We are building a customized board with processor STM32MP157AAD3 and DDR3 of 1GB. I am able to download the source for STM32MP157 from the STM website, and I am not sure with what DDR configuration it has been done.So how to set ddr configuration of 1 GB in the BSP ?Regards, Nitish
Is STM32MP157C source code support for STM32MP151A processor , if so please provide appropriate link .Thanks,Nitish
Hi everyone, I'm trying to carry the first tests on our STM32MPU157A-EV1 based board but it automatically turns itself off after 17 seconds, what could be the cause of that?It actually allows me to start the SD card flashing process as stated here in step 6:https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157x-EV1/Let%27s_start/Populate_the_target_and_boot_the_imageHowever, as it always turns itself off after 17s of being powered, it can never finish the process. Here's a log of the process: ------------------------------------------------------------------- STM32CubeProgrammer v2.1.0 ------------------------------------------------------------------- USB speed : High Speed (480MBit/s) Manuf. ID : STMicroelectronics Product ID : DFU in HS Mode @Device ID /0x500, @Revision ID /0x0000 SN : 000000000000 FW version : 0x011a Device ID : 0x0500 Device name : STM32MPxxx Device type : MPU Device CPU : Cortex-A7 Start Embedded Flashin
I've been using some of the routines (numerical integration of ODEs using B-S routine with polynomial extrapolation) for years on Microsoft C++, with great success. However, when I even include the nr.h file, I get errors saying that "template" is an unknown type. Suggestions?
cmd usedapt-get install python3-pip
I've just receive an info about STM32MP1 & Linux hands-on workshop. Once again, there is no location at Poland. Is there any plans to organize this kind of workshop in the nearest future in Warsaw or any other city of Poland?
Forgive my ignorance, but could anyone recommend an IDE which can interface with STM32MP157C-DK2 and allow to write, compile, upload and debug both Linux application code and M4 code on the chip? Something which does not cost around $500 per month would be awesome. Thanks a lot for your input!

Hi everyone, I designed a custom board . It use 24MHz crystal instead of oscillator with stm32mp157. Now, I follow the wiki page to modify the clk_hse with "st,bypass;" in file arch/arm/dts/stm32mp157a-dk1-u-boot.dtsi .But the board always can not boot up. Did I missing something? The wiki page that I referenced. https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Clock_device_tree_configuration_-_Bootloader_specific
I have this problem on win10 and ArchLinux. On-board st-link can't find Cortex-A and Cortex-M core.ArchLinux dmesg log:New USB device found, idVendor=0483, idProduct=3752, bcdDevice= 1.00 New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3 Product: STM32 STLink Manufacturer: STMicroelectronics SerialNumber: 066DFF303739465043114138STM32CubeProgrammer(v2.1.0) can't find st-link. ST-LINK Utility (v4.4.0) find st-link, but not find target (Detection Fail).I installed STSW-LINK009 driver (win10) and rules on Archlinux. Firmware version on-board st-link: V2.J32.M22
Hi Sir,I am planning to use ST Micro-controllers STM32MP157C-DK2 for one of my project. But i need to know - 1. From where i can get Android BSP and all its related documents ? 2. What Android Version do you support ? 3. From where i can download the Android BSP ?4. Is there any onchip eMMC flash memory or any other on-chip flash memory is available ? 5. please provide us more technical documents and user guide from where we can get all these informations.
What is the issue with the STM32MP157C-DK2 launch?I try to get this board for quite some time now.The supplier (farnell) has it on stock, but they say that they can't deliver because some paperwork is missing... it requires US re export license CCATS.I try to buy this from th EU(Ro), isn't ST a European company, why **** an US export license is needed, and why is this not available?
trying to follow the section 4 Dynamic system resource update service ( https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Resource_manager_for_coprocessing#System_resource_configuration_set_service )and its example 4.3.2 Firmware update on the Cortex-M4 context (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_configure_system_resources#Firmware_update_on_the_Cortex-M4_context ) dev stm32mpu157c dk21) Resource manager is part of the utility and any application that is run on M4 are separate. how do i merge the services together?2) Is resource manager only needed to build the device tree configuration for configuring peripheral to particular core or to be included as a part of application too?3) For a given sample image , is it possible to get to know which peripheral is assigned to which core?
