Posted on November 03, 2017 at 10:42 Hello to everyone. I have a project I use blueNRG-1 I have problems with energy consumption in the project no problem in advertising mode and connection status current in connection status : ~ 250uA current in advertising mode : ~50uA But; current in discovery mode : ~4mA battery voltage drops to 2.4v at 4mA current I use CR2032 3V battery. is this a special case for discovey mode or am I doing something wrong? my summary code; uint8_t Start_Discovery_Proc(void) // start discovery procedure { uint8_t ret; ret = aci_gap_start_general_discovery_proc(DISCOVERY_PROC_SCAN_INT, DISCOVERY_PROC_SCAN_WIN, PUBLIC_ADDR, 0x00); BlueNRG_Sleep(SLEEPMODE_NOTIMER,0,0); if(ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { return 0x00; } return 0x01; } uint8_t Stop_Discovery_Proc(void) // stop discovery procedure { uint8_t ret; ret = aci_gap_terminate_gap_proc(0x02); // GENERAL_DISCOVERY_PROCEDURE if (ret != BLE_STATUS_SUCCESS) { return 0x00; } retur
Posted on March 31, 2016 at 11:41Hi,I'm currently working on using SPBTLE-RF module with the evaluation board of the KL25Z from Freescale.After I set up the SPI interface, I tried a byte-communication with the module by sending Write Header ( 0x0a, 0x00, 0x00,0x00, 0x00), some data (supposed to be HCI command, see further) and then the Read Header ( 0x0b, 0x00, 0x00,0x00, 0x00) in order to get something in return . Here is what I send/receive :---- START ---- **** SLAVE HEADER WRITE 0x02 0x7F 0x00 0x07 0x00 **** Received : 0xFF Sent : 0x01 Received : 0xFF Sent : 0x09 Received : 0xFF Sent : 0x04 Received : 0xFF Sent : 0x00 **** SLAVE HEADER READ 0x02 0x00 0x00 0x00 0x00 **** ---- END ----Whenever I try to read some data (by sending read header) coming from the module aft
Posted on October 26, 2017 at 14:27Hello all,I have a bluenrg-1 working as a master and it is connected to a bluenrg-1 working as a slave. The connection is established and it is working fine.When I send the command aci_gatt_disc_all_primary_services() I received a response from the event aci_att_read_by_group_type_resp_event(), so I can obtain the UUID characteristic from the slave. Now I would like to know the characteristics of that UUID from the slave ( like char_properties, char_value_length). Though I can do it sending the command aci_gatt_disc_char_by_uuid(), when I send the command the response is ok but I do not get anything from the event aci_gatt_disc_read_char_by_uuid_resp_event() as it is not called.Am I doing it wrong or there is a better way to do it, to get the information I need from the slave?Thank you
Posted on August 31, 2017 at 15:05I am using the example certificates provided by ST (en.STSW-TLSpack.zip), specifically Example 2 for encrypted communications in One Way mode.I am using the 'Client_Socket' example of the SDK 'STM32CubeExpansion_WIFI1_V3.0.2' in a NUCLEO-F401RE and the WIFI module SPWF04SA (X-NUCLEO-IDW04A1).Using OpenSSL I have obtained the Subject Key Identifier of the file 'ca_cert.pem' which is '3EF1747FD79122144BCADF4F95DF960A32823B4C', and the certificate I placed it in a char array in the SDK sample code.For server testing, I am using a Raspberry Pi and OpenSSL, I have placed all the necessary files together in a directory and started the server with the following command line:openssl s_server -cert server_cert.pem -key server_key.pem -tls1_2 -www -accept 4443Start the NUCLEO-F401RE card next to the shield X-NUCLEO-IDW04A1 configured in USART mode, and I get the following:-> OpenSSL Server on Raspberry Pi at 172.26.3.83:Using default temp DH parametersACCEPT
Posted on January 04, 2017 at 09:52Hello,I'am using this module to connecte my borad to Internet. This module can create a mini AP so a user can connect its laptaop or smartphone to the SPWF01 and configure the WIFI connexion (SSID and pass).I have no problème to connect to the mini AP with an old WIKO smartphone but I can't connect with a newer smartphone (Huawei P9 lite).I have also discover a weird thing : If I first connect anything (old WIKO or laptop) to the mini AP, and then try with the P9 lite, it can connect to the mini AP.thanks for your help.Marc G

