Hi community,I like to make my life a bit more difficult than necessary.Using a Quectel modem, connected via USART to the STM32WB5MMG, I want to enable OTA upgradeability over LTE CAT-M1/GSM. The downloading part is already figured out from older projects using a STM32F429. But now I am struggling with the programming part. With the STM32F429 you could just download the firmware from the modem over USART and save it to the not used memory bank. With the STM32WB5 there is no second memory bank. How is that process supposed to go ?Thank you in advance !
I am doing my first steps on the NUCLEO-WL55JC1 and one of the first things I like to get working is of course some debug printfs. Though I could of course use the VCP via the integrated STLink I'd like to use ITM_SendChar() to output some informtion. Though I think I did everything the same as when I also configured the STM32H735-Discovery, where I got ITM working, nothing is output with the WL55 board. As far as I understood from the documentation SWO output via PB3 should be possible on this board as well? Using WL55 Firmware pack v1.0.0 with CubeIDE 1.6.0Below are the steps I did to configure my app:Create an empty STM32 project for the NUCLEO-WL55JC1Initialize all peripherals with their default configuration: NoIn CubeMX: Set Debug/Trace: JTAG and Trace: Trace asynchronous swIn CubeMX: Clock config: Set MSI RC to 48000 setzen, to get output clock of 48 MHzSave CubeMX config and auto-generate sourceAdd to <Projectname>_CM4/Core/Src/main.c in the central while(1)-Loop in main(
I have a custom board having STm32WBCE on it. I have tried to call a function in stead of using in while (1)(Which I used to call in it and was working fine), implemented using sequencer + timer server in a repeated fashion which I create and start in "APP_BLE_Init()" function. I have created a task for my function to run repeatedly. To debug, I am using USB TX to print anything on the terminal software. I am able to send data on BLE and also able to receive. But after it receives data, the device stops printing my messages. What could be the reason? Also, how can I know how much time my function takes to complete once? -->( To set the TIMEOUT value for timer server repeating task)Currently I have set a random timeout and it is working fine. But I don't know whether due to this, the code is running fine or not.Thank you.
I bought p-nucleo-lrwan2 package at two weeks ago.so I have searched p-nucleo-lrwan2 reference source.I get p-nucleo-lrwan1 endless board source, but I haven't find p-nucleo-lrwan2 gateway source.please I hope to get p-nucleo-lrwan2 gateway source.have a good day
Hello,I have ran two examples of Zigbee applications on Nucleo STM32WB.One with end device device type and the other one with router device type (both with FFD stack).I have registered the node on my existing Zigbee network.I can see that the device type of the node is changing but when I look at the code, I could not find any difference (in app_zigbee.c).Can you point at to me where the device type is set in the code?Thank you for your answer,Best regards,LéoPS: is there a complete documentation of the API/stack available where I can find that kind of information?
The example "DAC_SignalGenerator" is not working as expected for me using a NUCLEO-WL55JC1 board. Using CubeIDE 1.6 with FW Pack 1.0Using the on board button one should be able to switch between a triangle and a "escalator" waveform. While the triangle waveform works as expected the escalator waveform is not really recognizable and it just looks like a lot of noise.I tried replacing the generation of the escalator with the code for the generation of a sine wave which worked on a stand alone project on the same board. Again, this didn't looked correctly but more interestingly when I observed the output with an oscilloscope it looked as if in the escalator resp. sine mode both signals were output superimposed to each other. The triangle was still very visible even in the Non-Triangle mode.My first idea was, that potentially the generation of the triangle did not really stop and both waveforms are generated at the same time.Could you please verify the escalator signal is working as expect

I followed this[1] URL to update FUS and wireless stack, it failed and now i can't get wireless to work. All the examples are hard faulting. In our previous design we were using DFSDM to read the microphone data, but with the STM32WB family there is only SAI PDM port. I read that the SAI consume more power than the DFSDM because it is processing PDM to PCM. I found also that the DFSDM is more light than the SAI with the acoustic beamforming https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000W674p/is-there-a-way-to-use-st-acousticbf-from-xcubememsmic1-lib-in-pdm-mode-to-use-together-with-dfsdm-peripheral-we-can-also-use-sai-peripheral-for-46-microphones-so-what-is-better-sai-or-dfsdm I am looking for a clear information about the main difference between these two protocol of communication in matter of CPU resources, computing, performance and power consumption.
