I'm using a Blue Pill and want to replace its MCU with a genuine.one I purchased from a trusted vendor, yet I'm not 100% sure if it's actually genuine.1- What are some of the issues with clone/copy/high copy STM32 MCUs?2- Is there any tool/way I can check the MCU I bought with to see if it is really genuine? Thanks in advance.
I have an STM32G431 doing FOC on a little gimbal motor, but am getting strange noise on the current sense ADC when it's being triggered by TIM3. It shows up as random spikes, which values always end up being dividable by 8. Weird thing is, if I have the ADC set to oversample, it will average out these spikes. While I'm 100% sure it's a digital artifact, not measured noise. That would never ever all end up with the last 3 bits being "000". Here's a direct comparison by the ADC being triggered by TIM3's TRGO directly:And changing nothing but starting the ADC through software in the TIM3 update event interrupt:Does this ring a bell anywhere? I've been wrestling with this for days, but can't find a way to get rid of the artifacts while still triggering the ADC automatically.
Dear Team,Could you please send me the Hyperlynx file for this board shown in the application note.RegardsHARI
Hello,I'm following the instructions here: https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/stm32ai-modelzoo-services/blob/main/object_detection/docs/README_DEPLOYMENT_STM32N6.md after creating a virtual environment and installed all the packages from requirements.txt, but after running this command:python stm32ai_main.py --config-path ./src/config_file_examples/ --config-name deployment_n6_ssd_mobilenet_v2_fpnlite_config.yamlI am getting this error:STM32CubeIDE build failed: ""Error executing job with overrides: []Traceback (most recent call last):File "C:\Users\devan\Desktop\dev\STM32ModelZoo\stm32ai-modelzoo-services\object_detection\stm32ai_main.py", line 234, in <module>main()File "C:\Users\devan\Desktop\dev\STM32ModelZoo\stm32ai-modelzoo-services\st_zoo\lib\site-packages\hydra\main.py", line 94, in decorated_main_run_hydra(File "C:\Users\devan\Desktop\dev\STM32ModelZoo\stm32ai-modelzoo-services\st_zoo\lib\site-packages\hydra\_internal\utils.py", line 394, in _run_hydra_run_a
I’m using the X-NUCLEO-F446RE and IKS02A1 boards, but I don’t know how to use them without relying on MEMS Studio. I’d like to ask for help on how to read the data from the accelerometer and gyroscope (IMU) and transmit that information through the UART interface, so that I don’t have to use MEMS Studio every time.
Hi all, I have an STM32L071VBT6 and want to test the UART functionality. I configured UART4 RX and TX and physically connected them to do a loopback test. I define 2 arrays to start with /* USER CODE BEGIN PV */ uint8_t Send_buffer[] = "Gateway test"; uint8_t Rec_buffer[13]; /* USER CODE END PV */ I start by clearing the Rec_buffer array. /* USER CODE BEGIN 2 */ memset(Rec_buffer, 0, sizeof(Rec_buffer)); /* USER CODE END 2 */ Then in my while loop I try to send and receive, but I always just receive the first character ('G' in this case in Rec_buffer[0]) while (1) { /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ // UART TRANSMIT/RECEIVE TEST CODE HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart4, Send_buffer, strlen((char*)Send_buffer), 100); HAL_UART_Receive(&huart4, Rec_buffer, strlen((char*)Send_buffer), 100); HAL_Delay(1000);

Last week, I have been testing SRK1000A in EVLSRK1000A-PF, in an application with 250 kHz fixed frequency flyback PWM with primary side control.1. I struggled around the gate no longer driven in CCM-mode, and even in DCM upon more than moderate load. Finally, I found this sentence in section 6.5 of the data sheet:When the VDS voltage gets higher than VR, the comparator triggers and the blanking time is terminated. This helps during constant voltage regulation operation, at high input voltage levels (where typically the conduction time of the primary MOSFET is short), avoiding that the blanking time determined by TOFF_min might delay the SR MOSFET turn-on. The internal threshold VR is fixed to 2.83 VCC [...]A threshold like this is not given in the table to Electrical characteristics. If it would be present there, I could have been attended on it earlier. I was quite surprised that this device doesn't offer a bit more sophisticated recognition of the next PWM cycle in order to
Hi, im using stm32h745bit6 MCU, when im pressing reset button only M7 core is reseting and M4 core is stucking in an reset handler itself, what to do an reset. since if a use system reset also same only.can u someone suggest what to do for this reset handler issues. regards, srinath
Hello,I'm a university student with a deep passion for embedded systems.I've really enjoyed tinkering with ST microcontrollers and have experience with several boards in your STM32 family, including the F446RE, F411, and H743. I've been following the development of your more powerful boards and I'm incredibly impressed by the new NUCLEO-H757XI-Q. I'm very keen to get one to use for my university projects and to continue learning. The issue I'm facing is that as a student, the board's price (around $64 with shipping) is unfortunately a bit expensive for my budget.I was wondering if STMicroelectronics has any form of educational or student discount program available? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. I'm just trying to see if anyone has been in a similar situation and if ST is able to support students in this way.Thank you for your time and guidance.
