Hi everyone, I’m facing an issue with power consumption on my custom PCB that uses the Wio-E5-LE module. According to the datasheet, the module should consume around 2.1 µA in sleep mode, but my board is drawing around 88 µA instead. I’ve double-checked everything and can’t find any other source of leakage. What i have already checked,Disabled all unused peripheralsConfigured all GPIOs properlyVerified there are no shorts or solder bridges on the PCBMeasured current draw of other components — none show any noticeable leakage
Hello,We have an issue with the B-WL5M-SUBG1 evaluation board: The idle current consumption is higher than expected: 89 uA (vs. expected: 1-2 uA) after joining (OTAA) successfully.Board: B-WL5M-SUBG1Firmware: STM32CubeWL/Projects/B-WL5M-SUBG1/Applications/LoRaWAN/LoRaWAN_AT_Slave and STM32CubeWL/Projects/B-WL5M-SUBG1/Applications/LoRaWAN/LoRaWAN_End_NodeFirmware version: STM32CubeWL V1.3.0 (latest from https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWL)Power supply: 5 V via USB-C adapter boardCurrent measurement: STM32WL5MOC, not including sensors, measured at IDD jumper (JP2) using JoulescopeDo you have an idea what could be the issue? Thanks!
I'm experiencing an issue when attempting to debug a project in STM32CubeIDE v1.19.0 using a NUCLEO-H753ZI board and ST-LINK V3 (FW: V3J16M9). The debugger appears to hang during the early initialization phase and fails to proceed with device enumeration commands.BehaviorWhen I launch a debug session, the IDE displays:Launching: Performing pre-launch check... It remains stuck at this message indefinitely. The only way to cancel is to terminate the stlinkserver.exe process manually using Task Manager. Once the server is killed, the IDE regains control and exits the debug attempt. To investigate further, I manually started stlinkserver.exe using: stlinkserver.exe -a -p 7184 -d 5The server successfully detects the ST-LINK device: STLK: Add to stlink USB list: VID 0x0483, PID 0x3754, serial [REDACTED_SN] ... TCPCMD REFRESH_DEVICE_LIST : return 1However, no subsequent commands are issued — GET_NB_DEV, GET_DEV_INFO, and OPEN_DEV are all missing. The server enters an idle
I don't use the code-generation features of the STM32CubeMX, but rather use it just for pin-planning purposes when designing hardware. I've noticed that when enabling the Ethernet MAC, that the SMI / MIIM peripheral is automatically enabled and allocated pins. There are many cases where this is inappropriate (e.g., some other device is managing the interface, no management is possible, or another bus type is used) and it would be lovely for STM32CubeMX to treat these two things as the fully-unrelated peripherals that they really are.The workaround is to manually assign each Ethernet pin individually, but this is brutally unpleasant. Could ST please divorce these two peripherals within the STM32CubeMX software?
I have been developing code between TouchGFX 4.25.0 Designer and STM32Cube IDE 1.12.1, with the STM32H750DB-DK development kit.I initially generated the code firstly using TouchGFX, created from the Blank UI using the STM32H750B-DK board setup. I have been successfully been able to create an interface with TouchGFX and then develop the functions within STM32Cube IDE. I have been debugging successfully within the STM32Cube IDE and have created a nice GUI so far. However, using the generated IOC, that was created using TouchGFX. If I generate the code from the IOC, with minimal changes such as adding TIMER7, it causes the LCD to go to a white screen. After I generate the code from the IOC, I regenerate the code on the TouchGFX.I require to edit the IOC as I need to add a Timer to control the backlight brightness, but I can't seem to get that far due to generating the IOC causing the white LCD screen problem. I have had to revert my code back at every attempt, to prevent the pro
Hi,I am working on some screen transitions. I need to make my "page" transitions move and fade in/out together in the process.Below are the issues I found=========================For screen tranisition=========================I can start the screen fade animation on its own.But if I start the screen transition together, this fade animation is not working for some reason.==========================For container mix-in animation==========================I can start both fade/move animation together with the container. But this way all my "pages" would need to be inside a "custom container" and I will only have 1 "screen"All my hw key event will be jammed inside my MainScreenView, and introduce a mess in code structure. Both of the methods require me to start fade animation MANUALLY for each object in the "page" which is very inconvenient. But I can't find a way to do it with a for loop using the forEachChild() function.Since the function gets a "Drawable" object, instead of "
I noticed that the V 2.20 STM32CubeProgrammer erase function doesn't work under Pop_OS!, a Linux distribution. It does however work on Windows 10. I don't think this is a logic failure within the STM32CubeProgrammer but some weird interaction with the USB Driver. Just to be clear I am using STLink on a STM32N6 evaluation board. Interesting that this function does work on a STM32h747i_disco board. Another difference is I am using an USB A to USB C cable, but all the other functions work, after erase on the Windows machine. I have the erase under Windows workaround but it is a little inconvenient.
