Posted on July 01, 2016 at 00:54Hi,I am rather new, although advancing in big steps with through the blueNRG chips, which i find the be really great!I am runing latest FW version, and i noticed something rather strange:If my central device has a random (not public) address, it can only connect to peripheral devices having also random addresses. if i try to create a connection with a public address peripheral, i never get any response from the blueNRG chip after issuing the create connection command. Is this a known issue, or is it normal? Thank you very much,
Posted on June 01, 2016 at 16:45Hello, I tried to delete the characteristics and the service that I created but I didn't succeed. I used the commands aci_gatt_del_char and aci_gatt_del_service but it didn't work. If I understand, I have to give the handlers of the service and/or characteristics as parameters, so I tried to delete them directly after creating them when aci_gatt_add_serv and aci_gatt_add_char give me the handlers. It always answer me 0xFF (timeout). I tried to reset the component before, I tried to delete them at the beginning of the initialization (before creating the service/characteristics) but it's always the same result. Apart of this, I managed to communicate with the BlueNRG. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Regards Nicolas
Posted on June 29, 2016 at 14:46Hello, after adding the 6th service with aci_gatt_add_serv i get the errorcode 0x1f (out of memory) if i add the 7th service? This error is independent of the count of characteristics in the other services. How can i increase the possible count of services. I use stack mode 2. #bluenrg-ms

Posted on June 29, 2016 at 14:00I have a question about possibility of implementation pocsag protocol on Spirit 1. I have eval and SPIRIT1 DK GUI, but there is possible to set maximum preamble to 32 bytes. Pocsag needs 72 bytes preamble. Did you implement pocsag protocol on spirit 1 or is it actually possible?
Posted on June 29, 2016 at 10:44Dear Users, I am trying to communicate between IDS001v4 and ids01a4 using SPIRIT1 DK (IDS001v4) and P2P_Demo (ids01a4). After configuring radio in DK I receive packets, but always occurs ''Packet lost. CRC error''. What could be the reason of such a behavior? Thank you! Pawel #spirit1-ids001v4-ids01a4
Posted on June 17, 2016 at 14:07Dear Community, I am trying to use PRINT macro available in BLE1 examples pack (SensorDemo). Is there a way to turn serial communication with the device, as turning DEBUG definition on doesn't allow any COM output? Thank you, Pawe? #bluenrg-serial-com
Posted on June 28, 2016 at 15:27Hello we are evaluating to use Contiki OS in Spirit1 + STM32 platform. I still have two doubts: 1.- is available OTA (Over The Air) upgrade for the microntroller? 2.- what's the size of the Contiki stack to program in the micro? Thanks in advance.
Posted on June 28, 2016 at 10:00Hello, again. In SPIRIT1 datasheet, in section of synthesizer band, especially for divider value, there are four values, i.e. divide-by-6, by-12, by-16 and by-32. But in File SPIRIT1-Library, which is part of SPIRIT1-DK Software, there is another value, divide-by-8, which give us a band 580-717 MHz. Is it possible SPIRIT1 to work in that Band? And, there are anither three combinatiopns of BS Field of SYNT0 Register - 000,110 and 111. Divide-by-? is on that combinations? Ah, by-the-way, I still wait for answer, for time to compute, AES Encryption. I measure it is about 30-40 us. Is it true? Sincerely: P. Pavlov, Electron consortium JSC, Sofia, Bulgaria
Posted on June 27, 2016 at 10:52Hi All,I am new in BlueNrg but not in developing C and I want to work withNUCLEOF411 and BlueNrg IDB041A1 board. Unfortunately I use Linux and Idon't want to buy IAR system. First step: I tried to download demo (en.x-cube-ble1.zip). I wonder, there is no Makefile in it:(I found .bin and .hex files for demos, I can flash it, and it works well with BlueNrg Android application. Because there is no Makefile, I tried to find some infos and I found Carmine Noviello's site. I can compile and flash the sensordemo based on his tutorial, but it cannot works well. Sometimes it cannot starts:''Program received signal SIGTRAP, Trace/breakpoint trap.0x080015e2 in call_host (arg=0x2000ffac, reason=1) at ../system/include/arm/semihosting.h:8080 asm volatile (''sometimes it can enter on master loop, but it isn't visible for android software. I tried to switch on/off NEW_SERVICES switch too.It is very interesting, the original sensordemo he

Posted on June 06, 2016 at 21:12HelloI began to work with this module. It is necessary to make a page, at the entrance to which is: 1) Displays the value of several gpio. 2) it was possible to set the several gpio. What code (command) should I place on a page-that-be had made a request to the module?
