Hi,Our goal is to make FIP redundant. We are using RAUC mechanism to update TF-A and FIP. Manually, using `rauc install` CLI tool, I am able to update both TF-A and FIP. If I reboot the system, new TF-A and new FIP is loaded. However, when I created a rauc bundle for either fip or tfa that has corrupted fip and tfa binaries and updated it in the HW, system crashed on reboot. It didn't go on to boot from other tfa or fip partition. If there is any defined mechanism to make FIP redundant in ST infrastructure? Thanks~Umar
Hello everyone,I have the stm32mp157c-dk2 for performance evaluations. Our goal is to check if the CPU/GPU performance is good enough for our next productm which will be used as a GUI frontend.I built the openstlinux (mickledore) as-is from github successfully. Now, I want to customize the image for our needs. As far as I see, Uboot and TF-A are not really optional, so they should be included in the project. We do not need any "trusted" mechanisms in our project. My goal would be, building an image without optee and using the "optee-core", which is currently used by optee, under linux, thus making a dual-core linux system. The machine configuration defines here:BOOTSCHEME_LABELS += "optee"At least in the configurations of uboot and tf-a optee doesn't seem to evaluate this option, uboot takes hard-coded in the default config optee as enabled. My questions:Is it possible to build without optee ?If yes, is the "optee core" usable from kernel as "multicore" system ?If yes, is it just enou
Hi,I want to configure the LED7 of stm32mp157f-dk2, in arc/arm/boot/dts folder there are stm32mp157f-dk2.dts and stm32mp157f-dk2.dtb file, I cannot edit .dts file since it appears as an audio file and not the text file.so I edited the stm32mp15xx-dxx.dtsi file, to add PH7 pin of LED7 as belowled {compatible = "gpio-leds";led-blue {label = "heartbeat";gpios = <&gpiod 11 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;linux,default-trigger = "heartbeat";default-state = "off";};led-orange {label = "None";gpios = <&gpioh 7 GPIO_ACTIVE_HIGH>;linux,default-trigger = "none";default-state = "off";};};How can i get the updated .dtb file.?After getting the updated .dtb file just replacing the .dtb file in board is enough? Kindly help me as i am new to this MPU.
On a proprietary board based on STM32MP157AAA, code was created on the M4 core for reading 11 analog gates managed in DMA (end of sequence interrupt) of ADC1 and ADC2 in independent mode with conversion start via software executed cyclically. The adc values obtained are then passed to the control loop through the command port implemented on /dev/ttyRPMSG0 to the A7NS core where an application runs. Furthermore, a second virtual port (/dev/ttyRPMSG1) was used to trace the execution of the code on M4. The Start/Stop of the M4 firmware occurs via a script that uses remoteproc linux A7 "Non Secured". Hi!I am using the stm32mp157C-DK2 board to communicate via FDCAN and my idea is to use it as normal mode to send and receive CAN messages. For this I have created a program in stm32cubeide and I enable FDCAN1 with the following parameters (125Kb/s): hfdcan1.Instance = FDCAN1; hfdcan1.Init.FrameFormat = FDCAN_FRAME_CLASSIC; hfdcan1.Init.Mode = FDCAN_MODE_NORMAL; hfdcan1.Init.AutoRetransmission = ENABLE; hfdcan1.Init.TransmitPause = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.ProtocolException = DISABLE; hfdcan1.Init.NominalPrescaler = 8; hfdcan1.Init.NominalSyncJumpWidth = 3; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg1 = 20; hfdcan1.Init.NominalTimeSeg2 = 3; hfdcan1.Init.DataPrescaler = 16; hfdcan1.Init.DataSyncJumpWidth = 6; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg1 = 5; hfdcan1.Init.DataTimeSeg2 = 6; hfdcan1.Init.MessageRAMOffset = 0; hfdcan1.Init.StdFiltersNbr = 1; hfdcan1.Init.ExtFiltersNbr = 0; hfdcan1.Init.RxFifo0ElmtsNbr = 1; hfdcan1.Init
hi, i am doing a project related to fdcan on m4 kernel of stm32mp157d-dk1, i have configured it like the tutorial video on youtube of stm32 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGRvVKfs2-0&ab_channel= STMicroelectronics, but they don't work, please help me, thank you
Hello, currently, I'm in the production phase of my product which is based on stm32mp153. Unfortunately, I have a huge problem with setting the password for root.First I commented debug-tweks in local.conf.I added INHERIT += "extrausers" EXTRA_USERS_PARAMS = " \ usermod -p '$5$otifn3fxcID0nu0c$QUDR.mLMbgEgl26XPEX6Rm6ASUB0ab8UFtQHdoEOBt4' root; \ " hashed or not based password but I can't login into root using ssh. Then I discovered that I could still log in through the serial console without providing anything. I found and commented 'serial-getty@.service'line ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty -8 --autologin root -L --keep-baud %I @BAUDRATE@ $TERM to ExecStart=-/sbin/agetty -8 -L --keep-baud %I @BAUDRATE@ $TERM Additionally, I updated sshd_config file line PermitRootLogin prohibit-password toPermitRootLogin yes And finally, the result is that I can't log in via serial and ssh.I read some issues from the linkhttps://community.st.com/t5
@hello, I was using STM32Cubeprogrammer for long time but suddenly Its main function of browsing and selection file option (OpenFile) stopped working. After multiple time install and uninstall it has the same behavior in a particular PC. I tried older versions & both 32bit-64bit variants but no luck.