I encountered a significant problem with the live expressions during debugging, as the variables displayed erratic values and symbols when they were set as unsigned. I spent several days trying to verify this, as I previously had doubts about my code's execution. At times, the values may be exchanged or moved unexpectedly (the output of the first variable appears in the second variable's output, and consequently, all other values are displaced). Please prioritize this matter. In our organization, many individuals are encountering this problem and are considering transitioning to VS Code.
After setting the heap size to 16 GB in the stm32cubeide.ini before finally not getting "out if memory" errors, opening the "Pinout Compatible" Dialog from an existing project consumes a little over 10 GB !I found another thread where this was apparently fixed in CubeMX in 2022 (CubeIDE 1.9.0 has a heart attack on "loading compa... - STMicroelectronics Community), it seems to be back.
Hello dear ST forum.I need again you precious help.I am working on a data acquisition device, and need to get 14bit data from a parallel ADC connected on DCMI pins,at 48MHz, and move it to a 32MB SDRAM (W9825G6KH-6I) till almost full. The MCU is STM32H743IIT6.After reading, and reading, I did understand that the only available way, is to use MDMA linked list. Create 255 nodes and transfer the 16 bit data to the SDRAM. Can someone point me the right direction?
Hey all,I'm trying to get embedded Lua (https://eluaproject.net/) running on an STM32C0 MCU. The implementation has a Write Once Filesystem that uses flash and can be appended to but not modified. The issue is that the WOFS relies on being able to write bits in flash as 0xFF or 1s with the expectation that it will be able to write over them later to set them to 0s (obviously not vice versa) For instance an 8 byte (smallest size supported by this flash?) write to address A with data FF FF FF FF 01 23 45 67, then later another write to address A with data AA FF FF FF 01 23 45 67. I think this is used to set flags on old files, like "deleted", and also to deal with the fact that the FS is designed around 4 byte, not 8 byte alignment. This seems like it would be possible from a hardware perspective but HAL_FLASH_Program errors when I try it, is this something that is possible? Thank you!
M95256-DRDW8TP is in use.Other RoHs DoC, CoC, or TestReport is required because the customer does not recognize msds' declaration as a RoH declaration in the document on hazardous substance registration. Please make a request. The quantity of parts required is small, so we cannot respond by purchasing them from Mouser..
Hello Team,We have selected part no: LDK220 and LDK320 with a SOT-89 footprint for one of our applications. We have referred to the complete datasheet, but we have not found the test results for 5V output category devices, like the voltage dropout of 5V 100mA with all operating temperature ranges. Can you please provide the document or suggest any section where this kind of test results are available for reference? Awaiting your reference!ThanksJayjit Y
Hello ST Community,I’m currently working with the STM32H750B-DK development board and I’m facing an issue with UART communication through external pins.My goal is to communicate between the STM32H750B-DK and another external controller using UART (not via the Virtual COM Port over USB).Here’s what I have done so far:I have configured USART3 (TX = PB10, RX = PB11) in STM32CubeMX for asynchronous communication.I also tried USART2 (TX = PD5, RX = PD6), which are available on the STMod+ connector. The code builds and runs successfully.I can transmit data successfully via VCP (USB) and see it on the PC serial monitor. However, when I connect a TTL-to-USB converter or logic analyzer to PB10/PB11 or PD5/PD6, I do not see any UART activity.I have verified the pin configuration in CubeMX and ensured no alternate functions are conflicting. It seems like the USART2/USART3 pins might not be physically routed to the external connectors on the STM32H750B-DK board, or they may be multiplexed with other
Hello,I am working on an STM32MP257F platform using the STM32MPU OpenSTLinux Distribution (V25), together with the latest STM32CubeMX code-generation flow for the STM32MP257F-DK board.I am using the STM32MPU-OSTL-DEV-helper to build the full BSP (Kernel + U-Boot + OP-TEE).The Linux DTS and U-Boot DTS build correctly. However, the OP-TEE Device Tree compilation fails with the following error:Error: stm32mp257f-mydts-mx-rif.dtsi:63.116-117 syntax errorFATAL ERROR: Unable to parse input tree To investigate, I inspected the CubeMX-generated OP-TEE RIF file:STM32MPU-OSTL-DEV-helper/DEVICETREE/myDTS/optee/stm32mp257f-mydts-mx-rif.dtsiUsing:nl -ba stm32mp257f-mydts-mx-rif.dtsi | sed -n '60,130p'The file appears syntactically correct. Hello I am working on Customized board developed using STM32H755ZIT6 microcontroller. I have initialized UART first and it was working fine. Than In the same project I initialized SPI and tested back the UART and now uart is not working I used different pin configuration and Different DMA setting for both but still same problem is there UART is not working. But this code works fine on the NUCLEO H755ZIT6 board
