The problem was seen with STM32F303RD and STM32Cube_FW_F3_V1.10.0, but there is a possibility that other parts might be affected. When using USBD_CDC_SetTxBuffer followed by USBD_CDC_TransmitPacket with a packet of 64, 128, 192, etc. bytes, the data are not sent unless they are followed by another call to those functions with data length different than multiple of 64 bytes.A fix in the HAL library in explained in the thread below:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkXmgSAF/usb-cdc-breaks-on-heavy-loadThe fix is in PCD_EP_ISR_Handler function of the stm32f3xx_hal_pcd.c file. In one of the last lines of the function:if (ep->xfer_len == 0U)To be replaced by:if ((ep->xfer_len == 0U) && (ep->xfer_count < ep->maxpacket))The last lines of the function code would look like: /*multi-packet on the NON control IN endpoint*/ ep->xfer_count = PCD_GET_EP_TX_CNT(hpcd->Instance, ep->num); ep->xfer_buff+=ep->xfer_count; /* Zero Length Packet? */ if

Hi ,I am trying to interface a touch scren lcd with stm32 board. I have an mcufriend 2.4" touch screen lcd and i intend to interface it with nucleo-f303re board. I ,unfortunately, am not able to find a datasheet for the lcd. I know that the lcd can be interfaced with spi. but as i mentioned i do not have any datasheet for the lcd. Does anyone has any information on where to find the datasheet or a library for the lcd?

Hello,as the title suggest, I can't get printf() to work.I implemented _write() in my main() but during debugging the program never get there. The project was created with CubeIDE.int _write(int file, char *data, int len) { if ((file != STDOUT_FILENO) && (file != STDERR_FILENO)) { errno = EBADF; return -1; }   // arbitrary timeout 1000 HAL_StatusTypeDef status = HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart1, (uint8_t*)data, len, 1000);   // return # of bytes written - as best we can tell return (status == HAL_OK ? len : 0); }I know the hardware works, because the same implementation of _write() works in an other project (the one provided here).I am probably missing some compiler setting but I can't for the life of mine figure out what it is.Can someone please point me in the right direction?Best regards.Christoph

In the reference manual under 39.6.18 there is the description of the TAMP backup registers (TAMP_BKPxR).Neither in the RM nor in the STM32CubeL5 Hal I can find the base address of those registers. How can I read&write to TAMP_BKP0R - TAMP_BKP31R?

Hello All,I am currently working on a USB device that supplies power (Chip = STM32F765). I am attempting to have this device be connected and unrecognized while in stop or standby mode and I am running into the unfortunate fact that the DP line has an embedded pullup resistor on it. Even when I configure it as a GPIO input with a pulldown, the pull up and pulldown divide the voltage and it ends up remaining relatively high, which means that the pullup is physically before the alternate function mux when coming into the pin from outside of the chip. Having the DP line always high makes re-enumerating as a device when coming out of stop and standby mode difficult, because the connected host does not recognize that a new device has been connected. It already tried and failed to enumerate the device while it was asleep (because it sees the pullup when the device is asleep), so it doesn't retry enumeration when it wakes. If I could have it fall asleep with no pull-up, that would be ideal. T

Hello!I have installed the STM32-MAT/TARGET toolbox.My operating environment：matlab 2018bSTM32CubeMX 5.1.0STM32-MAT/TARGET 5.1.0There are two question about CAN communication example!Question 1:There is a error about CAN_IT module as follows when I simulate the CAN communication example in STM32demos.I have tryed to solve this error. However,It seems that we need to modify S-function.But the S-function is saved as .p file,we can't view and modify.Question 2:I want to delete CAN_IT module and simulate in polling mode. However,it still can't send or recieve CAN messege. The CAN state which gets from CAN_Get_State module is always “reset?.The attached are the Simulink model and the .ioc configuration file for STM32CubeMX of question 1 and question 2.Please any help! Thank you!

Hello Team, We are evaluating 32L4R9IDISCOVERY for one of wearable device. While checking obsolescence we got to know that the Pseudo SRAM used with it i.e., IS66WVC2M16ECLL-7010BLI is facing unconfirmed lead time.As a cross reference to IS66WVC2M16ECLL-7010BLI we have selected AS1C2M16P-70BINWe want an STM expert advise to confirm complete compatibility of AS1C2M16P-70BIN to 32L4R9IDISCOVERY Attaching datasheet of both part and schematic of 32L4R9IDISCOVERY for quick reference.Best Regards,Shivam

Dear Friends, I'm having problems to load this plugin (Eclipse CDT Plugin: OpenMRC), it's from GitHub, I tried using the "Install New Software" but without good results, I also download it to my desktop but the IDE wants JAR files, so please someone knows how to correctly load it in order to use that plugin? Thanks a lot!!!Link of OpenMRC: https://github.com/stkim123/kr.ac.jbnu.ssel.misracHint: I'm a Windows user

Platform: STM32WB55 discovery board connected to I2S codec. My mission: To receive data from the codec using DMA transfer.Calling to HAL_SAI_Receive function returns the data correctly so I guess that everything is configured correctly. When calling to HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA, hdma->Instance->CNDTR stays on the same initial value. When debugging the code and running the HAL functions in single step - I do get the half full interrupt and the buffer contains the correct values. So again - I guess that everything is configured correctly. The base code is generated with CubeMX.HAL_SAI_Receive_DMA is called from the main loop, so I guess it is not related to interrupt priority issues.Any other ideas? Thanks!

