> storage protection unit
Huh?
Whether MPU means memory protection unit or microprocessor can be gleaned from the surrounding context in which they are used. Like any other abbreviation. Is it talking about a chip? microprocessor. Is it talking about protecting regions of memory? memory protection unit. There really should not be any ambiguity here. If you use the term and it could be interpreted in either way, spell it out instead.
