Hello, I have already received package STM32 Nucleo Pack - LoRa HF band sensor and gateway - containing sensor board with USI chip.Today I attended pre-workshop with Bartosz Boryna and it looks like that the board with USI is useless now, I need some other board STM32WL...Could you please verify, if I received correct parcel for tomorrow workshop ?If not, please, could you send me correct HW parts and re-schedule my training to date, when I have correct HW ?The original package was CR743573138DE and arrived on 10th March. Thanks,Ondrej
Hi, Is there any way to read register data in STM32WL? Since it uses SX1262 chip, I want to read register data using the register address. Since STM32WL does not have SPI support, can anyone please suggest how to read register data using STM32WL? For example, how can I read Data Buffer values?
Hi,I need to advertise free data, as I understand it is located in manufacturer data section. When I advertise only the manufacturer data, with aci_gap_update_adv_data function, I can see with Application BLE Scanner, the data, as raw data. But when I advertise the Service UUID, the data is different. What I do wrong? What do I miss? Thanks,Lior
HiI couldn't find a specific definition of the total length that I can advertise. On one place I saw 37 bytes, on another place only 25 bytes. Can someone tell me, how many bytes can I advertise? Thanks,Lior
I tried flashing PWR_STANDBY_RTC and PWR_EnterStandbyMode examples both has sleep current of 590uA. How do i get the datasheet value of 600nA standby current or atleast something less than 10uA.
I have started to go through the course pre-requisites and am familiarising myself with the kit and feeling much more confident, particularly as I have the gateway setup on TTN an seeing the L073RZ dev board ping in. I am still going through the prerequisites for the course but have run into a few problems, I was wondering if you could help ahead of the course as it seems important that I get to complete all the sections ahead of the course please?Using the UM2587 getting started guide, I have a few queries on the below sections,1. OK2. OK 3. OK but could you confirm what I need to install please as the guide states to run “demonstration application? PG 6 section 5.1 of UM2592. I cannot communicate with the STM32WL55 (I can’t send commands), although it does report back correctly after a reset on the serial port terminal.4. OK but (currently using putty with setting of, 115200 8N1) but this doe
My project requires a RS-232 cable with TX inverted to connect the PC with CubeProgrammer CLI to STM32WB55. In application, I am able to configure the UART with "UART_ADVFEATURE_TXINVERT_INIT", and the STM32WB55 transmission works fine through the RS-232 cable, but does not work on bootloader, since by default the TX pin is not inverted.Any idea on how to workaround this?A custom bootloader is an option to consider, but since I am using CubeProgrammer I would like to use the default bootloader from ST.
Hi,Im using STM32WB55 USB dongle board. I want to send data from the dongle board to PC using USB pheriperal. i used the command CDC_Transmit() to send data and I visualized the recieved data using realterm in PC . It was working. But I want to send data at the same time BLE sequencer is running. When I run the sequencer CDC_transmit() is not sending data to the PC.Can anyone help me?
Hi,I am new to the STM32WB range. I need to use the 1MB flash version in a project, But I am struggling a bit to understand the flash layout.I read that the first 6 Sectors are to be used my the OTA application. It seems like settings should go directly after that (say one sector). Then you can place your code.It is stated that the CPU2 application is at the end of flash. I cant seem to find any actual specifications on the exact location (or how big it is).And does the code for CPU2 actually live on the same flash space? I need to work out my boundaries. But it feels like i am missing some info that I dont seem to be getting from the docs.
Hello to everyone,I have two B-L072Z-LRWAN1 kit. Trying for measure best distance i can reach. I am using Ping-Pong example and change some variables such as LORA_SPREADING_FACTOR, LORA_BANDWIDTH, LORA_CODINGRATE, LORA_PREAMBLE_LENGTH etc. Until now, modules could not connect when spreading factor above 9. So i didnt achieve long distances. Anyone tried or know what is the best configuration for long distances.Thanks.
