Solved

Dear ST Community,Ten days ago I already asked this support request but no one single response came from ST.I just bought and received an ST-EVALMKI109V3 + ST-EVAL212V1 after attending the webinar "Develop effective AI solutions for monitoring vehicles using a single sensor".I get this error that says it does not know the chip id when I select the MKI212V1 as shown in the screenshot above.All my software tools seem to be on the latest revisions. Anyway I updated the board with the last firmware using this video : Same issue.I also joined the picture of both boards.the error I get from Unico (above)a zip file that contains a few snapshots attesting the configuration presented during the webinar and which is identicalCould anyone help me please on this? Buying more than 100€ for 2 non-functional boards is already frustrating. Receiving no help is even more frustrating. Do you believe it lives up to the image of ST-Microelectronics ? Best regardsThierry

Hello guys,I have just started working with stm32 controllers. I am trying to capture the frequency of signal using timer 2 input capture mode.I am getting absolutely correct frequency if i use ARR = 65535 but when i use ARR = 0xffffffff (As timer 2 is 32bit) i am getting wrong result.I am using this reference equationFrequency = TIM_CLOCK / ((C2-C1)*(prescaler+1))Where C2 = capture value 2 // Both Rising edge C1 = capture value 1 TIM_CLOCK = 1Mhz TIMER_PSC = 16-1 SYSTEM_CLOCK = 16MhzPlease help if i am missing something.

I started the project configuration from scratch, using STM32CubeIDE 4.20.0,STM32CubeMX 6.6.1TouchGFX 4.20.0 Timer 7 is used for Systick.int main(void) { /* USER CODE BEGIN 1 */ /* USER CODE END 1 */   /* MCU Configuration--------------------------------------------------------*/   /* Reset of all peripherals, Initializes the Flash interface and the Systick. */ HAL_Init();   /* USER CODE BEGIN Init */ /* USER CODE END Init */   /* Configure the system clock */ SystemClock_Config();   /* USER CODE BEGIN SysInit */ /* USER CODE END SysInit */   /* Initialize all configured peripherals */ MX_GPIO_Init(); MX_TIM1_Init(); MX_FMC_Init(); MX_LTDC_Init(); MX_TIM4_Init(); MX_QUADSPI_Init(); MX_DMA2D_Init(); MX_CRC_Init(); MX_TouchGFX_Init(); /* Call PreOsInit function */ MX_TouchGFX_PreOSInit(); /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */   HAL_LTDC_SetAddress(&hltdc, (uint32_t)framebuffer, LTDC_LAYER_1);   HAL_GPIO_WritePin(LCD_EN_GPIO_Port, LC

Hi,I created my project which send or receive data through LoRa. This is my result:This is my configuration:Can I fix in my firmware ? Please support me.Thanks.

Hi i build an application with fatfs implementation to log data.but when the file size reach 64kB, the SD card stop responding and i can not write on it.I used standard configuration for ff_confany suggestion to resolve the problem ?thank you.

I have decided to try out the X-Cube-SbSfu, i have downloaded the SW from the ST website,according to the documents available this is an expansion pack that can be added to the CubeMX.is this correct?where can I find information about the process that helps me accomplish this?

Hi, Expert,I have STM32F407-Discovery and I'd like to use CMSIS DSP Library for audio processing.When I checked the library version which is released, it looks 5.5.4.So, I downloaded latest CMSIS DSP Library and build it for cortex-m4 atchitecture,Before I integrate it on my stm32 project, I'd like to check that it is possible or not.Please let me know.Thanks,SeungKyu Joo

Hi all ~I have a question regarding dual display.I want to display same content at the same time to both display devices (LTDC and HDMI).But, As my understanding, STM32MP1 has only one display controller. https://community.st.com/s/question/0D53W00000DH4AqSAL/can-i-use-dual-display-on-stm32mp157c-chipsetMy TFT-LCD's resolution is 1280x800 (10.1inch) and support LVDS.So, if I can implement dual display, LCD and HDMI will has same resolution. Isn't there any solution to implement dual display implementation?Actually, I tried the following.  As a result, both display devices can be display same content at the same time. But there is one problem that display quaility is not clearly.And both display devices has exactly same quality. To be honest I don't know exactly that this application is right.Can I get some advice?Thanks regards

Dear STCommunity members,I’d like to test the MB1414 (ST25R3916_Discovery_DB) using the I2C interface. So, besides changing the Hardware of the MB1414 (by changing J200, J201, J202, J203, J204 and J205) I also need to update the Firmware of the MB1396 (ST25_Discovery_Mboard) to implement this interface.For a couple of days, I’ve been trying to compile the FW STSW-ST25R011 provided for the “ST25R3916 Discovery Kit?, but unfortunately, without success. Probably I am committing a silly mistake since I am not really familiar with this environment.I am using the Atolic TrueStudio V9.3 to compile it, but after using the Import Wizard to import the “Existing Projects into Workspace? and “Build Project? I am getting the following error/warnings (see details attached: “Build_Log_fatal_error.txt?):fatal error: stm32l4xx_hal.h: No such file or directory – despite the fact that its include folder is correctly added in the “include directories? (see details attached: “Screenshot Path and Symbo

Once the STM8-SafeCLASSB SW package is integrated into our application the Periodic run time self tests are executed continuously but the STL_ClockFreqTest fails randomly. While running the entire application, that test normally fails after about an hour but some other times take 45min or even 4 hours.We are using the HSI as clock source.While running a debug session I can see that the measured LSI period is always above the threshold.We are using IAR for our project.In our application we also use Timers 3 and 5, SPI1 in slave mode with DMA, SPI2 in master mode, and EXTI.How to get full stability on this test? Is it possible that some of the mentioned peripherals could affect that test?Thanks in advance,Ricardo

