Hello everyone, I am using an internal RTC on STM32L431. After running for 23:59:59 seconds, the time changes to 24:00:00 instead of 00:00:00, and the week day has not been incremented. Why is this?
Hi Support team, I am working on STM32H563 Nucleo project and trying to integrate internal temperature sensor. I enabled internal temperature sensor channel available at ADC1, but getting crash while executing below conversion code: TS_CAL1 = *TS_CAL1_ADDR; PFA project for reference. Please help in resolving the issue. Thanks.
Hello,Does the ST67W611M1 allow the WiFi and BLE subsystems to be independently powered up/down?Often, true ultra low power BLE operation is not possible in combined WiFi/BLE devices as one radio subsystem common to both WiFi and BLE is used.I have an application that the ST67W611M1 might be suited for, but ultra low power BLE advertising is mandatory. Thanks,Matthew
Hi,I'm using OCTOSPI in Mode Quad SPI on a STM32H563ZIT6. I'm having issues when reading Serial Flash data with a 1-1-4 (6Bh) read, 1-1-4 (32h) write is working fine. Also 1-1-1 read and 1-1-2 read also work fine. The serial flash is IS25LP032D. I have verified QE=1 and DummyCycles = 8 before issuing the read command. The 1-1-4 read has more problems if data is FF FF FF versus 01 02 03. 1-1-1 and 1-1-2 reads have no problem. Here is the config (Cube MX) and 1-1-4 read function. I have the SPI bus running at 1MHz hospi1.Instance = OCTOSPI1; hospi1.Init.FifoThresholdByte = 1; hospi1.Init.MemoryMode = HAL_XSPI_SINGLE_MEM; hospi1.Init.MemoryType = HAL_XSPI_MEMTYPE_MICRON; hospi1.Init.MemorySize = HAL_XSPI_SIZE_64MB; hospi1.Init.ChipSelectHighTimeCycle = 1; hospi1.Init.FreeRunningClock = HAL_XSPI_FREERUNCLK_DISABLE; hospi1.Init.ClockMode = HAL_XSPI_CLOCK_MODE_0; hospi1.Init.WrapSize = HAL_XSPI_WRAP_NOT_SUPPORTED; hospi1.Init.ClockPrescaler = 249; hospi
Hi!I am trying a very simple test to receive the correct boot-up sequence which should be 0x55 0xAA and I am using this code:void ST67W_test(void) { printf("\r\n*** Bare-metal ST67W SPI Test ***\r\n"); // 1. Turn module ON HAL_GPIO_WritePin(CHIP_EN_GPIO_Port, CHIP_EN_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // 2. Wait for RDY = HIGH (boot event present) while (HAL_GPIO_ReadPin(SPI_RDY_GPIO_Port, SPI_RDY_Pin) == GPIO_PIN_RESET) {;} // 3. Assert CS = HIGH (begin frame) HAL_GPIO_WritePin(SPI_CS_GPIO_Port, SPI_CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_SET); // 4. Perform SPI transfer uint8_t tx[8] = {0}; uint8_t rx[8] = {0}; if (HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive(&NCP_SPI_HANDLE, tx, rx, 8, 100) != HAL_OK) { printf("\r\nSPI transfer failed!\r\n"); HAL_GPIO_WritePin(SPI_CS_GPIO_Port, SPI_CS_Pin, GPIO_PIN_RESET); return; } printf("\r\nRX: %02X %02X %02X %02X %02X %02X %02X %02X\r\n", rx[0], rx[1], rx[2], rx[3], rx[4], rx[5], rx[6], rx[7]); // 5. Hello All, I am using touchgfx for one of my application using on STM32757I-Eval kit.I am facing issue with running the application after successfully flashing the application, first time if I load from STM cube programmer, I can see the Program is running on display, but as I remove the Power from usb stlink and reconnect it back the Application is not loading and running.Could you please help me to understand why it happens and how can I rerun the application so that I don't have to program it again and again. Please let me know how to resolve it ? Regards,Shiv
Hi We are using the M41T94 RTC IC in our board. In the temperature test, we are observing the RTC reset. Reset to the initial date and time. This is causing the log and data mismatch.Test Details:Temperature cycling: 2 cold and 2 hot cyclesRange: -40 °C to +62 °CDwell time: 45 minutes per cycleRamp rate: 3 °C per minuteIssue Observed:At temperatures between 50 °C and 60 °C, the battery voltage drops from 3 V to below 2.5 V suddenly, and it will come back to its original voltage in a quick interval. Battery part number: CR1225Crystall part number: TFE322P32K7680R @B.Montanari @RobertC @mrtc Please provide me the root cause with a solution to fix the issue.
