HiI am trying out the End Node example on the board B-L072Z-LRWAN1 using the i-cube-lrwan stack. My gateway and lora server seem to work fine but I am always getting RxTimeout after initiating the OTAA Join Request. Please help on this. Thanks,Mary
Hi, i'm doing a code in C for stm32 with LoRa-02, and i came across a weird error.error:expected declaration specifiers or '...' before '(' tokenA part of a code: txt:define PERIPH_BASE (0x40000000UL) /*!< Peripheral base address in the alias region */ /*!< Peripheral memory map */ #define APBPERIPH_BASE PERIPH_BASE #define AHBPERIPH_BASE (PERIPH_BASE + 0x00020000UL) #define IOPPERIPH_BASE (PERIPH_BASE + 0x10000000UL)I'm useing a sts library for SX1278. I don't understand whats wrong with the definition. It seems like the declaration sequence is done correctly, maybe something with nested definitions or something, i don't know. Also when i copypaste this fragment of code into new project, error disapears.Sorry for my bad london, thx for help :vedit 1: deletededit 2:My code (main.c) is just a few #include and an endless loop.Part of a code where PERIPH_BASE is used. It's hal rcc header file:/* Disable Backup domain write protection state change timeout */ #defin
HI there,I am using STM32WB55 ble as a client. but after few seconds the scanning process to connect ble server is stopped working. I want to know how can i solved this issue.Warm RegardsSarthak Malik
I have several boards with STM32WB55RE chips. In most of them chip works fine and and BLE is allright. But in a small amount of them I have unknown problem - the device can't init BLE periphery in the first cycle of UTIL_SEQ_Run( UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT );I taked BLE functionality from the example of Heart Rate service.First of all I do initialization like in the example. Then the codeflow goes in endless cycle with UTIL_SEQ_Run( UTIL_SEQ_DEFAULT ); function. And at first cycle the code stay at UTIL_SEQ_WaitEvt(0x02) function and can't receive any response from hardware I think. Here is my my call stack:mainUTIL_SEQ_Runshci_user_evt_procAPPE_SysUserEvtRxAPP_BLE_InitSHCI_C2_BLE_Initshci_sendshci_cmd_resp_waitUTIL_SEQ_WaitEvt( 1 << CFG_IDLEEVT_SYSTEM_HCI_CMD_EVT_RSP_ID );// CFG_IDLEEVT_SYSTEM_HCI_CMD_EVT_RSP_ID = 0x01Can somebody explain what event chip waiting for? I have carefully tested these boards several times, but find no hardware or connectivity problems. The soldering is perfect.I w
Hello everyone,I developed a custom board based on the B-L072Z-LRWAN-1 Discovery Kit. I could flash the CMWX1ZZABZ-078 (STM32L082 + SX11276) and every function work well. The problem is in the time when trying to communicate with the PC throught USB. Before flashing the module for the first time (just connecting the pcb as it came from manufacturer), the PC does not detect it.After flashing it wit the STM32CubeIDE or the mbed online compiler, the PC detect it but it does not recognize it.I downloaded ST USB drivers from ST website but it does not fix itThe schematic and layout looks good and I designed the USB lines with 90 ohm impedance. I attached picture: I measured voltages and they are okey (5V line is 4.8v and 3V3 line is 3.31v)Does anyone could help me to find out what can be wrong? Thanks in advance,Jorge

has anyone have a development board design to test STM32WLE5C8 serie MCU t share?Miguel
Dear ST-Micro-Team,I have experience with 'other' Microcontrollers, embedded programming and PCB design. However, I'm completely new to the STMicro series with LoRa support. This chip sounds like pure magic, I'd like to try it out.For my project, I'd liket to prototype following minimum example:Design a PCB in autodesk eagle with either the UFQFPN48 7x7mm package or the 5x5mm UFBGA73 package. The PCB should be equipped with the filter caps, the MCU, some breakout pins for programming and eventually a Lithium charger IC but I want to keep it as small and simple as possible. External antennan will probably be just a wire. Can you please provide me some starting help with following questions:Are there reference designs available for the two packages that are supported by ST Micro? I dont think so, I've ound something for the 7x7mm. I'll take a look but that would only save me half of a day in the project. There are not any featured articles, blogs etc. neither official nor externally ab
I have been getting into issues on the STM32WB Nucleo Eval Board. As of now, i've been working on the BLE_Custom example from the Firmware 1.9.0. and i have it to where it bonds and has no MITM protection on. Once running it from the CubeMX and opening on the IDE any slight changes like making a command within the Main.c and in the while(1) loop it seems to not be found on any of my devices. Just opening the example with the configurations changes and not changing anything on the IDE makes it appear and paired up with my ios device or my laptop. I don't know if its a fault on the IDE, example or MX program. I also had tried changing the GAP name with the same character length and as well it did the same error where its not recognized by any of my devices
Trying to figure out the best way of programming CPUs for production. With other projects, we would normally get the microcontroller programmed before the PCB SMT stage. This service doesnt appear to be available for STM32WB (too new?), so the intention is to use 4x ST-LINK devices in parallel to program 4 boards at a time on the assembly line.Whilst I'm fairly clear on how to achieve this using the command line tools, I would like to check this is the only / best way of doing it. The time it takes to upgrade FUS (twice? still not clear if that's required as per release notes 0.5.3 -> 1.0.2 -> 1.1.0), then flash the copro with BLE_stack_full.bin, then flash the main image is longer than we would like. Can we combine any of the steps? Is it possible to generate an elf file that has "everything" in?Does ST provide programming services? or chips that are already preprogrammed with the ble stack, ready for our application code? Thanks
Can I use ST link V2 to program STM32WLE5JC microcontroller via SWD?