The idea is to stack 3 X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 on top of a NUCLEO-L476RG and access one X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 at a time either from RF or through I2C using the X-CUBE-NFC4 or directly through HAL APIs.We were thinking of disable RF of two X-NUCLEO-NFC04A1 and enable for one at a time but when we are calling the API NFC04A1_NFCTAG_SetRFDisable() it is disabling RF of all the boards as all are stacked together that means hanging on the same I2C bus. Please help us to find a solution as we are now evaluating the ST25DV product for using it in one of our upcoming device.

Even though I did set optimization to "Disable for Debugging (-no)" there are certen lines of code which are removed by the compiler and are not available for setting a breakpoint and they do not get executed. This can be observed by certin results as well as by the disassembly missing mentioned lines. Is there a way to really disable optimization (including code removal) or at least a list of things that do get optimized even though -no ist used?

Posted on August 14, 2017 at 18:04Hello, I use STM8AF52xx, STVD and cosmic FSE, when I try to use  STM8S_StdPeriph_Lib and CAN example I encounter this error:&sharperror clnk Debug\stm8af52ax.lkf:1 @svlreg missing for function f_CAN_RX_IRQHandler(I have deleted LCD and LED functions just to have pure CAN because there was similar error concerning LCD/LED).This is part of code that is responsible for error:it is can_recieve() routineAs it seems error is caused by uint32_t variables, more precisely with data manipulations.I was able to assign pure numerical value, but combined statement (assign value from other variable and for example shifting left ) throws error.I can compile stm8s_can.c without problem, but if try to I build whole project I got error as stated at beginning. If I comment code with uint32_t variables project would build without errors.Workspace is available in attachment. What is causing this error?best regards,Radim.##error-clnk-@svlreg-mis

Hi,I'm trying to generate a new project for the STM32F469IDISCOVERY using CubeMX 5.2.0 and TouchGFX 4.10.0. All peripherals are initialized with the default modes. I use STM32CubeIDE as toolchain/IDE.After enabling the Graphics framework using TouchGFX in 'middleware', I press the 'generate code' button and code is generated. After that I press 'execute' to execute the TouchGFX GUI. Right after TouchGFX is started, I get the following error code: 'Error during code generation'.The following errors can be observed from the log: C:/TouchGFX/4.10.0/env/MinGW/msys/1.0/Ruby193/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/touchgfx-cli-4.10.0/lib/touchgfx/generators/sw4_project_updater.rb:74:in `block in ensure_source_nodes': undefined method `add_child' for nil:NilClass (NoMethodError)   from C:/TouchGFX/4.10.0/env/MinGW/msys/1.0/Ruby193/lib/ruby/gems/1.9.1/gems/touchgfx-cli-4.10.0/lib/touchgfx/generators/sw4_project_updater.rb:62:in `each'   from C:/TouchGFX/4.10.0/env/MinGW/msys/

I am trying to run a boundary scan test on a custom board with a STM32L4R5ZIT6, My boundary scan tool of choice has highlighted some inconsistencies with the pins. When I set certain pins the wrong pins get set.I checked the resources section on your website and I notice that the version of theTM32L4R5/4S5/4R7/4S7/4R9/4S9 BSDL File is set as 2.0 with a date of Jul 06, 2018 but when I click on the link and open it the readme is still v1.0 and all the file headers are dated V1.0 29th August 2017. Is there an updated version available?

Dear all, I am working on a prototype with anti-tilting and park-brake functions that need to be complied with ISO26262. So far the ASIL is not determined yet, I want to start development and testing the firmware in a complete toolkit. However I am not sure which MCU to choose. For example, the SPC56 L line and SPC58 C line both provide ASIL and safety applications, and evaluation toolkit, though mentioned that SPC58 C key functions are securing on-board communication protocol.I have the same difficulty in selecting from other A/B/2B/G/P/etc.And how about the generic control STM32 MCU's, if I only want the mentioned two functions, it seems the STM32 MCU is qualified as well, is it correct? Thanks in advance for explaining with details.

We want to evaluate the STUSB4500 and mounted this device on our demo board. Now we need to setup the device. We found a description for each setup but we do not find any information about the register how to address them. We need more information about the register order for the I2C bus and which setup we can do in each register. Background:In our application STP08DP05XTTR is supposed to drive six LEDs with 20mA constant current each using an external, 1 k-Ohm output current programming resistor connected to the R-EXT pin (pin 15). The LED supply voltage is 5Vdc.Question: Does the return current for the LEDs to GND go through this external resistor? The datasheet and AP3981 do not say anything about the power rating requirement of this external resistor. Please advise.NOTE: This question and answer originated from a customer support case which was handled by us. We regularly review support cases and add any helpful ones here for all to benefit from.

I am using touchGFX to develop a screen. Now there is a problem .When I add a ClickListener and ClickAction Callback to a box, a click on the box will be identified as a click. But if I want to use a gesture on the box , I found it will be identified as a click too. It is not what I want. I found a article in TouchGFX Knowledge base , but I was told I'm not authorized to access this page. Can anyone help me solve this problem? Or can anyone access this page?
