Hello everyone, I'm using a STEVAL-MKBOXPRO connected to an RPi3B+ to receive data via Bluetooth.The BLESensors code is integrated into Sensortile.I've tried two approaches and for now I'm stuck:Using the BlueSTSDK library, I've run example_ble_1.py with sudo (Python version is 3.7).pi@raspberrypi:~/BlueSTSDK_Python/blue_st_examples $ sudo python3 example_ble_1.py ################## # BlueST Example # ################## Scanning Bluetooth devices... Discovery started. Discovery stopped. Discovery started. Discovery stopped. No Bluetooth devices found. Exiting...Trying both synchronously and asynchronously to find the device, but it's not being detected (very strange because I can find it from the RPi3 and also from the Android app).On the other hand, trying a different approach using the bleak library, writing this code manages to connect to the device. #import asyncio from bleak import BleakScanner #async def main(): # devices = await BleakScanner.discover() # for d in dev
Hi, MURALI SELVAM from India. I using "STM32H743VIT6" I want know heart beat signal hardware configuration, in the project I using three MCU for safety purpose, in case 1st MCU will get failure, 2nd one is take control, 2nd one will get failure, 3rd one will take control for this I have taking "heart beat signal processing" but I don't know how to do hardware configuration and what kind of communication interface between three processor suitable for this like SPI, I2C. Anyone who know about it kindly let me know.
Hi everybody, I'm a newby of ST development boards and I'm trying to use the BlueST-SDK for Python to get the data sent by the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO on the BLE interface. The python library is running on a Raspberry Pi 4 Model B, hosting on it a Python installation with version 3.9 or 3.10 (depending on the Operating System I tried to install on the Raspberry - Raspbian or Ubuntu). The problem is that the BlueST SDK which on its turn uses the bluepy library is declared to work with Python 3.5. Indeed using Python 3.9 or 3.10 and running one of the examples provided with the SDK, no BLE node is discovered, even if the STEVAL-MKBOXPRO is active. The MKBOXPRO is correctly detected by the command:sudo hcitool lescan but it is not detected by the BlueST-SDK.I have then read a post on github where a user indicates that this problem was solved downgrading Python from 3.10 to 3.5. I have then configured another alternative Python installation on the Raspberry, namely version 3.5.4.I started the
i have 2 STEVAL-BCN002V1B boardsthe first one i tried using the app and using bluetooth and the daughterboard (sensor board) showed solid green and i can't bluetooth connect to it and using firmware updater with USB doesnt erase to load new firmwarethe second device, used USB connection to load a firmware version that has worked on other bluetile, and gets green light. tried to erase the flash, says it did it, but then solid green need help as both boards are solid green and i can't new firmware loaded. I read in an article that there is possibility of permanent brickingI have gone through this doc:https://www.tme.com/Document/b19a4c2ae115b1ffbff8b10955022a24/SPBTLE-1SINS.pdf The utility shows successful flashing of our FW update, and also when doing erase but getting solid green light
These answers say that the BlueNRG-M2SP module comes blank and must be programmed with a firmware binary.https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/preloaded-firmware-of-bluenrg-m2sp/m-p/134698#M1534https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/what-mode-is-the-bluenrg-m2sp-module-in-when-its-comes-from-the/td-p/657978How do you recommend the BlueNRG-M2SP module be programmed in a production environment? For example, are there tools available for pre-programming the module before it's soldered to the custom board? Or does the module need to be programmed in circuit through the module's SWD connection with tools such as ST-Link V2 and the programmer application? Programming in-circuit with ST-Link might be OK for low volume production but is there a better solution for high-volume products?
We are a data company based out of the UK who use a data collection device which utilises RF transmission. The device transmits accelerometer data collected on it using the S2-LPQTR component. This set up is certified for FCC and CE, with the caveat that during compliance testing, the frequency band had to be made wider for the FCC regulations: CEFCCBase Frequency868.2 MHz921.4 MHzFrequency Deviation20 kHz228.516 kHzChannel Bandwidth100 kHz541 kHzThe end result of these changes is that the range of transmission has dropped from around 100 metres to around 5 metres.I have attached some pictures of some investigation I did with a spectrum analyser to see the difference between the two settings. It's clear that some drop in range is going to occur, but is it expected for it to be so drastic?We use 2-FSK modulation. Turning up the power doesn't seem to do anything as I think we are bottlenecked by the fact our device is small and the transmission is bottlenecked by a tiny co
I rely mainly on the example of WiFi_HTTP_Server stm32F413H-Discovery but it no longer works, the web page fell, I do not know where I am wrong, if in the response times I have it wrong or I pointed to the wifi module I use stm32cubeideI implemented the example mentioned for another wifi http server stm32h7b3i-dk with wifi module (ISM43340-M4G-L44-10 CF) board but I just turned off the led and it turned on twice and then I no longer have access to the web server with the ip the page fellI send you the code wifi http server stm32h7b3i-dk with wifi module (ISM43340-M4G-L44-10 CF) to see if something is wrong is for the wifi module ISM43340-M4G-L44-10CF-C6.2.1.8 Inventek Systems
Hi, I need a comprehensive description of STUSB1602 registers to see if there's a possibility to control the I/O lines with them. I checked the git repository of firmwares and found something but I'd like to get a general description of the registers and what can be done with them. This seems to have been asked before without any clear replies and I can't find it in ST documentation either. So if you know any links that tell something about this, please post here.Another question is: what is the reason a pull-up is required on the SPI lines?The problem is, the MOSI line is sinking 200uA excess current due to the 10k pull-up when the device is in standby mode and this is not acceptable in this battery operated device. Is there a way to set the I/O pins in different states to avoid such current loss? There's a STM32G071 on the other end which currently has its SPI pins defined as no-pull.If I remove the resistor this current doesn't flow and the problem disappears. But does the SPI bus w
Hi community,I´m using BlueNRG-LP and coding in WiSE studio, want to printf some float data, but failed and tried most solutions I can found, no one is working. is there some special solution for this environment?