Sorry ST guys but the UART HAL and LL_HAL ist a total fail!I developing over 15 years all kind of serial communication with linux and different microcontrollers. Now I regret my desistion to use the STM32WB MCU. I'm trying over two weeks the get a stable UART communication running with different data length (5 to 50 bytes). All tries with DMA or Interrupt are failed. All this ST HAL examples are not realy usefull and if I search for some input I can read a lot and I mean a loooot of similar problem at the forums....Now I have to think about to went awai from this MCU or I have to write my own working HAL from scratch. It seams the marketing did a good job but the rest ???? I dont know....A unhappy user....
HI.In description of aci_gap_init() function writed:Initialize the GAP layer. Register the GAP service with the GATT.All the standard GAP characteristics will also be added:- Device Name- Appearance- Peripheral Preferred Connection Parameters (peripheral role only)but this function does not return ppcp handle. In AN5270 writed the same.Question: how to set ppcp characteristic (min-max interval, conn_sup_timeout, slave latency) ?Thanks.
I am developing a Beacon model application with ST bluetile. Bluenrg2 low power current consumption differs between SensorDemo (200uA) and Beacon application (1.8mA). I made sure that the bluetile goes into SLEEP_NO_TIMER mode and wakes up only when triggered. What is the contributing factor to the low power current consumption. Other than calling BlueNRG_Sleep(SLEEP_NO_TIMER,0,0). what else has to be checked to reduce the current consumption.
ST Micro store says it has 200 in stock, but the order won't go through. Tried AVNET, Digikey, etc. No luck.
Is the nucleo-wl55jc available in the market? And I wanna know what's the difference between the wl55jc1 and wl55jc2, which one of them should I buy for my region (North Africa)?
Hi,I'm using the example FLASH_WriteProtection with P-NUCLEO-WB55 with success but if I change the define FLASH_USER_START_ADDR in order to write only two (so I change the define FLASH_USER_END_ADDR in 'ADDR_FLASH_PAGE_250 + FLASH_PAGE_SIZE - 1') page from the PAGE_230 (adddress: 0x080E6000) I've a hard fault after I call HAL_FLASHEx_Erase.I want to delete and after write on this location because in my application I need to store at the end of flash some application data. What's the problem? regards,Giampietro
Dear sir/madam,I am interesting in using STM32WL55CC . Does its stack available for mesh or point to point ?does any 3rd party party require for mesh or point to pont?
With the throughput example if i use 2 WB55 boards, the maximum throughput that i get is 2KBpsDT = 2160 bytes/s lost = 0If i use my phone with PHY1, i get 90KBps+ and with PHY2 sometimes its 150KBps and sometimes 15KBps, on download. With upload its only 42KBps and 75KBps with PHY1 and PHY2 respectively. Also if i open upload tab first and then click on download, thp PHY1 speed is reduced to 40KBps. Why is that the transfer rate is all over the place? Why is upload slower than download? Which of these values is the correct one?
It seems I am having the same problem here: https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000Az4HdhSQE/cant-get-the-advertising-state?t=1613668936202. Except the solution for that question was to make sure the memory buffer was mapped properly to SRAM2 and to be sure I have the missing IPCC interrupt handlers. However, I have the memory mapped correctly to SRAM2 and I have the IPCC interrupt handlers. So I'm wondering what I'm missing. Most of my code is very similar to the BLE_Datathroughput Nucleo example except I'm using FreeRTOS. I was looking at Figure 65 in this application note: https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/application_note/group1/43/ea/2f/dc/10/a3/46/e6/DM00598033/files/DM00598033.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00598033.pdf. And I am able to send TL_Enable() but then I never get a signal back from CPU2.Any advice is much appreciated!
1. STM32WB55 unable to modify option bytes.2. It is not even allowing to do full chip erase. 3. M4 is running but M0 is not running hence it is struck at IPCC Initilization.
