I want to generate an SBOM (Software Bill of Materials) for my STM32 firmware project, specifically targeting the STM32H733 microcontroller. I have tried searching for guides or examples of how others have done this for similar projects, but I haven’t been able to find any detailed resources. Any guidance or references on generating an SBOM for my firmware project would be greatly appreciated.
Hello, In a paused debugging session, in the Run and Debug > Variables > Local list, if I right-click the varaible, the context menu has an item "Show in Memory Inspector".Clicking it opens the Memory Inspector, but with the name of the variable as the adress ( &(pRxData) for example), which the memory viewer cannot resolve into the actual address (0x20003DC0 for example). For this functionality to be most useful, I would expect either the Memory Inspector to be able to resolve the variable, or the command to open the Memory Inspector with the already-resolved address. Best regards,Nicolas
This had me stumped for a while - Thought I was going blind for a second LOL.PCLK1 and PCLK2 identifiers are missing from the clock tree diagram for the STM32H723.(They are present in the trees for F103, G431, F446 and F723).
After generating the CMake project using STM32CubeMX (with the MCU being stm32f412ret6), how can FPU support be enabled in VSCode(STM32CubeIDE for Visual Studio Code)?
Hello, after updating to 3.7.0, my system no longer works. I can't debug and now get an error message. It was still working an hour ago.
I have eval kit EVALSTPM33 from Digikey. When I plug it into my PC USB port, I see a red LED near the USB port, and in the Windows device manager it shows up as com port #6. If I connect to that com port and try to read a register in software from https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-stpm001.html, I get an error. After 10 seconds or so the red LED goes out. I do not have anything connected besides the USB port.
Hello ST community,I am working on an application on STM32N6570-DK using the camera to detect humans with an AI model (X-CUBE-AI + NPU) and draw bounding boxes on the LCD using LTDC.I am facing a display corruption / glitch issue that only appears under very specific conditions, and I strongly suspect an AXI / interconnect / NPU side effect, possibly related to an undocumented reset or QoS state.Project architecture:Camera -> DCMIPP -> PIPE1 -> BUFFER1 -> LTDC_L1 -> PIPE2 -> BUFFER2 -> NPU -> Config ROI of DCMIPPMemory placement:LTDC framebuffer: AXIRAM2AI input/output buffers: AXIRAM5No buffer sharing between LTDC and AIProblem description:When MX_X_CUBE_AI_Process() is commented, the camera preview is perfectly stable on the LCD.When MX_X_CUBE_AI_Process() is enabled, continuous display glitches appear (tearing / corrupted lines). The issue happe
Hi, I'm a newbee in this community and my first post is related to an already existing one: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubeide-mcus/stm32cubeide-with-svn-subversion-which-files-folders-to-ignore/td-p/253294 Usually we have \project\.settings\language.settings.xml under version control - but changes in this file seem to be not relevant to track it. Can you complete the answer referenced by the link above? Best Regards, Thomas
Hello everyone, I'm currently working on a project using STM32Cube.AI with the STM32F746NGHx board. I've encountered an issue where the bsp_ai.h file is not generated after code generation. I'm using an ONNX model for this project. I've tried reinstalling STM32CubeMX several times, but the problem persists. Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or does anyone have suggestions on how to resolve this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!error: '../X-CUBE-AI/App/ai_device_adaptor.h:384:10: fatal error: bsp_ai.h: No such file or directory' Thank you!
Hello,Regarding CubeMX 6.17, I'm trying to configure a STM32N657 project from scratch. I'm looking for the driver for the ASP256 SRAM memory chip found in various examples and the STM32N6570-DK discovery board. If I search the "Software Packs" I can't seem to find the device listed there. Are these files missing or am i looking in the wrong place? I found them on Github here: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32-aps256 but I figured that it should be available in CubeMX (or it would be nice if it was available). If they are available from CubeMX, how do I extract and add the component to the project? ThanksMatt
In the FD_CAN register, there is a CEL[7:0]:, REC[6:0]: and TEC[7:0]:,The CEL register is not being reset on read and goes into the Bus-Off mode.Do I need to also reset the REC and TEC register?I am currently using the HAL_GetErrorCounter() function to read the register.
