Posted on September 12, 2016 at 11:14Hi,I have doubt, what is the difference between AP(Access point) and miniAP.Is there any functionality difference? Is there any less functionality in miniAP compare to AP?Thanks Basavanagouda
Posted on September 09, 2016 at 12:02I'm evaluating the SPWF01x module for use in a cable-replacement application. What I need to do is setup the module as an AP, connect to it and switch to data mode. Following the documentation I've already put the module in MiniAP mode, set the desired IP, enabled the DHCP server and stored all required passkeys. I've run some tests and it already works as needed (which is very good indeed) except for one thing: after a reboot of the module, the socket server is always off. I would like to know if and how the server can be activated automatically when the module is powered on. Thank you in advance
Posted on September 08, 2016 at 18:04Hello community !!! I joined X-NUCLEO-IDB05A1 and nucleo board, respectively, then dropped F401RE example Eddystone URL, address on the board is determined FF: FF: FF: FF: FF: FF (see smartphone device, radio works) but the example does not seem to work, I try with Android 6 to 7 Android (Nexus 5X) I also used beacon radars Google play that also did not lead to success.I can not consider me a URL does not come from an alert beacon. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. And as an example to work? Or am I a fool) This example should just work like this question.
Posted on September 07, 2016 at 12:00Hello, I'm using the ST BLE (SPBTLE-RF) to send data from MCU to smartphone. We used an entire solution from ST (VL53L0X sensor, STM32F401 MCU and SPBTLE-RF BLE). I want to send many packets (a lot of data, >50 ko) using HCI_Process() function, but I couldn't. I modified this function to do a loop, but it sent only the first 22 bytes for each packet. For this BLE service, I used : ret = aci_gatt_add_char(envSensServHandle, UUID_TYPE_128, uuid, size_packet, CHAR_PROP_READ, ATTR_PERMISSION_NONE, GATT_NOTIFY_READ_REQ_AND_WAIT_FOR_APPL_RESP,
Posted on September 07, 2016 at 10:59Hello, I am using Blue NRG along with L051. I have used GATT_char_update_value for changing the GAP device name from default 'BlueNRG' to something taht I want. I am using nRF Master Control application on an android phone. From my phoine, when I change the Device Name from the app on my phone, how do I detect it in my code?Till now, I have figured that it goes to AttributeModified callback function with the handle value 0x07 always. For now, I have hard coded this value 0y07. Is there anyway to check the handle without hand coding it as 7? I am aware that in addService function i have to call aci_gatt_add_char with the service handle and define a new charUuid and aparticular gatt event mask. But this event mask is not defined in gatt_server.h. only 0x01 to 0x04 are defined. What about 0x07? should I define it in my service? #bluehci_gatt_write_charac_val
Posted on September 07, 2016 at 10:53Hello, I'm looking to buy the http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/evaluation-tools/solution-evaluation-tools/healthcare-and-wellness-solution-eval-boards/steval-ime002v1.html demonstration board and use some kind of wireless communication to transmit the signal from the mini USB port. Is this possible to do with a FTDI converter (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9716) conneted to a bluetooth module or will I have problems? Thanks in advance!
Posted on September 02, 2016 at 17:02Hello I am using a Nucleo F103 RB with XNUCLEO-IDW01M1 board to develop the code.I have been successfully using the Update over the air feature for some time.I now have an image file that has grown because of the extra features on the Web pages etcFrom my console I get the following message :-<TX> at+s.httpdfsupdate=192.168.0.12,/outfile.img<RX> Invalid HTTPD_FS image, length (633215)I am not sure if my image file is somehow corrupt or just too large. My previous image files have worked perfectly from a PC set up as web serverand are approx 300k in length.I have tried running Httpd_gen.exe a few times but the same results. Is there a maximum size permitted ?

