HelloI'm confused about SPI in combination with DMA and D-Cache.I'm using the STM32H743ZI and KEIL uVision CMSIS Driver.In my opinion, the CMSIS driver has a weak point. It only sends data by HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_DMA() if length is a multiple of 32. Otherwise it sends data by HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT(). All under the condition that the D-Cache is enabled.This is the code snippet from the driver.static int32_t SPI_Transfer (const void *data_out, void *data_in, uint32_t num, const SPI_RESOURCES *spi) {   ...   spi->xfer->dma_flag = 0U; if (spi->dma_use == SPI_DMA_USE_TX_RX) { #if (__DCACHE_PRESENT == 1U) // Is DChache enabled if ((SCB->CCR & SCB_CCR_DC_Msk) != 0U) { if ((((uint32_t)data_out & 0x1FU) == 0) && (((uint32_t)data_in & 0x1FU) == 0) && ((num & 0x1FU) == 0)) { // Data is 32Byte aligned and size is n *32 -> DMA can be used spi->xfer->dma_flag = 1U; SCB_CleanDCache_by_Addr ((uint32_t *)((uint32_t)data_o

I am testing with STM32F769 Discovery board to make video syncs (not vsync, hsync).I am using SPI module to make infinite clock and data.But, it seems not supported in normal and DMA transmit mode (there is delay between transmissions).How should i do to transmit data and clock signal infinitely without delay?

I would like to request the BDSL file for PN#SPC58NN84E7RMHBR.Can someone help to check and advise?Thanks.Regards,Kent

I'm new to STM32 and am trying to get a couple of simple things working at this point. I am trying to generate and handle a GPIO interrupt on PA0 using FreeRTOS and I have no trouble with that. All the examples I've seen say to modify the ISR at stm32f4xx_it.c.The problem is that anytime I make a change to the STM32 configuration and generate the code again, it overwrites my stm32f4xx_it.c file and the changes I made to the ISR are lost.Surely I'm missing something simple. Any tips are appreciated! Thanks!

Have built the (single core) LoRaWAN AT Slave example from STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.0.0, which has been flashed to a new Nucleo STM32WL55 board (straight out of the package). No apparent problems building and flashing. Configured for AS923 region.Running an OTAA Join command the terminal returns:AT+JOIN=135s069:TX on freq 923400000 Hz at DR 2OK35s461:MAC txDone40s447:RX_1 on freq 923400000 Hz at DR 240s523:MAC rxTimeOut41s447:RX_2 on freq 923200000 Hz at DR 241s523:MAC rxTimeOut+EVT:JOIN FAILEDLooks ok but problem is that the radio isn't transmitting at all, as checked with a spectrum analyser (which sees output from other LoRaWAN boards running that frequency band).Could be a simple configuration problem, but everything looks ok.Suggestions would be welcome?

The latest I-CUBE-LRWAN version 1.3.1 hasn't been updated for nearly a year now, whereas previously there were several upgrades per year. As we are using this product in commercial IoT units it is pretty critical to understand whether STM intends to continue upgrading it to keep up with the LoRaWAN specification as it moves forward, particularly as implemented by the latest Semtech stack? Comments from STM would be appreciated.Thanks.

I'm using the HAL_UART_Transmit_IT procedure on a STM32G431 for the LPUART on a 115200 baud communication to a Putty terminal. The MCU is also running ST Motor code.I have some simple 3 character commands that either set variables in the code or read back variables. The communication is fairly robust when the motor is not running but is very bad when it is running.The interface code reads a single character at a time in the callback HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback and puts it in a Rxbuffer. If the character is invalid the buffer is cleared. If a CR is received the command is processed and data is transmitted back to Putty using the HAL_UART_Transmit_IT  procedure. I can break on the code just prior to transmitting the message and the data is correct but when the HAL_UART_Transmit_IT is executed the data coming back is very corrupted.This is the callback:void HAL_UART_RxCpltCallback(UART_HandleTypeDef *huart) { uint8_t Rx_Char; uint8_t tmp; tmp = LPUART1_rxBuffer[0]; // uart rece

