Did you login to STM in the ide?
Now you have to...
But anyway, maybe better download new version of ide, than trying an update - my experience on Linux system.
And disable the " auto search for update" , on my system behaviour is better now.

Hello @debugging
First let me thank you for posting.
In order to update your STM32CubeIDE 1.15 , you need to check your connection by following those steps :
window-->Preferences --> type Proxy in filter
Choose Active Provider : Direct then click Apply.
But there is an issue related to the update that has been detected in ticket 180624. For the moment, I advise you to download STM32CubeIDE 1.15.1 from this LINK

Thank you all.
AScha.3 Yes, logged in.
As stated, installed 1.15.1 fresh from the link, which needed to delete the .metadata folder and import all the projects). After that, even with direct setting (no proxy) still getting the error: unable to read the repository.
P.S: Seen now others post from people with the same problem.
