Hi,I can´t find the QConn_flash tool for the ST67W61....Best regards,Achim
Hello I am looking at the ST87M01 Startup sequence in ST87MXX Startup Application Note. For configuring the ST87M01 (Band locks, eDRX, PSM ...), I understand that I need to "Stop the NBIOT Stack", enter my configuration with AT Commands, store this configuration in flash and restart the module. is this correct ? How do I "stop the NBIOT Stack" ? Is it possible to bypass this automatic startup, i.e. send a first "AT command" at startup, execute a specific set of configuration commands, trigger the network attachment ... without rebooting ? Many thanks, Thierry
Trying to get AT+CWLAP command to work"AT+CWLAP=1" isn't enough input to get READY to rise."AT+CWLAP=1,,,400,1000" gives "ERROR".Previous commands have worked as expected"AT+PWR=0""AT+CWMODE=1,0""AT+CWAUTOCONN=0""AT+CWCOUNTRY=0,\"00\"""AT+CWHOSTNAME=\"ST67_Min\"""AT+SLCLDTIM""AT+CWSTATE?""AT+CWLAPOPT=1,22,-90,255,10"Any suggestions for AT+CWLAP syntax?Using 1.20 and ST32H563 Nucleo
Hi all, I'm working on my first implementation of Bluetooth in a client custom bord. The board MCU is an STM32L151VeT6 with an BLUENRG-M2 module. I'm not new to STM32 development but new to Bluetooth. Im using STM32CubeMX with STM32IDE. I started first with an X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1 with an Nucleo-L476RG. I got the SensorDemo_BLESensor-App working fine. All the config was done from scratch with MX. Now the problem comes when I try to use the same demo with my custom board. I cannot get the module to initialize correctly. I would like to know why using this demo application on my custom board in not as straight forward as I thought. I cannot find any help on the web.I understand that the demo application was done for the X-Nucleo-BNRG2A1 but apparently changing Platform setting to match the custom board is not enough. Are there any modifications other than in CubeMX that should be done in the generated source and header file when using a custom board?? HCI_init s
Hi,I have a board design with the ST87M01-1301 that I am trying to bring up. The ST87M01 boots and I can control the device from the ST 87Mxx OM GUI tool, no issues with any of that.I am trying to get the GNSS working with a single antenna as shown in the data sheet and the EVKIT. The board is routed with RF_AUX (pin 33) connected to GNSS_ANT (pin 31), all per the guidelines. A passive GPS antenna is connected at the RF_ANT (pin 35)Is there an AT command that switches the RF_AUX On/Off to connect to the GNSS_ANT pin, or is the RF_AUX o/p always available? I have not been able to find this information in any of the ST87M01 documentation. At the moment my board is never able to get a GNSS fix and I want to be sure I have not missed a critical configuration AT command. The GUI continually outputs #GNSSFIX: 5.Thank you in advance for any comments or guidance. JT
Hi,Are there plans for supporting the new ST 4G NB=IOT modem ST87M01 in the X-CUVE_CELLULAR software stack? Thanks, Hans.
Hello, Regarding current implementation of wrapper timers in st87ec library, we have a few questions:Is it fine to change implementation of tick resolution? Lets say if we have tick every 1 microsecond, if we change implementation of wrapper timer by multiplying by 1000, will it affect any other parts of library? Is there a plan to change implementation to interrupt driven for low power applications? What is expected longest timeout which requires waking up every 1ms?Is there sequence to put st87 to PSM? Best regards,Kamil.
I recently got a new custom PCB with a STM32L476RGT6 and a BlueNRG-M2SP. I have a Nucleo L476RG and a X-NUCLEO-BNRG2A1 to test and make sure the program works. I am running the SensorDemo_BLESensor-App project from the X-CUBE-BLE2 package, and it works flawlessly on the dev board with the pinouts that are on my PCB, connected with jumper cables.I have been trying to isolate why this program isn't working on my PCB, and realized the IRQ pin is not going high after the send_cmd() function. So basically with the dev board whenever it runs hci_reset(), and eventually into hci_send_req where send_cmd is, IRQ goes high, but on the PCB, IRQ never goes high. Now from my understanding, this can be a problem in several areas. I have a multimeter, and confirmed CS is going high at the same time in the code for both the PCB and the dev board, and I set PD2 on my PCB high as a test and it worked so the PD2 (Where my IRQ pin is connected to) works as well. I can go to my uni and use their logic analy
Hello, I bought original STEVAL-FCU001V2 board and STEVAL-DRONE02. When I tried to connect via Android app for the first time to the STEVAL-FCU001V2 board, I successfully connected. Later I forgot battery connected to the board and battery became useless. Then I bought new 1S lipo battery and run the board again but app does not find bluetooth connection anymore. I used the board with some custom softwares; ran motors, collected data from IMU sensor successfully, but I have no idea about bluetooth module. I sucessfully builded original STSW-FCU001 after fixing some simple errors and installed to the board but it still does not find connection. I have not enough knowledge to fix codes about bluetooth, I bought it to learn at all. Did anyone else face with same problem and solve it?
