Hi I am currently working on a project where I have to implement TCP/IP stack on STM32F429ZI 144 pin nucleo board. Board has PHY chip.My question is how does the MAC controller knows when a jabber or collision event occurs since these events are handled by PHY chip. PHY chip shown in schematic for nucleo board, has no connections other than RMII (like error interrupt?) to STM32 MCU.
I have to support a legacy product with SPWF01SA module.Looking for detailed documentation on the module (not of the Nucleo shied).I know that it is obsolete or NRND or whatever, but still need as much details as available.Any pointers?
I work with STPM34 and STPM33. I want to make a relay protection terminal with it. You have to take readings very quickly. Every 20 milliseconds. How i think it working:1) RMS current and voltage registers count RMS value 200 milliseconds and then then reset the registers and start again.> Or the register is never reset to zero. Continuously counting samples over the last 200 milliseconds. Old ones are removed, new ones are added.2) When we do latching at this moment the main register is zeroed or continues to count? As I understand it, it just takes a snapshot of the value RMS registers into the register latch.3) If I take values once every 20 milliseconds, will this be true?
Hey,I am using an LSM6DSM with a 32bit MCU,I am using the generic C code provided by STM,I was able to configure it and get inital readings but after some time,it has stopped sending reading ,I am checking the "status_reg.xlda" value to check for new acceleration data, but its not being set.
I have an application where I wake-up the BLUENRG-2 source from IO11 is low. but its not work. as a debug I config UART On Tx IO4 & Rx IO 5. for wake up and sleep I print sleep and wakeup. its continues print wake and sleep. when I set IO11 to GND, or IO11 set to VDD, IO11 has Pullup register. in both VDD and GND connect with IO11 its continues sleep and wake. wakeup_source = WAKEUP_IO11; wakeup_level = (WAKEUP_IOx_LOW << WAKEUP_IO11_SHIFT_MASK); printf("Sleep \r\n"); BlueNRG_Sleep(SLEEPMODE_NOTIMER, wakeup_source, wakeup_level);In above code is there any functionality issue with this or what else I need to know what is the problem with IO11.Thanks
I was not able to find the answer to this in the QA/Knowledge Base. I understand ST documentation says not to mess with the STM32-F103xx as it comes pre-programmed from the factory. However I have a board whose serial communications between the host PC are broken, but appears to be otherwise functioning. Thus I can neither communicate with nor re-flash the board over the serial interface (little more than a brick).I posted an earlier question under BLEMesh (possibly the wrong posted area) entitled "My (new) BlueNRG-LP STEVAL-IBD011V2 evaluation board is no longer recognized by MS-Windows Device manager when I plug into the USB port. How can I recover this functionality?" However this is a different question (albeit tangentially related), so I wanted to keep the questions separate. My thinking is if I can rewrite serial bridge I/O firmware loaded at the factory, perhaps I can recover the board serial communications with the host PC.
I purchased a STEVAL-STWINKT1B development board and inside it has the STR485 chip for RS485 communication.I tried using the cube mx and configured it appropriately (see image 1 attached), enabled uart2, RS485 flowcontrol and then checked that the pins on the board schematic matched. Then this I simply tried to send the data on the uart to see if I could see the A and B signals coming off the chip with the oscilloscope change, but nothing seems to happen. this is the code i used to send the message on the UART: while (1) { uint8_t *prova="0123456789"; HAL_UART_Transmit(&huart2, prova, 10, 100); HAL_Delay(3000); /* USER CODE END WHILE */ /* USER CODE BEGIN 3 */ }how can I solve this problem?
Hi,I work on a project, the objective is to communicate nRF52840 with ( STEVAL-STMODLTE , puce with modem BG96 steval-stmodlte ) .the problem is that I don't receive the correct data from the modem .I attached a screenshot of the data received . and yesterday i did a test, i communicated with a direct FTDI cable on the tx, rx, gnd of the modem and PC using a tool QUALCOMM QCOM to send AT command and i received the same incorrect data .By info on the chip STEVAL-STMODLTE there is a usb port to send AT commands and it works well when you connect to the micro usb port, and also at the output of the chip i measure 3,3v and at the output of the modem BG96 i measure 1,8v because there is a shifter level in schematics Link ( 8 . Schematic diagrams).Concerning the baudrate, when I connect in usb micro, I send the command AT : AT+IPR? it responds well 115200 .Thank you for your help , I'm stuck .Best regards,
We have an application where the STUSB4500 is used in conjunction with and STM32L4 family MCU, handling USB2.0 data. So the STUSB provides power (USBPD) and the DP DM lines are routed to the MCU. There is an issue specifically when using a macOS laptop (version 12.4) and connecting our device by using a USBC-to-USBC cable. The laptop correctly negotiates a power contract but does not appear as a device. I am pretty sure this is USBPD related since if I use a USBA-to-USBC cable it works fine. It's worth noting that this happens with both M1 and not-M1 MacBooks, while this issue does not manifest with linux and windows machine.
Hi! I'm working with spirit1 module. I'm monitoring internal registers reading them one time per second. After reset mc_state registers C0 and C1 contains values 0x02 and 0x07, what means READY state. I'm trying to put it now in RX mode with command 0x62. I get immediately registers C0 and C1 0x02 and 0x27, what means unknown error. This one error I'm steady getting whatever I do with RX or TX. I can't find nowhere, what this error means and what is wrong? May be radio module needs some special initialization after Reset? No sign of such topic. Might be very kind if in manual would be some c++ code for initialization like in MRF24 manual. Apropos, manual and datasheet are absolute terrible comparing with such of mrf24. So could someone help me?
