Hi all,I understand that it is possible to interface a CSI2 camera sensor with the camera interface of STM32MP1 using STMIPID02 chipset. Even-though this later support 2 cameras, I'd like to know that it is feasible from the MPU's point of view ?Thanks in advance,Khang

I'd like to connect one USB port to the RTOS, running on the Cortex-M4. According CubeMX this is not possible (no square availble to tick). Is this really not possible?According the datasheet (DS12505 Rev3, page 19, 'Block Diagram'):USBH is connected to AXIM bus, but the corresponding arrow is blue (= AHB ).The USB OTG I can not find there.According same datasheet (page 36, 'Bus Matirx'):USBH is connected to AXIMUSBO is connected to MLAHBThis is not clear to me.Denise
Hi,In order to compile c-project directly on STM32MP157C-DK2 I've installed GCC 8.2.0 on the board but cannot manage installing libc6-dev library (or any other suitable one).Could you please help me to figure out the proper way how to do?For now I'm getting the following message when trying to do via apt-get.Package libc6-dev is not available, but is referred to by another package. This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, oris only available from another source.Kind regards,Alexander Iotko
Hello,I have followed this link: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/X-LINUX-AI-CV_OpenSTLinux_expansion_package and successfully flashed STM32MP157c-dk2 device with AI OpenCV image. Now, I am trying to install python package scipy on the device. But it throws error that "unable to execute arm-openstlinux_wetson-linux-gnueabi-gcc: No such file or directory" and "error: command arm-openstlinux_wetson-linux-gnueabi-gcc failed with exit status 1"Could you please guide me? How can I install a python package on a device once the device is booted with AI OpenCV package.Thanking you,Saurabh

I have seen some stm32mp157 boards from third parties do have a backup 3VDC battery attached to their RTCs, so it won't lose the time when powered off. Is there any way to connect a backup battery to the RTC circuit on the stm32mp157c-dk2 board?-albertr
I need to customize the TF-A en.SOURCES-tf-a-stm32mp1-openstlinux-4.19-thud-mp1-19-10-09.tar.xzOur custom board have a different pin selection for UART4 debug as you can see below, the UART4_TX pin is not on the STM32_PINMUX('G', 11, AF6), but is on the STM32_PINMUX('A', 0, AF8). Our expectations were to have the system booting simply changing the line below in the file fdts/stm32mp157-pinctrl.dtsi uart4_pins_a: uart4@0 { pins1 { - pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('G', 11, AF6)>; /* UART4_TX STM32MP157C-DK2 */ + pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('A', 0, AF8)>; /* UART4_TX CUSTOM*/ bias-disable; drive-push-pull; slew-rate = <0>; };However I see that in plat/st/stm32mp1/stm32mp1_helper.S there is a func plat_crash_console_init who wants to use #define GPIO_TX_SHIFT (DEBUG_UART_TX_GPIO_PORT << 1) #define GPIO_TX_ALT_SHIFT ((DEBUG_UART_TX_GPIO_PORT - GPIO_ALT_LOWER_LIMIT) << 2)Those macros come from plat/st/stm32mp1/stm32mp1_def.h where I have /* For UART crash consol
On most cases the script "create_sdcard_from_flashlayout.sh" futile. Built-in card reader today is preliminary remains on notebooks. As result very often a sd-card used over a usb adapter. On a remote virtual machines always it will be used over a card reader. What do you do to resolve the problem? Or STM32CubeProgrammer solves the problem?
Hi all,i want to use some hardware peripherals in OP-TEE. I got the GPIO driver (stm32_gpio in core/drivers) to work with my PTA (Pseudo Trusted Application). I now wanna use the I2C peripheral using the stm32_i2c driver.I coundn't find any example code (for the GPIO neither), is there somewhere an example of how to use the drivers from a PTA?EDIT: I was able to configure the I2C peripheral with the driver, i missed the GPIO configuration. Some documentation of the OP-TEE drivers would be a nice feature for the future nevertheless =)
We brought stm32Mp157C-DK2 board for our prototype testing. I can able to work on the A7 and M4 also ran examples. After 3 days of our work the Ethernet communication is not working. The LED's on the connector is not glowing. I check in Linux terminal with dmesg there is no controller detection . When I reboot the system and check the initial dmesg the output is like this on my linux host sytem using minicom: root@stm32mp1:~# dmesg | grep eth[ 0.000000] psci: probing for conduit method from DT.[ 1.575436] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: PTP uses main clock[ 1.579819] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: no reset control found[ 1.586023] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: No phy clock provided...[ 1.601232] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: User ID: 0x40, Synopsys ID: 0x42[ 1.606799] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: DWMAC4/5[ 1.611707] stm32-dwmac 5800a000.ethernet: DMA HW capability register supported[ 1
How can I make these LEDs work on stm32mp157-dk2 board? Ethernet interface is working fine, but both link and activity LEDs are always OFF. I need to have a visual confirmation that Ethernet has some TX/RX activity and thus need these LEDs working. Anyone got an idea?-albertr
I use the UART4 like the following initialization.void uart4_configuration(void) { GPIO_InitTypeDef GPIO_InitStructure; USART_InitTypeDef USART_InitStructure; /* enable usart clock */ RCC_APB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_APB1Periph_UART4, ENABLE); RCC_AHB1PeriphClockCmd(RCC_AHB1Periph_GPIOC, ENABLE); // Configure USART Tx as alternate function GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_OType = GPIO_OType_PP; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_PuPd = GPIO_PuPd_UP; //GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_PuPd = GPIO_PuPd_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_AF; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Pin = RS485AXM_TX_PIN; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Speed = GPIO_Speed_50MHz; GPIO_Init(RS485AXM_COM_PORT, &GPIO_InitStructure); // Configure USART Rx as alternate function GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_OType = GPIO_OType_PP; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_PuPd = GPIO_PuPd_DOWN; //GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_PuPd = GPIO_PuPd_NOPULL; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Mode = GPIO_Mode_AF; GPIO_InitStructure.GPIO_Pin = RS485AX
Hi, I loaded Linux start image to DK 2 eval board and it boots ok if it connected to serial terminal on PC (TeraTerm, etc). When terminal is not running or cable is not connected it won't boot. Can I disable that without rebuilding Bootloader/Linux ?Thanks.
