Does anyone know how to see and set the cacheable status of memory regions in an MP25x series micro? It is very simple for the H755: you pull up the cores in the Cube, and the MPU fields are all there to fill out. The memory regions outlined in the RIF sections for the MP2 do not seem to offer this option. Thanks

I am working on a project to connect QSPI flash memory to a PC as a USB mass storage device (MSC) using USBX, FILEX, LVLX, and THREADX on an STM32. This setup should allow the QSPI flash to appear as a drive in Windows.Previously, I successfully implemented a similar project using the MCU's internal RAM as the storage medium. However, after switching to QSPI flash, I encounter the error message: 'Please insert a disk into USB Drive' when connecting the device to a PC.To debug this issue, I tested the QSPI flash read/write functionality using FILEX + LVLX + THREADX without USBX, and it worked perfectly. This suggests the problem lies in the integration with USB MSC.I am including my code for review. Could anyone help identify any potential errors or missing steps in my implementation? Additionally, are there specific areas I should focus on to resolve this issue? Thank you.EDIT :lastlba ux_device_msc.c

Hello,I am trying to set up FileX with USBX, but my computer recognizes a disk drive but does not see any volume. Can you help me determine whether I am using the fx_media_format and fx_media_open functions correctly, given that they do not return any errors?  UINT ret = FX_SUCCESS; /* USER CODE BEGIN MX_FileX_Init */ UINT RETT = lx_stm32_nor_custom_driver_initialize(&nor_flash); /* USER CODE END MX_FileX_Init */ /* Initialize FileX. */ fx_system_initialize(); /* USER CODE BEGIN MX_FileX_Init 1*/ /* Format the NOR flash as FAT */ status = fx_media_format(&nor_flash_disk, fx_stm32_levelx_nor_driver, // Driver entry (VOID*)&nor_flash, // Device info pointer (VOID*)NOR_CUSTOM_DRIVER_ID (UCHAR*)media_memory, // Media buffer pointer sizeof(media_memory), // Media buffer size "NOR_FLASH_DISK", // Volume Name 1, // Number of FATs 32, // Directory Entries 0, // Hidden sectors TOTAL_SECTOR_LOGICAL, // Total sectors SECTOR_SIZE

Hi all，I now use ST25R3920B as a card reader on the official nucleo nfc08A1 of ST to read cards. However, I found that when the card was detected by 3920B, the current increased to 300mA, but the maximum current borne by PCB was 350mA.Can I reduce the current and how should I operate the configuration software code?

Hello,I'm working with B-WL5M-SUBG1 hardware for experiencing STM32WL5MOCH6U. I ran the application from Repository\STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.3.1\Projects\B-WL5M-SUBG1\Applications\SigfoxI got current of about 2.3mA in standby mode instead of  less than 1uA as specified in the datasheet and I discovered that the 5V_PWR LED(LD4 Green) was ON.I broke the SB14 to prevent the 5V_PWR LED from turning on: Current down to 900uA-950uA band with this move. After that I applied this post's recommendations. Current down to 875uA-810uA band. But I unfortinatelly I'm still far away from 1uA. Anyone has soluion?

Hello ST Brightsense Team,Would like to know if the VD66GY Linux driver (STSW-IMG503_V4L2) will work on an NXP IMX8M Mini (no hardware ISP) ?  If not will it work with the IMX8M Mini Plus (with Hardware ISP).Currently using the STEVAL-66GYMAI.In the STSW-IMG503_V4L2 package, the provided driver / device tree seems for the Raspberry PI, what would be the required changes for that to work on NXP IMX8 platform ? Is the vd56g3.json ISP tuning file required ( no libcamera installed, only using Gstreamer)... Thank you.

So I am reading the RM0008 Reference manual because I need to describe some limits for my systemI am looking for the UARTs tolerance of clock drifton page 800 I am confused by these tables: In my case DIV_FRACTION is different from 0 and the M bit is 0The way I read the table... the Noise Flag triggers as an error if there is more than 3.33% clock drift...but... it does not care if there is 3.88%...This makes no sense so... am I misunderstanding something  or?Link to the document in question:https://www.st.com/resource/en/reference_manual/rm0008-stm32f101xx-stm32f102xx-stm32f103xx-stm32f105xx-and-stm32f107xx-advanced-armbased-32bit-mcus-stmicroelectronics.pdf

