In projects I've done with other STM32 MCUs, STM32CubeIDE allowed me to control the sampling time for individual ADC channels. However, with a new project (using a STM32F373C8Tx), I don't see where this option can be set.

Hi.I believe that this is related to the presence of recent JDK, but since i had to move to 1.8+ (jdk11 and JDK12), program stopped working.Starting installer or previously created program just fails silently. Logs reveal nothing except an abrupt exit with return value of 1.I of course tried to change default jdk to 1.8 but that did not help. Being a developper and needing all other JDKs on a daily basis, deinstalling other JDKs is not possible.Does anyone have any idea of what is going on?Thanks.

i am using Nucleo-F030R8 board. I want to get adc calibration factor.By writing #define VREFINT_CAL (*((uint16_t *) 0x1FFFF7BA))i got VREFINT_CAL = 1521 which is actually factory stored value, that good no problem.but when i try to calibrate it by self writng MX_ADC_Init();while(HAL_ADCEx_Calibration_Start(&hadc) != HAL_OK);VREFINT_CAL = HAL_ADC_GetValue(&hadc);i got VREFINT_CAL = 64 or 65. what is this i am not getting it.it should around 1521.

I am using an F4 discovery board and trying to using the included 8MHz HSE crystal to drive the RTC. I am using CubeMX to configure everything and I have configured the RTC to generate the calibration 1Hz signal that I am watching on a scope. Initially I was using the LSI but the frequency is not very reliable so I thought the HSE would be better. The problem I have is that when I swap to the HSE the frequency of the calibration signal is way too high (about 32Hz instead of 1Hz). When selecting the HSE as the input for the RTC in CubeMX there is a divide by 8 and I have changed the Asynch predivider to 124 and the synch predivider to 7999 which should result in a 1Hz output. When testing in the debugger I can see that the values have been set correctly in the RTC PRER register.What I have found is that changing the synch predivider is having no effect on the calibration signal. The divide by 8 that happens when selecting HSE for the RTC is configurable and changing this changes the the

The ST link on the board creates a virtual com port, conected to the LPUSART1 of the micro L4A6ZG.What I´m trying to do is to program the micro throught this com port. To do this, I try this sequence:Put boot0 to high, by shortcircuiting pins 5-7 of CN11Push reset button to enter bootTry to connect with STM32CubeProgrammer using the option UART, 115200 Parity Even.Then I can see the packet send by the PC in the TX pin of CN6, but there is no response from the micro. So, a time out message is shown in the log.When I connect to the board using S-LINK it works correctly.So, I would like to know if what I´m trying to do is possible, and if yes, what could be the problem?

I recently bought X-NUCLEO-53L0A1 to evaluate the distance sensor. My application requires accuracy of 1mm at the least.PFA video file showing my evaluation. Pls open the file with appropriate media player.As you can see, there is 2 to 3mm fluctuation in the distance measurement in HIGH ACCURACY mode. The fluctuation is on both -ve and +ve sides. It is not predictable.I wanted to know whether it is possible to achieve 1mm accuracy using this sensor in realtime scenario (not in perfect lab environment) ?

Will there be a planned update for the flashloader for the new stm32.

hi,my type is stm32f031, i try to debug ' spi + dma + crc' mode. i have no idea about transmit crc .i just enable crc_en, and set the bit crc_next every sending 8bit value.my logic analyzer occured the only 8 bit datas, it not contains the the crc values.

Hi all, i am trying to generate a 3 phase sine wave with 120 degree phase shift by using stm32f030r8t6 nucleo board. i can see the generated 3 phase sine wave on oscilloscope but the freq is not stable of the sine wave. it varies continuously from 40hz to 110 hz. please have a look on it and suggest me what can i do.please find the attachment for code.this is code of main.c file#include "stm32f0xx.h"#include "stm32f030x8.h"#include "math.h"void GPIO_Init(void);void EXTI_Init(void);void TIM1_Init(void);void TIM1I_Init(void);void UpdatePulse(void);unsigned int i,i1=0,i2=0,i3=0,count,Ch1_DutyCycle=0,Ch2_DutyCycle=0,Ch3_DutyCycle=0,Ch1_Dir=0,Ch2_Dir=0,Ch3_Dir=0,Max_Duty=0,Start_Duty=0,Duty_Diff=0,Period=0;unsigned int SinTable[100],SineFreq=0;double x=0;int main(){ /****start PLL setting for system clock at 48Mhz using 8Mhz HSI****/ RCC->CFGR |= ((1<<19)|(1<<21)); // PLL Multification factor = 12 RCC->CFGR |= (1<<1); // PLL selected as system clock RCC-&g

