I am designing a 3-phase AC to 24 V DC power supply and plan to use the VIPER26K high-voltage converter (as used in the STEVAL-VP26K02F evaluation board) as the main switch-mode controller in a flyback/isolated design. The target specifications are:Input: 3-phase AC, ~90–480 V ACOutput: 24 V DC, ~200 mAI have reviewed the STEVAL-VP26K02F datasheet and schematic. While I believe this device family is suitable for my application, I am unable to simulate the design in LTspice due to the following issues:The available OrCAD/PSPICE models from ST are not directly usable in LTspice.I cannot successfully import or convert the existing model due to signing/encryption and compatibility issues. The product page only lists PSPICE and SIMPLIS models, and I haven't found an LTspice-ready model for the VIPER26K.My questions are:Does ST offer a native LTspice (or compatible SPICE) model for the VIPER26K (e.g., VIPER267KDTR) that I can use for simulation? If a direct LTspice model is unavailable, is the
Hello,I am a graduate student working on power electronics research.I am using STDRIVEG600 in my experiments and simulations.I would like to ask if any simulation model is available for STDRIVEG600.If available, please advise how I can obtain it.Thank you for your support.Best regardslanrain
Hello everyone, I find your new product, the ST87M01-1301, an interesting alternative to Nordic or Simcom. However, I haven't found any hardware design guides for the module yet. Could you please provide some? A schematic would be really helpful, showing how to wire the pins and connect the SIM card, antennas, etc. What is the maximum current draw of the module? If you have any battery management products, how can they be used together (for example: BMS + STM-Host MCU + ST87M01 – an example schematic would be great) so that people can use your specifications as a guide and build their own prototypes with your modules. I really like how Simcom handles their documentation; you could certainly learn from their example. Currently, your documentation for the module is a bit chaotic and incomplete, as if it were done by an intern. Many greetings,Andreas
Both the BoM and Schematic (in the Data Brief) do not show the part numbers or values for L2 and L4 on the STEVAL-STPM801 ORing circuit. Which inductors are used on the reference design? Thank you.
Hello, I have a custom board with a STM32WB55CEU6 and I am trying to programm it through a Nucleo STLink with SWD. The onboard Nucleo CPU is detected and works fine if I add the jumpers, and I can program a different STM32 board with the jumpers removed as well, so the STLink is functional. It fails when trying to connect to the STM32 saying it's unable to detect the Device ID, so no SWD communication happens at all. I have connected SWCLK, SWIO, NRST and GND and checked the polarity multiple times. I also checked with a multimeter, and there is connectivity between the pins. I used a 10cm Dupont Jumper and the traces on the board are around 3cm long. Boot0 is tied to GND. Supply voltage is a clean 3V3 and I am using the internal SMPS, where VDDSMPS is at 0.97V if I plug it in. So I think the STM32 is powered and operational, just not able to connect. I don't really know what else could be going wrong on the board, so I came here to ask for help.
When connecting to a charging port with a USB-C to USB-A cable, the device repeatedly switches between charging and not charging. If the STUSB4500 is supposed to support non-PD sources, how should I configure it to ensure stable charging in this scenario? Thanks!
Dear all, I have a custom PCB with the STM32WBA5MMG module. I missed the keepout requirement in the reference design and pads 2 - 5 and pads 56 / 59. These pads are connected to GND in my design. I did some signal tests, and I have a feeling the antenna is not performing well (I configured +10dbm). Can somebody confirm these pads connected to ground influence the antenna performance? Below is a snippet of the PCB design: Thanks, Robin
Hello ST team,I am using the EVSPIN32G4 evaluation board with sensorless 6-step control.Hardware Setup:Board: EVSPIN32G4Motor: BLDC motor (24 pole pairs)Control mode: Sensorless 6-step (BEMF zero-cross detection)Current sensing: 1 mΩ shunt + external amplifier (Gain = 7.33)PWM frequency: 60 kHzDC bus voltage: 48 VProblem Description:When observing the three phase voltages (U, V, W) on the oscilloscope, I noticed that three phase voltage occasionally becomes flat or loses switching activity during commutation. This issue becomes much more obvious at high speed operation. At low speed:Waveforms are mostly trapezoidal and continuous.as show.At high speed:The floating phase voltage becomes unstable. The BEMF signal appears distorted. In some sectors, one phase seems to lose signal briefly.Ringing and high-frequency oscillation increase significantly.as show. The higher the electrical frequency, the more severe the signal loss.It seems that the floating phase is being clamped or not properly re
Hello,I successfully used linuxptp with stm32mp257f-dk board, but now need to do the same with stm32mp157f-dk2. linuxptp was built from the same latest sources for both boards using corresponding SDK for each board. But when ptp4l is running on stm32mp157f-dk2, debug output shows that required clock adjustments are not being applied to raw ptp clock: I tried to rebuild uImage and modules for stm32mp157f-dk2 using latest sources from v.25.08.27, but result was still the same. Hi,Is underline of text supported by TGFX or will that be part of the ttf-files in Typographies? The goal is a text like this: "Press SETTINGS now."
