Hi community.. Is there a simple way to implement a kind of secure boot on stm32f4 microcontrolelrs ? Do you have some application notes or ideas to share ? Thanks

Hello everyone, I am new to this community and I am starting to use the STM32F401 from the Nucleo platform. Thank you in advance for your indulgence and your help.  So I programmed a test code on nucleo which works well. For my final project, I need to integrate only the microprocessor, so I cut the V-Link card of the nucleo and used the DFU Mode to program the chip via USB. Everything works fine, I added a "BOOT" button that allows me to pull pin 60 (BOOT) to 3.3V and I can program the STM via STM32CubeProgrammer.In a second step, I created a test board following the Nucleo schematic indicated in the manual. I just wanted to reproduce the same assembly as on the Nucleo board but with my PCB.The PCB was assembled by the PCB manufacturer with a Pick & Place. When I turn on my custom board, I have all the power supply pins receiving 3.3V, I put all the decoupling capacitor as shown on the diagram, check all the connections to the tester, but despite that, the chip does not s

STM32G070STM32 ST-LINK Utility v4.0.0STM32CubeIDE Version: 1.9.0We are finishing a project and beginning to program production boards for testing. We have been debugging the boards using Segger JTrace's and do not utilize the option bytes of the G070 chip in firmware. When we attach to the boards from the ST-LINK, the Flash memory tab fills out and the memory can be seen. If we try to erase the chip or program a new hex file we get a "Read out protection is activated" warning. If we select Target->Option Bytes, pull down Disable and hit Apply, the utility chugs along for a few seconds and then kicks out a error message "Could not set Option bytes!" The boards can be debugged fine but we need to be able to send updated hex files to the customer for testing. All electrical connections are good.I have not found any relevant answers in searches as this issue was seen all the way back to 2016.What is going on here. Is this a ST-LINK failure? Thanks.

Sorry if this question is basic, but I was not able to find an answer in the documentation. I have a very simple Keras model with one input and one output, for your reference the architecture is:model = tf.keras.Sequential()model.add(tf.keras.layers.Dense(16, activation='relu', input_shape=(1,)))model.add(tf.keras.layers.Dense(16, activation='relu'))model.add(tf.keras.layers.Dense(1))I have two vectors x_test and y_test with shape (200,), the same shape of my validation arrays used during the training phase, and I saved a .npz dataset to quantize the network as follows:np.savez('testdata.npz',x_test=x_test,y_test=y_test)I am using the STM32.AI developer cloud to quantize the network. Quantization fails, and the log displays the message:Executing with: {'model': '... Converting original model to TFLite... cannot reshape array of size 200 into shape (1,1)So apparently the problem is the shape of the data in the .npz file. Which shape should have the test vectors in the .npz file?Best,Pie

Hi all,I am trying to do a simple code for writing and reading files in a SDHC Card, i am trying to start with this example code:https://community.st.com/s/article/how-to-create-a-file-system-on-a-sd-card-using-stm32bubeideHowever, when the code reaches f_mkfs((TCHAR const*)SDPath, FM_ANY, 0, rtext, sizeof(rtext));It stucks for 30 seconds an then returns FR_DISK_ERR, if i repeat the same operation without the SD Card, it returns FR_NOT_READYI have tried formatting the card, different cards, etc, same result.I attached the .ioc file, just if there is any missing configuation or something wrong...Thanks in advance

I have a custom-designed STM32F427 board that works with the code generated with STM32Cube V1.0 (Version 4.14.0). The design was based on an ST's STM32F427 eval board that supports ethernet MII configuration with DP83848 PHY chip. The ethernet works correctly under FreeRTOS+LWIP options. To try Azure RTOS for my new project with the same board, I have installed STM32Cube 6.4 and the necessary libraries for the STM32F4xx processor. So far, all the porting works when using ThreadX, FileX, and UsbX. When trying to enable the ethernet (NetX) for MII mode, I encountered a problem in that the DHCP client was unable to obtain an IP address from my router. I search through all the NX (NetX) examples from STM32Cube 6.4 and 6.5 but was unable to find one that uses MII mode. In this design, we are using DP83848 PHY chip. When selecting MII mode in "ETH Mode and Configuration" window, it displays "DP83848_PHY_ADDRESS". under PHY option. But in the "Network Interface->Ethernet Phy Interface" unde

When I compile my project from CubeMX generated project, I get the compile error:../../Drivers/CMSIS/Device/ST/STM32F1xx/Include/stm32f103xb.h:658:29: error: expected identifier before '(' tokenNow that line reads:#define USB         ((USB_TypeDef *)USB_BASE)I am using the STM32F103C8TxI have not configured any USB devices or anything.Any suggestions?

Hello,I am working on a SPC560P Discovery Board.I have imported test application 'SPC560Pxx RLACAN Test Application for Discovery' for FlexCAN testing. In this FlexCAN0 is used in loop back mode and it is working. But after disabling loop back mode,I cant see any data on the CAN_TX pin with scope.I configured the:b[0] as CAN0TXD output and b[1] as CAN0RXD input in the pinmap wizardDisable loopback modeEnable FlexCAN0 Use External ClockSet: PressDive =3 , PropSeg=2 , PSEG1=4 , PSEG2=7After i start the application the program gets stuck in the transmit while loop:while (can_lld_transmit(&CAND1,txmailbox, &txmsg)==CAN_MSG_WAIT){ }??????Its seems like that thecan_lld_is_tx_empty function returns FALSE and it breaks the can_lld_transmit function. Is the mailbox needs any additional configuration or I configured the CAN clock incorrectly? Thanks for your help and sorry for the the lot questions but I am new to 32bit controller programmi

I am using the CORDIC on an STM32G4 for a project and was curious about the difference in performance based on the compiler optimization level. With no optimizations, LL_CORDIC_FUNCTION_PHASE completed in 113 cycles. With O1 optimizations, LL_CORDIC_FUNCTION_PHASE completed in 31 cycles.I'm a bit confused by the huge disparity in execution times with and without optimization. Since the trig calculations occur in the CORDIC hardware, I wouldn't think that optimizations would have any effect. Additionally, the LL CORDIC function calls are simply inlines that access the peripheral registers, I wouldn't think there would be much to optimize there either.I took a look at the generated assembly and while I don't fully understand it, it seems that the difference is primarily in additional debug features. This makes sense, but I would like some confirmation that this is the case. Thanks. g_start_time = SysTick->VAL;   LL_CORDIC_WriteData(hcordic.Instance, cordic_input[0]); LL_CORDIC_

I have a project using ThreadX, NetX, and FileX. The NetX and FileX code generation is initializing at least one instance but nothing in ThreadX. I can create it but it is a little concerning that in the init there is only:UINT App_ThreadX_Init(VOID *memory_ptr) { UINT ret = TX_SUCCESS; /* USER CODE BEGIN App_ThreadX_MEM_POOL */   /* USER CODE END App_ThreadX_MEM_POOL */   /* USER CODE BEGIN App_ThreadX_Init */   /* USER CODE END App_ThreadX_Init */   return ret; }where in the other filex and netx sections there is significant initialization. My fear is that I have not checked off something correctly in cubeMX, and later on it may decide to create code that duplicates my efforts.Did I miss something?Using:STM32CubeIDEVersion: 1.12.1Build: 16088_20230420_1057 (UTC)with embedded STM32CubeMX   6.8.1.202304191431OS: Linux (LMint 21 - Cinnamon)

Hi coomunity.. Very easy question this time.. Is this development board ok for testing a custom bootloader from usb for updating fw from a text file inside the usb ? https://www.st.com/en/evaluation-tools/32f429idiscovery.html