I got TouchGFX integrated into the STM32CubeIDE and successfully compiled.When I get into debugging and start it all I get is white blank screen.I got it integrated using template method where I create a configured, but a garbage template to use it only once to get files as shown in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=12KXreXaLp0&t=177sBoard: STM32F429I-DISC1STM32CubeIDE version: 1.4.2TouchGFX version: 4.13.0 and 4.14.0At first, I started with version 4.10.0 of TouchGFX, and when I changed to 4.13.0 and 4.14.0 there was a lot of difference in generation of files.Here is the important part I was able to edit all gui files like "Screen<number>.cpp" , "Screen<number>base.cpp" or any View files in Keil MDK-ARM in version 4.10.0 but now the generation has become very complicated and not included in MDK-ARM. Kindly, make it easier to use on any platform so that any beginner like me can understand and keep on with the development. I am just very curious about the poten

Hi guys,I would like to ask how properly place the function (code). I have solved the ld. script (have already the section in ram for code there) and functions which I want to place in ram has section attributes, but I read that the long call attribute is also necesarry and –mlong-calls compiler flag has to be set. I did every single step but I'm getting wdg interrupt everytime I want execute function from RAM. (The clocks are also enabled for RAM)Maybe I missed some stupid thing there.Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hi, I'm not sure if this is the right spot for this question, but here goes. I've just migrated from CMSIS v1 to v2. One of the changes to the API was thread creation. The stack size is now specified in bytes instead of DWORDs.  The size is simply divided by 4 before it passes to FreeRTOS. That's ok, but for some reason it also casts the stack size to uint16_t. I think that is wrong. It should cast to configSTACK_DEPTH_TYPEUnfortunately I have some legacy code that requires a stack far greater than 2^18 bytes (a highly recursive algorithm). In CMSIS v1 I could specify a 32bit stack size, but now v2 is limited to 16 bits. Is my only option to make a modified cmsis_os2.c a local file so STM32CubeMx doesn't keep re-inserting the defect?Change from:else { if (mem == 0) { if (xTaskCreate ((TaskFunction_t)func, name, (uint16_t)stack, argument, prio, &hTask) != pdPASS) { hTask = NULL; } } }to:else { if (mem == 0) { if (xTaskCreate ((TaskFunction_t)func, na

Hello! I recently started working with STM32 MCUs and I want to set up a Time Of Flight sensor using STM32F072C8. I have set up other sensors with my board but not with I2C. I'm familiar with the I2C protocol but after reading the datasheet I don't know where to begin. Thanks in advance.

Hello! I had a project where I'm trying to get the ADC/DMA to trigger with timer 2 but I seem to be missing part of the puzzle to getting it up and working. I originally had the ADC/DMA running with "Continuous Conversion" mode set in the ADC, which was fine and I could get the ADC values just fine in the HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback() routine. I also setup my timer setup to toggle a bit at the desired frequency, so all those pieces seem to be working. The problem for me came when I tried to piece them altogether so I have my timer triggering the conversions so i can take samples at a desired interval (if that makes sense). I disabled continuous conversion mode and set the external trigger conversion source to Timer 2 Trigger Out event. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it to trigger like I expected it to. I setup breakpoints in the following interrupts to see which one it popped up in:HAL_ADC_ConvCpltCallback()HAL_TIM_PeriodElapsedCallback()Unfortunately, it didn't seem to come up i