Follow-on from: Help for porting from MDK to CubeIDE.HiI am now working on porting an MDK example to CubeIDE on an F767-based customized board with 32MB SDRAM and an LCD interface.At the moment, the build of the ported example in CubeIDE gives following erorr message:The following is the original code of the example targeting on ARM compiler:static __align(64) uint8_t mem1base[160*1024]; static __align(64) uint8_t mem2base[28912*1024] __attribute__((at(0XC01F4000))); static __align(64) uint8_t mem3base[60*1024] __attribute__((at(0X20000000))); static uint32_t mem1mapbase[160*1024/64]; static uint32_t mem2mapbase[28912*1024/64] __attribute__((at(0XC01F4000 + 28912*1024))); static uint32_t mem3mapbase[60*1024/64] __attribute__((at(0X20000000 + 60*1024))); Now after the porting, the code is changed to:/* mem1 (internal RAM) (64 bytes alignment) */ __attribute__((section(".mem1base.mem1_base"))) static uint8_t mem1base[160 * 1024] = { 0 }; // mem2 (32MB external SDRAM) // 64 byt

So, I'm trying to increase my ENOB from 13.7 bits to 16 bits or higher through the hardware Oversampling system, if possible:MCU: STM32H750V1) If I increase the Oversampler ratio to 128 or 256 without any bit shift, do I get the increased ENOB?2) My application does not need the absolute accuracy, only precision(or resolution), and low noise. How can I increase the ADC bits to 17 or 18 bits, and receive 18-bit data in my memory buffer?I use 16-bit DMA transfers into a 16-bit Memory buffer, and everything works. Then, as soon as I change the DMA and buffer size to 32 bits to receive higher bits, I get very large and wrong values, what would be the culprit? I'm out of the Application Notes and Reference Manual to read, and I couldn't see a clear explanation of how to do bit shifting or achieve higher than 16-bit resolutions..And the Fact that I'm a bit of a noob doesn't have to do anything with it of course.Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,I have custom board with STM32N6. I followed guidelines how to enable the ITM console:https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus/using-the-itm-console-for-printf-redirects-and-lwip-debug/ta-p/723472The System Core Clock is set to 600MHz, confirmed with variable SystemCoreClock=600. The Trace Anynchronus Sw is selected and PB3 connected.Simple ITM_SendChar(101); gets executed but no output in the console. I tried 600MHz core clock for the Serial Wire Viewer, also many other clock frequencies like 75MHz (TPIU clock), but none is working. Are there any special steps to configure ITM console on STM32N6?

Please read this post: How to insert source code I have a custom board using an STM32H735VGT6 MCU, and I’m trying to configure it to run at different system frequencies, starting from the lowest (170 MHz) and eventually up to the maximum (520 MHz or 550 MHz). I’m using an external 8 MHz crystal as the clock source. My plan is to start at 170 MHz using VOS3 mode (since it supports up to 170 MHz) and later switch to higher VOS levels (VOS2, VOS1, VOS0) for higher frequencies. To check whether the MCU is running at the desired frequency, I set up a timer and assign the timer counter value to a variable to monitor in STM32CubeMonitor, basically to see how many counts per second I get. Here’s the code: /* USER CODE BEGIN Header */ /** ****************************************************************************** * @file

Hello, I would like to know if this PTP client example from Netxduo can be used on an STM32H723 MCU: https://github.com/eclipse-threadx/rtos-docs/blob/main/rtos-docs/netx-duo/netx-duo-ptp-client/chapter1.md Another MCU, the STM32N6 has this implementation here: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeN6/tree/main/Projects/NUCLEO-N657X0-Q/Applications/NetXDuo/Nx_PTP_Client I wanted to confirm if the STM32H723 does support that example because i am looking at https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/x-cube-azrtos-h7/tree/main/Projects and I cannot find any ... Thank you.

Hi, I have a STM32N6570-DK and I see that the available demo code is up to v1.3.0How do I determine what version of code was shipped on the DK?Is there a document that details how to upgrade the code if it’s needed?STM32N6-OOBSTM32N6570-DK Out-of-the-box demo binary1.3.0Thanks, Tony

Hi everyone,I'm working on an STM32 project using STM32CubeIDE. I'm using the built-in debugger with ST-LINK and UART (via HTerm) to monitor communication between the STM32 and a host PC.Here's something odd I noticed:When I click the "Debug" button in STM32CubeIDE (but before I press "Resume"), I already see some UART output in HTerm, like:AA 00 40 02 00 00 4D 55AA 00 50 02 00 00 2A 55Then, when I press "Resume", the same two messages are sent again. So in total I see them twice. This seems strange because I wouldn't expect the UART to be transmitting anything before the code is running (i.e., before Resume is hit). But clearly, something is happening during the debugger halt or initialization phase. Is this normal? Is it common for STM32CubeIDE to somehow "pre-run" some initialization code before Resume?Could it be something about HAL_UART_Transmit being called from main() before HAL_Init() fully returns?Or maybe the ST-LINK somehow triggers this? The program runs fine otherwise, b

