The STM32WL5 data sheet says in section 3.9.1: The sub-GHz radio is an ultra-low-power sub-GHz radio operating in the 150 - 960 MHz ISM band.

Table 29 also contains the parameters: Frequency synthesiser range 150...960MHz

So the answer to your question is: no, successful operation of the STM32WL5 on 142MHz cannot be guaranteed.