We are making a FCU based on STEVAL-FCU001V2 as a study project. We have manufactured the pcb from the gerber files that ST provided. We have had the components stuffed on the pcb as well. We uploaded the ST firmware provided by ST in our drone from this link: "https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-fcu001.html", Specifically The STEVAL-FCU001V1 program using the ST-Link V2. We uploaded this code as this is the only code that was built without any errors in the cubeide. Now we know that the code is uploaded inside the board as when we press reset button, the onboard led turns on. But in the STDrone App, we cannot see the drone. The BLE sensor used is the BlueNRG-M0A. It is working as well as by using multimeter we measured the power consumption between its VDD and GND pin to be 3.3 volts. The define statement in the code is also set to "#define REMOCON_BLE // BLE Remocon App" but still we cannot see the drone in the app.Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Hello, I am using STPM34 smart metering chip to read 230 VAC voltages and currents. I am using 3 chips on 1 board:First 2 STPM34 measure 3 phases of 230 VAC voltages and currents, 3 STPM34 measures 16 multiplexed current channels and no voltage.I am communicating with all chips via SPI interface, I use CRC to verify communication. I also use auto Latch function on all chips and 2x current gain on all channels, these are all the settings I change every time it powers on. The problem I face is after long working time, from a few days to a week, I start to get wrong values from some chips. Sometimes I get wrong voltages, sometimes wrong currents. Currently I am getting 428 V on voltage channel that is measuring 250 VAC on a device that runs for 12 days. Previously I was getting 0 A on a current channels of a device that was running for 5 days. It depends on device that I use. I have 5 PCBs with assembled devices, currently testing 2 on long run and both return wrong values after some
Hey,I am trying to develop firmware for a BLUE-NRG module using Wise-studio, I have done this before on a Windows machine. Now I am trying to install Wise-studio on a MacBook M4 Pro, which is Apple silicon.I downloaded the .dmg and installed it, and gave it permissions to run. When trying to open the application, nothing happens.I have a java 21 JDK installed and working.Does Wise-studio support ARM64 processors?I successfully installed the IDE on a Parallels VM Windows 11 ARM64 instance, but cannot in macOS.Help will be appreciated!
Hello,I am using a BlueNRG-M2SP module mounted on my own custom PCB. I programmed it using the STSW-BLUENRG1-DK package and flashed the DTM / UART project to check basic functionality and enable advertising. The project runs correctly in Debug mode, reaches while(1), and no HardFault occurs. I configured the Symbols as follows:HS_SPEED_XTAL = HS_SPEED_XTAL_32MHZLS_SOURCE = LS_SOURCE_INTERNAL_ROSMPS_INDUCTOR = SMPS_INDUCTOR_NONEUART is connected via DIO8 (TX) and DIO11 (RX) to a USB-to-TTL converter. However, when I open the COM port in BlueNRG-GUI, I get:No device detectedNo firmware detected on the motherboardBecause this is a custom PCB and not an ST evaluation board, the “motherboard firmware” message is unclear to me.Could this issue be related to:The type of firmware (DTM project)UART configurationClock / power / hardware setupOr BlueNRG-GUI limitations with custom boards?I have also attached some photos and a short video of the setup and programming steps, which I believe may help
Hi, I have been looking at this newer ST87M01 as of here :- https://www.st.com/resource/en/datasheet/st87m01.pdf and wondered does it support LTE-M or only NB-IOT? Thanks!
