Is there any Nucleo board offerings for STM32MP1 series. If not, are there any future plans for the same?

Note that SDMMC3 (together with other interfaces which could be useful for a WiFi+BLE module like UART SAI, etc...) is available on GPIO expansion connector of STM32MP157D-DK1 (the one without 1DX module nor display as probably useless for your trials) or STM32MP157F-EV1.

I think this could be handy for modules evaluation (using direct wiring or a small custom PCB).

If you need high-speed and good signal integrity on SDMMC3, DK1 would be recommended as wires to GPIO expansion are shorter than EV1 board.

Hi @KK.4 ,

No we only offer Discovery and Evaluation boards.

What would you expect from a Nucleo ? Is it a matter of price or functionalities ?

Thanks,

Olivier

Thanks for the quick reply.

We wanted to have the functionality, as we would like to test the board with different communication modules of our choice.

Hi,

there is no plan to offer a Nucleo for MPU products.

Depend on your needs, STM32MP157x-DK1/DK2 board offer Arduino as well a general purpose IO connector (similar to the one on well known fruit-named board)

Nevertheless, there is plenty of 3rd party offering with STM32MP1 series which could be similar to a Nucleo (small size, reduced peripheral set and optimized cost).

See https://www.st.com/en/ecosystems/components-and-modules.html?querycriteria=productId=SC2287$$1=*Mp1*&aggOrder=0%7C1%7C2%7C3%7C4#products

or simply search on the web for "STM32MP1 module"

Thanks for your reply. The intention here is to evaluate different communication modules (Wi-Fi + BLE) with STM32MP1 host, having the flexibility of a Nucleo setup. I could see that the development board is already equipped with Wi-Fi + BLE combo module 1DX from Murata, interfaced over SDIO. I would like to test STM32MP1 with a different Wi-Fi module of choice but didn't want to start the development from scratch.