This time, my problem is not related to hardware or firmware. What happened was that when I closed Cube IDE during my lunch break, everything was normal... but when I came back and opened it again, the interface colors had changed, which I don't like, and personally, I find that appearance visually uncomfortable. As you can see in the attached image, the gray color where I write code seems to have a haze over it. How can I correct it so that it looks like a solid, dark tone like the part below? Thank you for your help. My eyes and I will greatly appreciate it.
Hi,I wrote my own source file. It is located in the Core/Src directory. I have also entered it accordingly in cmakelists.txt.my cmakelists.txtNow I get an error saying that the include files from the Drivers directory are missing. If I remove my entry, I no longer get the error. But then I can't use my customs. Is there a sample cmakelists.txt that includes customs?Thank you,Funnypinky
Hello,I have STM32F7 controller, using Free RTOS, trying to interface external NOR flash, S29GL128S10TFIV13.So at first, I was trying to do normal read/write operation, but here what I observed,void FMC_Init() { hnor2.Instance = FMC_NORSRAM_DEVICE; hnor2.Extended = FMC_NORSRAM_EXTENDED_DEVICE; /* hnor2.Init */ hnor2.Init.NSBank = FMC_NORSRAM_BANK2; hnor2.Init.DataAddressMux = FMC_DATA_ADDRESS_MUX_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.MemoryType = FMC_MEMORY_TYPE_NOR; hnor2.Init.MemoryDataWidth = FMC_NORSRAM_MEM_BUS_WIDTH_16; hnor2.Init.BurstAccessMode = FMC_BURST_ACCESS_MODE_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.WaitSignalPolarity = FMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_POLARITY_LOW; hnor2.Init.WaitSignalActive = FMC_WAIT_TIMING_BEFORE_WS; hnor2.Init.WriteOperation = FMC_WRITE_OPERATION_ENABLE; hnor2.Init.WaitSignal = FMC_WAIT_SIGNAL_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.ExtendedMode = FMC_EXTENDED_MODE_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.AsynchronousWait = FMC_ASYNCHRONOUS_WAIT_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.WriteBurst = FMC_WRITE_BURST_DISABLE; hnor2.Init.Continuo
I have a dual core application running on an STM32H7 where I would like: the CM7 to tell the CM4 to enter stop modehave the CM4 enter stop modeat a later time, have the CM7 wake the CM4 from said stop modeIn the CM4 code, I'm doing this: HAL_PWREx_ClearPendingEvent(); HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOPMode(PWR_LOWPOWERREGULATOR_ON, PWR_STOPENTRY_WFE, PWR_D2_DOMAIN);The problem is that HAL_PWREx_EnterSTOPMode is immediately exiting. I use the HSEM library for synchronizing all communication between the CM7 and CM4. I thought that maybe I had a case where the CM7 was notifying the CM4 via the HSEM library when I didn't want it to, causing it to wake. So as a test, I added an infinite loopwhile (1);after notifying the CM4 so that the CM7 wouldn't execute anything else. I know that debugging can/will wake the core. To confirm that the CM4 was getting the notification and calling the above HAL_PWREx code, I turn on an LED, delay for 5 seconds, then make the calls. After the enter function returns,
CubeMX does not generate .project and .cproject files for cubeIDE, when in CubeMX project it is selected to not use default firmware location, and path set to folder with STM32Cube FW from github. To reproduce:1 Open CubeMX2 Select File->New Project 3 Select chip, in my case stm32g491ceu64 Open Project manager tab, enter name and location for the project, toolchain - stcubeide5 Uncheck "Use Default Firmware Location", Click Browse and navigate to a folder with github repository with cude FW package6 Go to "Code Generator" sub tab, select radio button "Add nevessary library files as reference in the toolchainproject configuration file"7 Click generate8 Observe folder content in the file explorer - .cproject and .project are missing. I am using STM32H743 controller, LAN8720 Ethernet chip, and Keil5 