I'm trying to program STM32F103C8T6 using CUBEIDE. After solving so many errors now I have this error " failed to start GDB server" tried different PORT NUMBERS and also changed debug prob from " OPEN OCD" to "GDB SERVER" but could not help.

WIth the STVD software in Debug mode and connected to the STM8 MCU via the ST-LINK/V2, is there a STVD feature that displays register content? Thank you!

Hi guys, i am at a complete loss; even with describing the problem.I have a 6-layer board with the USB3300 directly underneath the H750(100Pin LQFP), so traces are short and basically optimal. I use CubeMX to generate an example -> I use MCO2 as 24MHz source for the USB3300, eveything in the H750 is working at 96MHz. The clocks are derived from PLL fed by HSE.After enabling MCO2 i wait for several milliseconds in order to let the PLL of the USB3300 stabilize and generate the 60MHz ULPI clock.the Reset-pin of the USB3300 is low.My main problem (initially) was, that the USB-Lines are not becoming active after a call to USB_DevConnect - i would have expected to see the PullUp on the D+ line (using Fullspeed as a start). Now, everthing with the USB3300 seems touchy as hell. Cant put words to it...Within the USB_CoreInit function there is a call to USB_CoreReset. Sometimes this locks up the USB3300 completely (the 60MHz clock stops) and sometimes it works. Sometimes if I call USB_CoreRese