Hi, we would like to use the VL53L7CH on Linux 6.12.Standard kernel interfaces are required:IIO/hwmon subsystems and regmap — no proprietary ioctl/miscdevice interface. Is an IIO-based driver for the VL53L7CH already provided or planned for upstream/mainline integration? If available, the corresponding patches and Device Tree bindings would be appreciated.Best regards,Markus
Hi, I am trying to create the I2C communication using the format used from the company seller of the device.I have to follow these steps:I2CReadFunciton ( uint8_t slAddr, uint8_t* wrData, int wrLen, uint8_t* rdData, int rdLen Initiate the bus by issuing a START condition. If there are bytes to write (wrLen > 0):Address the target device with its slave address in write mode.Transmit the wrLen bytes contained in wrData.Without releasing the bus (i.e., do not send a STOP), issue a REPEATED START to transition into the read phase.Begin the read phase:Address the same device with its slave address in read mode.Receive rdLen bytes, storing them sequentially into rdData.Terminate the transaction with a STOP condition.Key constraints:If a write phase occurs, it must be immediately followed by a repeated start—no STOP is allowed between the write and the subsequent read. The read always occurs after either the initial START (if no write) or the repeated START (if a write was performed).&n
Hi everyone, I’m working on CAN communication using STM32F746 in STM32CubeIDE.My goal is to transmit CAN frames continuously and verify them using BusMaster or PEAK CAN analyzer, but I’m not seeing any CAN frames on the bus. To help review my setup, I have attached my project ZIP file below.Could someone please check and confirm: If my CAN clock configuration is correct Whether the CAN2 TX/RX pins are configured with the right alternate functions If my main.c code for CAN initialization and transmission looks correct Whether I need any filter configuration even if I only want to transmit Setup details: Controller: STM32H746 Interface: CAN1 Mode: Normal Baud rate: 500 kbps TX/RX Pins: [PD0/PD1] Using HAL driversCan you please check with my project and help me out .
Hello,I'm trying to implement a usb cdc device on a stm32WBA65RI-DK1 board but seems like the only usb otg supported is the usb st-link port CN6 that supports USB_OTG_HS. Using cube mx, Im trying to configure that usb as device with the vbus enable, to force that usb port to be powered through the usb, but the MX is not letting me do such thing. Can someone explain why I'm not able to enable it?I wanted to ask if the CN5 connector could be enabled as USB_OTG_FS, although I dont see anything about that in the board manual nor in the mx.Thanks in advance.Best regards,Rares
Hi everyone, I'm experiencing a very frustrating issue with TouchGFX Designer version 4.25.0. Whenever I click "Generate Code", the process hangs for several minutes (up to 5 minutes) at the step:make -f simulator/gcc/Makefile assets -j8. This used to work quickly in the past with the same version on the same PC, but the issue suddenly started recently without any apparent changes.I'm running Windows 11, and this problem affects all projects, even the official TouchGFX examples. Here’s what I’ve tried so far (none of which helped): Disabled antivirus and security software completely Completly remove and reinstall TouchGFX Designer Run the Make command manually from the TouchGFX environment terminal – the issue presist Tested the same project on another (slower) PC – and it works fine there I use TouchGFX on a daily basis, so this issue is really slowing down my workflow. Has anyone else experienced this?Any advice would be highly appreciated! Best regards,Jure
Hi I am working on an STM32U585 microcontroller with TrustZone enabled and I need to update the RTC time with the HAL_RTC_SetTime function. During the execution of that function, the linestatus = RTC_EnterInitMode(hrtc); //stm32u5xx_hal_rtc.creturns HAL_TIMEOUT, so I am unable to update the RTC values. I have attached several screenshots that show the microcontroller configuration The Project Manager generates both MX_RTC_Init functions for the Secure and NonSecure zones. The main files of both Secure and NonSecure zone execute the MX_RTC_Init function without any errors, the software starts up correctly, but at some point I am not able to set the RTC Time. Upon debugging, I noticed that during the execution of RTC_EnterInitMode, the lineSET_BIT(RTC->ICSR, RTC_ICSR_INIT);does not set the INIT bit, which remains at 0. Thank you in advance for your support. Please let me know if you need any further information.Best regards,Eros