I have the STM32H747I-DISCO, and am interested in connecting a larger touch display. What possibilities are there? What limit is there on display resolution? Could a 2560 x 1600 display be used for example (I do not need video. I just need larger physical format, higher resolution, and low frequency update in real time)? Where are the critical choke points on display resolution (apart from the obvious video memory)? MB1166? Elsewhere? What about connectors? Firstly there is CN1 a 60 pin connector on the back of the LCD daughterboard MB1166 which plugs into CN15 on the main DISCO board - is this a standard MIPI connector or arbitrary to this device? Are there independently produced displays with a compatible connector? The LCD itself is connected, as far as I can see, by two flex cables, a 12 pin flex connector CN2 from the display and a 6 pin flex connector CN3 from the touch screen. Could CN2 and CN3 be potentially used by an alternate larger display in place of the ex
Hi everyone,I am having trouble with the Teoseo VIC3DA GNSS module:My project is using the Teoseo VIC3DA to obtain information about GPS, gyroscope, and accelerometer, but in the default mode, I cannot see any data from the gyroscope or accelerometer. Therefore, I have tried sending the following commands:Tried to read Gyro data$PSTMDRSENMSG,31*<checksum>$PSTMDRSENMSG,30*<checksum>I even tried enabling/disabling the PSTMDRGPS message according to table CDB-ID 228 - NMEA message List 0 with the following commands:$PSTMSETPAR,1228,800000,1 (enable message PSTMDRGPS in current config)$PSTMSETPAR,1228,800000,2 (disable message PSTMDRGPS in current config)=> The Teoseo VIC3DA still does not change (I have also tried enabling/disabling other messages according to table CDB-ID 228).Only the $PSTMGETSWVER command receives a corresponding response.Additionally, I would like to provide you with the log from the GNSS module starting from the moment the Reset was triggered at attach
Hello,I have an STM32F777 with FreeRTOS and TouchGFX. An ST7789V2 display is controlled via SPI with a partial framebuffer. After a certain time the TouchGFX task gets stuck in the function “getBlockForTransfer(Rect& rect)” in the line “assert(state[sendingBlock] == DRAWN);”(File: FrameBufferAllocator.hpp).Has anyone ever had something like this? How can I isolate the error why this happens? The screenshot shows the point where the task hangs.

Hi,I'm trying to move towards developing in VSCode to not rely on VMs for the IDE. While code generation via CubeMX and flashing the device works as expected, I'm having issues trying to use the debugger on my STM32H747 DISCO board. When using the latest (v3.6.4) It kept prompting command not found error.Downgrading it to v2.1.1 seems to fix the issue and the debugger manages to run. However, it seems to always timed out waiting for the other core (CM4) to enters in stop mode. p.s. I am trying to debug the CM7 at the moment. Is there something that needs to be done on the STLink server or .ioc file to make the debugger works? Any help will be be much appreciated
I've been looking at the STEVAL-ISD01KCB, and I saw in an image that it has some capacitors between pins 8 (-DC) and 9 (+DC). What is the value of that capacitor? Is it necessary to include it? I ask because I've noticed that this capacitor slightly reduces the distance between the -DC and +DC pins.
Hi,I am facing a strange reset-related issue on my STM32WLE LoRa boards involving the SUBGHZ radio and the RF switch. My application sometimes needs to trigger an NVIC_SystemReset() or I reset the board through the NRST pin. However, a reliable reset only occurs when the SUBGHZ radio is explicitly placed into Standby mode and both TX and RX lines of the external RF switch are turned off before the reset. Here is what I observe:Working sequencePut SUBGHZ radio into Standby modeDisable the RF switch (TX = OFF, RX = OFF)Call NVIC_SystemReset()→ After reset, execution always starts correctly at flash address 0x08000000 (line 0 of my application).Non-working sequenceCall NVIC_SystemReset() while the SUBGHZ radio or RF switch is still active→ The system reset seems to occur only partially:• the CPU resets (peripheral turns visibly off), but• execution does not jump to the reset vector at 0x08000000 For the NRST-Pin. According to the reference manual, this pin needs to be pulled down for at
Hi,The memory address of the AH1B is being referenced on the memory block as 0x4000 0000 (page 67) but further in the documentation it is referenced as 0x4002 0000 (page 69) Please open an internal ticket for doublecheking and possible fix on the nex Rev. Best,Alessandro
Hello,I am in the process of designing a product which is based on the STM32-H753 and requires P/SRAM.However, I'm concerned the H753 might not support on PSRAM with QSPI, I need the PSRAM for write/read.I haven't found any application notes or examples from ST showing connection QSPI PSRAM into the STM32 only for FMC or OCTOSPI Flash.Has anyone successfully used QSPI PSRAM with STM32H7 ?Are the specific requirements or limitation I should be aware of ?(attached reference images for context):