Hello,In our application there is a STM32L073CZT3 component, we use timers and DMA to generate PWM that simulates a sine wave to start a motor. We encounter a problem with the microcontroller at high temperatures (about 80 degrees Celsius and above). The microcontroller stuck in all sorts of different states, sometimes the DMA and timers continue to work but the communication and control(PID) stop running in the background, sometimes everything stops (the external clock continues to work at 24MHz), and sometimes the DMA interrupts stop working for a few milliseconds (1-7msec) and then start working again (which produces a reset in our case as a result of a return current from the motor, and a protection component that disconnects power to the circuit). Can you help with ideas why this is happening to us? Thanks,Oren Shoef.
I am trying to deploy a custom quantized face detection model(blazeface_front_128_int8.tflite) on the STM32N6570-DK following the Deploy-your-Quantized-Model.md guide from the STM32N6-GettingStarted-FaceDetection repository. (STM32CubeIDE v2.0.0 and stedgeai v3.0).Although the build and run are successful, the display shows constant false detections even with no face present.Could you clarify if specific changes are required in "app_config.h ", and is there a recommended way to verify that the NPU is correctly accessing the "network_data.hex" weights from external flash?
We are students that are trying to make a multi frequency power system interconnection model with a dc link similar to real life back to back hvdc, and we need a converter that supports bidirectional power transfer, is it possible for STEVAL-IPM15B to act as an inverter, then switch to rectifier in case of need for reverse power flow? Making it bidirectional AC<->DC, transferring from AC to DC and vice versa
Hello. I'm having a problem with an STM32H503. I need to use the RTC, which is running on the internal 32kHz LSI clock. The clock configuration was created with CubeMX. When I check the RTC, I see that it has only advanced by 21 seconds in 60 seconds. That's a deviation of 285%. The processor is running on the HSI clock, which is divided by 2, so 32MHz. Does anyone know why the RTC is running 3 times too slow? Init of the RCC: RCC_OscInitStruct.OscillatorType = RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_HSI | RCC_OSCILLATORTYPE_LSI; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIState = RCC_HSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSIDiv = RCC_HSI_DIV2; RCC_OscInitStruct.HSICalibrationValue = RCC_HSICALIBRATION_DEFAULT; RCC_OscInitStruct.LSIState = RCC_LSI_ON; RCC_OscInitStruct.PLL.PLLState = RCC_PLL_NONE; // RCC_PLL_OFF; if (HAL_RCC_OscConfig(&RCC_OscInitStruct) != HAL_OK) { Error_Handler(); } /** Initializes the CPU, AHB and APB buses clocks */ RCC_ClkInitStruct.ClockType = RCC_CLOCKTYPE_HCLK | RCC_CLO
Hello,Where can i find the sources for MX66UW1G45G_STM32N6570-DK-OBL.bin and MX66UW1G45G_STM32N6570-DK.bin? The stm32-external-loader repository does not seem to have these? Thanks!