Posted on October 22, 2017 at 16:20Hi,I have a problem with the messages from SPFW04 being mixed up as my 'output from remote'-message is interrupted by the OK message.My microcontroller is updating the SSI via UART ten times per second and the answer from SPWF04 looks like this:AT-S.Managing Tokens:7AT-S.OKSometimes I am sending from my website 'abort' what looks like this:+WIND:57:Output from remote:5:abortIn some cases this is mixed up and I receive:+WIND:57:Output from remote:5:AT-S.Managing Tokens:7AT-S.OKabortI already tried to set down the verbose of the console (console_verbose=0, console_winds=1) but ended up with the message:WIND:57:5:AT-S.OKabortDoes anyone know a solution?Thanks and regards

Posted on October 19, 2017 at 20:58Hello,I am working on a smart meter project and looking for RF transceiver IC for Sub-1GHz bands for Wireless m-bus. I found the S2-LP (http://www.st.com/content/ccc/resource/technical/document/datasheet/group3/bd/26/62/81/3d/86/4d/15/DM00339133/files/DM00339133.pdf/jcr:content/translations/en.DM00339133.pdf) seems to fit the requirements. Here are my question before I actually go ahead with that selection:1. S2-LP has SPI interface so I believe I can use any microcontroller with it? I am planning to use STM32L0 / L1 2. Is all the software stack available to implement wireless m-bus? 3. Do I need to use any specific compiler (like IAR) ? or I can develop using GNU ARM compiler?4. Is there any RF module limitation i.e. do I have to use SPSGRF-868 RF module as is used in evaluation board X-NUCLEO-IDS01A4? Any help will be very much appreciated!thanks Silas#smart-metering #wm-bus #s2-lp
Posted on August 16, 2017 at 16:58Hello everyone,I have the BLUENRG-1 running and working ( advertising, creating connections, sleeping ).Now I would like to write a unique ID in each bluenrg-1 and then read it when the application starts up but not really sure how I should do it.Can anyone help me on this.Thanks
Posted on October 25, 2017 at 03:34I'm working on a product where the BlueNRG RF during transmit is affecting our measurements. I was wondering if the TEST8 or TEST9 pins would be useful in avoiding the periods when BlueNRG is transmitting? I noticed the pins listed at the bottom of the BlueNRG IFR window of the BlueNRG GUI. I'm trying to find more documentation about the pins.Additionally, would it be reasonable to leave the BlueNRG-MS in test mode for a production device? Is power consumption or other performance affected much by this test mode?

Posted on October 19, 2017 at 18:24Hi,I am working on the IDW01M1 wifi module. To-date I have been able to connect 2 of these modules to a common server and send commands between them via the server. I am now trying to connect directly between the modules without the need for the server. I have been able to create an adhoc network but I am unsure about how to setup the boards as both clients and servers. I have searched for any setup information for communicating between 2 IDW01M1 boards and have not been successful.Could anybody point me in the right direction as to how I could get communications going directly between 2 boards.Regards,COD#wifi-spwf01sa #idw01m1

I'm using the Windows application 'SPIRIT1 DK Application v2.2.1' to configure the radio and packet settings of the STEVAL-IDS001V4M module, then using the 'Transmission Test' window to send the text 'Hello World'.The radio and packet settings for the STEVAL-IDS001V4M are as follows (configured via the GUI):Frequency Base: 867.999967 MHzData Rate: 38.433 kbpsFrequency Deviation: 19.836 kHzChannel Filter: 102.115 kHzModulation: 2-FSKOutput Power: 0 dBmPacket Format: BASICPreamble Length: 4Sync Length: 4Sync Value: 0x88888888CRC: No CRCFEC: DisabledData Whitening: EnabledThe radio and packet settings for the STEVAL-SP1ML868 are as follows:S00:BAUD_RATE=115200S01:FREQUENCY=868000000S02:DATA_RATE=38400S03:MODULATION=0S04:OUT
Posted on October 20, 2017 at 20:53I have a project in which we are making a small IoT device. It will be using Wifi using the http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/wireless-connectivity/wi-fi/spwf04sa.html. We would like to just add low priority tasks to the code inside the http://www.st.com/content/st_com/en/products/wireless-connectivity/wi-fi/spwf04sa.html which would require that we get the source code for it. Has anyone hear of people doing this?

According to UM1695 it should be flushing pending data (using the AT+S.READ command) is mandatory before closing the socket connection (AT+S.SOCKC). If the buffer is not erased, the “ERROR: Pending data is raised. . I cant find description AT+S.READ. How can I do that properly?AT+S.READERROR: Command not foundAT+S.SOCKC=00ERROR: Pending data