Hi everyone,I would like to design a BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) server-side on my STWINBX1 board.I saw some ST documentation, like "PM 0257: BlueNRG-1, BlueNRG-2 BLE stack v2.x programming guidelines"On introduction, its said that it use "BlueNRG-1, BlueNRG-2 BLE stack v2.x library APIs", but thats unclear for me where can I find this library.I found bothBLE Profiles_Lib 3.1.3 and BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3 projects, thats include severals .a files, somes demos, and theys seems to include lot of useless stuff for me.I would like to download a simple library (like a .a) and some .h files to get prototypes of functions that I can use to design the BLE server part of my software. Do you know which library I have to download ?Thanks a lot for your help
Hi everyone,I am currently working on a PCB design using a Bluenrg-332ac chip. The official PCB design guideline has a resistor marked "X" as shown on the left of the figure below. But I saw the resistor soldered on the eval board. Can anyone explain whether we keep the resistor or not in the PCB design?Reference files: AN5526 STEVAL-IDB012V1

Hello, I am looking to get hold of the SET cross-section data for 54VCXH163245 if it exists?
Hi team, kindly assist us with below mentioned queries...For the some Stm components Datasheet did not specify a thermal characteristics.For the thermal simulation we need a thermal resistance of junction-board and thermal resistance of junction-board values. part series mentioned below..1] ST890DTR2] BCP56-163] SMAJ5.0A-TR4] SMAJ15A-TR5] STL13N60DM26] TS924AIPT7] STTH4R02U8] SM6T200CA9] L78L12ABUTR10] STPS20200CG-TRFor the above mentioned part series we need a junction-case thermal resistance and junction-board thermal resistance. so, can you please provide these data as soon as possible.Looking for your soonest response.
Dear all I have terrible problem regarding security in my application developed for a client. I am using BlueNRG-2 in my target system (which is custom made) and I observed the same situation on STEVAL-IDB007V1 as well. To make things short, the easiest way to reproduce the problem is to upload the "Security peripheral" example onto STEVAL-IDB007V1 (EVAL for short) board, and make it run. Then download the nRF Connect application for Android (the best app I know), and bond with the EVAL. Bonding seems to work fine, although it sometimes would ask me for a PIN event though I opted for "JustWorks", but whatever. Then , after bonding I can connect without problems, BUT only after when I disconnect, firmware switches do undirected connectable calling aci_gap_set_undirected_connectable finction WITH the WHITELIST. And now whenever I try to connect again I get dreaded 0x85 GATT ERROR (read through nordic semi forums to see why I said "dreaded"). The only way to connect to EVAL board from now
iam using nucleo f446re for reading from and writing to i2c eeprom on arduino i used to extrat the 7bit address from the 10 bit using this core for that void writeLexChip(uint16_t TenBits_slave_address, uint8_t firstRegisterByte, uint8_t secondRegisterByte, uint8_t thirdRegisterByte, uint8_t *contentBuffer, uint16_t writeSize) {ChipOn();uint16_t slave_address_LSB = TenBits_slave_address & 0x0FF;uint16_t slave_address_MSB = TenBits_slave_address & 0x300;slave_address_MSB = slave_address_MSB >> 8;uint8_t SevenBits_compat_address = 0x78 | slave_address_MSB;contentBuffer[0] = slave_address_LSB;contentBuffer[1] = firstRegisterByte;contentBuffer[2] = secondRegisterByte;contentBuffer[3] = thirdRegisterByte;Wire.beginTransmission(SevenBits_compat_address);Wire.write(contentBuffer, 4 + writeSize);Wire.endTransmission(true);Serial.println(F("Write OK"));ChipOff();}on stm32 cube ide i worked for many many weeks for even show the i2c address on any i2c scanner source o
Hi :I noticed that Controller privacy requires 32MHz High Speed Crystal in BlueNRG-1_2 DK 3.2.3\Project\BLE_Examples\BLE_Privacy\src\BLE_Privacy_main.c, but I don't find any document about this.Meanwhile, my platform has 16M high speed crystal, I modify HS_SPEED_XTAL_32MHZ to HS_SPEED_XTAL_16MHZ then flash this demo and can't scan the bluenrg1 device(the demo has name "pslave"). is there any workaround so that I can use Controller privacy with 16M high speed crystal? @LauraCx @Rene Lenerve @Laurent LOUAZON
Hi Madam/Sir,I have flashed the firmware of STEVAL-IDP004V2 to my own version, now i want to flash back, where can I download the default firmware when I bought it?thanks
Hi all,I have a question regarding the SPIRIT1 RF transceiver. According to Section 9.1, it features Antenna diversity functionality, allowing the transceiver to monitor signal strength in antennas and utilize the best one available.My query is whether this function is directly implemented on SPIRIT1 or if it necessitates a host MCU where all the logic will be housed to control diversity functions.If its implemented on SPIRIT1, is it function via the available four GPIO pins?Are there any specific requirements for RF switches to enable this function?Moreover, is it feasible to employ four antennas, or does this functionality exclusively support two antennas?Thank you
Hi, I have an STEVAL-FKI433V2 board which I am trying to work on using S2-LP DK on windows.When I connect the board and try to open the com port, it requests to update the firmware on the L0.Did that, and still it does not work. It always requests to update the firmware... in another post it suggests the hardware is defective: https://community.st.com/t5/interface-and-connectivity-ics/s2-lp-dk-application-v1-2-1-quot-wrong-firmware-detected-quot/m-p/325134#M5154 Any assistance?
