Hello,
I'd like to prototype a board with a STM32F205RGY MCU ... this is the WLCSP package of the F205RG. Seems I can't find it on any distributor site ... Thomas.2013-07-24 03:20 PM

Hello,
I'm happy to know this chip really exists (I already know the Sony watch had one). But that doesn't really answer my question ... where can I buy a few for prototyping ? Or is that a gentle way to reply the traditional answer : ''you'r not big enough to be interesting''. I guess if I were Sony I'd already have the samples in my mailbox ;) Thomas. PS : I've already sold about 10k STM32F205R chips in the QFP version in my designs.2013-07-25 08:28 AM
It must be a regional thing, I think I could find at least two distributors here who'd push in part requests for me. Interest/support tends to be logarithmic, but 10K is enough to be taken quite seriously. Wafer scale stuff would certainly be more specialized, if your current distribution/rep contacts aren't fighting for you, find some other hungrier ones.

this looks like your part number, the package is WLCSP and its in stock, but the package image is wrong

Don't give too much on the picture. The manufacturer number is right and the textual package description is right...
