Hello,I followed the STMicro YouTube tutorial for developing an external QSPI loader. I am using the W25Q128 attached to the NUCLEO-H7A3ZI-Q. The flash is working fine with my driver using the test program "main_test.c" provided with the tutorial, and I can access the flash contents at 0x090000000 in memory-mapped mode from the STM32CubeIDE debugger. I compile the external loader with the linker script provided in the tutorial and move the .stldr file into the external loader folder for STMCubeProgrammer. I select my loader from the list of loaders, but when I try to view external flash contents at 0x090000000, I get data read failed. If I try to download data to the external flash from STMCubeProgrammer I get:16:35:41 : Time elapsed during the read operation is: 00:00:00.00916:35:50 : Memory Programming ...16:35:50 : Opening and parsing file: testbinary1M.bin16:35:50 : File : testbinary1M.bin16:35:50 : Size : 1.13 MB16:35:50 : Address : 0x0900000016:35:50 : Erasing memory correspondin

Hi,I bought two same board and use one to test.After upgrade stlinux on this testing board, the cpu it can recognize is only one when the other one can recognize it two.could you give me a guide to fix it and why this happened?Thanks.

Hello,The STEVAL-SMARTAG1 firmware has been very helpful - however the .zip file does not contain the CubeMX file - just the generated initialization code.Would it be possible to obtain a copy of the original CubeMX .ioc file please?Thanks,Evan

I have STM32MP157A-DK1 boardI am using distribution package.I want to add c++ library based on cmake to my distribution.I crated the recipe using commanddevtool add --no-same-dir ../pass/to/mylibThen build usingbitbake mylibThe build is done but I get this error bu do_package_qa"do_package_qa: QA Issue: -dev package mylib-dev contains non-symlink .so '/usr/lib/mylib.so' [dev-elf]"what is the reason for such error and how to overcome it?ThanksHossam

    I have made a custom pcb of STEVAL-ISV019V1  circuit. In that ,we need to charge 3.7v lithium ion battery via USB supply and solar panel. When I connect USB supply or panel voltage as input voltage  the complete input voltage is coming in the battery charging point. where as the lithium battery can only  be charged  up to 4.2V.when I measure the open voltage at battery charging point it appears greater than 4.2V.How can we set the charging voltage  and also how can I measure the open voltage at fully charged condition?

Hello everyone,In my sample project I have created, RTC does not perceive certain months as 31 days. Although it is 31 days in July, October, December, I took the same result in my essays with a code sample with an RTC code.I don't have problems in January, March, and August.What are your ideas? July 30 -> 01 august (Problem)Func:HAL_RTC_SetTime(&hrtc,&updateTime,RTC_FORMAT_BIN);HAL_RTC_SetDate(&hrtc,&updateDate,RTC_FORMAT_BIN); Card I used: F407VG 168mhz

Hi,I use STM32CubeMx 6.9.1 on a STM32H563 project. Programming the I2C pins, there is no way to setup the I2C_SCL pin as Alternate PushPull. Only the Alternate Open Drain is possible. Why?In my application, the I2C_SCL pin is connected to a serial EEPROM, and in my opinion there is no reason to not have this possibility.Or I forget something?

Hello.I am trying to establish a USB CDC connection with a Windows 10 computer using the STM3210E-EVAL. I can't get it to work. After starting, I connect the board to the PC via USB and the following message appears in the device manager:   Is there a small example somewhere that shows how data is received and sent via USB-CDC?Thank you, and greetingsRasmus

I have a custom board with a stm32mp151c and 256M DRAM.Trying to get optee 3.12 from ecosystem 3.0.0 to start.Everything works fine with tf-a 2.4-r1 and sp_min, u-boot 2020.10 etc.But I can't get optee to start. I've enabled a high loglevel and the last print I get from optee is:...I/TC: Pager is enabled. Hashes: 2208 bytesThen everything goes quiet. No stacktrace, fault, or anything else. Just "dead".To me, this looks like some very basic issue with DRAM sizes etc. But I can't say for sure.My dts looks correct with memory regions and declarations.But I noticed that in the build conf.mk was getting some weird stuff.CFG_DRAM_SIZECFG_SHMEM_STARTCFG_TZDRAM_STARTThese three had some wonky values for a 256M board. And they seem to be used?So my conclusion is that it does not suffice to set dts properties for optee, some tweaking of platform memory sizes (looks like there are options for 512M 1G etc, but not 256M) needs to be done.Anything else that needs to be fixed for a 256M board?Maybe t

Hi, i'm realative new to using ST products and i'm currently trying to debug with the STM32F205RCT6 using the ST-LINK V2 with the debug protocol SWD. but it's simply not worinking, it keeps saying No device found on target.  This is how it's connected:- PIN 19, 32, 48 and 64 to the 3,3V- PIN 18 and 63 to the GND- PIN 7 to the RST- PIN 60 to the GND- PIN 49 to the SWCLK- PIN 46 to the SWDIO (this one is connected with a pull-up resistor of 100k ohm)- PIN 60 to the GND (and tried to 3,3V)- PIN 28 to the GND This is what i have tried so far in order to have it to work:-checked with the osciloscoop if and a PCBite to see if the signals for clock and data to go the exact pin of the chip-checked with a multi meter if the pins are getting power.-replace the MCU with another one  Plz take a look at the photos i have attach. i have a felling that i have done something wrong and i don't know what it is. if there is more information needed let me know.

