Solved

Im using Nucleo-H755 i have using this board for the last 3 months usually i get some Errors like no target found but i have solved those by viewing in the community chats but this Error: No STM32 target found! If your product embeds Debug Authentication, please perform a discovery using Debug Authentication i have tried every thing i know and suggestions in the other posts like connect under reset , boot0 high , power down mode but i couldnt get it connected while connect the board  there is a file in the H755 storagenamed FAIL.txt in that this msg is present The interface firmware FAILED to reset/halt the target MCU is there any other way to flash the board

Hello,I'm just started using a nucleo-h742x. I have configured the SPI and the Fatfs library using the default settings, the SPI speed was configured at speed below 1Mbit/s. The sys clock is below 100MHz.I always get disk_not_ready error when trying to mount the drive (error code 3).The problem is that I don't see any signal on the MOSI line when a transaction should appear. I have also tried a simple HAL_spi_transmit(), but I have the same problem. I see the clock appearing but no signal on MOSI.Someone has some suggestions? On other STM32 M4/M3/M0 I have no problem using the same code.

Using the STM32F030RC, the program that originally ran at 0x800000 was moved to 0x8020000. After the move, SysTick_Handler() is no longer executed, causing HAL_Delay() to fail. Has anyone encountered this issue before?

In TouchGFX Designer, images can be easily be stored in external flash by designating the Section to ExtFlashSection within the program itself. As far as I can tell there is no way to do this for videos using the user interface. I know the images are designated to external flash using "LOCATION_PRAGMA("ExtFlashSection")" within the image's .cpp file. Is this the appropriate statement for video files and where should the statement be placed? There is no video.cpp file, there is a video.bin file and a reference to it in the VideoDatabase.hpp file. Thank you.

Both the storage protection unit and the microprocessor unit are abbreviated MPU. How to use the abbreviation in order to prevent conflicts ?

Hi,I'm working on a STM32G030C8T6 based personal project and recently done a revision 2 to fix some annoyances and add some status LEDs. Programming and debugging is done via a STLink V3 and the SWD. I've encountered twice the same strange behaviour, with the second time replicating the first step-by-step:Board is all wired up, I open STM32CubeIDE and launch debugging. Debugger connects without problem to the board and upload the firmware to it. Just to see if everything is working properly I step through the code.HAL_Init() executes without problems, SystemClock_Config() (configured with CubeMX and known to work as intended in the previous hardware) somehow jumps to 0x1FFFxxxx. I find it strange and I do a terminate and relaunch. In the second attempt SystemClock_Config() executes normally but it doesn't go much further: this time it's a memset() that makes the code jump to 0x1FFFxxxx.I decide to power cycle the board. The board has its own PSU which is fed from a bench power supply an

According to this article the signing tool is a part of STM32CubeProgrammer. I need a signing tool during my Yocto build to be able to build signed images. The best way to guarantee a reproducibility of the build is to launch it in a dedicated container (to make sure the host system is the same on all developer / CI machines). So the few questions are:I can't automatically download only the signing tool, can I? The download of STM32CubeProgrammer package requires for me to accept the license. It seems that STM32CubeProgrammer installer doesn't have any command line options. I would like to at least have unattended installation, automatically accepting the license and setting installation path in a non-interactive way. CubeProggrammer installation manual doesn't mention any. All that is required, for example, during 'docker build' execution. Is there an open source signing tool alternative?

Im new to TouchGFX. Im goung to create my first demostration on a custom setup.I got a NUCLEO-L4A6ZG board with a display shield using an MCU interface. This works:Internal frame buffer 320x240x2 bytesDriver for display, bit banging GPIOs for display controlTask that maps the frame buffer to the display periodically. When I alter the frame buffer manually it is is shown correctly on the display.I have no touch controller on the hardware, expecting to use hardware buttons. This should have been the hard part. But now I have to get TouchGFX working. I got:Two screens defined in the TouchGFX designer with buttons that alters between the screens.Works on simulatorGenerates code with no warnings/errors.Everything compiles in STM32MXCube IDE.From the main function MX_TouchGFX_Init and MX_TouchGFX_PreOSInit is called, and returned.A second task calls the MX_TouchGFX_Process which does not return ast it should not.In the project browser I can see code generated for the screens and the buttons on

Hi,I am looking for wireless solution which supports below protocols.1> LoRaWAN.2> Sigfox3> WMbus.I am also looking for firmware integration for all of the above protocols and need to find that the firmware will support all of the protocols at same time? I googled it and came to the ST's wireless chip "STM32WL". According to datasheet they support all of 3 protocols.I can see that ST has the wireless software framework support using STM32CubeWL. But does it having the firmware stack for all of the above mentioned protocols? If it is then does it support all in same firmware? Please help me correct the understanding.Thankin you.Jaudeep.