Hello,I'm hoping that someone out there can help me with the last bit of getting an external loader working for my custom board. I'm in the very early stages of developing, specifically at the whacking together dev boards for proof of concept stage. So anything can be changed at this point.Ultimately my issue is that I've built an external loader that runs tested/verified QSPI flash routines, adpated that to the loader format (Loader_Src.c, Dev_info.c, etc) and built that using example linker scripts. For the life of me, I can't get CubeProgrammer to see the *.stldr. I can see the Dev_info object in the elf, as well as Init, Write, etc. Is there anyone out there that knows the specifics that CubeProgrammer is looking for?Project specifics:STM32CubeIDE 1.4.2STM32CubeProgrammer 2.5.0STM32F767IGT MCUMT25QL512A QSPI FlashI've attached a zip of the project and a copy of the .stldrThanks,Andy

Hi,I am writing an external flash loader for the STM32WB55RGVx using a Macronix 64Mbit QSPI NOR Flash (MX25R6435F).I have had some success following the "MOOC - External QSPI loader how to" youtube video series by ST and the example code for memory mapped QSPI available in the "STM32Cube MCU Package" downloaded from ST website.Using the example code modified to my custom board I am able to erase, write, and read memory-mapped from the FLASH.However, when I use the created External loader (based on the example code and video series) I am able to read the FLASH using the STM32 CubeProgrammer, but the first 2 bytes are always 0 even when the flash has been erased only.I also found that the Errata sheet for STM32WB (ES0394) rev. 7 lists some issues with the Quad SPI and I am wondering if there are some additional issues with the QSPI and certain FLASH memories.Has anyone had success writing an external FLASH loader for the STM32WB or experiences with QSPI FLASH that may help me?Any help wi

Hi, I apologize in advance for my English (I'm French)I'm begginer with OTA. So I followed instruction from AN5247. All of the following procedure uses file from STM32Cube_FW_WB_V1.8.0 folder. I downloaded last FUS and BLE stack on my Nucleo board and my Dongle. I loaded the binary file of BLE_TransparentModeVCP on my Dongle, and loaded the binary file of BLE_p2pServer_ota on my board starting 0x08007000 (So this binary is already configured to enable OTA).After that, I have launched STM32CubeMonitor-RF, I have started communication with dongle thanks to the right port. I have selected OTA update from "device" menu. The searching for devices procedure works correctly and I find my board with the "OTA Enabled". The issue is following : I load image file path from my folder (HeartRate_OTA for exemple), and click on update, but after some seconds, it's print "No Response"...I don't understand why.Is someone have any idea ? Thanks in advance

HiI'm trying to generate a 64 kHz PWM with 50% dutycycle. I've configured the SYSCLK to use the HSE in combination with the PLL resulting in 64 MHz. Since I'm using TIM1, which is on APB2, I've configured the APB2 timer clock also to 64 MHz. However, if I configure TIM1 (no prescalers) to a period of 1000 and a PWM pulse of 500 the generated frequency is not 64 kHz but 32 kHz. Did I misunderstand something? Where is the additional division by 2 happening?ThanksRegardssecuresClock configuration:Cube generated code:void SystemClock_Config(void) { RCC_OscInitTypeDef RCC_OscInitStruct = {0}; RCC_ClkInitTypeDef RCC_ClkInitStruct = {0}; RCC_PeriphCLKInitTypeDef PeriphClkInitStruct = {0};   /** Configure the main internal regulator output voltage */ __HAL_PWR_VOLTAGESCALING_CONFIG(PWR_REGULATOR_VOLTAGE_SCALE1); /** Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB busses clocks */ RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI|RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSE; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSEState = RC

Hello,it seems cube 5.3.0 generates broken code for the ADC config.the ADC_InitStruct.Clock is never written to CFGR2, and CFGR2 is never written.Any suggestion why ? is this a problem from Cube code generation ?in adc.c : in adc.c : ADC_InitStruct.Clock = LL_ADC_CLOCK_SYNC_PCLK_DIV4; .. Hey,I'm using a Nucleo-F446RE and the STM32 Cube IDE.I want to start the Timer3 with a changing Edge at a GPIO Pin. Then the Timer should count till another GPIO has a changing Edge aswell. Now the timer should be disabled and the counter should be stored in the DMA.Has anyone an idea how to implement this?Markus
