Migration issue from 5.4.0 to 5.5.0

Dear customers,

We are facing a little issue during the migration from the 5.4.0 to the 5.5.0 (reported in this thread https://community.st.com/s/question/0D50X0000BxzZV9SQM/upgraded-stm32cubemx-from-540-to-550-and-now-it-fails-to-generate-the-project)

To avoid having this problem, please migrate to the 5.5.0 by installing the new package from the web and not updating from the tool.

Best regards,

STM32CubeMX team

I'm using 5.5.0 and want to import a 5.4.0 project but the Import Project is grayed out. This is a fresh install

Hello @Community member

Import do work only on a fresh loaded MCU, importing on a configured MCU (like in the screenshot) will be available in a future release of MX

I firstly removed the 5.5.0 which was installed via update tools and then install 5.5.0. However, it still failed to generate the project.0690X00000D9kegQAB.png

I have the same problem0690X00000DXDEEQA5.jpg

I guess you are using Java13. If yes, please remove this version and install at least Java11 or Java8. We found an issue with Java13/Keil IDE, this issue is not related to STM32CubeMX upgrade process.

For info: STM32CubeMX is not yet validated/tested with Java13.

The new 5.6.0 with Java 8 still has the same error.