Posted on June 09, 2016 at 08:03Hi,I'am interfacing SPIRIT RF transceiver and using 50 mhz clock crystal.May i know what all changes have to do to work with 50 Mhz clock?May i know MCU states for 50 MHz clock?(in data sheet i have found only for 52 mhz)Thanks.
Posted on June 06, 2016 at 13:49Hello! The spectrum of the signal in figure 4 or figure 5 (AN4103. Using the SPIRIT1 transceiver under EN 300 220 at 169 MHz) does not correspond to the real measurements. Quick on and off of the transmitter generates a lot of harmonics. The result is a bad signal spectrum. I tried to use the ramp feature but got no result. Tell me how to configure the transmitter, that would not have these outbursts? #rf-spectrum #spirit1
Posted on May 31, 2016 at 00:55Hello guys, i'm new in programming stm32f0. I have stm32f091rc and i want to interface uSD using SPI peripheral. first i used stm32cubemx to select the SPI1 peripheral and configured the clock. then i exported the generated HAL libraries to uVision IDE. but i don't know how to continue.I read that first i need to write i/o driver APIs then link these APIs with FATfsbut i wasn't able to find any example similar to my project (using HAL libraries- uVision and STM32F0)I coded the SPI transmit and receive functions in blocking mode. but what are the other functions to initialize the sd card and check it's status? and how can i use them with SPI and FatFs.Thanks in advance #stm32f0 #spi #stm32 #uvision #usd
Posted on May 31, 2016 at 13:08Hello,I bought some X-NUCLEO-IDS01A4 for evaluation of the SPSGRF-868 module. I am not really pleased with the results. So far the best range I could get was 175 m in the same conditions in which I got 150 m with a competitor's Bluetooth 4.0 module, ie outside with a clear line of sight.I am using the P2P demo software, with reduced datarate and FEC activated. Please see below the configuration pasted from the file spirit1_appli.h :<code>/*************************Uncomment the the protocol to be used****************///#define USE_STack_PROTOCOL#define USE_BASIC_PROTOCOL#if defined(USE_STack_PROTOCOL)#define USE_STack_LLP /*Uncomment if LLP featured need to be used*/#endif/******************************************************************************/#if defined(X_NUCLEO_IDS01A4) #define USE_SPIRIT1_868MHz#elif defined(X_NUCLEO_IDS01A5) #define USE_SPIRIT1_915MHz#else#error SPIR
Posted on May 30, 2016 at 17:58In the SPIRIT1 datasheet it says the SPIRIT1 can be used to provide a clock source for the MCU via a GPIO pin - such that the MCU does not need its own crystal oscillator. However as far as I can tell the default start up parameters for the SPIRIT1 do not output a clock signal to any of the GPIO pins. So how is the MCU supposed to start up if it is relying on the SPIRIT1 to provide an oscillator signal after a power up. How does this avoid having to have a separate MCU oscillator?
Posted on May 25, 2016 at 14:08 Hello, Please help to clarify the following... I would like to do script to merge image file with required ifr config. To check my tools I have used ''bluenrg_img_converter.exe'' converter provided ST. So I have found that this converter distorts four bytes of the original firmware (b'BLUE' -> b'FFFFFFFF'') because original image realy has 'BLUE' on this place. original image (bluenrg_7_1_e_Mode_2-32MHz-XO32K_4M.img) Could you explain this moment Regards, Andrei Kukenov bluenrg image bluenrg-ms
Posted on May 07, 2016 at 02:51Hello,I'm developing code for the BlueNRG-MS device, in a central role. I'm wondering what API allows me to retrieve the advertising devices name and the packet RSSI? I've initiated a discovery with aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc() and receive the EVT_LE_ADVERTISING_REPORT event, but its not clear how to retrieve the ''Device Name'' and RSSI.Thank you,Brent #ble #rssi #bluenrg-ms #bluenrg
Posted on May 24, 2016 at 10:30Hello everybody,I am designing a small stimulator that needs to wirelessly communicate, for research purposes, and I use the SPBT2632C2A for its low power capabilities and small size. There is a battery embedded but I want it to be as small as possible (for now 90mAh) and to last few weeks. My strategy is the following:I only need few exchange of data every 5 minutes, thus I use a power switch to remove the supply voltage from the device, and I switch it ON only when needed. But it leads to high current consumption during stratup (~30mA_rms during 2s) and then high current consumption during the sppconnect phase (~20mA_rms during 2.5s). Starting up the device every 5 minutes is still far better than keeping the device supplied all of the time (even with the LPO design that I use as advised in the datasheet for low power) because I measured the sleep mode current and it is far from consumming only 70µA as mentionned in the datasheet.Thus:- Would it be some
