I'm using STM32MP157F-DK2 with the distribution package and x-linux-qt to build the st-image-qt image. So far I've been able to work with this image and my custom recipe in the target. Now, I've been trying to add UART5 support using CubeMX tool.I followed the tutorial on: https://wiki.st.com/stm32mpu/wiki/How_to_create_your_own_machine1. In cubemx my project name is "demo-dts" and inside meta-st-stm32mp-addons layer, I created a "mx" folder.2. From cubemx I browsed to this folder and generated the code. Here's the folder structure after generating the codemeta-st-stm32mp-addons/mx/demo-dts Inside demo-dts -> CA7 CM4 Common demo-dts.ioc Drivers EWARM Middlewares3. Inside conf/machine I created stm32mp1-demo-dts.conf and added:CUBEMX_DTB = "stm32mp157f-demo-dts-mx" CUBEMX_PROJECT ="mx/demo-dts/CA7/DeviceTree/demo-dts"4. I created a new build environment with:DISTRO=openstlinux-weston MACHINE=stm32mp15-mx BSP_DEPENDENCY="layers/meta-qt6 layers/meta-st/meta-st-x-linux-qt" source layers/
Hi,I have to use OpenStLinux 3.0 Developer SDK for my project.I am using stm32cubemx 6.3.0 to generate the project files.I then use Stm32cubeide 1.16.1 to import the project.I was able to specify the location of the installed Developer SDK package 3.0.However, when I proceed to install the OpenStLinux 3.0 source codes plugin, the IDE will just crush!!!!Just to confirm, I read on the wiki that Stm32cubeIDE 1.16.1 will import and support Developer SDK package 3.0.Anyone can help? Thanks
Are you planning to add Bare Metal mode for STM32MP15x to CubeIde?For the STM32MP13x series, it is present.
I have been using 1.16 workspace on cube IDE but today upon opening, the convert to C++ option was missing.I have tried updating to 1.17 but no help.Any Ideas?

Hii,I want to add some files in the home/root/ folder and some services which have executable permission in /etc/systemd/system I have built the distribution package and i want to add these files in the image so when I flash my device it have these files in predefined locations. Is there any way after the image is generated or during the build process?
HelloWe have a few questions regarding LPDDR4 memory configurations, and we would appreciate your inputs:What is the maximum capacity of an LPDDR4 memory module with a dual-channel, single-rank (1-Die) configuration, where each channel is 16 bits?Does LPDDR4 support a single-channel, dual-rank configuration, and if so, what is the maximum capacity for such a setup? For context, we are considering using dual-channel, single-rank (1-Die) modules with 1G x 32 devices, and I would like to confirm the total capacity possible with this configuration.Looking forward to your response. Thanks & RegardsAkshitha Pattem
Hello,I am trying to perform a bitbake build using micledore openstlinux weston on my STM32MP1 platform. During the final stages of the build, I am encountering an error related to wireplumber that stops the process. Here are the details of the error:ninja: build stopped: subcommand failed.INFO: autodetecting backend as ninjaINFO: calculating backend command to run: /home/futura/Swaroop/STM32MPU_workspace/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/cortexa7t2hf-neon-vfpv4-ostl-linux-gnueabi/wireplumber/0.4.17-r0/recipe-sysroot-native/usr/bin/ninja -j 8 -vWARNING: exit code 1 from a shell command. At the end of the build, I get this error:ERROR: wireplumber-0.4.17-r0 do_compile: ExecutionError('/home/futura/Swaroop/STM32MPU_workspace/Distribution-Package/build-openstlinuxweston-stm32mp1/tmp-glibc/work/cortexa7t2hf-neon-vfpv4-ostl-linux-gnueabi/wireplumber/0.4.17-r0/temp/run.do_compile.12651', 1, None, None)ERROR: Logfile of failure stored in: /home/futura/Swaroop/
Hi All,I created dts and defconfig patches for u-boot but when I checked the nodes with dm treecommand video and backlight not probed, can anyone help?Regards
I created a custom linux image for this target using the distribution package + x-linux-qt and the image "st-image-qt". This image is working correctly on my target. Now, I want to add UART5 and UART4 to receive data over those 2 serial ports. As far as I understand, I need to add something like this in the DTS &usart4 { pinctrl-names = "default", "sleep", "idle";/* pin configurations definition */ pinctrl-0 = <&usart4_pins_a>; /* default pin configuration selection */ pinctrl-1 = <&usart4_sleep_pins_a>; /* sleep pin configuration selection */ pinctrl-2 = <&usart4_idle_pins_a>; /* idle pin configuration selection */ status = "okay"; }; and something like this in the DTSI usart3_pins_a: usart3-0 { pins1 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('B', 10, AF7)>, /* USART3_TX */ <STM32_PINMUX('G', 8, AF8)>; /* USART3_RTS */ bias-disable; drive-push-pull; slew-rate = <0>; }; pins2 { pinmux = <STM32_PINMUX('B', 1