Hello,Is they have any PCB antenna design (.dxf file or other) which i can use with BlueNRG-2N ?Tahnk you,Sincerely.
I want to connect 7 LED's on one output in series, using a current of 20 mA. Each LED can have a forward voltage of 3V, which means 7 x 3 = 21 V. I want to use a power supply of 24V.I read in the specifications that the max Vo (Output Voltage) is rated 20V. But how do I interpret this? If I drive my LED's, each taking 3V, the voltage on the output pin will only be 24V - (7 x 3V) = 3V, which is far below the max rated Output Votage. With other words, powering my LED's with a 24 V power rail is not a problem?
Hello, anybody can explain to me the difference between the BlueNRG-2 SoC and the BlueNRG-2N co-processor?Thank you,Sincerely
Hello, I'm using git with my project based on a CubeWL example. After wanting to add this gitignore and delete unnecessary files (i.e. examples that I don't use, but I kept the drivers of course), it doesn't work anymore... ...Git/STM32WL55/STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.1.0/Projects/NUCLEO-WL55JC/Applications/Sigfox/Sigfox_PushButton/Core/Src/main.c:171: undefined reference to `HAL_RCC_ClockConfig'c:\st\stm32cubeide_1.6.1\stm32cubeide\plugins\com.st.stm32cube.ide.mcu.externaltools.gnu-tools-for-stm32.9-2020-q2-update.win32_2.0.0.202105311346\tools\arm-none-eabi\bin\ld.exe: ./Application/User/Core/main.o: in function `main':C:/Users/adminlla/Documents/9-Git/STM32WL55/STM32Cube_FW_WL_V1.1.0/Projects/NUCLEO-WL55JC/Applications/Sigfox/Sigfox_PushButton/Core/Src/main.c:76: undefined reference to `HAL_Init'Etc.. Right there ok, but when I go back to the previous commit it doesn't work either...It's as if some "include" has disappearedA lead ?Thank youLouis
We are trying to integrate the STEVAL-STMODLTE chip into the NRF52 for rapid prototyping.Trying to interface nrf52840 with the STEVAL-STMODLTE chip via UART. Connecting the RX and TX, and sending the "AT" command after the UART initializes, the modem does not respond. The question is, am I missing something on the connection side? ( TX , RX , Ground ) Between the MCU (nrf52) and the STEVAL-STMODLTE chip? i.e. apart from RX and TX if other pins also need to be connected?I'm sure I'm missing something simpler, we tried the same way using MCU(nrf52) with an STM32 and it worked fine.Could you help me please ? Thanks in advance.By Information, I configured the voltage level GPIO at 1.8v and I can wakeup the modem using PWRKEY Pin Best regards,
Hi all,We have solution based in a STM32G0B1 microcontroller which needs a very fast communication towards an SPI memory, for doing that, we think in using the dual spi read mode (DREAD), is possible to that whithin this micro? Or we have to go to another micro? Eventually the very approach could be the QuadSPI, but unfornately the STM32G0B1 has only 3 SPI, so our idea is to use the Double Read option (4 bits transfer mode or in this case eventually the 8 bit mode). Is this possible? Thanks in advance.
Hi,I am trying to use a custom OTA application to perform firmware updates. The code works (default Service manger OTA code from the DK) till the image size of the app uploaded is below the address 0x10057800. As soon as the firmware image exceeds this threshold, OTA does not work. I read it in the user manual that the image base needs to be fixed to a particular address, how can I do that? Also I want the image to boot from that particular new address. Please help.Thanks.
So I am trying to use BlueNRG-MS, SPBTLE-RF device on a custom board. To use this device i tried to use BLE cube expansion with SampleApp application. I am configuring SPI and GPIO pins correctly. Project builds and loads fine but after booting but code sometimes gets in to a loop at here (in while). hci_notify_asynch_evt return 0.void hci_tl_lowlevel_isr(void){ /* Call hci_notify_asynch_evt() */ while(IsDataAvailable()) { hci_notify_asynch_evt(NULL); } /* USER CODE BEGIN hci_tl_lowlevel_isr */ /* USER CODE END hci_tl_lowlevel_isr */} any suggestions and feedback are welcome. Thanks in advance,Marco

Dear All,I am wondering what is the quickest way to start using STEVAL-IDS001V4M for some basic radio tests. On web page sections for software and documentation are very thin.I found here https://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/sales_and_marketing/presentation/product_presentation/ab/1b/d8/4d/8c/48/4f/65/SubGHz_SPIRIT1_Modules.pdf/files/SubGHz_SPIRIT1_Modules.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.SubGHz_SPIRIT1_Modules.pdf info that predecessor SP1ML-868/915 had AT-command firmware available but cannot find anything for STEVAL-IDS001V4M.Is there firmware available that one could use with AT-commands or/and virtual-comm api?If not, what is recommended way to start?Thank you!
Hi,I am developing firmware for an application where in I need to perform an OTA to a higher version (better performance version for instance) and this can keep on continuing, such that I can always update to a higher version from a previous version which was attained using OTA.Currently, I am able to update using the OTA service manager to a Hello world application. However, if I wish to update to another application with OTA services too, how can I do that? I tried following the same code of OTA service into the new application, but that did not work. I tried adding the preprocessor and linker options in the new application specified by ST in their OTA firmware upgrade PDF, but that prevents me from using OTA services & characteristics inside the user code (request callbacks etc.). Please help, many thanks!