Hi all,I'm Pierre, I am new to this community!I have found many great tips for some of my problems, but I moved into custom HID and I'm stuck.So here's what I am trying to do. I have two slave cards sending I2C data to the master. This is working great.I do a bit of work with this data and then, I try to send it over USB as a joystick controler.I have managed to set up my HID report, descriptor size, and outreport buffer size setupI get the device reported as expected.But then I try to use:USBD_CUSTON_HID_SendReportand the compile fails if I don't include usbd_customhid.h in my main.So I include it, try sending data and... nothing happens. I am obviously doing something wrong but I don't know where. If you guys have any tips, I'll take it!Thanks!

Hello, Has anyone successfully implemented headless builds for SPC5 studio? I am looking for information on this with the intent on creating a docker image to build new binaries at each commit with the usage of bitbucket pipelines. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Nick

Hello, I'm using the STM32G031J6M6 8-pin Cortex-M0+ chip.I'm trying to use the ADC channel 16 however, I cannot select the channel.I confirmed which channel can select that I can select channel 0 to 11.Channel 11, 15 to 18 cannot select in the latest version of the Cube MX.If I use channel 11, 15 to 18, do I need something operation?Do you have any solutions? Thank you for watching.

Posted on January 09, 2017 at 18:29 Hello. I have a problem trying to stop a timer in debug mode. I am using a NUCLEO-F072RB. I use timer 7, one of the basic timers, to generate an interrupt. In order to be able to stop the timer in debug, mannually with breakpoint, I set the DBGMCU_APB1_FZ as stated in the reference manual (RM0091, 9.4). My code is the following: int main(void){ /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init(); /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config(); /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_TIM7_Init(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ HAL_DBGMCU_EnableDBGStandbyMode(); HAL_DBGMCU_EnableDBGStopMode(); DBGMCU->APB1FZ |= DBGMCU_APB1_FZ_DBG_TIM7_STOP; while (1) { } }????????????????????????????????????? When I run the debugger, none of the DBG registers changes its values and the timer doesn't stop when stopping execution. I would like t

In a project for a STM32L4S7ZITx with LPUART1 enabled the following code is generated:/** * @brief LPUART1 Initialization Function * @param None * @retval None */ static void MX_LPUART1_UART_Init(void) {   /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE END LPUART1_Init 0 */   /* USER CODE BEGIN LPUART1_Init 1 */   /* USER CODE END LPUART1_Init 1 */ hlpuart1.Instance = LPUART1; hlpuart1.Init.BaudRate = 115200; hlpuart1.Init.WordLength = UART_WORDLENGTH_8B; hlpuart1.Init.StopBits = UART_STOPBITS_1; hlpuart1.Init.Parity = UART_PARITY_NONE; hlpuart1.Init.Mode = UART_MODE_TX_RX; hlpuart1.Init.HwFlowCtl = UART_HWCONTROL_NONE; hlpuart1.Init.OneBitSampling = UART_ONE_BIT_SAMPLE_DISABLE; hlpuart1.Init.ClockPrescaler = UART_PRESCALER_DIV1; hlpuart1.AdvancedInit.AdvFeatureInit = UART_ADVFEATURE_NO_INIT; hlpuart1.FifoMode = UART_FIFOMODE_DISABLE; if (HAL_UART_Init(&hlpuart1) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } if (HAL_UARTEx_SetTxFifoThreshold(&

I am using the STM32L476G Discovery board and I understand that the COMP is able to trigger interrupts using the exti line 21 and that can be used to along with the timer to measure the time between consecutive rising edges or falling edges. However what I'm struggling with is with the coding. I've looked at countless tutorials but I don't quite see a pattern that I can use to implement my own code. Are there perhaps any other resources I can use to help me?