Hi, I am working on a project with STM32H730. Due to layout limitations, we'd like to use TIM2 channels 3 and 4 rather than 1 and 2 for encoder mode if possible. Is this possible?

I am trying to configure the TIM5 to get timestamp in milliseconds for a long period (over 40 seconds).Here is the current configuration of TIM5:// This function inits and start the timers usedvoid timer_init(void) { __HAL_RCC_TIM5_CLK_ENABLE(); TIM5->PSC = (HAL_RCC_GetPCLK1Freq() / 1000000) - 1; TIM5->CR1 |= TIM_CR1_CEN;}We did observed an overflow problem after about 40 seconds, our timeout were taking for ever to expire after the first 40 seconds. So we did use this test code to gather data:snprintf(printbuff, sizeof(printbuff), "Timer 5 ARR %X PSC %X CR1 %X CR2 %X EGR %X RCR %X\n",                                       TIM5->ARR, TIM5->PSC, TIM5->CR1, TIM5->CR2, TIM5->EGR, TIM5->RCR);send_uart(printbuff, strlen(printbuff));while (true){    uint32_t mltime = TIM5->CNT;    HAL_Delay(1000);    uint32_t mctime = TIM5->CNT;

Hello,I am developing a system using VL53L1X.I have read UM2510 (A guide to using the VL53L1X ultra lite driver).This library implements the function called "StartTemperatureUpdate".The description for this function states, "This function performs the temperature calibration."The function declaration is written as:  VL53L1X_ERROR VL53L1X_StartTemperatureUpdate(uint16_t dev);  I'm curious as to why this function doesn't require the actual temperature as an input.The mechanism of temperature calibration, please let me know.It would be helpful if you could introduce related documents and URLs for reference.Best Regards.

Hi, I'm testing some VL53L4CX for about 10 months with nrf52832 using I2C. It's used in very dark conditions and within 3m and I take 15 measures 24 times a day.Between periods of measures I completely power off the sensor with an LDO.It works fine for long period (1 month or more) and sometimes it starts a long period of consecutive bad measures.(15 measures with status <> 0). It can last more than one week and it comes back to normal for several weeks...I used the example of SimpleRanging code in app_tof.c only adapted for nrf52:- power on + I2C_Init + MX_TOF_Init + MX_TOF_Process + MX_TOF_DeInit + I2C_DeInit + power offMore than once, I just put the device in ambient light and it resumed the correct measurements...Questions:- How is it possible that it seems to stay in bad configuration despite of powering off the sensor?- Is it a way to reset to factory values when I have bad measurement?Thanks for your answers.

I have PM-SMPSM motor that I'm trying to get to spin with the STSPIN3201 - I seem to be able to configure the project in the MC workbench, generate code, and load it onto the micro through CubeIDE just fine - but no matter what I do, the motor moves slightly when I try to spin it up, and the rotor locks in a fixed position.  More specifically, it seems to on first boot do a search to determine the encoder/winding relationship by doing a short ramp, but then it does the rotor lock every time I request a speed.  The rotor isn't locking in a fixed position, but it seems to be cogging to one of several fixed positions and locking there.  Things I have tried:I have confirmed that the encoder is working by spinning the motor manually and watching the speed, plotted by motor pilotI have changed the phase winding order of the motor, trying each possible phase wiring in turn, just to make sure it's not just commutating incorrectlyI've plotted current on the scope, it looks ok in

Hi,LWIP: what is the difference between udp_send() and udp_sendto()?What are the use cases for each? The LWIP_RAW_CLIENT ECHO uses udp_send() but also uses udp_connect. Whereas udp_sendto() does not need to connect?Does anyone have example? Thanks

When I try to communicate my STM32L4P5-DK through SPI protocol. I fed the MOSI and SCK pin to the oscilloscope and checked the output there I got several doubts1) when I send a data 0xAA to the slave ( HAl_SPI_Transmit(&hspi2,0xAA,1,10) ) with the baud rate of 187.5kBits/sec the time period was 5us app(each bit is shifted at falling edge as per my configuration) but here MOSI otput is not as expected      2) when I try to send 0xFF the expected MOSI output is the MOSI pin should remain high for 8 falling edges of SCK but it was not that I got on the scope.The below picture shown the 0xFF data in  MOSI(Yellow) and SCK (Green) 3) also the SCK is not a continuous signal, SCK  maintains 0 for each 8 cycles with a regular period of time why?