Hi,I have existing projects under the tried-and-trusted STM32CubeIde which I have previously built using the headless build option from GitHub actions, with CubeIDE pre-installed. This works well.I'm investigating use of the Stm32Cube for VS Code extension, that will enable us to use the Cursor AI fork of VS Code and have got the projects building correctly on my dev machine, using cmake files. All works well on my machine, but am trying to work out what steps are needed to get this working on GitHub actions. I understand (I think) that I need to have the extension installed to provide the 'cube' executable wrapper for cmake, setting up the correct path for the toolchain. So, do I need to install VS Code and the ST extension under my GitHub action yaml file to allow this all to build? I'm expecting to use the command line: `cube cmake --preset Release` followed by `cube cmake --build --preset Release` or similar. But I'm not sure what I need to install/configure prior t
Hi, I'm trying to do an external loader according ST's MOOC and this forum https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32h5-external-loader/td-p/601134.My code pass on all ST's tests of memory, but when I generate a stldr it does not read on cubeprog.I attached my project and log of cubeprog.I already do the same with a G474 without problems. Hello,I am using an STM32WB05KZ on a custom PCB. Initially, I was able to program it normally via SWD using STM32CubeProgrammer, but after uploading a BLE Beacon example, I can no longer connect to the MCU.CubeProgrammer now shows:Error: Unable to get core IDError: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_CMD_ERR)No STM32 target foundMy Hardware SetupCustom PCB using STM32WB05KZSWDIO, SWCLK, RST, VDD, GND routed through through-hole padsST-LINK V2 firmware: V2J46M33Operating voltage: 3.21 VSWD frequency tested from 4 MHz down to 100 kHzTried Normal, Hotplug, and Under Reset modesTried holding RESET while connecting → no successMy SituationAfter flashing the BLE firmware, SWD stopped responding completely. It seems the firmware reconfigured the SWD pins early or put the device into DeepStop, which disables SWD access.I saw advice suggesting to force the chip into the UART bootloader by pulling PA10 HIGH and resetting. However, since I designed a custom PCB (not the NUCLEO-WB05KZ), I manually tie PA10 to
Hello,I am using an STM32WB05KZ board and it was working normally with SWD through STM32CubeProgrammer.However, after uploading a BLE beacon example firmware, I can no longer connect to the MCU.CubeProgrammer shows the following errors:Error: Unable to get core IDError: ST-LINK error (DEV_TARGET_CMD_ERR)No STM32 target foundMy setup:SWDIO, SWCLK, and RST are connected through through-hole pads.ST-LINK V2 firmware: V2J46M33Voltage: 3.21 VSWD frequency tested from 4 MHz down to 100 kHzTried "Under Reset", "Hotplug", and "Normal" modesTried holding RESET while connecting → still no successIt seems the BLE firmware is blocking SWD or reconfiguring PA13/PA14 very early during boot.Requested Help:How can I recover the STM32WB05KZ and re-enable SWD?Is there a recommended recovery procedure for WB devices stuck after BLE firmware?Does the WB05KZ support BOOT0 or another method to force the system bootloader? How can I prevent BLE examples from disabling SWD pins or entering STOP mode?Any
I installed STM32Cube for VS Code extension and then created an empty project. But the "Setup STM32Cube project(s)" on the STM32CUBE KEY ACTIONS is still in gray color. Is there something that I missed? My environment is as follows. - Windows 11 - VSCode: 1.106.3 - STM32Cube for VS Code: 3.6.4
Hi Team,I am working with the STEVAL-D25R16B kit and have encountered a critical discrepancy in detection range between the embedded "Reader/Writer" demonstration and the PC-based USB mode. Here are the test results using ISO15693 tags:The Setup:Tag A: Placed at 2 cm (Near)Tag B: Placed at 10 cm (Far)1. Testing in USB Mode (PC GUI):Result: SUCCESS.The reader successfully detects both Tag A (2cm) and Tag B (10cm).2. Testing in Standalone "Reader/Writer" Demo:Result: FAILURE.The reader detects Tag A, but fails to detect Tag B at 10cm.Tag B is only detected if moved closer to 5 cm.Question: Could you please clarify which specific settings (Receiver Gain, Auto-Antenna Tuning, or Device Limits) differ between the USB GUI and the Example Firmware? We need to replicate the superior performance of the USB mode in the Reader/Writer.Thanks,Likhitha
I am trying to toggle an led and in the debugger I am getting the error: "Break at address "XXXXXXX" with no debug information available, or outside of program code "; before the program ends itself. I've sourced the error back to the HAL_Delay, I think the HAL_GetTick is getting stuck in a infinite while loop and not updating I am using the stm32WL30KBV6 and currently only have decoupling capacitors, and VCap hooked up to it. I am using the internal clocks. I am debugging over SWD. I saw a previous post about the possible issue being boot0 being held, but I couldn't find a boot pin for this specific MCU. My timebase source in my IOC file is SysTick. I'm pretty lost right now, so any help is appreciated
Hi,I am using STM32H563 with OEMiROT_Boot example project, I got a problem to read the FLASH_SIZE register (0x08FFF80C).I found two issues,(1) the value of this register is 0 at begining of OEMiROT_Boot main() function.(2) the register become not accessable after sau_init_cfg(). Snaku
I really want to love ST. There is so much potential in this company, but it using their products is awful at times.I have spent 3-4 hours a day for the past 5 weeks non-stop debugging issues when trying to prototype. The perfect example of this is. Give 100computer science Masters Levels B-L475E-IOT01A1, and say you have 4 hours to get on wifi and connect to a remote host. When they all fail, give them 2x the time until 48 hours are done. This should be as simple as python, when you get a hardware drop down, and select what packages you want. Has anyone figured this out? How do we get this device to connect to wifi? I've tried all the LLMs, google, youtube, etc.. I can't believe this would be so difficult to figure out without help.
