Hi...Here the problem so far: I have a well running debug configuration, everything runs fine on target. It´s programmed into memory (using internal and external flash via qspi) and now it comes to play around with the connected (custom-) hardware. Testing different input-settings, moving around jumpers and dip-switches, connecting different motors with (of course...) different settings, changeable via my software and so on.Of course i need to stop debugging, switch off the target, change my (hardware-) settings and restart debugging.If you have to do this for around 100 times per day, it can be very annoying, that EVERY time, i press the "debug"-button, the cube programmer starts and is flashing the same code again and again. I changed to CubeIDE recently and i really miss that feature, i´ve had in Visual Studio with VisualGDB on top: To flash the board only, if rebuilt since last time.Now the question: Am i just to stupid, to find it or is there even a way to set this up ??/Charly

Hi, I'm currently porting OpenAMP virtio to Arduino platform: https://github.com/stm32duino/Arduino_Core_STM32/pull/766I would like to share one thing about the OpenAMP examples in CubeMP1.Here is the implementation of MAILBOX_Poll:int MAILBOX_Poll(struct virtio_device *vdev) { /* If we got an interrupt, ask for the corresponding virtqueue processing */ int ret = -1;   /* USER CODE BEGIN PRE_MAILBOX_POLL */   /* USER CODE END PRE_MAILBOX_POLL */   if (msg_received_ch1 == RX_BUF_FREE) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN MSG_CHANNEL1 */   /* USER CODE END MSG_CHANNEL1 */   OPENAMP_log_dbg("Running virt0 (ch_1 buf free)\r\n"); rproc_virtio_notified(vdev, VRING0_ID); msg_received_ch1 = RX_NO_MSG; ret = 0; }   if (msg_received_ch2 == RX_NEW_MSG) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN MSG_CHANNEL2 */   /* USER CODE END MSG_CHANNEL2 */   OPENAMP_log_dbg("Running virt1 (ch_2 new msg)\r\n"); rproc_virtio_notified(vdev, VRING1_ID); msg_received_ch2 = RX_NO_

I am doing some basic bluetooth development with the WB55 Nucleo Board using the STMWB Workshop videos as a guideline. Following this, I was able to reproduce the example project that blinks the LED and reads the button state of the board with the ST BLE App. I am also testing with a bluetooth app that generically connects to a device, retrieves the services/characteristics, and interacts with them by sending/receiving bytes. On workshop video 4, the tutorial diverged from the Cube MX version I was using (5.6) when enabling a Custom Template. Using Cube MX 5.6 generates a number of additional fields to configure the custom services/characteristics (not present in the videos), which seemed to make it easier to set everything up. I simply want to create characteristics to read/write arrays of bytes, but I can't seem to figure out the correct settings in Cube MX to get this to work. To make things simple, I started by trying to create a single service and characteristic to write a byte of

The process is as follows:config the variables node ,choose the axf executable filespitch on Expand Variable Listwaiting for the file parsing,and then the software breakdown

I am trying to get the stm32L010 lpuart TX out of PA14. The datasheet says this is AF6. However, despite uart interrupts etc all working (so I assume the lpuart block is configured ok) I can get nothing on PA14. This isn't helped by the fact that PA14 is also SWCLK so debug is not possible.However, PA14 can be used for GPIO. So, for IO initialisation I have done the following: GPIO_InitStruct.Pin = LL_GPIO_PIN_14; // GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_ALTERNATE; GPIO_InitStruct.Mode = LL_GPIO_MODE_OUTPUT; GPIO_InitStruct.Speed = LL_GPIO_SPEED_FREQ_VERY_HIGH; GPIO_InitStruct.OutputType = LL_GPIO_OUTPUT_PUSHPULL; GPIO_InitStruct.Pull = LL_GPIO_PULL_NO; // GPIO_InitStruct.Alternate = LL_GPIO_AF_6; LL_GPIO_Init(GPIOA, &GPIO_InitStruct); LL_GPIO_SetOutputPin(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_14);and within LPUART1_IRQHandler() I have added: // Transmit register empty if(LL_LPUART_IsActiveFlag_TXE(LPUART1)) { LL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, LL_GPIO_PIN_14); ........ etc }I can then see PA14 toggling

IN the function USBD_HID_setup for a class requese I added a case for send report. case HID_REQ_SET_REPORT: Debug::Instance()->printf(Debug::ALLWAYS, (char *) "Set report %X\n", req->wValue); Debug::Instance()->printf(Debug::ALLWAYS, (char *) "Received: "); for (int ii = 0; ii < req->wLength; ii++) Debug::Instance()->printf(Debug::ALLWAYS, (char *) "%02X ", CtlEP0OutData[ii]); Debug::Instance()->printf(Debug::ALLWAYS, (char *) "\n"); Report::Instance()->ProcessReport(CtlEP0OutData); USBD_CtlPrepareRx(pdev, CtlEP0OutData, sizeof(CtlEP0OutData)); return USBD_OK; break;The first time I get here the buffer is empty, the second time is shows data from 1st transfer. Bus analysis says the data is being transferred as exepected. Moving USBD_CtlPrepareRx before the print (even with a delay) does not change the behavior.Thanks for looking,Rob

Thank you!