Hello,as many before I am trying to control some SK6812 adressable LEDs with a STM32 MCU. I have successfully done so on a custom board using the STM32L433CCT and this neat guide:https://www.thevfdcollective.com/blog/stm32-and-sk6812-rgbw-ledand this gihub repository: https://github.com/hey-frnk/STM32_HAL_NeoPixelI follwed the tutorial step by step using CubeMX and SW4STM32.Now however I have to switch to a STM32F469l-DISCO board and I thought well the same code should work right? No! Looking at the signal using a scope, I saw that it was nowhere near the needed 800kHz. So after looking around in manuals and posts I figured out, that some changes to the DMA setup have to be made. See this post:https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X00009XkeDcSAJ/stm32f4-dma-and-varying-duty-cycleSo and here is my problem I dont really understand what exactly I have to change since they are setting up their DMA manually in the post above, while I used CubeMX to set it up again without FIFO and couldnt

Hello,I am having a problem with my STM32F369l-DISCO board, as the title says it has to do with the DMA and PWM output.So I need a 800kHz PWM signal for some SK6812 LEDs, I already did achieve this with an STM32L433CCT on a custom board using this guide: https://www.thevfdcollective.com/blog/stm32-and-sk6812-rgbw-ledI set up my Project with CubeMX, the DMA setup there looked like this:with this I got my desired DMA/PWM-frequency when using: HAL_TIM_PWM_Start_DMA(&htim2, TIM_CHANNEL_1,"Data","Lengt");Now as I said I switched to a STM32F469l-DISCO board.There the setup looked like this:My clocks like this:with a Timer period of 112-1 resulting in ~800kHzI also tried it without FIFO, but then I am not able to select memorysize BYTE. It doesn´t really matter, it made almost no difference. To get to my Problem, when trying to output my PWM signal with this code from the guide above:#define PWM_HI (56) //50%DC #define PWM_LO (28) //25%DC   // LED parameters #define NUM_BPP (4) // S

HelloI need to put 4 full bridges in parallel to avoid excessive heat of the L6206My design is based on figure 15 of the datasheet : half bridge 1A connected with half bridge 1B ( pin OUT and pin IN)half bridge 2A connected with half bridge 2B ( pin OUT and pin IN)The same is done with the second device, half bridge 1A-1B of both devices are connected together. Half bridge 2A-2B of both devices are connected together.The 4RCL resistor are 15k resistor. ( 1.5A for each bridge)Each OCD pin are connected togetherThe result should be one full bridge which should allow a current of 6A.But the current limiting seems not to work correctly. The current is limited to 4.2A in PWM: IN1A is connected to 5V and a PWM is applied to IN2A. On each rising edge of the PWM ( end of the active phase of the PWM), the OCD make the signal on the Enable pins go down during 300ns. Then the voltage on the Enable pin rises slowly until the next rising edge of the PWMIf I connect IN2A to gnd instead of using a PW

I am very new to the STM32 development board and am using the STM32F407VG. I wish to connect a RFID Scanner to SPI2 and looking at the Pin Description Table (pages 21->23 in the STM32F4 users manual), I cannot see if there are specific pins to be selected for SPI2 Chip-Select-Pin setup (I think I can use PB9 but am not sure). I think I'm correct to use SPI2->PC2 = MISO, SPI2->PC3 = MOSI & SPI2-> PB10 = CLK. Has anyone dealt with this issue that can help me to know if I have to select specific pin please?

I was expected that isalnum(c) return TRUE when c is '0' to '9' or 'A' to 'Z' or 'a' to 'z' and returns FALSE with any other value. Hello ST Community,I recently made PCB using STM32WB55CGU6 MCU. I used STM32WB-Dongle as reference and designed 4-layer PCB. After board bring up and soldering I found that every peripherals of my board are working except Bluetooth.I am using P2P-server application code and I see nothing on ST-ble mobile app.Can anyone suggest how can I make Bluetooth working?Thanks and Regards,Nikunj Panchani