HelloI want to emulate NTAG215, but I don't think the CE corresponding to T2t is in RFAL. I'm not sure if I understand it correctly, but,First of all, the status of my code is as follows.FreeRTOS-based ListenerCylce pollingEmulate nfc contextUID, SAK, ATQA are read, but RFAL_NFC_STATE_ACTIVATED does not seem to receive T2t commands from the reader without a single turnIf necessary, I will upload a portion of the code I am working on.Help me!
I have the SPC5Studio software installed. Installed everything I could find in the Help-> Install New Software. Found two help files in openocd-> docs section in the SPCStudio folder on the C drive. Only one applied, so as far as I know these are the latest drivers. UDE STK 5.2 and UDE STK 221 are both sitting on the desktop and do not do anything.Nothing I have tried has worked, any insight would be deeply appreciated.ThanksMike
Hi everyone,I’m new to STM32 and working on a custom board using the STSPIN32G4 to drive a 3-phase BLDC motor (max 1000 W). The board will be powered by a 7-cell Li-ion pack (max 29.4 V, up to 30 A). I would appreciate a general schematic review.Could you please check the following points:Debug interface – Is the STDC14 wiring correct? I want to use the STLINK-V3SET Debugger!Power routing – Are VDD_3V3, VDDA, VREF+, REGIN, and VCC connected properly and decoupled with the correct capacitors?Decoupling – Can any of the VDDA / VREF+ / VDD capacitors be safely reduced?TVS diode on VM – For the 29.4 V input, should I use a unidirectional or bidirectional TVS diode at the VM input? I’ve seen both approaches online but not sure which approach is best practice. RFM69 supply – Is it safe to power the RFM69 from VDD_3V (internal LDO), given ~140 mA peak and ~10–30 mA continuous (≈1% duty cycle), noting the STSPIN32G4 LDO is limited to 150 mA?SPI pin conflict – All SPI1, 2, 3 pins
Hi. I'm trying to read data from w25q64. When i erase and write the chip and then read it, i receive true data. But when i only read data, my chip is blank and i receive 0xFF.Is my chip still blank or i wrote the chip correctly? Why don't i receive true data when i only read it?

Hi, I'm using a Nucleo-F446RE Board and I'm trying to set up a basic DAC with DMA configuration without HAL-libaries.The configuration without DMA works just fine, I can measure correct voltages with my oscilloscope on PA4 as intended. My following DMA configuration sets the PA4 always on 0V, nothing happens.I checked the debugger and all registers are being properly set, DMA and DAC both have their clock and values. It just doesn't copy the values into DAC->DHR12R1. I also checked the Flags in DMA_LISR, but no error there.I'm probably missing somehow on how to start the whole process, so my last iteration of code tried to mess with software triggers. I also tried all combinations of PSIZE and MSIZE, as well as uint8_t and uint32_t arrays instead of uint16_t. I feel like I followed the stream configuration procedure from the reference manual, but I probably missed some small, gritty detail.Anybody got code for a similar MCU or sees the problem in my configuration? #inc

Hi everyone, dear.I have already managed to generate the necessary strings that represent the html pages, but I need to generate more complex pages. In the example that comes with CubeMX, it simulates a file system. How can I convert a small file structure to these headers? Thanks
2.0 of STMCubeIDE loads but is missing the New Project 'wizard' of 1.15:2.0 only allows a blank project to be created, but missing the graphic of the uP.1.15 allows wizard to run but then fails at the last step with error message something to do with embedded software, no matter what I try it always does the same. Is anyone having any sucess of getting this STMCubeIDE to actually run as its supposed to on a Mac?
