STM32H7 stock on 2023

RStra

Hello,

I'm design a new product based on STM32 and I'd like to use a H7 family. The main problem is that there is no stock on the market.

I'd like to know is there is any possibility that H7 or even F7 will return on stock with a normal price on the 2023 (at the moment I can find just few F7 but the price is higher than normal), or if it is better use an F4 microcontroller.

Kind regards,

Riccardo

Hello RStra,

Thank you for contacting STMicroelectronics. Regarding your inquiry, the available inventory I found with distributors (at the time my replying) is listed below:

I found 4K x STM32F7 at Arrow and Digikey each. Also, there are several F4 variants is avail at multiple distributors.

Mouser appears to have a few STM32F4 options

we dont need to firmware by ourselves, lets talk

The general problem with retail distribution is that they try to accommodate people who randomly show up with demand by ordering excess.

People with planners tend to place orders in advance, and those are laddered a year into the future at this point.

Understand capacity is limit/constrained, and a lot of that is already booked..

Expect "free stock" situation to change when capacity exceeds demand, or the market collapses.