We are using the STM32MP157AABx device in our project and updating to the v5.0 Ecosystem and STM32CubeMX v6.9.0.When we generate our device tree files, the optee-os device tree tries to include:#include "stm32mp15xxab-pinctrl.dtsi"This file is not found in the optee-os-stm32mp v3.19.0 source tree referenced in the v5.0 Ecosystem.I have had to manually modify the dts to include:# include "stm32mp15xxac-pinctrl.dtsi"This is the closest match, but not equivalent to the number of gpio banks in the AABx package.Is this an issue with optee-os-stm32mp source code, the CubeMX tool, or user error in our configuration?

I need help with USART LOGGER _ON enabling. How to enable logger to send serial data via usart?I have in logger.h  - #define LOGGER_ON 1, also in logger.c #if (USE_LOGGER == LOGGER_ON).....#endif /* #if USE_LOGGER == LOGGER_ON */and platform.hHow to "USE_LOGGER" flag set to 1 (enabling logger) in main.c, where to put  USE_LOGGER = LOGGER_ON? Is it enabled via Cube_MX?

hello, i have a problem. When I make my LWIP configurations and try to ping my development board over the computer, I see a different address, not the IP address I set for my card. What is the reason of this? Do you have an idea?When I ping the IP address of the computer's ethernet port, I can successfully get a response.

Today I received several of my LED2000DR based LED boards. Everything worked flawlessly when using the chip as a plain LED driver. However, after trying to feed a PWM signal into the DIM pin the dimming worked for about a second but then the board went into a dead short. The input measures 0.7 Ohms on my DMM now. The only thing on the board is the LED2000DR and the LEDs it's powering. I tried this on several boards afterwards with the same result, some fail open, some fail as a short. The PWM was a 1000Hz 3.3V square wave with a variable duty cycle generated with a microcontroller (I also tried a PWM with full input voltage swing with a signal gen, but same result). Connecting the DIM pin to the positive/negative supply without any PWM worked fine. The ICs were obtained from DigiKey and have the following markings on them: "LED2K0", "G9302". Bellow I am attaching the schematic of the circuit in question.Please advise me how I can get dimming to work.Thank you.

Hello all,I need some help with a project I'm working on trying to help a disabled elderly family member. basically he have a 600L aquarium that stands on a cabinet, inside the cabinet are all of the aquarium support systems and one of them is small rectangular 10-15L that holds clean water with some nutrient/fertilizers mixed in ( can't remember exactly the name of this tank ) and every once in a while a small amount of water 100/300ml from this tank gets pumped up to the aquarium. its challenging for him to get up every time to check how full or empty the smaller tank is since he needs to squat/bend over to open the cabinet doors which he really having hard time to do. so I suggested that maybe I can help and put some kind of a sensor that will measure the water level ( in % ) in the tank and show it on a small tft display that I can mount on the outside of the cabinet door. that way he doesn't need to unnecessarily go to the cabinet and check, only when actually that tank reads low

Hi,I configured USB FS on my STM32WB55 NUCLEO Board and it works as I expected (configured as CDC). I can send and receive data to/from Host (my PC) but now I have the need to suspend temporarly Data Flow and then reprise it.My goal is to collect some data, elaborate them and then get some other data from host. To do so, I need to "suspend" USB communication end then "Resume" it. I tried to use USBD_LL_Suspend() and USBD_LL_Resume() but it seems like to get communication stuck.In particular, when I call USBD_LL_Suspend(), Host does not send data any longer and calling USBD_LL_Resume() seems like to have no effect.Any idea/suggestion?Thanks a lot in advance!Simo.

Hello,I am using STM32G041C8T6 controller and I am facing an issue with ADC even for a simplest conversion on ADC Channel 0. I am providing 2.12V on the Channel 0 (PA0) pin and the conversion result is always 4095. The signal comes from a voltage divider, tapped from the mid point of two 10K resistors put between 5V and GND. Infact the resistor towards the ground is a 10K NTC temperature sensor, so at 25*C the voltage is exactly 2.5V, and decreses with increasing temperature. I'm not using any DMA, interrupts, just polling as per the reference code for G0 series.I am following the simplest conversion of 1 channel with the following initialization from CubeIDE:static void MX_ADC1_Init(void) { ADC_ChannelConfTypeDef sConfig = {0}; /** Configure the global features of the ADC (Clock, Resolution, Data Alignment and number of conversion) */ hadc1.Instance = ADC1; hadc1.Init.ClockPrescaler = ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; hadc1.Init.Resolution = ADC_RESOLUTION_12B; hadc1.Init.DataAlign = ADC_DA
