There's no forum to report bugs on main st.com site.Breadcrumbs appear briefly when scrolling, but then they are overlapped by the "stuff" on top.The "modern" webdesign is a disaster.JW
Searching "st-link_cli" gives 137 results. Searching "st-link_cli linux" gives 4000 hits. "https://community.st.com/t5/community-guidelines/how-to-search/ta-p/575262" does not give a hint how to search for hits with hit for multiple keywords together. This is not helpful!
hi!I'm currently having trouble logging in and I'm investigating it now. The issue seems similar to the information found at the link below.Currently, the new account is logged in successfully.https://community.st.com/t5/feedback-forum/login-to-st-website-is-broken-for-some-global-locations/td-p/647095Due to the issues mentioned above, I have created a new account to leave this message.1. Due to the issues mentioned above, I have created a new account to leave this message.2. If you enter the password correctly, it reloads and prompts you to log in again.3. If you enter the password incorrectly, it sends null.4. The issue persists across both Chrome and Edge browsers, and it remains consistent across multiple computers.5. Even when prompted for a password, no email is received.6. Even when attempting to register with a duplicate ID, no email is received. What should I do...help me..from a user who has created a new account...
Hi everybody,I'm a PhD @Politecnico di Milano who received the free pass for the Embedded Word 24 from STMicroelectornics.I would like to inquire if there are any restrictions associated with this free ticket, such as limited access to certain sessions or parts of the conference, or if it grants full access equivalent to a regular ticket.Thank you in advance,Pietro
"... so a Support case was created in your name and will be handled off-line." These posts appear from time to time; eg, just now:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-boards-and-hardware/assistance-needed-powering-nucleo-u575-board-via-usb-c-from/m-p/653191/highlight/true#M17861by @Douglas MILLER May I ask what prompts this "needs a little more investigation" assessment ?
https://www.st.com/en/microcontrollers-microprocessors/stm32l4-plus-series/products.htmlIf I click on Overview or CAD Resources or Tools & Software tabs, the page reloads again into the Products tab.JW
Good day @ ST. How can one get in contact with the right person at ST, when we wish to know a little more about SOI ?Sincerely Klavs Rommedahl.
Who is he, and why does and can he accept solutions for my topics???https://community.st.com/t5/stm32cubemx-mcus/cubemx-does-not-export-adc-functions/m-p/614196#M2652(I had removed the solution, without thinking. I shouldnt have done this for others to see...)
The forum sends emails like this:It's good to remind people to mark the solution if there is one - but what if there isn't?What if the answer to that question is, "NO." ?See: Betteridge's law of headlines.Perhaps the email should include some tips on what to do next - and what not to do next; eg, just "bumping" the post ?
It's good that the source-code button is now more visible: https://community.st.com/t5/feedback-forum/formatting-code-should-be-easier/m-p/636842/highlight/true#M975 but that doesn't help with the vast majority of posters who don't even think about the need for such a thing: https://community.st.com/t5/feedback-forum/formatting-code-should-be-easier/m-p/632694/highlight/true#M950 This has been a perennial problem since the dawn of web forums - for over 20 years! Surely, by now, we should be able to have some AI or something to detect this ...
I have registered and validated my email, got as farr as choosing a password but then an error happened. Help please
Hi,How do I email STMicroelectronics the company? I have basically looked everywhere in their contact pages and found zero contact email addresses, where I can ask for their help in private, regarding product information. How can I proceed?
Hi,I am not able to send data/attachment with my messages. I see this: Instead of this:I tried different web browsers but no good.Any idea ?Thank youFerro
There's a lot of "information" posts appearing; eg,https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/how-to-obtain-and-use-the-stm32-96-bit-uid/ta-p/621443This is all very good & useful but, in the activity listing, they are indistinguishable from user questions:It would be useful if these were clearly differentiated.
As the title says, the ST "New Products" page lists some products that are not new at all and out of the scope of the timeframe set on the same page.Example:At the point of writing this forum entry, the page, while set to "1 Month", lists the "HCC4049UB" under "Space Products" and the "AVS08CB" under "Thyristors (SCR) and AC Switches".When checking with the waybackmachine, these products have been listed since at least april of 2021! The webpage description and layout implies it lists products that have been released in the selected timeframe, so products like above should certainly not be listed anymore.
When in post I highlight top line (or few top lines) usually by dragging from right to left (this may be important), and then copy to clipboard using Ctrl-C, clipboard contains also items above the text of the post, i.e. timestampt, title and avatar, even if they were not highlighted. For example, here, only one line of text is highlighted: yet copy/pasting results in : waclawek.jan Guru 2024-02-16 06:42 PM > The UART->RDR is 16-bit wide, which can be exploited to indicate what in the buffer is dirty vs clean. Hello everyone and speciallyone whocame up with this idea to insert text with Ctrl+V with this fffffffng boxIt wold be great if you doing plane text insert without this _tupidboxwhen pressed Ctrl+vHave a nice time, ST teamand this message I had:"Your post has been changed because invalid HTML was found in the message body. The invalid HTML has been removed. Please review the message and submit the message when you are satisfied."This is much too clever

i.e. title only, and as many threads per page as we've set up for the forum itself? There's really no reason to make it different, and as it is now, it's similarly unwieldy to read/follow/investigate as the forum was before. Thanks,JW

The "Copy to Clipboard" button is good to have, I guess, but in its current implementation you can't see what code is behind the button. Make it smaller, make it stay in the same position on a scroll, or something else so text can be seen. In contrast, the View More button is a great addition. More good features like that please.
Getting AI-generated responses from a variety of prompts is more accessible than ever. The accessibility and ease-of-use have also impacted the ST Community, as we have observed posts predominantly generated by AI. These guidelines are written to provide you with our current stance on generative AI. The ST Community does not allow the usage of generative AI to predominantly generate posts and replies. We depend on and trust our community users to provide original, verified replies and solutions (see ST Community Terms and Conditions, article 3.6.1, section h.)Generative AI cannot ensure a legitimate and factual answer, even though the presentation, language, and formatting may seem appealing and legitimate. This is also known as a “hallucination” meaning that the response seems coherent, but the actual content is not factual. In some cases, responses provided by generative AI can be harmful and unsafe. Therefore, the consequence of using generative AI is considered a deficit in the leg
It seems that they do mean what they say; eg, "a week ago" does mean posts 7 days old (or more?)But this seems a rather useless filter?Surely, more useful is "within the last 7 days", "within the last month", etc?In other words, "not older than 1 week", "not older than 1 month", etc.As in, searching for stuff where "I know I saw this recently - not more than a week ago". Can we at least have these added? And there really needs to be something between "a month" and "a year" - at least "a quarter" (3 months) and "half a year" ? Or just let us enter a date range