I'm referring to the following website.https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/index.php/STM32MP1_Distribution_PackageI stumbled on "6 Building the OpenSTLinux distribution".Error occurred in bitbake.I attach the log.Could you tell me the cause of the error?Best Regards,Osamu Murakami
Hi,I'm looking for the simplest way how to gather data from SensorTile board(s) on STM32MP157C-DK2via Bluetooth.Could you please help me to find some examples?Ideally it'd be nice to do it directly on Cortex-A7, e.g. by adapting/making running on STLinux the python scripts.https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/BlueSTSDK_Python/blob/master/README.mdAs an alternative (if easier) that's also fine to do it on Cortex-M4. Anyway, I have firmware running there which can just "forward" the gathered data to A7.BTW: as I've found in the post, STMicroelectronics is working on the feature to install python packages via apt-get in 2020.Do you know when it's going to be implemented and whether it's possible to join beta-testing of the feature.I'd be really thankful for it :-).https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BmnKOVSQ2/how-to-install-python-package-on-stm32mp157cdk2Thank you!Kind regards, Alexander Iotko
Hi,we're thinking about using the STM32MP157 in a product. However, there's still something unclear to us.We need to connect it to a display which only supports the 16-bit Intel 8080 bus (so LTDC cannot be used). I read that it's possible to emulate its graphics memory via FMC. Our plan was to let the GPU write directly to FMC so that no DMA intervention will be neccessary and no extra frame buffer needs to be allocated. Unfortunately, there's not much documentation on the 3D GPU.So our questions are: Can the GPU output pixel data directly to FMC? How does the pixel data format look like? Also important to us: Can Android run on both CA7's or is it only possible to run a TEE OS on the secure core? And would it be possible to run CM4 either completely independent or split (custom code + Android communication)? Thanks in advance,Alex
HI all,I am using an STM32MP15-EV1 eval board and will connect an external amplifier to the HEADSET output. I would like this amplifier to be automatically switched on / off when sound is being played. If I am correct this is supported in the audio-graph-card machine driver via the pa-gpios property. However I cannot make this work. I am adding the following in the DT: sound { pa-gpios = <&gpioa 13 GPIO_ACTIVE_LOW>; };What else needs to be done? Thanks,Guillermo
I’m getting a build error when attempting to build the linux kernel.ERROR:scripts/extract-cert.c:21:10: fatal error: openssl/bio.h: No such file or directory #include <openssl/bio.h>I have followed instructions from https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/Modify,_rebuild_and_reload_the_Linux%C2%AE_kerneland README.HOW_TO.txtGet same error when following either document. I don’t see “openssl? included in the kernel source. Any suggestion on how to fix this? Thanks in advance.
Hi,I need an examples on LCD and USB driver without Linux pleaseThe en.stm32cubemp1_v1-1-0 do not have it, and the STM32CubeMX do not allow this mode.Thanks.Mohammad
Most of the DSI pin mapping is same as ST's DK2 board except DSI_RESET and DSI_TE. I updated the DSI_RESET pin mapping in the device tree to reflect actual connections. However, Weston Wayland compositor fails to start even when DSI display is not connected. Does weston have any other GPIO dependencies? I'm working on a design with the STM32MP153 and came across the additional function of PA13 as BOOTFAILN.I can guess what this means but I can't find any documentation on the subject. Don't know when or why this pin gets active. Or is it an input? In the reference design schematics both a LED and a switch are connected to this pin. Thanks for any insight.
We have build a device that looks like DK2 but we have a NAND memory instead of SD card and we work on an IO supply of 1.8V instead of 3.3V. We can load the fsbl and U-Boot with STM32cubeprogrammer, but U-Boot resets the usb and the STM32cubeprogrammer can never reconnect. The board is not enumerated the second time. How can we debug that? What could be the cause?