i used stm32cubeMX to generate code to support GPIO external interrupts.i expected to use HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback and it compiled but did not work.i had to use HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Falling_Callback and HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Rising_Callbacki used a Nucleo-U5a5ZJ board.cubeMX 6.12.1cubeIDE 1.16.1does anyone know why HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback does not work?I noticed that HAL_GPIO_EXTI_Callback was not in the stm32u5xx_hal_gpio.h filethanksphil
Good morning, everyone,I am working on a board that mounts STM32FMP25x, with Yocto, and I am having problems with the kernel logo.I've enabled and customized the pslash-drm image and that works (it would be curious to understand why it has to be 1 px narrower and 1 px shorter than the screen resolution but that's another task).Problem: the boot is really slow and I need something to appear on the screen before the 20'' needed for the psplash-drm to appear.I am not a great expert, but from what I remember of Yocto, and the Linux kernel, it should also be possible to make a kernel logo appear (so I have done with all the platforms I have worked on in the past). In the .config of my kernel the CONFIG_LOGO_LINUX_CLUT224=y entry is set correctly, but unfortunately I don't see anything on the screen.I do not understand if and what I am doing wrong.I have not customized the image yet so the problem should not be about the image format.Do you have any advice?I thank you very much in advance.&nb
Hi, I have a Stm32Mp157a-DK1 board. When I try to used it with the latest Stm32CubeIDE, I notice board selector is no longer supporting for this, is there any work around? Thanks
Hi,I am using my custom board based on stm32mp1, and I want it boot silently, including tf-a, optee, uboot and kernel. I don't need debug message from uart console anymore.I want to have it done in Yocto, is it possible? Thanks
Hi All,I have custom phycore stm32mp13 based carrier board and i want to create uboot splash screen, so i created u-boot patches and .cfg file for uboot on my own layer, but when I test no image or backlight. Can anyone check my patches and cfg file and help? Also can I use the lcdputs command to test the LCD? Regards
Hello i have STM32MP157 board with A7 and M4 processors, i am trying to setup OpenAMP which works when i use the OpenAMP_TTY_echoBut when i try to create a new project from:SMT32Cube IDE 1.16.0 versionSTM32MP1 version: 1.6.0I cannot seem to make it workFor example, when i deploy the example it properly opens the port /dev/ttyRPMSG0 and when i read with this command cat /dev/ttyRPMSG0 it wait for messages , so i connect to another temrinal send some messages and receive them perfectlyBut when i try to use generated project the port is not even open and this is my output of the rpmsg0 :[ 1.668065] rpmsg_sdb_drv_init(rpmsg_sdb): Init done[ 40.830549] virtio_rpmsg_bus virtio0: creating channel rpmsg-tty addr 0x400[ 40.837511] virtio_rpmsg_bus virtio0: creating channel rpmsg-tty addr 0x401[ 40.848325] virtio_rpmsg_bus virtio0: rpmsg host is onlineLooks good , also when starting the processor:root@myir:~# dmesg | grep remoteproc[ 1.667805] remoteproc remoteproc0: releasing m4[ 1.749203] remo
Hi, Currently I am working on how to use use cryp1 and cyp2 hardware efficiently. How to know it is using crypto hardware when working with openssl. how to check the efficiency?Currently these configurations are enabled in my kernel.CONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_STM32_CRC=yCONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_STM32_HASH=yCONFIG_CRYPTO_DEV_STM32_CRYP=y but still I am not able see /dev/crypto dev is listed.Currently my cat /proc/crypto output is something like thisname : cmac(aes)driver : cmac(aes-arm)module : cmacpriority : 200refcnt : 4selftest : passedinternal : notype : shashblocksize : 16digestsize : 16name : aesdriver : aes-armmodule : aes_armpriority : 200refcnt : 3selftest : passedinternal : notype : cipherblocksize : 16min keysize : 16max keysize : 32name : aesdriver : aes-genericmodule : aes_genericpriority : 100refcnt : 1selftest : passedinternal : notype : cipherblocksize : 16min keysize : 16max keysize : 32name : ccm(aes)driver : stm32-ccm-aesmodule : stm32_cryppriority : 200refcnt : 1selft
Hallo,After installing OpenSTLinux on STM32MP135F-DK, after updating all, the command apt-get install x-linux-ai-tool won't work. Any thoughts?regards, Paul
Hi, I'm developing my project on a custom stm32mp135 board, baremetal. I tried to flash my FSBL into eMMC with the external loaders provided with Cube package for STM32MP13XX_CUSTOM_HW, it didn't work. Then I tried one that is provided for STM32MP135C-DK and it did work, but it only flashes SD card. My suspicion is that custom-hardware uses LPDDR3, and my board has DDR3L and that's why it fails. I can't find sources of that external loader to fix it. Are you planning on publishing it?

I am getting a buffer ID parsing error every once in a while in the rpmsg_sdb_decode_rxbuf_string() function. It looks like the strsep fails to parse out the ID. This also is only happening on buffer ID 0. Here is the debug from the function. What would cause strsep to truncate the string? Even when the passed in string is correct. Before and after the error.