Hi,First of all, I am sure I am completely overlooking something, but I can´t seem to figure this out:In CubeIDE I added the FDCAN1 peripheral for my STM32MP157D-DK1 board. I then added the device tree to the build. However, when the board has booted up, and I type: dmesg | grep m_can, I get the message:m_can_platform 4400e000.can: no clock foundIt therefore seems that no clock has been enabled for this peripheral. How can I enable the clock? Thanks!Michel
Hi, I have a custom board with a stm32mp153. I was able to get past the trusted bootloader and into optee. It builds the mmu map and then panics when checking it. I am able to partially step through building the table and the memory starts to get corrupted but I can't see why. I also have a 157-ev which works fine when I build for that on the same dev machine. I am looking for possible clues on where to go from here.
I am testing our custom board with stm32mp153a and I have customized the DDR utility so that the uart and pmic work. I have used the RAM timings from cubemx that kind of work with TF-a. I have the PLL2 values that also work with TF-a. I get a DDR Initialization KO. Looking deeper into it, it dies when trying to turn on the DDR clock. One thing I noticed is that the code is hard coded to use HSE when this design uses HSI for the DDR clock. If I change it to HSI the utility gets stuck trying to print anything to UART.
I can not find any 8 gigabit memory for the STM32MP157CAA3 What I have found is double the price of the processor! IS46TR16512BL ISSI and Micron ECF840AAACN-C1-Y3I was looking for 256X32 memory but gave up, found some 512X16 but this puts the the cost three times the napkin estimate, instead of $10 for memory it is $30, and that's if it is available !
Hello,I am working on a custom board based on STM32MP157A . For USBPHYC i am referring the driver from Linux(V5.13) and some of the registers like STM32_USBPHYC_MONITOR mentioned in the driver file are missing in the reference manual (RM0436).So i just wanted to know is it the only register missing in the reference manual (or) are there any other registers missing .If yes, could you help me in finding those registers with their offset addresses and their functionality or suggest me the actual reference manual. please find the below attached link for the driver file i am using : https://elixir.bootlin.com/linux/v5.13/source/drivers/phy/st/phy-stm32-usbphyc.c Thanks&Regards,Srikanth.

Hello everyone, we have designed a custom stm32mp157f based board, trying to bring it up. I can get past the first stage boot loader and quite deep into OPTEE boot. The boot stops when OPTEE panics at ETZPC Probe (see below). If I disable the ETZPC in the device tree, the system hangs after displaying DT file name, with a message "DTB Disables Console". Any hints where to go from there are appreciated ! Hello,I am working on a custom board based on STM32MP157A and I am getting all the bits correctly but getting values at reserved bits in USBPHYC version register (Internal) which are supposed to be reserved as per the reference manual.Below mentioned screenshots contains :1.Register from reference manual:2.Below attached image contains values I am getting when reading the register: And I am confused on how to move forward with usbphy.I hope someone could help me with the problemThanks&RegardsSrikanth
All,I am currently working on a project using the STM32MP157C-DK2 Board.I am implementing the intra-processor communication using the OpenAMP lib.I am using the STM32CubeMX tool to pre-generate the project for the cortex-M.However, I can't find the setting to enable the virtual uart driver. As a result, each time I generate source code with the CubeMX tool, the openamp_conf.h file gets overwriting and so does the VIRTUAL_UART_MODULE_ENABLED macro. That's very annoying and frustrating because the OpenAMP_FreeRTOS_echo_CM4 demo project looks like having been generated with CubeMX and does have the virtual uart enable.I would expect to find such setting in the Middleware and Software Packs tab under OpenAMP or under the Connectivity tab in CubeMX, but it looks like it isn't there. Can someone enlighten me on how to do such a thing? Thanks in advance, Regards
Hi Team,We use STM32MP13x with Murata 2BC (CYW4373 chipset). Please let me know if WPA3 enterprise (especially 192 bit security) is supported by STM32MP1 Linux driver for Murata 2BC(CYW4373 chipset). Best Regards,Tsutsumi
Hi Team, I am new to STM32MP133CAF3 processor. I want to configure two gpio's as outputs in my Device tree source file. My pin numbers- > PE5 -> high & output_1-> PB0 -> high & output_2 These two pins I want to configure it. Could you please help me on this. Regards,
I have tried to download the driver for VL53L5CX from this location, but there is nothing in this section.https://www.st.com/en/embedded-software/stsw-img025.htmlCould You please direct me to the location with the driver for VL53L5CX?Could I still use the driver which already exists in Linux, that is vl53l0x-i2c.c for VL53L5CX, or it hast be explicitly VL53L5CX?Best regards,Goran
Not sure where to put it so I'll put it here. It looks like the "Perform an SSH Connection" document is out of date (unless this is referring to another process). According to the page, you SSH with:ssh root@10.48.1.172https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_perform_ssh_connectionIt looks like it's changed so now you SSH with:ssh root@192.168.7.1Not sure if it helps but thought I'd throw it out there all the same
Hi, On STM32MP1, what is voltage threshold for boot pins to be detected as 0 and 1 in digital? Will 0.61V be detected as 0? I research seem under 1.23V will be 0 and start from 1.88 or higher will be detected as 1 (if VDD = 3.3) but I am not sure this is applied for all STM32 or not. Many thanks.