We are building a BPSK Modulator and transmitter on subgiga hertz frequency(402.78 MHZ),STM32WLE5xx suits our requirement, only thing i need to know Maximum bit rate for transmission if modulation technique is BPSk
I am using the latest version BLE Stack 1.9 provided by ST on STM32WB55 and is facing BLE stoppage issue that unable to see / connect the device on bluetooth after some time.Is this an issue with stack?
HelloI am developing a Bluetooth module and I want to use the STM32WB55 chip. In the specifications it says that it supports bluetooth 5.0 but there are few devices that support 5.0, I have been reading manuals and nowhere does it say that it supports versions prior to 5.0 (4.0, 4.1, 4.2) I want to know if you can tell me if it supports these versions bluetooth.Regads
Hi, I would like to use STM32WB55 or STM32WB30 on CR2032.I reduce CM4 to 250Khz to save voltage level, but CM0 must be set to 32Mhz to use BLE.I observed that BLE connection peak consumption is significant.May be can I reduce Tx power to reduce BLE consumption.Anyone have BLE consumption related to tx power ?Thanks a lot,Benjamin.
Hi there, I use the Nucleo-WB55 Board and I want to set some GPIO PINs in a high speed.I use Low Level code to get fastest response.GPIO_Init: GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = PID_D0_Pin|PID_D1_Pin; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL_UP; LL_GPIO_Init(GPIOC, &GPIO_InitStruct);The CubeMX clock setup is at maximum speed with 32MHzI set/reset the GPIO with LL command at the main.c LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(PID_D1_GPIO_Port,PID_D1_Pin); // time 0.00 µs LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin(PID_D0_GPIO_Port,PID_D0_Pin); // time 720 ns It takes incredible 720ns until the D0 has turned off. It means there is a delay of 720ns until both Pin's D1 and D0 are off.The LL_GPIO_ResetOutputPin() contains only WRITE_REG(GPIOx->BRR, PinMask);Did anyone know the reason why the GPIO set/reset need this
Howdy, I'm new to embedded systems and really new on BLE. I started with the BLE_Custom project and made it discoverable by using a fixed pin, bonding mode on, making the IO Capability to no input, no output and no MITM protection to see the device and connect from my android. Now what i want to do is to send images and commands from the phone and the board. but i don't know where to start. i know the images we want to take is around 640x480 pixels and it would be send to the phone in 10 frames per second. Is it possible to send such files via BLE
how i can get version 1.1.2? The project I took over is based on 1.1.2, but I can't look at the code by removing all the codes for other regions. i can't find on www.
Just like communicating with a Bluetooth sensor (HC-06) via USART, can I transfer an SPI camera image to an iOS or Android based device via BLE?
HelloWe are verifying the communication of the IEEE802.15.4 protocol stack with STM32WB50. I tried to insert a 1ms interrupt on CPU1, but when I initialized and enabled IEEE802.15.4, the 1ms interrupt was extended to 2ms. The cause was that the System Clock Mtu input was switched from PLLCLK to HSE_SYS.The external clock 32MHz is put in the HSE, and the system clock is set to 64MHz by the PLL. And I set the source of System Clock Mtu to PLLCLK.Please tell me why it switches. Can the Systemu Clock Mtu source be fixed to PLLCLK?
Hello everyone,it seems like it is very hard to get an answer in any lora issues. I give it a shot anyway :DI've watched all the lectures in udemy to get familar with stm32 MCU and i have learned a lot, but unfortunately not enough to get a LoRa-Node working. Hate it!I purchased a STM32L476 MCU and a sx1262 by EBYTE, milled my own pcb and soldered all components together. The sx1262 module is connected to SPI1 of the MCU. I have attached the schematic, if someone wanna take look on it.The LED works pretty well! :)I downloaded the "STM32CubeExpansion_LRWAN_V1.3.1", read the "UM2073" and moved the folder "LoRaWAN", which is located in "Middlewares -> Third_Party", to my own project. All files in the "Conf" folder were named as "template". I have deleted the "template" remark in the filenames, did the #includes in my project and hit the build icon. You guessed right, it ends up in an error. And there is my first question, Why? The IDE can't find the header file "hw.h" (Screenshot: STM3
Hi all,Could you show me any code example and reference design for STM32WLE5JB ?Thanks you very much,
I currently have a NUCLEO-F103RB board and also an I-NUCLEO-LRWAN1 board. Is it possible to interface them directly together? I have seen that the I-NUCLEO-LRWAN is initialized for the STM32L0/L1/L4 series using the I-CUBE-LRWAN.However, I would really like to interface it with an STM32F103. Is this possible? Can I use the I-CUBE-LRWAN software expansion for STM32Cube? If not, how can I do it?Thanks
Hello,I recently saw the new SoC STM32WLE5 which has been developed. Is an evaluation board available? Is there also minimal support (Cube package, documentation) to start development. I read in a document that there is a NUCLEO-WL55JC, but I couldn't find the board anywhere. If there is still nothing, when will it be available?I find the product extremely interesting and I would like to use it for IoT energy metering professionnal project. Thank you for your answer and best regards,Maxime