Hello, We are interested in developing a product with this MCU but we are not sure when it will be available. Can you help me with some information? We are really early in the dev. cycle and we are not going to "mass produce"(hundreds of units or thousands at max.) until next year, but we need to know if this one will be available. Thanks a lot,Mihai

I want to create 2 analog output (DAC) on PA4 & PA5 pin. How to make DAC dual mode as instructed in refmanual? When I use template code and add 1 more DAC channel but no success.please help me how to make 2 DACs simultaneously.Thanksstatic void DAC_Ch1_EscalatorConfig(void) // DAC channel 1 { /*##-1- Initialize the DAC peripheral ######################################*/ if (HAL_DAC_Init(&DacHandle) != HAL_OK) { /* Initiliazation Error */ Error_Handler(); } /*##-1- DAC channel1 Configuration #########################################*/ sConfig.DAC_Trigger = DAC_TRIGGER_T6_TRGO; sConfig.DAC_OutputBuffer = DAC_OUTPUTBUFFER_ENABLE; if (HAL_DAC_ConfigChannel(&DacHandle, &sConfig, DACx_CHANNEL) != HAL_OK) { /* Channel configuration Error */ Error_Handler(); } /*##-2- Enable DAC Channel1 and associeted DMA #############################*/ //sine_val //if (HAL_DAC_Start_DMA(&DacHandle, DACx_CHANNEL, (uint32_t *)aEscalator8bit, 6, DAC_ALIGN_8B_R) != HA

For a long time I have been using the following setup:two STM32H7 eval boardsone gdbserver session for each STM32, with a different portremote debugging on the two STM32I just switched from STM32CubeIDE 1.0 to 1.10.1 and now I have this weird behaviour: It looks like the gdbserver now tries to connect to the two STM32 that are connected to the PC, even is I specified the STM32 serial number.I have to connect to the second board on port 61236, since the 61235 seems busy.Also my previous gdb command "monitor reset halt" seems to not be supported anymore.

helloabout 2 years ago, we used BLUENRG-GCSP.recently, we need to know about BLUENRG-GCSP bluetooth version.is BLUENRG-GCSP bluetooth4.0 or 4.2?Thanks.best regards

After attempting to code it up myself and after it didn't work attempted to verify using CubeMX.I have 2 questions:CubeMX does not give me the ability to select Alternate Function 2 on GPIOB pin 1 as input for TIM3_CH4, while Datasheet - STM32H750VB STM32H750ZB STM32H750IB STM32H750XB - 32-bit Arm® Cortex®-M7 480MHz MCUs, 128 Kbyte Flash, 1 Mbyte RAM, 46 com. and analog interfaces, crypto States PORTB alternate function does connect to TIM3_CH4 for AF2. Is this correct should TIM3 be able to do capture compare off PORTB_PIN1, or did I miss something?After doing HAL_TIM_IC_Start_DMA, I see the DMA copy TIM3->CCR4 to the destination (in memory) continuously even before any edge input comes in on PORTB_PIN1. Is additional synchronization needed or should this work as I expect after a __HAL_LINKDMA?

Hi, I want to use HRTIM to generate active low pulse of width 50ms. The functionality is to generate single 50ms pulse to enable external counter IC. Are there examples to configure HRTIM in single-shot mode.HRTIM kernel freq is 200MHz. Prescaler is 4=50MHz. This gives 20ns resolution on counter. For 16-bit counter, we can generate pulse width of 1.310ms. How to generate pulse width higher than 1.31ms?Thanks!

Hi,I am debugging my custom board where I soldered an LIS2DW12 accelerometer on it. I forgot to pull the reserved pin ( 7 ) to ground as suggested in the datasheet. This is how I connected it:This is how it should be connected:Is this required, that the accelerometer can work properly? I cant find it on my I2C bus and don't know if it is related to this little mistake or maybe another, most likely soldering issue.Edit: I2C is pulled up and decoupling capacitors are also there. Just on another section.Thank you

Hi,Every time I attempt to flash the BLE wireless stack to the chip or I try to perform a mass erase I receive the same error and the USB dongle disconnects.FYI - I have successfully been able to upgrade the FUS version with no issue:I attach the logs for both the Wireless stack fail and the chip mass erase fails.Not sure how to export the options byte (incase they are useful information here) so some guidance on that would be appreciate also.Thanks very much!

Hello!We have 2 identical custom PCB using STM32F446RE MCU, we encounter the following issues and we can't find out what is happening.I'll try to explain the best I can such problem, testing boards with simple LED blinking program:while (1) { HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_10); HAL_Delay(500); HAL_GPIO_TogglePin(GPIOA, GPIO_PIN_9); HAL_Delay(500); /* USER CODE END WHILE */   /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }board 1: Program sometimes goes to HardFault with:HCLK Clock = 82 MhzHSI RC = 16 MhzProgram stops at HardFault_Handler with:HCLK Clock >= 83 MhzHSI RC = 16 MhzSame happens with HSE = 16 Mhzboard 2:Program sometimes goes to HardFault with:HCLK Clock = 75 MhzHSI RC = 16 MhzProgram stops at HardFault_Handler with:HCLK Clock >= 76 MhzHSI RC = 16 MhzHere with HSE it gives HAL_TIMEOUT error when calling SystemClock_Config(), with the following values when debugging inside HAL_RCC_OscConfig:tickstart = 101HAL_GetTick() -> uwTick freezes at 101External crystal is conn

It's cool that the schematics are available, and the assembly drawings are ok.but a full set of gerbers with all the traces and pads would be much better, esp. if it were in an EDA agnostic format.In lieu of that, what is the pitch of the J5 pads?

I have this library but I can't add in my project to communicate with the component SGTL5000. Thank you for your advices Regards

Please, Help