Hello, I'm using STM32WB55 for my application. My application is installed in 20 devices more or less.I set the RTC with RTC_HOURFORMAT_24.The RTC calendar is updated every 24 hours by cloud, usually.Only two of those devices, expose a problem with RTC: when reading the calendar the hours keep counting after 24 reaching more than 70 in some case. The day does not increase, passing 24 hours. The same issue (I think) also give me one differtent behaviour, after 12:59:59 the hours become 01:00:00 like the RTC was set to RTC_HOURFORMAT_12, but it is not!I use the set function in one part of the code, using these instructions:HAL_PWR_EnableBkUpAccess();HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc, &RTC_TimeStruct, RTC_FORMAT_BIN);HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc, &RTC_DateStruct, RTC_FORMAT_BIN);HAL_PWR_DisableBkUpAccess();Could some wrong operation overwrite the RTC register and change the settings in this way?Could someone suggest me a fix or a test to do?
I have a B-L072Z-LRWAN1 development board and am using it to send a PWM (0-100%) value to TTI and receive a PWM value to control a fan. The LoRa settings at the moment are:Class C deviceADR off (using DR_3)Confirmed uplinksNo periodic uplinksThe problem is when not using periodic uplinks, and only sending an uplink when a confirmed downlink is received there comes a time the confirmed downlink from TTI is not received on the board so, there is also no uplink, this triggers the 5 minute timeout for waiting for a reaction, but it will never come in those 5 minutes because the board doesn't receive anything and is listening for a message, so the communication is stopped for 5 minutes. At the moment we can set the timeout to 10 seconds or something using the command line interface (CLI), but it is not preferred because we want an uplink with every downlink. Has anyone experienced this problem before or does someone have something I can try.
Please forgive me for not attending the workshop, but I couldn't force Teams to cooperate.I had to go through at least 10 email and passwords resets and best i got to wasAADSTS50020: User account '--@---------.---' from identity provider 'live.com' does not exist in tenant 'STMicroelectronics' and cannot access the application '5e3ce6c0-2b1f-4285-8d4b-75ee78787346'(Microsoft Teams Web Client) in that tenant. The account needs to be added as an external user in the tenant first. Sign out and sign in again with a different Azure Active Directory user account.Yours sincerelyTomas Jakubik
I am trying to get quick-started with the following:STM32WB55 - Nucleo PackX-Nucleo-IKS01A3 (MEMS Inertial and Environmental Expansion Board)Stm32CubeIDE v 1.6.0STBLESensor (Phone app)FP-SNS-MOTENVWB1 v.1.0.0To start, I've flashed the provided binary from the function pack (STM32CubeFunctionPack_MOTENVWB1_V1.0.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\MOTENV1\Binary\MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG.bin ) onto my nucleo board, and that works as expected. I can pair with the board via BLE and view the output on my phone app. However, when I build and flash the project from CubeIDE, I don't get the same results. I created a new project from the Cube MX configuration file provided in the Function pack at \STM32CubeFunctionPack_MOTENVWB1_V1.0.0\Projects\P-NUCLEO-WB55.Nucleo\Applications\MOTENV1\MOTENV1_IKS01A3_WB55RG.iocI get a warning that the project was set-up using Cube firmware version 1.2.0 and gives me the option to either migrate or continue. I have tried both options at this point. I build
Hey...Hi...HelloHope all are doing wellI'm dealing with TSM32WB with one of my project I'm using FreeRTOS with few peripherals like ADC (DMA), UART, USB, I2C etc I've create the few custom BLE services, out of them when i switch to accelerometer services (Code flow is almost similar with the SenorTile) then i'll cause the thread stuck at "b Infinite_Loop" at startup file I'm using the Cube IDE as a development environment When i open-up the stack analyzer then i found that the ADC1_IRQ_Handler the following message When i click on it then it's redirecting me on the startup file at "Infinite_loop"I've attached the screenshot of the stack analyzer Any suggestions please ?Thanks
