Before writing, I apologize for the unsophisticated use of English. Hello, I'm student who struggle with ble. I want to transmit the IMU GYRO Info & Camera Video ( or Image ) by STM32WB Module on the board. But I don't have any idea for starting ble. I already read the Guide for Starting BLE ( such as WIKI, BLE_AT_Client example, user guide, youtube video, and etc.). But I met the limitation caused by hardware gap ( such pin out and etc. ). So, I could not make code bout using ble. Can I get some any code sniffets or Info bout using ble with b-u585 dk? I'm so sorry if it was very rudimentary or if I looked it up and found an answer quickly.
I think I've spot a small bug into the cube mx code generation tool for STM_WPAN moduleinto app_debug.c in function void DbgOutputTraces( uint8_t *p_data, uint16_t size, void (*cb)(void) ) { /* USER CODE END DbgOutputTraces */ HW_UART_Transmit_DMA(CFG_DEBUG_TRACE_UART, p_data, size, cb); /* USER CODE END DbgOutputTraces */ return; } There is 2 "END" tags the first one should be a BEGINdue to this everything you wrote between both tag that should be kept when generating code from IOC file is scrapedthank's for the help
Hello all, In my Project I'm using STM32WB5MMG Mcu for Bluetooth via data transmission, Iam Developing code as per the reference of STM32WB5 Nucleo Board and ST's MOOC for Bluetooth pairing, single data read and write.Iam doing as same as the Nucleo board but there is nothing happen, after i verify the code its also similar so what to do in this situation, kindly help to resolve this. Here I am attaching Screenshots,
Dears, good afternoon. We had standard hardware for telemetry using STM32G071. We decided to migrate it to STM32WB15CC in order to take advantage of BLE features. It turns out that two sensors use the same interrupt line, PA8 and PB8, although one detects the rising edge and the other the falling edge. This is how we differentiate them in the STM32G071.To differentiate the rising and falling edges in the STM32G071, we use the EXTI_FPR1 and EXTI_RPR1 registers. However, we did not find similar ones in the STM32WB15CC, but only an EXTI_PR1 register that identifies that an edge has occurred. Obviously, it is more difficult to change "almost" standard hardware, due to issues of size, layout, etc. We would like to resolve this issue through software.Do you have any suggestions to resolve this problem? The list of interrupts for GPIOs is below.Thank you in advance for your attention!William Ferreira (from Brazil) Image 1: WB15 reference manualImage 2: STM32G0xx reference manual
Hello,I have a BLE application and I want to use UART DMA for communication between Nucleo and PC.I have managed to get it working, however everytime only odd bytes are received. (One is received and the second one is not and again..) I'm attaching a screenshot from terminal. Here is my code, the communication is split by sending and receiving 1 byte, what I'm doing wrong? Can you please help me? Any suggestion would be appreciated! Thank you very much!void Custom_APP_Init(void){HAL_UART_Receive_DMA (&huart1, rx_message, 1);} void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart){HAL_UART_Receive_DMA(&huart1, rx_message, 1);if(transmit == 0){HAL_UART_Transmit_DMA(&huart1, rx_message, 1);transmit = 1;}} void HAL_UART_TxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart){transmit=0;}
Hi community,I'm having some issues with LPTIM on a WB55 nucleo board.I have set a LPTIM to fire interrupts every 2us (with a PWM output). It uses PLL as CLK source, and the PWM signal I see in output is effectively correct. The problem arises when I call HAL_LPTIM_AutoReloadMatchCallback(), in which I simply toggle a pin at the same frequency (500KHz, 2us).The representation of the signals is here below, where the first graph is the PWM signal and the other is the pin I want to toggle in the callback: The only line of code inside the callback is HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(A0_GPIO_Port, A0_Pin);Do some of you know why this happens? Thanks so much
I'm developing an end-node based on the STM32 Nucleo-L476RG with a LoRa module SX1272MB2DAS and a Grove sensor (based on DHT11). I'm facing a dilemma regarding how to retrieve data from the sensor. I'm torn between two options: modifying the data retrieval method in the I-Cube-Lrwan example (rather than using I2C) or implementing my own middleware in a new project. Which approach would you recommend, and how could I effectively implement it?
We are developing a BLE device based on a STM32WB5MM. The device acts as a server and has configured the connection with bonding (and a passkey). We have a problem connecting to the device when several devices of the same type coexist in the same place (about 3/4 devices in an area of 5 meters radius). It is difficult to start the connection, in the order of minutes (sometimes it is not even possible to start the connection). However, once the connection is established (because we move away from the area) it remains stable (even if we return to the area with more devices).Any idea why this might be? All devices have the same name. This is the only thing that comes to mind. Can this cause a problem at the time of authentication (bonding)? We have noticed that if a mobile device (which is our client) has a paired device, it cannot connect/pair to another one until the information of the previous device has been deleted on the mobile. If so, just modifying the name of the advertising is en
I also found programming by serial line in below using STM32F446. Does STM32 has a 'naming convention' for timer, (Like, Basic, Enhanced, etc....), such that I can 'quickly' see if the timer inside our STM32WLE5JC target MCU will have the 'link/slave' capability as the example STM32F446. https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/generate-fixed-number-of-pulses-in-stm32f446me/m-p/216485 an4776-generalpurpose-timer-cookbook-for-stm32-microcontrollers-stmicroelectronics --- [you can find the original thread, from which this one was split off, here]
ACI_L2CAP_CONNECTION_UPDATE_RESP_EVENTWhat is the Result field? Need to know if change accepted
Dear All,I am search for an example BLE beacon code for the NUCLEO-WB55RG board which solely uses the HCI layer. There is an example for the WBA board: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeWBA/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-WBA55CG/Applications/BLE/BLE_BeaconHCI Is there somewhere an analog example code for the NUCLEO-WB55RG board available?Or does this code also work for the mentioned board? Thanks in advise. Regards,Andreas
I am trying to enable all 3 UARTS (LPUART, USART1 and USART2) within the STM IDE. However, on choosing LPUART, USARTS2 become unavailable (and vice versa) . Is this a device limitation? We really would like to be able to use all 3 uarts (no flow control necessary)
Hi, I would like to disable/re-enable BLE and keep the concurrent Zigbee stack in normal operation. Some other posts suggested to call hci_reset() to disable BLE and re-initialize it later when needed again. After calling hci_reset() somehow Zigbee wont join the network anymore. Are there shared components between the hci and Zigbee? Is what I am trying to achieve even possible with the tm32wb5x_BLE_Zigbee_FFD_dynamic_fw stack (I am using a P-NUCLEO-WB55)?Thank you for any hint! Best Regards,Alexander
Hello all,I have purchased the p-nucleo-lrwan2 set that has a gateway and a end node. In the tools and software they have mentioned how to connect the gateway with LORIOT,TTN and Acitility. But I have a requirement such that gateway and end node-1 (i-nucleo-lrwan from the kit), end node-2(sx1276mb1mas shield with nucleo-l466rg) has to be connected to AWS and establish communication with each other. https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/p-nucleo-lrwan2.html#overviewLooking forward for the support. Thanks in advance.