It's across 'U5, 'H5, 'H7 RMs, maybe more.How did I spot that? I was text-searching for 'NMI' ... :)JW
I am using CubeCLT v1.18.0 on an Ubuntu host. I recently got a new J-Trace and ran into warnings about the firmware version not being recognized. I traced the root of the problem being the version of `libjlinkarm.so.7` that ships with this version of CubeCLT. I need to upgrade to a newer version of the library to resolve the warning. I am already using J-Link v8.48 elsewhere, so I plan to follow this guidance from SEGGER to upgrade the so file. Should it be safe to do this upgrade from v7 to v8? I also noticed that SEGGER release v9.20 of J-Link and was considering going to that. I assume that would include a v9 so. Would that be safe to go to as well? I have a logistical question regarding how ST manages the shipped version of libjlinkarm. It looks like CubeProgrammer specifically expects `libjlinkarm.so.7`. Is there a particular reason for expecting that fixed version name? For me, it would be preferable to expected `libjlinkarm.so` so that I could symlink i
Heyho,I have an application with an STM32H7x3, which might be talking to some other STM32 (type TBD, probably something <= G4) on another stacked PCB.This is only a control interface, so no data streaming with a minimum data rate.I am looking for the "best" interface, with that I mean "highest speed at lowest complexity". Hardware limits:trace length max 30 cm, probably over 1 or 2 connectors max. 4 pins (+1 chip select for each participant also okay)max. 4 STM32x + STM32H7x3 on the "lines"So, I2C or SPI - or anything else ?For reliability I like the I2C's acknowledge, SPI is surely faster and has no address "overhead".Thanks in advance for your input!
Hello ,I want to Access QSPI drivers in STM32H7A3VIH6. However in Cubemx there is only option of OCTOSPI1 and OCTASPI. My question is there way to use QSPI api directly like HAL_QSPI_Init instead of OSPi init?Or we have use OSPI only?Secondly i am using 2 external flash to be used in each QUAD SPI.
stm32使用串口空闲中断,仿真过程中打断或者程序停止运行时串口要是外部有数据geistm32发送,运行后不在进串口空闲中断这种情况谁遇到过, Translation with google: When using a serial port idle interrupt in STM32, if the simulation is interrupted or the program stops running, and there is external data being sent via the serial port, the STM32 stops sending data after the program resumes running. Has anyone encountered this situation?
Hi,Recently I have purchased ELSERVO1 board to drive BLDC Motors with 20A rated current. I dont have a ST Flasher, instead, I am using Nucleo g071rb board and removed the jumper pins in the board to flash the external ST controllers.I have connected exact, pins in both the boards like, SWDIO, SWCLK, VDD and GND but, I am not able to flash the firmware saying ""Target no device found, Error in initializing ST-Link device" Reason: No device found on target"What will be the issue in flashing the firmware?? I was able to flash to other boards.I am suspecting that the ELSERVO1 board has dead..please provide the solution.
Same issue reported in 2020: https://community.st.com/t5/stm32-mcus-products/stm32g473-fdcan-pinout-contradicting/td-p/224770.As of DS12712 Rev 5, Table 13 Alternate Functions has PB10 and PB11 mis-labeled as FDCAN3_RX and FDCAN3_TX respectively.Under AF11, PB10 and PB11 are not available as FDCAN3_RX and FDCAN3_TX.
Our own non-secure application is based on "SMAK_Appli" in the STM32TRUSTEE-SM example and in principle, it works, but debugging is giving me issues. This is with STM32CubeIDE latest version and all tools software and firmware updated to their latest versions, too.Issue 1: Using STLINK-V3 to start debugging, whenever there has been a code change, the first attempt results in a verification error (see log below) and the second attempt then works. This is 100% consistent and terribly annoying since starting the non-secure debugging session is very slow to begin with.Issue 2: Using J-Link to start debugging, it claims flash was programmed (very fast) and debugging seems to work at first, but I found that flash programming was not effective. The flash content is always what it was programmed with using STLINK. So if I want to use J-Link, I have to program with STLINK (twice), then switch to J-Link but I cannot successfully program changed flash content with J-Link.Are these issues know and
Title edited to note that this relates to a Blue Pill board.Hello everyone,I'm starting a learning journey into the STM32 world, specifically studying the HAL library (my past programming experiences didn't rely on ready-made libraries).Right now (after tinkering with GPIOs, LCD management, etc.) I'm working on the SPI dialogue. I have two STM32F103CBT6A development boards, one configured for "Full Duplex Master" and one for "Full Duplex Slave."When trying to send 10 static bytes (10, 20, 30, 100) from both the master and slave sides using the "HAL_SPI_TransmitReceive_IT(&hspi1, TX_Buffer, RX_Buffer, 10)" function, I expect the oscilloscope to see the MOSI line equal to the MISO line without any offsets. This happens for a few seconds after resetting the slave (image 1), but then the bytes on the MISO line shift (image 2). Furthermore (I'm viewing the data received from the slave on an LCD) when this problem occurs, the slave also doesn't receive correctly. After adjusting the codes