Hello when I enter NVIC settings for timer interrupt, there are different interrupts for TIM1. Such as: TIM1 break interrupt, TIM1 update interrupt, TIM1 trigger and commutation interrupts and TIM1 capture and compare interrupt. What is the difference between these interrupts? I want to use timer 1 as global timer interrupt but there is no option for that in CubeMX. Which interrupt I can use for this purpose?

Hi,We are currently developing on the STM32MP1. Our goal now is to be able to debug the core at the different running stages : TF-A, Optee, U-boot and kernel. We are using the DK2 with a ST-link and openOCD.When using your Setup.gdb we experience some issue during the debug session : We can't use the step instruction but we can use the stepi instruction. When we use the step instruction we have the following error on openOCD :Error: Timeout waiting for cortex_a_exec_opcode Error: Timeout waiting for InstrCompl=1 Error: Timeout waiting for dpm prepare Error: Timeout waiting for cortex_a_exec_opcode Error: can't add breakpoint: unknown reason Warn : negative acknowledgment, but no packet pending Warn : negative acknowledgment, but no packet pendingThe exact same error message is found when loading u-boot symbol after gdb is connected to openOCD.The software breakpoint doesn't work, only the hardware breakpoints break the core.We also have some questions regarding this debug script :Wha

I'm using VS 2019 with visualgdb extension for stm32f303vc device. I have a class TlteCom with array of pointers to members of the c++ 17 class. Here it is.class TlteCom { public: volatile uint16_t number=0; volatile uint16_t paramNumber=0; volatile char param1[20]; volatile char param2[20]; volatile char param3[8];   constexpr static uint8_t paramCount = 3; volatile char *const paramlist[paramCount] = {(volatile char *)param1, (volatile char *)param2, (volatile char*)param3}; volatile uint16_t paramlength[paramCount] = { 0, 0, 0 }; };I create the object of the class as global variable as follows: TlteCom com;I don't understand why com.paramlist members are all zero. if I create object of the TlteCom class on stack in main() function everything is ok: com.paramlist has right values of param1, param2, param3 addresses. So, what is the right initialization of pramlist array?Help, please!And thank u in advance!!!

Hi,I want to use an image but it takes up a lot of space in FLASH memory when I add it.Example:Image size ------ (no image) ---- 7.55 KB -------- 2.38 KB (same picture but compressed)FLASH (free) ---- 811.97KB ----- 385.55 KB ----- 385.55 KB(Instead of) -------------------------- 804.42 KB ----- 809.59 KBI don't understand why...Do you have the same problem?Best Regards

I am setting up a custom board for the STM32F743 and only the first 18% or so of the screen is being displayed. The rest is garbage.. If I write directly to the framebuffer, the LTDC does write out to the display, so I know my SDRAM and LTDC are configured and functioning properly. I suspect a TouchGFX configuration issue and am wondering if the AT for the STM32H743-EVAL v3.0.0 will be available soon?

Hi, where can I find schematic and footprint for STM32H753 (or STM32H7 xx family) for Altium? In the STM32H7 and STM32H753 page I cant find nothing.Best regardsGMG

I'm running out of timers on the STM32G431RB that I am designing for, and am inclined to try to use TIM_15, 16, and/or 17 for upcounting (only! not up/down quadrature counting) encoders, for rotary encoders on shafts that only spin one direction. Is this possible? I'm finding quite a lack of information on this type of application for these timers in both the STM32G4 Datasheet as well as the 2000+ supplemental Reference Manual.