All,I'm working on the basics of getting the SPI communication set up for the L9780 IC and am running into some issues, so I'd appreciate some feedback or a double-check. It appears so far that I'm able to send a command via the control word and successfully echo that back when the REG=1 bit is set. When doing so, the CB bits are correct, so everything seems to be functioning as intended. My issue is that I'm getting a SPI fault when REG=0 to get the status register as an output. The CB[1,0] bits are correct, however SPIF1 is asserted. The datasheet has a few sections on this so I'll address each of them:5.5.1 SPI data faultDatasheet says this is set when the CB[1,0] bits are not set as expected. My base control word is 0x00040F18192A8040 which appears to be OK.When enabling VCCS and INRC, byte 14 and 13 get updated so the word is 0x02040F.... and 0x0244F.... respectively.Additionally when getting my "echo" of the SI register, the control word is 0x0A440F18192A8040 which also appears to
Hi STM team, I would like to know if/how I can simply connect e.g. the ST67W611M1 or another WiFi module to a switch IC, e.g. the KSZ8795CLXIC, without needing a microcontroller. Or is there a switch IC that can be connected directly to the ST67W611M1, e.g. with SPI?If possible, do you have an application, a sample circuit or a development board for me? Thanks in advance! Best regards, Christos
Greetings,I'm trying to run an application using X-CUBE-ST67W61, but I'm encountering a problem at this line in w61_at_common.c: int32_t W61_AT_ModemInit(W61_Object_t *Obj) { (...) xReturned = xSemaphoreTake(mdm->sem_if_ready, pdMS_TO_TICKS(4000)); (...) } everytime, xReturned equals 0, which means that sem_if_ready is not received. My setup consists of STM32N6570-DK with X-NUCLEO-67W61M1, and the code I'm trying to run is mostly ble_p2p_server app from X-CUBE-ST67W61. Some of the SPI communication starts, as seen below: but these are the only signals that are appearing.
We are using 2 KNX IC on our project. One of them for communication and some LEDs other one (STKNX) just for driving LEDs not for communication. But of course is directly connected to KNX_BUS line. When we applied Surge test , TVS couldn't protect the device.I found some solutions but of course is effects other part of design.TVS is 36V bidrectional. If I choose 100R for 68R connected to pin3 R68 which is transmitter pin, everthing is fine. Passing the test. KNX timing is also good. However, Voltage on VDDHV is lower as excepted, and LEDs are flickering (blinking).1- How can i juice more power from STKNX? 2- Is this a big problem when i choose 100R instead of 68R, because we are not using STKNX as communication IC.Thanks. Hi, i have bought a Nucleo-U575ZI-Q coupled with a X-Nucleo-67W61M1 i have upload the exemple ST67W6X_MQTT, after reading the doc i have complete the configuration and i run well. I use it with mosquitto or nanomq brokers (same results) but on both the broker inform me than the QoS=0 (with publish and subscribe) The documentation of the AT-command of ST67W indicate that i can use 0,1 or 2 for the Qos. In the exemple the drivers don't use the Qos and force it to zero. I have modify it but the result is always the same. I would like to use QoS=1 to be sure the message arrived. Have you an idea ? I have verify than the broker accept all levels in the conf. I have also publish with MQTTX(with Qos=1) and the broker notify the good level of Qos
Hi !We're testing with the eval-boards NUCLEO-H7S3L8 + X-NUCLEO-67W61M1.The software is the CLI project of the NUCLEO-H7S3L8.At the bottom of this post you will find infos to the software versions. There we're having an issue when we try to connect to an WiFi AP and the password includes a comma (',').It looks the ST67W6X_Network_Driver is encoding and sending the AT-command correctly, but the NCP (ST67W611M1) response with ERROR.So it seems to us it's an issue of the NCP firmware.Via Shell/CLI we initiate the connection to the WiFI AP via the command wifi_sta_connect.When we set the password at the AP to "pw123456" we can connect to the AP.When we set the password at the AP to "pw123,56" we can not connect to the AP.For debugging we followed the code in the ST67W6X_Network_Driver till function W61_AT_Common_SetExecute(..).There the AT-command is sent and the response is received. If the password is not including a comma, it is connecting to the WiFi AP successfully. The communication of
Hi,Are there any APIs available to read the base frequency dynamically on the RC-868 RF module?I noticed the S2LPRadioGetFrequencyBase API in the S2LP driver. Are there any additional APIs for this purpose?
I am trying to do a general HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit. Everything is fine until I come here: /* Write data to TXDR */ hi2c->Instance->TXDR = *hi2c->pBuffPtr;When I pass this line, the ARLO bit is set in I2C->ISR. My pBuffPtr is correct. It's literally a pointer that points to a location containing 0x6. Additionally, the system does set TXDR. Both Instance->TXDR and I2C->TXDR changed to 6 after this line. This is happening for every instance of HAL_I2C_Master_Transmit.Do y'all know why this ARLO error might be happening or have any solutions? Thanks!
Dear,I have an application that is very simple and instead of hooking up a STM32C01x to the ST87M01 I would like to know if I can program my own application inside of it? Regards,Roland
Hi I cannot ask a a question on x-cube-cellular because there is no lable for it. Also the ST87M01 4G NB-iot modem has no label. So i cannot ask a question about it. Arggg, Regards, Hans.
The ST87M01 NBIOT module has been announced but is only going to large scale manufacturers at present as samples. Does anyone know roughly how long it’s likely to be before it would be available to us smaller players?