HiI am trying to port an example application from MDK to CubeIDE, the CubeIDE does not give me correct compilation result:1. It completes the compilation when code contains syntax error and it produces binary. This is quite different from past experiences with CubeIDE.2. The size of the binary is not correct (88 bytes for an LWIP application is imppossible)3. The CubeMX does not generate startup code startup_stm32f767igtx.s4. There's a warning: cannot find entry symbol Reset_Handler5. MDK uses ARM compiler, therefore how to rewrite the following delarations in CubeIDE:#if !(__ARMCC_VERSION >= 6010050) /* not AC6 compiler */ /* use AC5 compiler */ /* the following 3 declarations are reported syntax error by CubeIDE */ /* internal SRAM */ static __align(64) uint8_t mem1base[MEM1_MAX_SIZE]; /* external SDRAM */ static __align(64) uint8_t mem2base[MEM2_MAX_SIZE] __attribute__((at(0XC01F4000))); /* internal DTCM */ static __align(64) uint8_t mem3base[MEM3_MAX_SIZE] __attribu

Hello everybody,I have a question related to the STM32N6570-DK eval kit. Is it possible to change the position of the BOOT switches when the board is powered by USB-C ST-Link ?  Or do I always have to power-off the board ?Thanks  Max

I’m designing a custom board based on STM32N6 and using the same boot flash as the NUCLEO‑N657X0‑Q (MB1940). In the reference design, all OCTOSPI signals to the flash have 0‑Ω bridges in series, and the traces are length‑matched including those footprints. What’s the main reason for these 0‑Ω parts? Are they only for flexibility during bring‑up (e.g., swapping in damping resistors), or do they serve another purpose? Is it safe to omit them or do they serve a specific reason? Snippet from the MB1940 Schematic:Thanks in advance and best regards,Julius

I'm encountering many issues while using the AIS2120 accelerometer sensor and would greatly appreciate your assistance. Thank you very much! After the sensor is powered on, a series of initializations (default configuration) are performed, then it enters normal mode, and then the corresponding acceleration data is read. Are these actions performed automatically by the sensor?Do I need to perform any operations to make the sensor enter normal mode?If I need to set it to 1600Hz, how should I operate? (I tried setting a soft reset and then writing to the configuration register, but it didn't work).I keep having communication issues, especially I'm not sure if the CRC check is correct. The manual is very vague. Attached is my CRC check function.I'm also unsure how to fill in the position indicating whether it is sensor data in the SDI frame.uint8_t AIS1120SX_ubCrcVal(int32u ulCrcVal) { uint8_t crc = 0x00; uint8_t poly = 0x97; for (uint8_t i = 0; i < 4; i++) { crc ^= (uint8_t) ((ulC

Hi everyone,I'm working with the VL53L0X sensor and have a couple of questions:Does noise affect the sensor's measurements? Does the sensor include a checksum or mechanism to verify the integrity of I2C messages? Can adding capacitors to the I2C bus help reduce noise interference? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi everyone, I'm using a Riverdi board (STM32 10.1" Rev. 1.2) with an STM32H747XIH6, and I'm having trouble with the UART8 in single-wire mode. I can't get the interrupt callback function to be called when data is received on that port. This board uses TouchGfx and FreeRTOS.I'm using a test interrupt code just for the UART8, but it's not responding. If I use the blocking function HAL_UART_Receive(...), I receive consistent data, so I don't think it's a wiring or pinout issue. I have checked that the signal is coming in with the oscilloscope.I have the global interrupt enabled for the UART8.The code I'm using is this, in freertos.cvoid startUartTask(void *argument) { /* USER CODE BEGIN startUartTask */ memset(rxBuffer, 65, 128); HAL_HalfDuplex_EnableReceiver(&huart8); HAL_UARTEx_ReceiveToIdle_IT(&huart8, rxBuffer, 64); /* Infinite loop */ for(;;) { //HAL_UART_Receive(&huart8, rxBuffer, 128, 120); osDelay(10); } /* USER CODE END startUartTask */ } In mai