The ADC (ADC3 if that's relevant) provides for triggering by way of the TIM6 TRGO event. I have the ADC configured to convert with "ExternalTrigConv" pointing to ADC_EXTERNAL_TRIG_T6_TRGO, and the update event's rising edge. In no case am I able to get the thing to trigger though, not off of TIM6, only by software conversion start. I'm sure TIM6 is firing because when I intercept its ISR it's running on time, it's just not triggering the ADC.The errata for the 32F4xx suggests that one has to enable the DAC RCC clock domain for it to work. This doesn't help on the H7 (and it's not mentioned in the H7 errata). Has anyone managed to use TIM6 to trigger conversions of the ADC? I can start the s/w conversion in a roundabout way (roundabout because of the HAL locks if I do stuff in ISRs) after TIM6 fires its ISR but I'd rather not couple things so closely. TIM6 when it's mentioned in the docs is always in relation to the DAC and not the ADC so I wonder if the connection just doesn't exist on

I'm not sure how many H7xx applications deploy without EEPROMs. Everything I've touched in the last 5 years in the F3xx and H7xx line needed an EEPROM for the usual customer side configuration persistence requirement. My customers prefer to take the BOM hit for an external EEPROM like the 24C256 or even the weird PCA9500 multiuse I2C device (4 byte pages!) rather than setting things up to possibly exhaust flash words should firmware lose its mind and exhaust the flash area in seconds when used as an EEPROM substitute.I'm sort of afraid to ask for new things that may tend to break old things but it'd be cool if ST would add a small true EEPROM to the device, maybe not the value line but for the more premium parts with more oomph. 256 bytes should be enough and it's a product ST already makes so....

I need assistance building the https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mpu-app-logicanalyser project. I have the Distribution-Package building successfully, but when I follow the instructions for the example meta layer, I get the following:| backend.c:49:10: fatal error: gtk/gtk.h: No such file or directory| #include <gtk/gtk.h>|          ^~~~~~~~~~~| compilation terminated.I’ve tried a manual “bitbake gtk+3? to no avail. I’ve also tried uncommenting line 7 of https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/meta-st-stm32mpu-app-logicanalyser/blob/thud/recipes-graphics/st-software/logic-analyser-backend/Makefile.

Hellosorry for my English, im using google translate.I use a debug board STM32H750B-DK. The project generated by the STMCube (v5.5.0) for using the CDC USB device works fine. Data is transferred from PC to device and from device to PC.That is adress of EP:#define CDC_IN_EP 0x81U /* EP1 for data IN */ #define CDC_OUT_EP 0x01U /* EP1 for data OUT */ #define CDC_CMD_EP 0x82U /* EP2 for CDC commands */When I change addresses to#define CDC_IN_EP 0x82U /* EP1 for data IN */ #define CDC_OUT_EP 0x02U /* EP1 for data OUT */ #define CDC_CMD_EP 0x81U /* EP2 for CDC commands */Information transfer from the device to the PC stopsTogether with the debugger, I found a problem. When initializing the endpoint with the address 0х82, the DTXFSTS register becomes 0 and does not change.When sending data (1024 byte), an interrupt arrives and the PCD_WriteEmptyTxFifo function is called. Outside there is a check:while (((USBx_INEP(epnum)->DTXFSTS & USB_OTG_DTXFSTS_INEPTFSAV) >= len32b) && (

Hi,in AN2606 Rev.42 the needed slave address for the EEPROM is 0b1001110x but I cannot find any suitable chip. Is it a typo because i would suspect a slave address like 0b1010xxxx?Kind regardsDaniel

When I have enabled USB Device for stm32f3discovery, the usbd_conf.c had this lines (59..63):#if (USE_HAL_PCD_REGISTER_CALLBACKS == 1U) static void PCDEx_SetConnectionState(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd, uint8_t state); else void HAL_PCDEx_SetConnectionState(PCD_HandleTypeDef *hpcd, uint8_t state); #endif /* USE_HAL_PCD_REGISTER_CALLBACKS */Notice the "else" without hash (#) symbol.

Hi all,If I dedicate the MCU SRAM2 for data and MCU SRAM4 for DMA as shown here, do I get CCM like performance or do I have a risk to have contention on the SRAM2 ?After looking at the bus matrix, I suspect there is no risk but I want to make sure it is the case.

Hey guys, I am going to start a project which required to have the BLE router.I prefer to stick to the FreeRTOS as my O.S due to regulations and standards this project needs to pass.I know there is no such example who combined router with freeRTOS, so I guess I will need to merge between the heartrate with FreeRTOS and the router examples. as far as I am aware there are 2 main issues I need to consider. the first is the low power handling and the second and obvious is scheduler vs O.S.I would really appreciate it if someone can give some guidelines on how to approach this kind of task and if it is better to merge the router capability into the freeRTOS example or vice versa.Thank u.

Hi all,I'm trying parse a large string stored on internal flash (up to 100 KB). Error is occurred around 60 KB.I tested the same string with cJSON on Visual Studio, and it work well.I think the problem is mcu doesn't have enough heap ram for cJSON.I have tried to modify Minimum Heap Size in Linker Settings, but nothing changed.jsonstr length 112393 [Bytes]Error before: 60760Error at: 60760Can anyone help me please. Thank all in advance!