programming softwareI am using the IAP function of the network port and need to write the received data to FLASH. I found that the data read at that address after writing was modified. I found during debugging that after the "netif_add" function in LWIP initialization was executed, the data of my flash address was modified. May I ask what happened. Here is my MPU configuration, I'm not sure if it's related to MPU configuration uint8_t MPU_Set_Protection(uint32_t baseaddr, uint32_t size, uint32_t rnum, uint8_t ap, uint8_t sen, uint8_t cen, uint8_t ben) { MPU_Region_InitTypeDef MPU_Initure; HAL_MPU_Disable(); // 配置MPU之前先关闭MPU,配置完成以后在使能MPU MPU_Initure.Enable = MPU_REGION_ENABLE; // 使能该保护区域 MPU_Initure.Number = rnum; // 设置保护区域 MPU_Initure.BaseAddress = baseaddr; // 设置基址 MPU_Initure.Size = size; // 设置保护区域大小 MPU_Initure.SubRegionDisable = 0X00; // 禁止子区域 MPU_Initure.TypeExtField = MPU_TEX_LEVEL0; // 设置类型扩展域为lev
I was previously using version 5.0.2, where I could enable the 'Multi-library' option in the Deployment step (Step 5). After updating to v5.1.0, I can no longer find this checkbox. Since I need to deploy two separate libraries in my project, what is the recommended workflow now?
Hi ST Community, I'm wondering if there's a sample project for a UART Bootloader for the NUCLEO-H755ZI-Q series. Thanks for your support
Starting my design on a reference design based on STDES for WL3 series. I would like to know what is needed for the smallest hardware connection to download a program from ST32CUBE IDE. I need to have the minimum amount of connectors on the board. I.E. I don't want to plug in my board that I designed to the NUCLEO base board debugger for downloading a program if I don't have to. Can I take advantage of the STDC14 connection on the ref Des and if so, do I need some external piece of hardware to connect to it which then connects to the USB port on a computer? Thanks!
Hello,I am planning to use BLDC motors in a robotic manipulator where torque control of the motors will be established. Thus, FOC SDK of STMicroelectronics will be utilized. Since the manipulator will be a parallel one, none of the motors will need to make one full revolution and they will work in low speeds as well. They will be equipped with encoder to measure the rotor position that is critical to FOC. Also, the zero position of the motors will be known prior to the running of the manipulator and so absolute position measurement will be no problem. My question is as follows. Can BLDC motors be used in the above mentioned application utilizing the FOC SDK? As I know, sensorless estimation of rotor position requires the spped to be relatively high. However, HFI (high frquency injection) technique of STM can overcome this issue and can estimate the rotor position at low speeds and even at standstill. Only requirement is for the motor to be an interior PMSM. Then, in case of encoder, the
I having some issues with nvram in op-tee.I don't know what this happen. It seems that op-tee want to say to me that 0xffff0006 is TEE_ERROR_BAD_PARAMETERS. In this case, I don't use any tamper and don't have LSE.I think this is a bug because my ST TF-A and ST Op-tee assumes that LSE must be available to proceed. I made a specific hack in ST TF-A that avoids the LSE configuration to continue working. When ST TF-A was starting. It was going to enable clock ID 5, which is LSE, no matter if I have LSE disabled or enable. An if-statement solved this issue.Do you have any clue what's can be the cause of this?Processor: STM32MP257FAK F/TC:0 0 process_probe_list:657 Probe loop 6 after 4 for deferral(s) D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:504 Probe list: 3 elements D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:506 |- Driver stm32-gpu probes on node gpu@48280000 D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:506 |- Driver stm32-tamp probes on node tamp@46010000 D/TC:0 0 print_probe_list:506 |- Driver stm32-cpu probes on node cpu@0 D/TC:0 0
