STM32WB5MM-DK power consumption test with x-nucleo-lpm01a

How do I connect x-nucleo-lpm01a with STM32WB5MM-DK to test power?

I am using the RF module from STM32WB5MM-DK and not the one from P-NUCLEO-WB55.

I know that there is a video for P-NUCLEO-WB55. Is there a video/guide for STM32WB5MM-DK as well?

Hello @DS.4

To connect the STM32WB5MM-DK to the X-Nucleo-lPM01A, you have to:

  • Remove the JP1 of the STM32WB5MM-DK.
  • Connect the Pin 1 of the CN14 of the X-Nucleo-lPM01A to a GND pin of the STM32WB5MM-DK.
  • Connect the Pin 3 of the CN14 of the X-Nucleo-lPM01A to the mentioned PIN (take a look at the second screenshot) on the JP1 of the STM32WB5MM-DK.

Is there an available pin or do I need to solder one?

Hello @DS.4

There is GND pins on the Arduino connector:Screenshot_2024-03-20-13-22-37-90_e2d5b3f32b79de1d45acd1fad96fbb0f.jpg

And also, on the ST Mod+ connector:

- only works with ST link  connected, otherwise its just show ~1mA constant

- I get this offset of 250uA when enters sleep ( I guess because of above?) , using BLE_HearRateFreeRtos example for P-NUCLEO-WB55

How can I power it from external source to validate?

Can I reach 3uA same as in P-NUCLEO-WB55