Posted on August 13, 2015 at 13:38Hi everyone, I'm using SPWF01SA.11 as a client in tcp connection but when i try to send escape_seq message getting ''ERROR: Data mode not available '' I'm wondering is there no data mode in tcp client connection? I get confuse little bit Thanks
Posted on August 19, 2016 at 06:41Hi,I'm communicate two spwf01 module one as server and another one as client use AT commands. Client send data to server and on the UART rx interrupt is generating for the received data. But it sends data from server to client I'm not getting any indication of data arrival. How to solve this problem.Kindly provide sever and client both way communication example AT command code.please suggest to solve this issueThank you Basavanagouda
Posted on August 25, 2016 at 20:20Could you post the Release Notes for BlueNRG-MS stack v7.2a? The last stack posted on the http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/wireless-connectivity/bluetooth-bluetooth-low-energy/bluenrg-ms.html is 7.1e. Stack v7.2a is being distributed with the BlueNRG GUI 2.0. I'm trying to figure out when the length of the ACI_GATT_ADD_CHAR command changed.
Posted on August 28, 2016 at 17:17 Hi all. I'm getting timeout from function: aci_gatt_update_char_value(...) even client get notify value as expected. description: Add Characteristic: ret = aci_gatt_add_char(ServiceHandle, UUID_TYPE_128, uuid, 1, CHAR_PROP_NOTIFY ,0,0,16, 0, &CharHandle); I'm using NRF software to read characteristic values.(type ''nrf connect''in app store) Notify from server side by calling function: aci_gatt_update_char_value ( ServiceHandle , // service handle CharHandle, // characteristic handle // 0, // characteristic value offset 1,// characteristic value length &number; // characteristic I'm getting the value in my cell phone but function aci_gatt_update_char_value return timeout. if i try to notify again, i'll get new value as expected but the same timeout error return on server side(my embedded ca
Posted on August 26, 2016 at 09:12I used BLUENRG IC with firmware version 4.6b mode 2. To control this IS I used MCU STM32f407VGT. For comminication each other I used HCI protocol. Data transfer between the client and BLUENRG server occured by the following scenario: client requests for reading data from characteristic and MCU call function aci_gatt_update_char_value. This scenario works correctly for low data rate (delay between request approximately 200 ms). When data rate is high (delay ~20 ms) after (~20000) timeout of update characteristic apperes.Do you have any idea why timeout appears? In my opinion this problem is overflow buffer in the RAM of BLUENRG module. How to solve this problem?
Posted on May 23, 2016 at 15:49In the BlueNRG-MS datasheet it is stated that it can act as a central and being connected to up to 8 devices in paralell.I'm looking for a project that can demonstrate something close to that.I have the ''Profiles_Central'' project from file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/STMicroelectronics/STM32CubeExpansion_BLE1_V2.6.0/Documentation/OSXSmartConnPS.chm but this is a single peripheral example. #bluenrg-ms

Posted on August 24, 2016 at 03:15Our customer has requested that our device using the SPWF01SA use modified http headers in the response for the firstset.cgi page. Is there a way to modify the headers? Perhaps a special file in the filesystem that could be editted to override whatever constant text is used to generate the response headers? Thanks
Posted on August 22, 2016 at 10:50Hello! I'm building the system with cooperation of Host MCU - SPWF at one side and PC with client-program at the other side. They are in the same LAN and they communicate through wifi router. SPWF is a TCP-server and it works in DATA MODE, program on the PC is TCP-client. Host MCU generates data (ADC samples) and sends data stream via UART to SPWF. I use 875000 baud console speed and hardware flow control with 3000 threshold. MCU generates, for example, six 8-bit channels at 4kHz sample rate. It's 24000 bytes per second. I have an internal circle buffer which size is 92000 bytes only (MCU SRAM is limited). It fills with new data in tail and MCU sends some data bytes from the buffer's head when SPWF allows (RTS is low). When RTS is high MCU desn't send data and only collects new data. And the problem is that SPWF produces wifi data from serial so slowly... It often pulls RTS pin high. And host MCU stops to send new bytes to console whereupon an interna
Posted on August 15, 2016 at 16:48I'm finding very little info on how to set up the module. Can anybody point me to some sample scripts or something? My goal is to see the SSID with a phone/tablet/laptop and connect to it and then open a webpage on the module so I can send/receive a simple text file of data. So I think I want to set up as a mini AP. I've fumbled around and found that if I change any settings I need to turn the wifi off/on to update the settings. Right now I have an SSID that I can see with my phone, but when I connect I get the following:+WIND:28:Station 00:34:DA:9A:1F:42 Associated:0 +WIND:72:Station 00:34:DA:9A:1F:42 Disassociated:3 and my phone hangs on ''obtaining ip address''. The phone says it is using WEP and prompts me for a string. I enter 5 ascii zeros and the connect button activates so I can connect, but then it hangs. Not sure if i'm having WEP issues or DHCP issues. Any thoughts? I've sent the
Posted on August 12, 2016 at 08:17I cannot find information on the SPWFS01 UART RX buffer. How big is it? Since I have an issue when controlling the SPFWS01 from a host using UART. We have a cycle where we use HTTPREQ and in there use GET, PUT and then DELETE. Since the PUT also contains more headers and a body this message is a lot larger than the other ones but it is within the limits of my buffers (both HW and SW). However this AT+HTTPREQ with PUT works 49/50 times with the one erronous time being when the HOST is not able to transmit more than its first character. We are using HWFC and 38,4k.Any ideas?