How STM32WLE5JC pin PAD circuit works in mixed 3 volts Vdd and 4.2 volts for Open Drain Output pin? Would like to switch medium power LED that takes 45mA and supplied directly by 4.2 volts Li ion cell. LDO, MCP1700, drops cell voltage from 4.2 to 3V to feed MCU four power pins.Use 3 port pins and each sink 15mA. Configure pin as Open Drain, disable pull up. Disable pull down. Use PA4, PA5 and PA6 that have I/O structure type FT. Is it correct that PA4, PA5 and PA6 can take 3 + 3.9 = 6.9 volts and it is OK in this circuit that put 4.2 volts on IO pin when LED is off? TIA
I have found :C:\STM32WL_WS\Hands-on\Point2Point_Phy\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\SubGHz_Phyand also :C:\STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.0\Projects\NUCLEO-WL55JC\Applications\SubGHz_Phy\SubGHz_Phy_PingPongBut it is very difficult to work on this ... by example ..it is impossible to do "copy and paste".... Thank you in advance...!! Daniel Julio Abaddanieljabad@yahoo.it
HI,All I noticed that when we use BLE stack, we must set SYSCLK to 16MHz。When i set the SYSCLK upto 100MHz,the uart1 log will be garbled after call BleStack_Init which contained in st ble stack lib。I don't know if my discovery is correct。I don't understand why ST doesn't provide the source code for the Bluetooth protocol stack。
Is the STM32CubeIDE defaults 64 bits in unix time? if not, how/where to put gcc command line option in STM32CubeIDE "gcc -D_TIME_BITS=64". Supposedly, this will redirect unix time to be 64 bit instead of traditional 32 bit that will overflow in year 2038. TIA
Would appreciate pointer and insignt on learning how to do battery minimum energy LoRa on (a) half a dozen of sleep modes (b) example sequencer C coding with power saving (c) reading list on application/tech notes, etc. TIA
HelloIs there any RF layout documentation for STM32WB1MMC? Minimum ground plane size, distance to PCB edges, copper clearance etc? I can't find anything. Thanks
I received my first STM32WB5MM-DK.Reeded AN5289 first 104 pages to understand the architecture of the examples. And watched this youtube playlist "STM32WB Getting Started Series". So after importing the Heart Rate example with cubeIDE (Version: 1.14.1) it worked, but after re-generating the code via cube the code cant compile.I even tried to start from scratch and set the IOC (uploaded to this post) with STM32_WPAN (rf, rtc, sys...), all compiled but no advertise received via phone app.Used with: STM32CubeWB Firmware Package V1.18.0 Uploaded the IOC, if support can please check out the configuration and find what is wrong.Or, There is updated guide to use the latest platform?
Hi,I am making Zigbee based project and I tried to use the P-Nucleo-WB55 and using STM32CubeIDE v1.15. Once I downloaded the CubeWB1.19 and compiled the Zigbee apps but none of those apps working. It always shows the Fatal Error saying Unknown, when I check the code it is checking the FW version and it is not in there so it stops. Is there any solution to resolve this issue? thanks,YJ
I am using an STM32WB5MMG for a BLE application. The device acts as a server. I have configured a number of characteristics with indication permissions. How can I confirm the correct reception of the characteristics updates by the client? I mean, where can I get the indication confirmation?Best regards and thanks.
Hi this is not a specific Stm32WB question, but still relevant for any BLE development.I am working on a STM32WB design. I wanted to see what happens when I have different Bluetooth chips on the host side. SO I bought a TP-LINK bluetooth USB dongle. As soon as I attached this USB dongle to my laptop, no usb isn working on my laptop anymore. So now bluetooth is not working on my laptop anymore. I cant connect to my old Bluetooth loudspeaker and and and. My ble mouse is still working.what I did so far for recovery:restart laptopremove alle the paired devicesuninstall the device driver in device manager and restarttry a different USB Bluetooth dongle.Any further ideas?
Hello community,I'm trying to create a Lora node with a STM32L4 board and a SX1272 transceiver. I am quite new to Lora and I don't see how to connect them (I have a XBee adp V1.0 for interface).Does someone have any clue about how can I make it work ?Also i found that STM32 boards work with Arduino IDE, but didn't find the example code for the first try of the connectionThanks a lot !
