What is the correct procedure for FUS upgrade?

ACham.3

Hi,

The AN5185 in "FUS upgrade" part says that FUS can be updated even with wireless stack installed. According to release notes start address for FUS should be 0x080EC000, but if a wireless stack is installed (for example BLE) this area will be locked (SFSA will be 0x080ca000).

So, do we need to delete the wireless stack before FUS installation?

No, you don’t need to delete the wireless stack before FUS installation.

The values provided in the release notes are intended for a configuration with no wireless stack installed.

But you can download the new FUS in an area located after the wireless stack. At the end of the FUS update, this area is erased, and the system reverts back to its original memory configuration with the SFSA option byte set with the correct value.
