No ST-LINK detected! Please connect ST-LINK and restart the debug session. Please help me. I am user.

I am using STM32CubeIDE for my project . when i want to run the code i am getting this pop up.i am not able to solve this issue.

OK, you didn't connect the Reset pin.

If you can add the connection, it's better.

Then, without reset coming from STLink, you should avoid "Connect under reset" mode in debugger tab in debug config.

Like you did on STM32CubeProgrammer, use "Software Reset system".

Try to mass erase the device with STM32CubeProgrammer before debug.

Was it working before or It never worked ?

Which STM32CubeIDe version and which Operating System are you working with ?

Did you try all USB port ?

You must use STM32CubeIde installer to have all STLink USB drivers and Stlinkserver installed.

Is it an ST board or a custom board with an external STLink ?

It never worked since i installed STM32CubeIDE .

I have tried version 1.6.0 and 1.6.1 both. my operating system is windows 10.

I tried all USB Port.

I have installed both STLink USB drivers and Stlinkserver.

It is a custom board.

Which STLink version are you using ?

Is it a genuine STLink ?

Do you see the STLink as an USB debug probe in device manager ?

If you try with STM32CubeProgrammer, is it working ?

Maybe try in SWD mode first.

You can also try stlinkserver in a command prompt window and see if it detects smtg.

i am using STLINK-V3SET

i don't see STLink as an USB debug probe in device manager.

I didn't try STM32CubeProgrammer.

I have JTAG only.

Do you have admin rights on this PC ?

You must have admin rights to install STLink USB drivers.

Try installing STM32CubeProgrammer and see If it's better.

Your PC is not a Win 10 32 bits ?

It is a 64 bits ?

Maybe you made a wrong connection or short circuit on STLink pins so the board is not recognized by the USB of PC.

Try to remove the application board and let only the STLink V3 connected to the PC with its USB cable.

You should see the STLink at least in USB devices.

i removed application board and still green led is glowing but same pop up in coming