Hello,My STM32L476RG Nucleo board does not read out the RTC time after i updated cube IDE to 1.17When calling "HAL_RTC_GetTime" the subtask in "stm32l4xx_hal_rtc.c" sTime->Hours = (uint8_t)((tmpreg & RTC_TR_HT|RTC_TR_HU))>>RTC_TR_HU_Pos); the current time is NOT written into the sTime.Hours or Minutes. The MCU stucks with the current value that it got during a reset. Interestingly when doing a reset the value changes to the real internal time that ran when the supply is not removed. When i go to "Debug" i can read out the MCU registers TR,HU,.... and when i am watching into that registers, the MCU works normally and writes the sTime.Minutes and Hours correctly. Does anybody know why the MCU does not get the Time data, only when reseting or "debugging the registers"?

Hi,I have been reading a few app notes but still a bit confused about some things...A custom board I am working with has an STM32U5G9VJT6Q MCU driving a DSI touch display. The PCB has QSPI and SDMMC but it does not have SDRAM.In the application, the graphics to be displayed are only simple graphics and very slow graphic animation (think 2 frames GIF), no photos and no videos.A few clarifications if someone could please explain:1. What implications and/or restrictions are present because of the lack of SDRAM?2. Can the SDMMC or the QSPI act as the frame buffer given there is no SDRAM on the PCB)?3. if yes, which one would be preferred the preferred choice?4. Considering that it is only simple graphics/slow-graphic-animation, can the images be fetched directly from the SDMMC or the QSPI through the DMA? Thank you :)

hi,I was trying to open Jpeg files from SD card and show them on LCD. LCD works, SDMMC works, I open the File System, I can read if its FAT32, I can read free space etc. But When I want to open a file or create a file on system it fails.* I always get  FR_NO_FILE when I want to read a file.* There is no error when I want to create a file and write something in it. But When I put the SD on PC There is no such file in it.* Also I cannot read the label of the SDCard.* Dcache disable & enable does not change the result. Here is my Code sample :** I've tried "0:" lately but it does not changed anything.  What should I do ?void process_SD_card( void ) { FATFS FatFs; //Fatfs handle FIL fil; //File handle FRESULT fres; //Result after operations char buf[100]; FRESULT res; char buff[20]; int x=0; do { //Mount the SD Card fres = f_mount(&FatFs, "0:", 1); //1=mount now if (fres != FR_OK) { printf("No SD Card found : (%i)\r\n", fres); break; } printf("SD Car

Hi,what are the lowest cost STM32 that support full graphics (static and minimal animation like a progress bar or spin control) with RGB/parallel interface (not DSI nor SPI)?Is there perhaps a comparison table that addresses such display-related requirements to help select a micro? If not, any tips, suggestions or guidelines would are much appreciated.Thank you

Hi folks, I hope you're able to help me out. I need to replace a few of the components in the picture. Sorry for the poor quality.I did of course google the markings but have had no results. - The measurements of the package is 2.4mm x 4.2mm.- To me it seems that in the top-left, is the STMicroelectronics logo.- Next it says "e3" in a circle. Next to that it says "VU" or VO".- The middle line says "DUK".- The last line seems to say "GP944".- The left side if the chip seems to have a line marking polarity.- I believe the component to be either a diode or a uni-polar capacitor.                         Thanks in advance and best regards-Kenneth

Board STM32H7474I-DISCO, TouchGFX V4.24.2.If you keep the analog/digital clock examples running (in the evaluatation board) for (say) 10 minutes then the clock on the LCD screen will be more than 15-25 seconds behind your watch. This is a massive delay: 15-25 seconds delay during 600 seconds is not nothing.Probably reasons (my ideas)The SystemTick (VSYNC = 60Hz, 16.6667ms) is not accurate and it is not generated by an MCU Timer. Hard to believe it.All the examples update the hour/minute/second display (on the LCD) from the TouchGFX's handleTickEvent() interrupt service routine. The update runs once in every second. I can imagine that updating the LCD takes more than 16.6667ms so when the next system tick interrupt occurs the interrupt service is still in service. This way we can miss a couple of system ticks. It would be nice to know which statement is right and how to resolve this issue.I tried to open TouchGFX Academy Tutorial3 example in STMCubeMX and create a new, dedicated timer wi

I am looking for the latest Bill of Materials (BOM) for the STM32 Nucleo F401RE development board. Could you kindly provide the updated document or a link to access it?Thank you for your assistance.

STM32WB5MMG datasheet says ANT_NC should be connected to no-connect pad on board.  But then, example ground plane seems to connect to ANT_NC.  Which is right?

What does this error mean for the I2C interface? I have it on the connection between the LORA E5 Mini and the SI7021 sensor. The debugger stops here:Exactly at his method call:  /* Wait until TXIS flag is set */ if (I2C_WaitOnTXISFlagUntilTimeout(hi2c, Timeout, Tickstart) != HAL_OK) { return HAL_ERROR; }    As you can see, the I2C is in the HAL_I2C_STATE_READY.I have four items of the same sensor tested with this LORA device, and all behave the same, so I think a hardware error should be excluded.

