Hello,

We are a company in the rail transport industry and are currently using your TL084AI operational amplifier. However, during use, we have noticed inconsistencies in the markings on the surface of the devices. I have attached an example in the image below. What does “MZE5303” mean? (Note: we currently have another batch, such as MZE4303. What does this represent?) Which characters indicate the date code (for example, the batch number)? We would appreciate your detailed explanation. Thank you in advance.

Thank you very much for including the marking text that is difficult to read in the photo.

The marking 084AI in the first line, as suspected, stands for TL084AI.
Apart from the last three characters of the second line, which have the meaning YWW, the characters before them are internal information. Y stands for the last digit of the production year, and WW for the calendar week.

So, the OP’s devices could just as easily have been made in the third week of 1993 as in the third week of 2023?
