What is the ST product longevity commitment program?

The ST product longevity program is a formal commitment by STMicroelectronics to ensure the long-term availability of ST products for a defined period of 7, 10, 15 or 20 years.

STM32 product longevity program overview

ST’s product longevity program ensures a long-term availability of 10 years for STM32 microcontrollers, with a commitment renewed annually.

The program covers a broad range of STM32 products, including legacy and recently launched product series. For each STM32 part number included in the program, ST warrants the date until which the part remains available for ordering.

How to check STM32 part numbers longevity

The products covered by the program are listed in the Product Longevity page.

The STM32 microcontrollers part numbers supported by the program are listed in the tab 10 Years. The date of availability is shown for each part number in the column “available until.”

In this example taken in 2025, ST warrants that the STM32N6 parts listed are available for ordering until January 2035 (2025 + 10 years).

In 2026:

  • If the product continues to be part of the program, the “available until” date changes to “January 2026” (2026 + 10 years)
  • If the product is not part of the program anymore, the “available until” date stays at “January 2025”

Alternatively, this information can be found directly on the product page. Look for the circle icon labeled “X years longevity commitment" next to the part number on top.

For example, when accessing the page for the STM32N645B0 part number, a small circle icon appears to the right of the product name. Clicking over this icon displays the current warranted time in a pop-up. Clicking further redirects you to the web page listing all products in the category.