I have the following big problem:I had installed previously release 6.2.0 of STM32CubeMX and everything works fine. Then i uninstall this release and update to the new one 6.3.0.Now the programm craches after start. An backgroundprocess at windows for java (OpenJDK Platform binary) appears, but that's all. The program/app window doesn't appear anymore. A reinstallation of the older release 6.2.0 doesn't help. The OpenJDK Platform binary process remains as backgroundprocess "forever".I have also tried out what happen when i start STM32CubeProgrammer: backgroundprocess at windows for java (OpenJDK Platform binary) appears also, but after a short while the process becomes an app. The backgroundprocess disappear.I not really know what i should do now...

HiI'm trying to connect an SD card to my Nucleo U5A5ZJ-Q board using SDMMC peripheral and use it with FatFS library. When I use 1GB card and 4 bit mode, everything works fine. By "works fine" I mean that:1. it passes this FatFS test: http://elm-chan.org/fsw/ff/res/app4.c2. it is able to create a working text file. But there are 2 problems:1. 1 bit SDMMC mode doesn't work. When I'm trying to use it, the FatFS test fails at an SD card write. After clicking around in STM32CubeIDE debugger I found that there is a CRC error in SD callback being set as status, which then leads to a timeout and test fail. This problem isn't critical, because 4 bit mode seems to work, but it worries me a bit.2. 16GB and 32GB cards don't work. They get a bit further (to reading), but fail in a simmilar way (SD callback -> CRC error -> timeout -> test fail). I haven't been able to test 2-8GB cards yet. This is more of a problem, because it's getting harder and harder to get such small capacity cards. The

Looking through the RM0440 and the datasheet on the STM32G4,I can't find information on the maximum recommended frequency for modulCANFD.Or it may be the same as for microcontroller up to 170 MHz?HSE 8mhz -> PllM /2 -> PLLx85 /R /2 ... APB1 /1 -> PCLK1 170                                  or                /Q /2 - > 170   There are also some strange things))Or maybe I don't understand yet. After startup, the registers are set to default values. For different frequencies. 44.4.3FDCAN data bit timing and prescaler register (FDCAN_DBTP)Address offset: 0x000CReset value: 0x0000 0A33..Note:With an FDCAN clock of 8 MHz, the reset value 0x0000 0A33 configures the FDCAN for afast bit rate of 500 kbit/s.The data phase bit rate must be higher than or equal to the nominal bit rate FDCAN nominal bit timing and prescaler register (FDCAN_NBTP

Hi,I tried downloading TouchGFX but even after following the instructions and using the same browser and validating the email and using the same browser, it displays the message below. Where else can I download the latest TouchGFX from?Also:- what is the difference between X-CUBE-TOUCHGFX and X-TOUCHGFX-MPU (second screenshot)- does the latest version include TouchGFX, TouchGFX Designer and all required libraries and code generator in one single package/download?Thank you

Hi there,I'm looking for development boards that can support I3C at full SDR speed (12.5MHz), and I have the following MCUs that we can try I3C from the AN5879 application note:STM32H5 series.STM32H7R3/7S3 line.STM32H7R7/7S7 line.On the other hand, I found STM32H7B3I-DK, which can work with the integrated peripherals without adding extensions, but it uses the STM32H7B3LIH6QU chip (STM32H7B3), which is not in the list above. Is there any update from the AN5879's release date (June 2024) with I3C-compatible MCUs so we can find more development boards to try I3C?Also, does ST maintain a place to check for updated I3C-compatible MCUs and boards?Thank you,Daniel.

Hello,I am facing some strange errors when trying to analyze any TFLite model. The errors are occurring in the following situations:Situation 1: STM32Cube.AI MCU RuntimeWhen analyzing a TFLite model, it fails and shows an error message: "TOOL ERROR: List index out of range."Situation 2: STM32Cube.AI Neural-ART RuntimeAfter clicking on the Analyze button, it's stuck at 0%. Nothing else happens, even after I wait for 30 minutes.I am using:CubeIDE version: 1.17.0X-CUBE-AI version: 9.0.0 and 9.1.0Please note that all those TFLite models work fine with CubeIDE 1.16.0, X-CUBE-AI 9.0.0, and STM32H7A3.I am attaching 2 tflite models for your reference.

Hi,I want to use ECMF02-4CMX8 as ESD protection and filtering means for a isolated USB 2.0 downstream port design. The chosen connector is a Type C receptacle. My question pertains to pin function of ECMF02-4CMX8.The type C connector exposes two configuration pins, CC1 and CC2.Can I connect CC1 to pin 4 and CC2 to pin 1 ?From the datasheet I know the pin 1 is reserved to VBUS and pin 4 is reserved to ID, however I prefer to assign this 1 pin to CC2, and route VBUS to a separate over-voltage protection chip (MAX14699EWC+).Is my choice correct and safe ?I attach the proposed schematic for the complete interface.Thank you for any helpGabriele