I've been following the tutorial for the P-Nucleo-WB55 Nucleoboard (https://wiki.st.com/stm32mcu/wiki/Connectivity:STM32WB_BLE_STM32CubeMX#Pinout_and_IP_configuration)However, when I get to the section 6.1 UART1 USART1 pinout definition, I can't complete it as it is greyed out and it won't let me activate UART1. When I place my cursor over it I get the following information that it is not available IP under HPI BSP driver controlI can't find anything online, and I've checked the tutorial steps again. When I set up the project, I enabled all the default options that it asked for. Thanks for any help
Hello @Jocelyn RICARD ,I’m integrating SBSFU v2.7.0 on an STM32WB55 to enable secure OTA firmware updates. I’m hitting a problem where the runtime hash verification fails: the hash computed by SBSFU at boot does not match the hash in the image header, so the image is erased.I dump the decrypted bytes in RAM (before programming) over LPUART and convert them to a binary for comparison with the build output. Assuming the dump/conversion are correct, the streams match up to ~60 KiB, then diverge consistently until the end of the file. This suggests the symmetric key is correct and the early pipeline is fine, but later bytes are corrupted before or during the decrypt-in-place / program sequence. Here is how printing every decrypted chunk within DecryptImageInPlace function:For context, I'm using:Internal MCU flashSingle-bank (no swap/rollback)OTA via ST BLE Sensor appProtections temporarily disabled for debugging; verbose logs enabledWhat worksRan 1_Image example on NUCLEO-WB55RG succes

Hi,I'm seeking information on where to purchase alternative LCD touchscreen sizes that compatible with the STM32MP257F-EV1 evaluation board, beside the standard 7-inch touchscreen LCD (P/N: B-LVDS7-WSVGA). It appears that ST’s touchscreen uses a different LVDS touchscreen interface implementation compared to other display vendors, where video signals over LVDS are provided through one connector and the touch interface through a separate connector.Thank you in advance for your assistance.
Heyho, where can I find the specs for STM32 Audio Sample Rate Conversion libraries ?I mean some hard specs like SNR & THD, as can be found in any hardware SRC datasheet.Merci!
Hello everyone, I’m programming a B-U585I-IOT02A board. My goal is to capture audio through the integrated microphone at a sampling rate of 44 kHz and then analyze it using callbacks. I’m using the example provided by ST Electronics, the BSP, from which I use the audio functions, specifically:BSP_AUDIO_IN_Record(0, (uint8_t*) RecBuff, RECBUFF_SIZE*2); First, I initialize the structure like this: BSP_AUDIO_Init_t AudioInit;/* Select device depending on the Instance */AudioInit.Device = AUDIO_IN_DEVICE_DIGITAL_MIC1;AudioInit.SampleRate = AUDIO_FREQUENCY_44K;AudioInit.BitsPerSample = AUDIO_RESOLUTION_16B;AudioInit.ChannelsNbr = 1; AudioInit.Volume = 50; /* Not used */if (BSP_AUDIO_IN_Init(0, &AudioInit) != BSP_ERROR_NONE) { Error_Handler();} The issue I’m facing is: when I use a RecBuff (of type uint16_t) with a length of 44100, I get a callback every 250 milliseconds instead of every second. However, with a sampling rate of 11 kHz and a RecBuff length of 11000, I ge
As reported here, this is obviously incorrect. Also, this has been already reported by Uwe Bonnes for 'F411/RM0383, which has indeed been corrected in the registers description, but the GPIO register map still contains the incorrect value. So, could ST please go through all low-end 'F4 RM and check/correct at both places where applicable?Thanks,JW@Amel NASRI @Uwe Bonnes
Hello,I am not sure if this is the right place to report a documentation errors! There is a typo in Table 11 in page 99. The address should be 0x0803 F000