I test the prebuilt image on dk2 board. Sometimes the GUI application on MIPI LCD, and other time on HDMI. I checked the datasheet, HDMI and MIPI use same LTDC conctoller. So I am confused, Does it support same time display on HDMI and MIPI? If doesn't support, how to switch HDMI and MIPI ?
Hello,I am trying to generate my own image Distribution package for my DK2 board. How to assign hardware cryp1/hash1 to A7 kernel?Do I need to modify some .dts files? Or do I have to enable some options in menu config?Give me please step-by-step recomendations if it is possible.Thank you.
Our first series of microprocessors (MPU), the STM32MP1, is now out! The series is the first heterogeneous system architecture (HSA) that takes basis in one or two Cortex-A7 alongside a Cortex-M4, thus inaugurating the use of a Cortex-A in an STM32 product. The single or dual Cortex-A7 cores are dedicated to open-source operating systems while the Cortex-M4 core is dedicated to real-time and low-power tasks.Utilizing STM32 MCU software and tools The groundbreaking component enables developers to use the same software as STM32 MCUs and our popular development tools to work on real-time code. The release of OpenSTLinux Distribution, a mainlined open-source Linux distribution is a key element of the solution. OpenSTLinux Distribution is reviewed and accepted by the Linux community (Linux Foundation, Yocto project and Linaro) and is pre-integrated with OP-TEE secure OS. It contains all the essential building blocks for running software on the application-processor cores.’Enhan

Hi, everyone, I use STM32MP157C-DK2 on my macos(Mojave) laptop. I saw other threads the stlink can not install some driver on macos. but I can not see any /dev/tty.* device, Does I missing some config thing?
Is the USB controller in MP chips same as in F7 (Tensilica) or compatible?Does it support connection of devices thru a full speed hub?Does it support OTG mode? Thanks,Pavel A.
I can't access the information on how to install the SDK "Install the SDK" step for the STM32MP157C-DK2> Develop on Arm Cortex-A7 page, can anyone help me?Every time I click on "Install the SDK" I get sent to "Permission error" page where it says: Permission errorYou do not have permission to read this page, for the following reason:You are not allowed to execute the action you have requestedHow can I access the info on how to install the SDK?Link: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Getting_started/STM32MP1_boards/STM32MP157C-DK2/Develop_on_Arm®_Cortex®-A7/Install_the_SDK
Hi,I start working with the new STM32MP157C-DK2 board and after testing the demo i restart from the bottom, compiling just uboot+SPL (no TF-A). I compiled with the last Linaro toolchain 'gcc-linaro-7.4.1-2019.02-x86_64_arm-linux-gnueabihf' and prepared the sd card with minimum just to boot (fsbl1 - fsbl2 -sspl partitions). All works fine: i reach the u-boot command line with no errors. Now i'm trying to debug the SPL: i'v never debugged a MPU and i wonna be sure i'm able to do this when i'll work on my own hardware. I follow the guide https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/GDB and i successfully connect the debugger, set some breakpoints (ex. on spl_init function) and contine throuth them. Despite all is very slow (it takes nearly 5s to continue until a break just in the next line) it seams to work. Grate !Problems starts when i try stepping: it doesn't work and i recieve a "timeout waiting for target halt" error.I bypassed gdb and i connect directly to the openocd Telnet server on localhost:
Hello, all!I'm looking into the STM32MP15 family. It seems to offer me everything I need, but I'm not sure about consumption, and can't understand the data sheet fully in this regard. For minimal consumption that will still allow the MPU to continue working normally (without boot) after wake, it seems I need the standby with RAM retention.1. Is this really the most efficient mode for this?2. What is the consumption in this mode, in a way that will allow it to be woken by RTC and pin interrupt? It seems it's 90uA, but I'm not sure.3. How long does waking from standby mode take?4. Does waking from standby mode allow the MPU yo continue working as if after sleep, with all volatile memory data it had previously? Thanks!
Hello, I'm testing the st-example-image-qt, but when I launch the Qt examples works extremely slow, looks like Qt doesn't use the hardware acceleration.Any clue about it?Best RegardsEduard
Inorder to build a developer package, i am following the link : https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/STM32MP1_Developer_PackageI am not able to apply the patch to the linux kernel. when i try to apply patches the terminal is stuckSTM32MP157c-DK2