I notice that there is an API, aci_gap_set_limited_discoverable(), which is designed to time out the STM32WB55 if no connection is made within a certain period. However, this option does not show up within the Cube (v6.2, just released) when setting up a custom template. This should be found under the BLE Advertising tab, Advertising Configuration, Advertising type. That is where you are supposed to select the advertising option, which dictates the api call made from from within Adv_Request(), the advertising request setup call generated by the Cube. I see no way to invoke the limited discovery api using the Cube. Does anybody know how or if the limited discovery option can be be done?
I am attempting to load an image onto the wireless coprocessor of the STM32WB55CGU6. I am using STM32CubeProgrammer through its wireless image tab to accomplish this, and I am following the instructions in the release notes provided with the binary image. When I do this, however, I get a pop up with the error FUS_STATE_ERR_UNKNOWN.I have seen previous posters have errors with having no secured section on their board, but the ESE option byte is enabled, as shown here:I have attempted to load the board with firmware to configure the USB for DFU and connect through the STMCubeProgrammer that way, but I get an error regarding the address for programming.Any advice on how to get this operational would be greatly appreciated!

Hello,I'm booked in / confirmed for the STM32WL workshop on the 19th of March. Could anyone provide me with information about when the hardware pack (P-Nucleo-LRWAN2 and NUCLEO-WL55JC) is likely to be delivered? Should I expect to get an email confirming that is is on the way, or a parcel tracking number? Thanks,Chris
Hi, I've been trying to figure out how to get the above-mentioned LoRaWAN examples working on a STM32WL5 devkit.I'm at the point where I can join with OTAA on a Multitech gateway on the Things network, but I can't seem to get the devkit to then send any more packets.. Could someone please assist?Regards
Hi!My project consists of a bootloader and a main program that uses BLE functionality. If, after turning on the device, the main program was not started, then after switching the bootloader to STANDBY, I get a current consumption of 5 µA, taking into account the additional components on the board-OK. If the main program was started (respectively, CPU2->RUN), after the software reset, the bootloader puts the system in standbay, but the current consumption floats in the range of 30-70 µA. After that, the situation can only be changed by switching the power. I took code samples for switching to standby in STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1. 10. 1 PWR_EnterStandbyMode//in start main() after HAL init: if((LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C1SB() != 0) && (LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C2SB() != 0)){ LL_PWR_ClearFlag_C1STOP_C1STB(); LL_PWR_ClearFlag_C1STOP_C1STB(); } // SLEEP device: HAL_RTCEx_DeactivateWakeUpTimer(&hrtc); HAL_SuspendTick(); if((LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C1SB() == 0)|| (LL_PWR_IsActiveFlag_C2S
Its easy to fulfill requirements for startup ( I turn 3.6V LDO enable with 1.8V voltage), but when powerdown, the 3.6V decay is much longer and if 1.8V is already decayed, there is still 2V on 3.6V power line. Will this physically damage MCU or will it mess with brownout detectors ? Help ! :)
HiI did not got the second E-Mail you send me. Please invite me onec again. Hope it works
Hey all,I am trying to use the STM32WB55RG Nucleo board and for the application, I would have to use the board with the coin battery power supply (There is a coin battery slot for CR2032 battery). However, I could not see much information on how to change the configurations on the board to use battery power. It can be seen in the datasheet it is said that the SB29 should be closed to use the battery but I am not sure how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Are additional external circuit components needed to reliably connect USB voltage to an ADC input, besides a voltage divider that brings 5V down to 3.3V?
Hello,I've confirmed my registration on feb 25th, but today i got an email stating my registration can't be confirmed. Is this an error?
Hello,I just received an email from ST; I registered for the 30 March workshop but due to reached capacity my registration was not confirmed. I would like to ask if there is the possibility to join the workshop on another day.Thank youAlessandro