Posted on August 10, 2016 at 10:25I am using my SPWFS01 together with a host controller. The host will, at startup, configure the SPWFS01 after which it will try to connect to a certain WiFi. This has worked for a long period of time but now suddently it does not work. My host sends this to the module:AT+S.SCFG=wifi_mode,0AT+S.SCFG=wifi_wpa_psk_text,wifipassAT+S.SSIDTXT=wifissidAT+S.SCFG=wifi_priv_mode,2AT+S.SCFG=wifi_mode,1AT&WAT+CFUN=0after which it performs a HW reset.Usually, the module responds OK to everything and then boots. Now however, the response isOKOKOKOKOKOKand then nothing. It appears that it responds OK to everything up until saving configuration in flash. What could be the cause of this?Regards
Posted on August 10, 2016 at 14:14Hello everyone ! I'm sorry about those dumb questions, but I just began my internship 2 days ago in a company that wants to work with the SPWF01SA module. They gave 2 boxes and no explanation. And the guy who used to work on it left. So I'm alone with that...In one of those boxes, there is a Silica Branca board, an eval board for the module. I followed the guide http://www.emcu.it/WiFi/WiFi-QuickStartGuide/WiFiQuickStart.htmlbut something doesn't work, and I don't know why. My computer recognizes the card as a COM device, and I can connect it thanks to Tera Term. But that's it. Once it's connected, I don't have any message, and when I try to send the ''AT'' command, it doesn't respond. It doesn't respond at any command. I tried with Putty and Termite, same problem. But with Termite, sometime, I have a bunch of ''[00]'''s that look like it's sent by the card. Sometimes I have 2 or 3, sometimes I can have hundreds of them. And that's everything I c
Posted on August 11, 2016 at 09:40I need to perform an HTTP Get request to a server that supports listed parameters, an example being:myshop.com/storesrequest.aspx?userid=1234&zipcodes=123,456,789As you can see the zipcodes parameter supports a list of values separated by a comma. The problem with this is that the SPWF01S interprets the comma as another configuration parameter for the HTTP Get command. The server is a fixed third party server and cannot be changed. Is there a way to issue an HTTP Get that contains commas? #httpget
Posted on July 27, 2016 at 06:31Hello! I have some troubles with wifi module. At first I have upgraded a firmware of my SPWF01SA.11from ver 3.3 (default) to ver 3.5 following instructions. And since this moment I found unexpected reaction of module for ''AT+CFUN'' command. Now, If I send from console ''AT+CFUN=1'' module gets RESTART event and puts to the console: ''+WIND:2:Reset'' and ... NOMORE! No reaction for any console command while hardware reset button not being pressed. I think, the module is not responding. And now I cannot reset the module from console (by host MCU software), only by hardware button on pcb. How can I eliminate this trouble? Best regards, Daniel. #bug #spwf01sa
Posted on July 25, 2016 at 09:33We are attempting to use (and modify) the web interface of the module to configure it to connect to a certain SSID. The WiFi we are currently working towards have an SSID with a blank space in it. When using the web interface this results in the module trying to connect to a WiFi with the format Wifi%20Name rather than its real name, Wifi Name. The blank space does not seem to transcend into the module, it parses it as its actualy characters. Anyone have a solution for this? Regards,Pontus
Posted on July 29, 2016 at 11:28Hi,I am currently using STW81200 Synthesizer in integer mode.I am wondering if there is a way to use fractionnal mode features (such as the DSM) to control the VCO relative phase to the reference input? This is something that we can find on similar products. Thanks in advance and regards,MAS #stw81200
